He was panting now, already. At-least initially, he felt the shock of fatigue ebbing away his stamina. It might have been a temporary drain, but what a cost! There was a..bitter irony that wasn't lost to him, as the monstrosity defended itself with a barrier. Barrier magic. Yeah..I know that one all too well. He leaned his head backwards to gaze at the sky with a soft chuckle of exasperation even as the creature emerged from the small fragmented surface of smoldering waste his spell had created. Corpses around the shadowy figure might have been reduced to slag and burnt fragments, yet it remained. He leaned his head back down to gaze at the creature. a soft smile that was almost always present flashing upon his lips.
He should've been horrified. Terrified. Worried. However in the face of everything that was happening..all he could think of was a sense of thankfulness. He was able to attempt to protect those he cared about before the danger reached them. It was, truly, all he'd ever wanted. This sense of ease did little to quell however his sudden yelp as the deep booming tones of the other man burst forth as he began to transform. His mind jumped to a single thought. A single conclusion. Nayru. He couldn't deny the marvel at having actually seen a dragon for once. He'd never seen her transform, but he at-least knew of their existence. That dampened the surprise a bit, and more importantly, let the priest maintain his footing in face of the real threat.
Shouting. Screaming. Such appalling sounds as the large hulking figure rushed towards the priest. Remus lifted his hand as he looked on, magic bursting to his call as the holy essence pulsed throughout his very core. This darkness, and this tortured corpse it controlled, would bring great harm to countless lives. Though regret sunk heavy upon his shoulders, it had to be exercised.
He didn't have time to address what the other two women were saying, given the sudden assault by this creature. He could feel the air rushing around him. Not just from the light magic he called forth, but because his barrier he'd placed on himself still lingered. He could, hopefully, withstand a few blows at best. As holy energy surged to his palm, he fired three swift bolts of light towards the creature in an attempt to strike it down. He had a sinking sense however, that much like the large gargoyle he'd battled with Nayru, in contrast to the smaller ones, this creature could endure a few volleys and still pose a considerable threat.

Losing an eye ages ago limited Liam's viability in his dragon form quite a bit. He was turning his head far more than he had wanted, because of that he had missed one of the minions that the dark creature had spawned slipping past him. He would deal with it, but due to Liam's massive size and how close it was to the priest he knew that would be the worst course of action. With Aria and the swordsman near by, the three of them should be able to handle it.
Out if the four, Liam had the greatest potential to do some serious damage to a large number of foes if needed. As long as he could hold the dark creature's attention, as well as anything else that pops up, the three of them should be able to handle the hulking undead. He hasn't fought anything in his dragon form since the Scouring, but it was something that one wouldn't easily forget. He shifted his head where his good eye was focused on the ancient foe.
"wux tepohada underestimated ve ini sending dout minon citrel wer munthreki. ihk si mi ixen! si mi... marfedelom!"* Liam said in a deep, booming voice that sounded like nails on a chalk board.
Beating his massive wings Liam took to the air, first he created some distance flying towards the others before circling around and flying towards the Madness. Mid circle he opened his mouth taking in a deep breath, he began to gather flames in his mouth. As he was about to pass over the Madness he coated the ground in flames.
Doing another turn around, Liam had returned back to where his flight began and reverted to his humanoid form, almost as if he was taunting the Arum Knight.
*"You had underestimated me by sending your minon towards the humans. For I am fire! I am... death!"

Sh*t. That escalated quickly. That Thing just.. was it unfazed by that priests spell? What the hell? I though light magic was good against these undead creeps. Aria thought to herself as she started to assess the situation from the air. Liam started talking but it was impossible for her to decipher what it was due to his dragon voice and the constant blowing of the wind in her ears. That Black Armored thing spawned some more undead and sent them out towards the priest and blonde girl. The blonde girl was running off sword in hand towards the nearest town. Smart move.
Unfortunately, for her the Armored knight sent out one of the undead after her. Aria circled Chewy around and made a B-line towards the blonde girl's monster. She had her iron lance in hand and pulled the reigns in. The signaled Chewy to dive down, towards the undead, just before the wyvern crashed into the ground she pulled up and glided towards the walking corpse. Aria drew her lance out upfront so that it would be the first thing that hit the corpse followed by Chewy's body. This "gliding" wasn't gentle. The undead minion soon felt the force of a lance skewering it then several hundred pound wyvern crashing into it. With a few flicks of her wrist Aria pulled the lance out of the zombie's chest and just to make sure the job was done Chewy smacked it with her tail before taking off again.
Aria had Chewy fly above the blonde haired woman for a bit.
"Hey I've got your back! Don't worry just get to the villages!"

Colchys started back when she heard the wyvern rider. Nodding, she made her way through lines and lines of thick trees.
The town seemed farther than ever now, but the woman was carried by a mix of fear and the desire to warn the unsuspecting villagers. What would they say if they had heard I had ran away without saying anything to anyone? she thought. No-one would want to hire me if that happened. She didn't consider herself especially cowardly. Fleeing from the ensuing battle wasn't a matter of cowardice - it was a matter of common sense.
The village was up ahead in the distance now, so the rider's help may have been less material than she thought it would have been. The villagers' safety was top priority, although deep down she was apprehensive about being left alone.
She looked up at the wyvern rider and shouted back. "You go ahead to the villages further up! I'll be fine on my own, and you can fly faster than I can run!"
Turning back, Colchys immediately regretted her words. Two zombies were squirming towards her, and she was already winded from the workout all that running had given her. She grit her teeth and turned back at them, drawing her sword in a defensive stance. While still as keen as ever, the weak grip and the tired look on her face belied her vulnerability and loss of morale.
"Hark, monsters." she said, her breath ragged. "It's as good a day to die as any."

PLEASE HELP ME END ME END ME END ME END ME END ME MAKE THE PAIN GO AWAY PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
While the corpse screamed for help all the way trough, it did not falter. It's screams just grew as each of the bolts crashed against it. One bolt tore off some of it's shoulder, revealing festering meat and broken bone, maggots crawling out of the wound to escape their suddenly under attack home. Another hit against the body's chest, sending it sliding back a few feet, only for it to continue. Another landed on the same spot as the first, breaking even more of the skin and bone, causing the arm to go slightly limp. But that wasn't going to stop Gunther.
I WANT TO DIE
The corpse began to run, it's feet stomping against the ground. As it got closer and closer it twisted it's upper body back a bit, before then jerking forwards, attempting to use the now limp and probably dead arm to smack the priest away with surprisingly strong force.
Meanwhile Madness was in her own troubles. While her plan had been to sneak around while all the humans were busy with her men, and to quickly kill the follower of the saint before it could do great damage, the dragon came. The sound of the fire blasting down was the thing that alerted her. She quickly draw Seelenchmaus and slammed it onto the ground. The fire soared down and blasted against her whole body, almost melting the armor. She barely had enough time to get the protective barrier up once more, but she could feel her armor heating up once more. Gods, couldn't this thing just leave her alone? What did some humans matter to the beast?
"Foolish lizard. You dare to stand against the King? You dare to bring your scaly behind out here into the sunlight after all that has happened to your kind? I'll end you and take that heart, the beating stone, and absorb in it's warmth." Calm words followed by her suddenly breaking the barrier by chucking Seelenschmaus towards the now humanoid dragon. She set off for a charge right after, aiming to barrage her shoulder against the lizard man if she could.

The creature before him certainly was a miserable sight. Pity welled up within the priest as the wailing lament of the undead corpse burst forth with ceaseless strife. His magic made to strike the beast down, yet it persisted. Agonized all the further, it seemed. The draconic noises around him were enough to briefly draw his eye at the sudden motions. One of the undead skeletal fiends had managed to move past the dragon; running right for the holy blue clad man himself. Before he could attempt to handle it however, the sudden blow of the limp undead meaty arm crashing against him send him sliding backwards.
There was a pulse around Remus. A brief flash as magic became visible like a plating of glass that had encased him. Though the sheer force was not lost to him, his body was protected from harm by the barrier he'd cast upon himself minutes prior. The priest found a somewhat dark thought cross his mind. For though he smiled, he knew that he would have to forgo any efforts to "save" this soul, and instead strike them down. Lifting his hand skywards, a brilliant light cast forth and intense radiance shone from his body. The excess holy magic pulsated as if he himself projected a ring of light, and from the heavens a thin beam of light put the tortured soul within its illumination. Though he did not put as much effort into it as his initial attempt; he knew he'd have to put gusto into it. He attempted to call down the divine magic of purge once more.
The small beam burst into furious heat and a thick pillar of light came down for the briefest of moments as he made an attempt to destroy this large bodied corpse. The roaring tower of holy magic lasted not two seconds though before vanishing, as Remus ceased the flow and found himself forced to hop backwards; the shambling corpse that had moved past the dragon now moving in to attempt an injury on the priest.
The blue haired male's gaze darted as he tried to keep himself aware to each small detail. His growing fatigue. The fact that his barrier would likely expire after the next blow. The dragon, and the monster it fought against. The blonde and the wyvern rider near her. He didn't want to let any small detail escape his notice. He couldn't afford to. Not this time.

The monster had spoke about the Scouring. It had seemed it's kind had known what happened in this world after they were banished hundreds of years before his birth. It was quite possible that it knew Liam wasn't as powerful as he was before the war, but really bothered him was the fact it mentioned his stone. Without it, he was a glorified human, but luckily he kept his hidden so that wouldn't happen.
"What happens to those miserable sacks of flesh doesn't matter to me. What I see before me is a foe worthy of killing. But since you want to bring up the past, do I need to remind you of what happened to your kind?"
There was some truth in his words, he did not care what happened to the humans in the near by towns, he just wanted them to leave him alone after the battle, being hunted after this would be his death, assuming he survived this encounter. As far as the ones here, he only cares about saving Aria, the blue haired one was a valuable support so losing him would be bad. Unfortunately, he couldn't simply aid him at this moment, if he was to turn his back it would give the Arum an opening. What he could do though, was stall for some time.
"What does your King seek in Elibe? The land has fallen from grace from the days of old. Is it out of revenge, or spite of losing to dragons with the help of pitiful human?"
The Arum's initial response was a charge, aiming to RAM it's pauldron into his gut. Liam braced for impact with one foot behind himself, as soon as he was hit he let out a grunt as he threw his arms around it and attempted to suplex it.

Go up ahead and alert the other towns? You've got two undead on your a** you fool girl! Aria thought as she drew one of her javelins out of it's holster. She undid the knot that kept her tied to her saddle. Chewy was circling around in the air like a vulture did to a corpse. Aria pressed her feet against the leg holsters of her saddle and stood up. She wrapped the reigns around her free wrist and held on tight. The sky haired rider assumed a standard spear throwing position. She called out for Chewy to lower her head before she threw the Javelin towards one of the undead. The javelin skewered through the undead's shoulder and impaled itself the neck-shoulder region. Crap! That was not it's head. The rider then drew another javelin and launched it. Hitting the neck of the same undead in nearly the same spot but at a different angle. So the two javelins lodged in it's body made a sort of > formation when viewed. Aria figured it managed to sever some sort of motor control with that undead as the creature stopped moving and collapsed onto the floor. It managed to give the blonde haired swords woman a bit of breathing room as she now had only one monster to deal with.
She quickly sat back down and grabbed her lance. Her next planned attack was to charge at the undead still harassing the blonde. But she was distracted by a noise or rather a cry. A cry that baby wyverns made when ever they were distressed. While Liam had instructed little Julius to stay close to him it had proved difficult for the young flightless wyvern. Especially, since Liam had flown around, and launched fire at the ground. Although, Liam had now landed in the area where he started, Julius was not anywhere near by.
"I got him!" Aria shouted out towards Liam as they flew past overhead. Chewy quickly flew out towards where she could hear the cries. Somehow the little one managed to get himself lost in the remains of the woodlands. And was cornered by one of the undead scouts. Aria could read the pattern of movements in Chewy's body.
"Chew! No! Wait!" The wyvern landed, tucked in her wings, and charged straight towards the living corpse. Unfortunately for Aria not all the trees were knocked down. She was hit hard with one of the branches and knocked off of her wyvern. Chewy didn't seem to notice the missing woman and continued her attack. Aria on the other hand was hanging by her arms on the branch. Her chest plate managed to spare her ribs from breaking but she would be very sore and probably with a large nasty bruise upon removal. She let go of the branch and landed on the ground with a thud.
"Damn.. it."Everything is going to hurt like hell after this. Crap.. Chew ran off with all the weapons. She held her chest with one arm. Julius ran up to her ecstatic. His little tail kicked up the leaf litter.
"I.. am not even going to ask how you ended up this far away.. but i'm glad you are ok." Aria smiled softly at the little creature before she tried to stand up straight. Her chest and back refused. The rider gitted her teeth and forced herself to stand correctly. She whistled for Chewy. She glanced back down at Julius who seemed to be standing on something. A strange white-blue spear. Probably that undead's weapon. Aria picked it up. She examined it for a bit and used the arm that wasn't on her chest to move it in striking motions.
"Finder's keepers."

Before Colchys could thank the wyvern rider, she had already flown off to elsewhere in the forest. She could only hope that she had heard the message. The remaining monster was running at her anyway, and she had no time to do anything other than respond in kind.
Blade met flesh as Colchys buried her sword into the monster's flank, roaring in fury. The blow wasn't enough to kill the monster, though, and it slashed at her side with its claws. The blow connected and Colchys felt a sharp, searing pain. Crying out, she drove the blade into the ground, impaling the monster on it. Blood dripped from her wound as she took her sword out and crushed the monster's face into a pulp with it.
Colchys held the wound at her side with her free hand. It was raw and bleeding from its freshness, but otherwise superficial: she had taken worse in her career. She staggered the remaining distance clutching her blade, her footfalls soft and her balance shaky. Tears dripped from her eyes, mixing in with sweat.
The villagers were already running when she got there, probably scared off by the dragon's roar. She didn't have time to comprehend that, though. She started screaming "Monsters! There are monsters coming!" at the townspeople until her throat was hoarse. Finally, driven to her limit from the running and fighting, she collapsed onto the ground.
Colchys felt herself being lifted up on shoulders, and a man's voice faintly asking if she was alright. She could barely open her eyes, but struggled back up and started moving in the same direction as the man. Her movements were still shaky and she sensed that the man wasn't nearly as fast as she'd hoped.
Grimacing, she saw only one thing to do. Her free hand, still clasping her wound, dug its fingers deeper into the gash. The pain forced her eyes wide open and her head to clear. She left a red trail as she ran with the man, but hopefully she had mustered enough strength to outrun the scouts.

"PLEASE END ME, THE END, THE END, I SEE THE LIIIIGHHTTTT"
Gunther screamed as the pillar slammed down on his body. While two seconds only lasted that, two seconds, the holy fire did it's damage. The bag of rot and puss fell onto it's knees, most of it's flesh melting off. Bone was showing, black veins pumping dark tar trough it's body. It held one arm to it's chest, the one that it could still move, looking down and groaning loudly. Slowly though, it rose. It looked around, eyes still red. And then it's eyes landed on Remus. It tilted it's head, almost as if trying to find some understanding from the priest. A slow step forwards. Another. It raised it's fist, it's face drooping due to the melting skin.
"please end it"
Meanwhile, a moment's content at connecting the slam was turned sour as the dragon wrapped it's arms around her waistline. A moment passed as she was flung and slammed down onto the ground with a loud thump, but no sounds of pain or agony from the walking armory. She grunted and sprung her legs forwards, attempting to kick the other way, scampering to gain some standing ground for herself. Seelenschmaus pulsated in her hand, hungering for the souls of the living with every moment, to bend them to it's will. It'd feast soon enough.
"My kind still lives without fear in it's heart, scalebound. We do not fear humanity and we do not hide... Our king would not have such cowardice in his heart, not now, not in a thousand years. While your kind... Pfah. Mostly gone. Extinct. Forgotten and thought of as a myth by the vermin you are oh so close to right at the moment. What my king wants does not belong for me to know. I am but the spear of his will, the blade that cuts down his enemies, for him, and for our people."
"Although I admit, cleansing this world of your kind AND of the vermin would be preferable. Mother earth has suffered long enough under them. A tide of plague upon them and a tide of plague upon you."

There was an underlying profound sense of remorse that he felt in his required deeds. He took no joy in desecrating the human body. Even as the tortured soul pleaded for release and mercy. However this was an abomination. Even as he saw the black pulsating veins ensnared through and around the bones of the corpse he knew what we'd have to do. The shambling beast stumbled and attempted to rise. This moment of slow motions was a reprieve for the priest. He lowered his head and quietly took to centering himself. His right hand pressed to his chest as he eased his eyes shut. Pale lips parted, and the priest quietly spoke his hearts truest will.
"Grant me the strength to free this soul. Embrace them...and welcome them back...to the light.."
Brilliant aura surged, pulsating around the priest with such a bright essence that it almost obscured direct sight of him. His unyielding singular desire to save the poor corpse before him was such a focal point that the blue haired etrurian male became aware of the radiant light magic he called upon. When he opened his eyes, he gazed with focused intent while he lifted his hand. Though barrier magics still pulsated around his skin, he stood his ground not out of comfort int his but assurances that he wouldn't fail. He fired concentrated bolts of light, a trio of burning intense energy; only to lift his hand upwards as the air rushed around him. Calling upon the truest essence of lighting magic, blossoming small bursts of energy combusted all around the zombified male before Remus attempted to bring it all downwards upon him so each burst of holy magic rushed inwards to explode; enveloping him in purest magics and send his tortured soul home...
As he did this, Remus turned scathing gaze to the darkened soldier before muttering a quiet phrase. Possibly heard? He knew not of the creature..monster's hearing capabilities. He cared not if it heard..but he recited a line often preached to aspiring practitioners of his faith.
"Sickness must be purged.."

Liam rose to his feet quickly, in order to prevent the Arum from gaining the upper hand.
"So your King sees you as a pawn. A sacrificial lamb, sending you here to do his dirty work and to die in the process. " He was hoping to strike a nerve, to anger the Arum. He let out a chuckle at the thought of dragons being extinct.
"I don't know where you got your information from, but my kind is far from being extinct. There are quite a few like myself roaming Elibe wearing mask such as this one. That's not including the one's who used the dragon gate to go to another plane. It was a choice to save the land as well as my people."
Liam shot a glace towards the others before returning his eye to the Arum in front of him. He didn't see the blonde woman nor Aria, hopefully Aria was okay. The blue haired man was still on his feet, fighting the hulking abomination. For now he would have to focus on avoiding the spear the creature had, he knew next to nothing about it's kind as well as their weaponry, both could prove to be more nasty than the legendary weapons of the Scouring.
Rotating his right shoulder he began to talk once again. "So, are we going to keep dancing or are we just going to stand here chit chatting? It's been a good while since o got to smash somebody's skull in." Well excluding the mountain path a few months ago.

Aria whistled for Chewy once again. The brick colored wyvern was distracted with the remains of the animated corpse it had just finished mauling. Aria sighed softly and tapped her foot. The sky haired rider was in no mood to deal with Chewy’s behaviors. Especially, when they were in the middle of a fight. Especially, when said fight consisted of one monster, who can spawn other monsters, a shape shifting one eyed dragon man, and a priest. That sounds like the set up to a bad joke. The rider mused to herself before whistling a third time. This time her whistle was louder and quicker than before.
She glanced over at little Julius who was just sitting there. His gaze focused on Aria as if he was waiting for her to do something.
“What am I going to do with you? You can’t follow Liam around..presently.. It’s too dangerous.” She sighed.
Chewy finally made her way back to Aria and Julius. She had a disembodied human arm in her mouth and she dropped it onto the floor. Presenting it like some sort of trophy. Aria ordered Chewy to crouch down so that the rider can get back on her saddle. She winced in pain before gripping the reins and eventually pulled herself up.
Chewy gave a cry of concern before Aria spoke to her.
“You and I are going to have a discussion about you running full gallop into a forest with low lying trees! And me on your back! In the near future! Now, tell Julius to hide in this little alcove in the trees.” Aria spoke to Chewy with annoyance in her voice. Chewy rocked her up to get a better look at Aria. Then looked down at Julius, growled, and signaled for the little wyvern to hide. Aria then guided Chewy to move out towards the clearing. The rider had no idea what was going on. But it seemed that Liam was talking to the armored.. Man? Woman? Person. Yep. We're gonna go with that. She pulled the reigns and ordered Chewy back up into the air. She’d be flying around nearby scouting for any remaining undead that might be floating around.

Claire had been in Sacae when the Bandit King had returned from the dead and waged war upon the Sacaens. What she had saw there made her sick to her stomach, vile undead creatures wondering around murdering anything alive in sight. Once the fighting was over she had donated Ciel to the restoration of the city that was ransacked. While the young woman missed her chance to meet the fabled swordsman, she was happy knowing she had some her best to help give his people hope.
Speaking of giving people hope, and the undead, people from her homeland was losing hope and was ravaged by creatures much like what she saw in Sacae, which brought her to Laus. She was working as a soldier of sorts protecting the village from stray undead that ventured too close, only if today had been just as simple. She was walking around town in her armor and her sword at her hip when she heard it. A loud roar, one so loud it had shook the windows of the houses, she had never heard anything like it before. Moments later, after the ringing in her ears died down, she heard somebody shouting "DRAGON! IT'S A DRAGON!" As they ran into the streets. Panic had overwhelmed the people, choas quickly followed with people frantically running about. It didn't take long before somebody new entered town warning them of monsters, normally that would be her queue but with a dragon out and about? She was unsure what to do.
No, the woman was injured, what Claire had to do was clear. With the people in a disorderly panic, she would have to help hold the line until the people could escape safely. She ran up to the blonde girl. "Excuse me, but I couldn't help to notice that you were bleeding. There should be a healer in the West side of town, at least that's where she normally be. If you could point me in the direction of the monsters, I would appreciate it."

Colchys didn't know how to feel about meeting this new warrior. On one hand, the help certainly was appreciated, and it was good to know that one extra pair of hands was joining the fight. On the other hand, she hadn't exactly made the best first impression on the pink-haired girl. She mentally cursed herself for thinking about something like that at a time like this.
At that point, she was too tired to do anything except point the girl at the right direction. The man smiled at the new warrior, nodded and ambled on towards the healer's house.
The old man was packing vulneraries when the pair got to his house. Colchys screamed a little as she felt the man disengage, her weight staggering onto
"This woman needs help, Elder." the man said. Nodding, the healer took out a small bag and applied the paste inside to her wound. Colchys grimaced and then sighed as the herb's effects washed through the wound.
She stood up and motioned to the old man's bag. "Let me carry that. Least I could do for you, old man." Disregarding her remark, the healer heaved the bag into her arms and the three fled from the scene.
