Yakumo had went out in a open field in Ilia so that she can train her dark magic skills without the worry of nearby people getting in the way of her training. Yakumo shot out simple bolts of dark magic from her tome as a means of testing her tome to make sure it would work fine in here training and in real combat. "Good, the tome works perfectly well, now to get start with some real attacks."
Yakumo would now start firing some real dark magic attacks, destroying some trees with her attacks. "Just as I expected from my level of skill, but I can do better." Yakumo would keep destroying more trees, trying to see if her magic can get any better but to no luck at all. "Guess I should keep training more." After getting down with her training, Yakumo had sat down next to a tree and made a small camp for her to stay at and rest herself from all the training she had done today.
Yakumo looked at her map, looking for the nearest town or village she can head to for her travels to learn everything she can about the dark arts and improve her skills as a Shaman. Yakumo grabbed her supply of water and takes a drink from it and lays down to think of her plans for tomorrow. Yakumo soon realized it was starting to get late and not wanted to get stuck in the cold, she started heading to the nearest city so she could seek shelter for the night. "The sooner I can get out of Ilia, the better, can't stay here much longer anyway, I got things I need to do with such little time."

Morrigan had been forewarned about Ilia's rather frigid environment, and those warnings proved to be very apt. The snowy country was far colder than anything Morrigan had experienced before, rivaling the coldest winters from back in the convent. During her missions from the Convent to Ilia she HAD met an Ilian Pegasus Knight before. Stern lass, but honest. She spoke fondly of her homeland quite often as well.
Surprisingly enough Morrigan could see why. There was something almost otherwordly beautiful about the landscape. It was so...still, and quiet. So harsh that mankind could not corrupt it with their touch. Many trees bore no leaves and instead pines, given the forests a thicker and darker green to contrast the heavy white of the snow and brown of the tree trunks and fallen logs. There was no birdsong, the only real music the Ilian woods provided were the howls and whistles of the wind.
Still, as lovely and alluring as Morrigan found it to be she could not risk to linger longer. The heavy purple cloak she had purchased before making the journey to Ilia was useful but it would only keep her so warm for so long. She needed to find an inn to rest her weary feet before continuing on. However, as Morrigan padded through the light snow, she spotted something interesting on the trees around her.
Something had...burned into them? No, that wasn't quite it. They didn't exactly look like burns, but instead...ah, she recognized it. Dark magic. Perhaps from a Flux tome. The marks were fairly light, not enough to truly damage this tree...but she saw some other, smaller ones that had been felled. Had an elder mage gone into combat here? She saw no other battle marks...perhaps it was simple training. The destruction appeared to be a simple Flux spell, nothing too advanced.
Still, Morrigan proceeded with caution, unwittingly following some faint footsteps along her path. Soon enough she spotted someone ahead of her. Dressed in a blue robe or cloak, with indigo hair. Had she witnessed what happened back in the clearing?
"Ah, excuse me, miss." Morrigan asked, quickening her pace a bit to catch up to the woman. "Did you happen to pass by the field behind us? I was just wondering what took place there. So many trees seem to have been destroyed." Had she not seen the familiar mark of flux bolts, Morrigan would have assumed it had been a simple windstorm. Such things seemed extremely plausible in a place such as Ilia.

Yakumo was gathering her things for her trip back to the town to rest herself for the night only to be stopped in her place by a women had asked her a question about what had happened to the trees in the area. Though Yakumo was not in the mood to chat with anyone, she was thinking about acting like she was not even there and go on about her business but she figured that it wouldn't hurt to let her know what really happened to the trees. "I destroyed them for my simple dark magic training, nothing more, nothing less, is that a good enough answer for you?" After answering her question, she pulled out one of her tomes and started reading.
Yakumo then decided to take a look at the person who Yakumo was talking to and could easily tell this person was a magic user, though Yakumo didn't care how good she was or how famous she is or even what type of magic she did, all of those things didn't even matter to Yakumo and talking about such things is just a waste of time for her. Yakumo turned back to the women and wondered though what brings a person out at this time of night,in reality Yakumo could care less about her reasons for coming out here but decided to ask her anyway."I have to asked, what brings you out here at this time, are you here to train? If so, go ahead I was about to leave anyway."
Yakumo turned around and pulled out her map and looked again for the town she could find the fastest and found one not to far north of here. After setting her destination, Yakumo readied herself and got her stuff together but guess she could wait first and hear what that woman has to say first before she left.

The initial reply Morrigan received was..rather curt, and off-putting. While she disagreed with rampant destruction for the sake of elder magic training, she didn't see the value in lecturing someone who clearly had no intention of speaking. In fact Morrigan was prepared to leave the conversation at that and move on. The woman seemed more interested in reading passages from her tome as it were.
However, despite this curtness, she still asked Morrigan what her business there was. Why bother continuing a conversation you don't want to have? Hmm...Morrigan pondered on the thought a bit, realizing she had done the same many times before. Simply because she felt it the right thing to do, honestly. So rather than turn and leave Morrigan decided to answer her question.
"Train? I presume you've guessed that I'm some sort of magic user, then?" It was the only logical answer to the woman's question. Morrigan wore no armour and carried no weapons. Her tomes weren't visible, but tomes were easier to hide than an axe. Once again, Morrigan has been outed as a sorceress based on appearances alone. "Do I REALLY look so much like a witch?" She found herself thinking, once again. Either way she sighed and crossed her arms. Might as well own up to it.
"You'd be correct, then, but I did not come here to train." Perhaps if she had a Fimbulvetr or some other ice tome. Morrigan imagined such spells would be quite potent in the area. "I'm...searching, for something. I certainly didn't expect to find another student of elder magic, though. Am I correct in assuming you are still rather...new, to the field?"
If she was practicing Flux spells then no doubt she was not meeting an experienced user of elder magic. There was something odd about elder magic that forced one to be more impersonal. Too often Morrigan found that younger students took this need to be "impersonal" too far. It was simply one had to be impersonal with the Nether, not with life. In fact the more personal one was with other aspects of life, in Morrigan's opinion, the stronger their ties to the current world ought to be. The less likely it was for the Nether to take them.
"But what about Raine, who had a loving husband and a child? Was that not enough of a tie to keep her tethered here?" Morrigan didn't dare share these thoughts, keeping them buried within her. Instead she gauged the young mage, curious as to her response.
