And wave them like you don't care. I'm here to bring you guys some new and exciting news. First piece of news I'd like to share is WotW is finally adding in 'Jr. Mods' who will help with accepting apps as well as enforcing rules on the board/cbox. Before you ask, there isn't any sign ups for it because we already picked two people for the job. After gathering a group of hobos(with names attached to them) and giving them a knife and having them fight to the death for a burger the final two had chose our Jr. Mods, or we just talked about who we felt would fit that role, whatever explanation you want to go with is fine. Anyways, bloodbath/boring talks aside I would like to announce that Donnie and Ilheod is the new additions to the WotW staff, so if you have any questions you can feel free to shoot them a message if the orangish redish names are too scary for you.
The second piece of news I come with is the addition of a new class. I'm sure you're all aware of the Taguel, and no I don't have news of them being added for the masses yet. Instead I'm introducing a new mounted class, you're probably thinking "Senpai Kenny, we already have horses, pegi, and wyverns, what else can we add?" Griffons, yes we're jacking them from Awakening and adding them in here finally. Griffons are native to Vinland so naturally majority of the characters of that class line will be from there at first. Squires will have the option to promote into Griffon Riders(base class) and you can second seal into one as well. The promotion line will be as following:
Griffon Rider(Swords)
Now, here's some more information on the flying mounts in general. The chart that I'm about to post isn't a "hard stat" type of thing, just an easier way to represent each of their strengths and weaknesses scaling from 1 to 3, with 3 being the 'best'.
Griffons are mighty, powerfully built beasts, part lion and part eagle. Like the eagle that they borrow their wings from, they possess the highest top speeds while diving or cruising, but they are not the most agile at turning and tumbling in-flight. In close quarters they can defnitely give and take a hit, given that while they might not be the largest, they are well-muscled and fearsome.
Wyverns are the largest, dragon kin as they are, and while they may be the slowest at top speeds, their lithe frames give them good maneuverability in dogfights. Their size and scaled hides also make them the most durable, making them feasome in close quarters combat due to how much punishment they can take while dishing it out equally. They are the go-to mount for an invasion force given their hardiness.
Pegasi, while looking like horses, have much in common with birds. They are naturally skittish creatues with small, light frames and as such can dance around opponents. Their light weight also gives them good speed, and though they lack muscle, they fight gravity far less than their flying counterparts. Their weakness is sustained combat, and they are far more suitable for scouting and hit and run operations than full-scale assault.
NOTE: The speed and agility stats we put do not correlate to grounded performance. i.e. griffons would likely be more agile on the ground, while pegasi, given their horse-like bodies, would lose much of theirs.
