Lucerne, Bern
Today was the day. A huge day! Aria’s favorite holiday. National Wyvern Day! Today was a day for Bern. A national holiday to celebrate the country’s national animal. Chewy and Aria took some time off from their travels to fly home and celebrate the day with her family. While a majority of the festivities occurred within the city walls there was also plenty of action to be seen outside the city.
Every year her family of wyvern breeders prepared a patch of land outside the city gates to show off their wyverns. They used their wyverns as a bit of a show and tell in order to educate the next generation about wyverns. They invited children and young adults into the wyvern pens so that they could see, hear, and touch the wyverns. For a small fee folks could even ride one.
Aria brought Liam and Julius along with her. After the events with the monster in black armor it was decided that they could use a small break. They landed a little bit outside of the family’s event compound. Chewy was tired from the flight but she was happy at the same time. She loved coming back home to see the family. Aria did too. But, this was the first time Aria brought guests with her.
“Phew.. we are here.” Aria rubbed Chewy’s head. The brick colored wyvern gave a soft growl that almost sounded like purring. She then lightly clicked her heels and gave Chewy the command for dismounting.

Lucerne...again. Lately Eris had found herself either on assignment at the city or just off-duty more often than not. At the moment she was being grudgingly misused: a sort of guard for Wyvern Day. Perhaps her superiors thought that any who were granted such a job were really being blessed with some sort of vacation. In Eris' case it was much closer to torture than anything else.
It was a time to appreciate wyverns and the brave knights and soldiers that rode them. People like Commander Ilheod, but most of them were less deserving of the praise than he. Thinking too much on it genuinely made Eris want to vomit, and the scowl she wore near permanently on her face more or less clued her fellow soldiers in that she was best left alone until this mission was accomplished.
At the moment Eris was patrolling the city gates, which was likely for the best as it was the quietest part of Lucerne at that moment. Already many were flying in on their wyverns, while some were bringing them on land to...wherever they intended to post them up for people to be jealous, or proud, or whatever they were supposed to feel. All Eris felt like was driving her lance through a training dummy. She'd been complaining about being cooped up in Macendew for too long, but that would certainly beat this. ANYTHING would beat this.
Eris paused and watched with a sneer as more wyverns settled on the hills, leaning against a wall whilst huffing her annoyance.

When Hal had traveled Bern looking for odd jobs he had heard about a festival dedicated to wyverns in Lucerne but he was never lucky enough to attend it himself. He had actually forgot about it after spending a couple of years in Lycia until he heard about it a couple of weeks ago. He almost kicked himself for forgetting something as awesome as that, he made plans to attend this year but first, he would have to make one of his promised visits home. He was almost tackled by Sol before he even reached home, he spent a few days there before he readied Sol's saddle and made his way to Lucerne.
Once the two arrived Hal slide off the saddle and placed his shield on his back before petting Sol. "Sol" it was as if the wyvern was ignoring Hal, he was amazed by the number of humans and wyvern around. His head kept moving, taking in all of the sights, sounds, and the smells. "SOL!" Hal commanded again, the wyvern whipped it's head back to look at the boy. "These are not like other wild wyvern, I heard you were playing too rough with the other wyverns that stopped by back home." Sol had let out a whining noise as he was scolded.
As the two approached the main gate a mob of little kids came running towards them, all of the other wyvern were surrounded by people and this one wasn't. Hal smiled as they gawked at the wyvern, knowing he would have done the same at their age. Sol let out a honking noise as he extended his wings as the kids had began to laugh at his actions, spending time in Hal's village thought the young wyvern how human children reacted to his actions. Hal had saw one of the wyvern attendants approaching him, to direct Hal and Sol to where the other wyvern were so they didn't block traffic. Hal had asked if he could take Sol so he could enter the city. Before the two parted ways Hal reminded Sol to be on his best behavior.

What a splendid day we have on our hands. Cora was once again sitting with her right leg crossed over her left as she observed the surrounding outside the carriage window. She was returning from the Bern/Lycian border with no leads on her father's whereabouts. He seemed to have just vanished without a trace. Cora wore an expressionless look on her face, neither portraying her anger of having nothing to go off of to find her father or her content for the beautiful scenery outside. The man who owned and drove this carriage had found Cora's unpleasant demeanor quite daunting, thus he offered to take her to Lucerne.
"Lucerne? Why?" Cora stopped and thought for a second or two, "Well I suppose I have nowhere else to be at the time. What's in Lucerne?" Cora hadn't been to Lucerne for quite a few months. She couldn't remember anything truly memorable for her to go back at this exact moment.
"Lucerne is hosting Bern's National Wyvern Day, we happen to be in close vicinity of the city Ma'am." Cora quickly spoke on his finishing word, "Do not call me 'Ma'am.' I can't stand that word, especially used to define me. Do I like like some old housewife with eight children?" Cora knows that Ma'am is just another way to name a lady, but that word held meaning to her. She remembers people calling her mother by that word. Cora chuckled as her mother came into her mind. This woman seems to always find a way to drift into my mind.
"Sure, lets go to Lucerne. It would be fun to crash a nice festival," the yeoman grinned as she unsheathed her silver sword and wiped it with a handkerchief. After, a short trip Cora arrived at the gates of Lucerne. Guards directed the carriage rider to another direction, to try and limit the amount of traffic in the city. Cora told her driver to go where he needed to go and she would just walk. The yeoman stepped out of the carriage and set upon the city. She was never a huge fan of wyverns, but today they perked her interest. They seemed happy, rather than like the battle hungry wyverns she noticed in the army. Their happiness radiated to Cora. The woman continued to walk by and noticed several activities, restaurants, and of course decorations with wyverns. Cora wasn't sure what to try. Now that Cora had seen what was present in the city, Cora wasn't sure that bringing her weapons was the best course of action. It was a habit to bring them along all the time.

Aria had pleaded that the two return back to Bern to attend the wyvern festival. Liam had tried to say no but she insisted that they go back together, they needed a chance to relax. Being the closest thing to a friend to Liam, outside of Julius, he ended up caving in and agreeing. As the two got closer and closer to the location Liam could see the sheer excitement on Aria's face, so he told her to fly in ahead and he'll catch up.
One thing he didn't look forward to was the large group of loud, obnoxious, and drunk humans but he was determined not to be a sour puss. He soon heard then saw the festivities and looked down towards Julius. "Julius." the young wyvern look up at him as it trotted along trying to match his pace. "There's going to be a lot of humans, as well as your kind. Don't you wonder off." Once they arrived to the gate, there were far more people than he expected, it was going to be a case where Aria would have to spot him first, he couldn't make out human faces to well in a large crowd like this.
He knelt over and picked up little Julius, who moan out a complaint. "Sir, the little wyvern didn't li-" Liam cut him off with an angry stare. "N-n-never mind. Do as you please as long as harm doesn't co- sorry". Liam walked past him, bumping him out of the way as he placed Julius onto his shoulder. "Can you see them boy?"

Festivities inside the city ranged from dart throwing, knife throwing, archery, strength competitions, as well aerial jousting. A field outside of the city was used for fencing and duels. There were several vendors selling wyvern and Bern themed objects. Food was available, provided if people could pay for it. Meat sticks and roasted vegetables were common. Sweets such as mini pies and short cakes, were available by a few select vendors for a higher price. There were even vendors selling wyvern safe treats like flavored jerky and fish. For the children there were various performers, aerobatics, fire eaters, magicians, from the circus folk, as well as some puppet plays. There were other small plays that depicted tales of Bern’s founders and how wyverns were tamed. Folks who wanted to go to a handful of the events outside the main city, could hitch a wagon ride from either of the city's gates.
Liam and Julius departed from Aria’s company. Aria was fine with that. It gave her a chance to head out to her family ranch. She needed to arrange lodging for herself and her guests. Her family ranch was situated in Lucerne’s countryside. Aria’s family had a reunion of sorts. Aria’s father was a man named Willis. He was an older gentleman. He had a bald head and a slight limp to his walk. The only remnant of his own sky colored hair lingered in his grizzled grey beard. He was of average size and weight. He had good muscle to him. He had arms that mimicked those of sailors. Crafted not by the sea but, rather by a lifetime of wyvern rearing, and farm work.
Aria’s mother was named Grace. She was a tall woman, fair skinned, and a face peppered with freckles. She sported her wavy hair in a braid. Held back by a bandana. She wore the clothes of a commoner. A life time ago the woman was quite a beauty. Before she married, she was a singer, and entertainer for a troupe. Her hair was once a light shade of brown but it too showed signs of grey. She did not display the same muscles like her husband. Her life on the ranch was confined to more domestic responsibilities. Responsibilities that she once tried and failed to put on her only daughter.
Her parents along with the rest of Aria’s five siblings were busy tending to the ranch festivities. The ranch was very large. The property was acquired by Aria’s great-great grandfather. A man who was rewarded this vast tracts of land for his service and dedication to a lord long ago. Each generation has further expanded the territory, family home, and functions ever since. The territory was walled off from the rest of the landscape by a series of wooden and stone walls. The family manor sat in the middle of the territory. Dotted around it were various stables and sheds.
There was a section of land that was strictly used for the family’s festivities. The siblings and parents separated out a few of their choice wyverns in order to demonstrate to the audience the natural aging and life cycle of a wyvern. A small section was fenced off to show one of their breeding females and her little hatchlings. The mother and hatchlings were forbidden from being touched. Near them was a section for about three juvenile wyverns. Another section showed off two adult wyverns in their prime. And the last area showed a wyvern whom was very old. All the wyverns were supervised and handled by one or more of Aria’s family members.
The wyverns used for a flight demonstration was piloted by Aria’s eldest brother Emmett and his children. Emmett was the first to spot Aria and Chewy as they made their way over to the ranch. He lightly tapped his black wyvern on the neck and it let out a roar of greeting. Aria looked up at him and waved. Chewy flapped her wings and gave two small bark like calls back. Emmit's wyvern Boris, was one of Chewy’s siblings. He was blackened version of your standard wyvern. He lacked all of Chewy’s unique features, such as her horns and flexible back scales. Except for the size. Boris matched Chewy’s large size from tip to tail. Boris’ greeting, lured out Aria’s parents, who met them at the gate.
After some hugs and explination Aria was given lodging. Aria and company wouldn't be sleeping in the manor. The main home had too many people in it already. They would be occupying one of the family barns for the night. Chewy was let out to roam and relax on the family property. The wyvern would join the festivities in the main city later. For now the brickish wyvern curled up in a quiet spot outside of the house and slept. Aria hitched a ride with one of the reoccurring wagoners and made her way into the city. She was excited. The rider had missed out on last year's festival, so she needed to make up for lost time.

Hal entered the city with one last look to Sol, the festivities had appeared to be more fun on this end of it. He had once worked as a helper setting up and breaking down everything for traveling performers but wasn't allowed to attend due to running odd jobs for them during the shows. He finally got to see the appeal to them, walking around he stopped in front of the fire eaters remembering the time Leslie tried to talk him into learning the trick of the trade and preform with her. It was also the first time he told a girl with a pretty smile no, the look on her face was priceless. As he wondered memories kept flooding his mind, while it wasn't exactly the best time of his life he did have fond memories of the people he traveled with before joining the Bernese army.
"Hal!? HAL!" A voice called out to him, a familiar one at that too. Turning to his right he saw Todd, another boy that Hal worked with during his time as a helper. Todd quickly closed the gap and hugged Hal. "It's been ages buddy. Look at you now, all speify looking in that armor. Army life treat you well?" Hal gave him a nervous smile before answering. "Well, about that... I ended up deserting and fled to Lycia. I spent some time and discovered what I want to do in life." Todd looked puzzled and asked what it was. "Oh man, you're going to just laugh but I'm working on becoming a 'hero for hire', helping those in need and doing what's right."
Todd let out a light chuckle. "Nah man, nah. You found a purpose, a goal in life that's good. I'm actually one of the promoters for one of these groups, say man if you ever feel the need to come back to the business I'll gladly put in a good for you. It's hard finding hard workers these days. Hey, I gotta run but it was good seeing ya again, hopefully before this is all over we can get a chance to catch up." Hal smiled and nodded "Yeah , sure I'd love that. Hopefully we run into each again soon." Todd gave Hal a light pat on the shoulder as he turned and ran off. Hal began to wonder in the crowd once again.

So many people crowded around Cora as she struggled to make her way through the herd. She wanted to walk with a bit of elegance through the streets, but with all the pushing and shoving going on, Cora gave up trying to show off and adapted to the aggressive demeanor. She pushed her way in between what seemed to be a family. They were literally walking the speed a fat pig that simply just wanted to be eaten rather walk anymore than five feet. They were all, "Oh what's that," and, "I want to do that!" Cora said screw it and just pushed right through the annoying brats and their ignorant parents. The parents were of course mad, but Cora continued moving without looking behind. Furthermore, as Cora came up the street, she noticed an activity that suited her just fine; a shooting range was set up in a lengthy and wide alley on the side of the main street. Many people had stopped to watch as two men shot arrows down towards the target. One man's arrow had landed in the third circle, yet the other man pierced his arrow straight into the center of the target. He turned back to the audience with a triumphant shout as they responded with some nonsense hollering.
Please, what a lucky shot. Cora shoved her way through the crowd and came up to the man running the shooting range. "How much to enter?" She asked with an uncaring tone while the man responded with a happy hoot, "Two gold coins my dear!" Cora reached down into a small pouch attached to her belt and removed two gold coins. She slammed them onto the table the man had next to him and strode towards the target to the right of the man that shot a bullseye. The owner called after her, "You need my bow and arrow though!" Cora grasped an arrow from her quiver and notched it into her Killer Bow, "I've got my own," she responded then released the arrow not a moment after her last word. The arrow flung through the arrow and quickly plunged into the center target. The crowd hollered, but Cora wasn't done. She needed to beat this man. She needed to prove that she was better. Thus, Cora twirled to her left while removing another arrow from her quiver. She stopped at an angle resting her body on the other competing archer and rested her head on his shoulder while whispering into his right ear, "I win." She looked briefly at her target, the target that the one archer shot an arrow into the third circle. The target was on the left of Mr. Bullseye's target. Cora swiftly sent her arrow flying, but her lack of focus due to her desire to show off, sent her arrow to the top of the innermost circle, still making it in, but barely. The crowd cheered louder that they did for Mr. Bullseye and he looked down at the woman resting on him. He gave a grin and a dumb wink. Cora gave off a slight "humph" and got off of him. She went over to the owner, who presented her with what he called was the grand prize, a wyvern-themed quilt. The yeoman accepted the quilt and began to walk away from the archery range.
"This quilt looks slightly ridiculous ... but I sort of like it." What Cora just did was ... fun. She enjoyed it. Maybe coming here wasn't too bad after all. Cora continued to walk forward on the main street, excited for what was next.

Little Julius wasn't accustom to sitting on Liam's shoulder, in fact he wasn't use to being carried either, normally he just walked behind Liam. Julius began to dig his tiny claws into Liam's shoulder, who almost didn't notice, to make sure he didn't fall as well as using his tail for balance.
The pair rarely went into a town, and when they did it was nowhere near as crowded as this one. Julius' head darted all over each time he heard something different. Then he spotted the other wyvern, he began to make a yapping sound wanting to go see them. He thought one of them was Chewy and wanted to go play but Liam ignored the young pup's whining noise and pressed on into the city.
There was a group of what appeared to be middle aged women, at least from what Liam could guess at, quickly approaching him squealing in delight St the sight of Julius riding Liam's shoulder. One of them reached up to pet Julius, who sniffer her finger before snapping at it. "You need to be more careful around wyvern if you haven't cleaned you hands after eating. They're not pets, they can take a finger or two off with one bite even at a young age." Liam scolded the lady. The woman gave him a dirty look that he paid no attention to as he looked around hoping to see Aria, he knew the chances of that was slim. He began to walk off as one of the ladies started to ask him a question, purposely ignoring her.

The lady rider made it into the city. She paid the wagonner a coin and hopped off the ride. The driver entertained her with some local news. Aria had been away from her home city for quite some time, so she appreciated the news. She stopped to look at the city. She took a deep breath and savored the moment. She marched through the city and pushed through the crowds to get to where she wanted to go. She found the jerky booth and paid for some jerky. Enough jerky to fill her snack satchel with some smoked jerky for Chewy and Julius. The next booth she ambushed was the dart game. There were several of these located around town and each had their own unique prizes. This one sported wooden and grass headbands in the shape of a wyverns head. She played a round and managed to win one of these head bands. She put it on and tied the straps under her chin.
She looked around and tried to find Liam. She figured it wouldn't be too hard. Liam was tall and she was certain that he had Julius on his head or shoulder. Julius was too small to wander around crowds this large. Aria started to wonder if it was a good idea to bring them here. She figured the fair would help lift their spirits. Fairs tended to lift everyone's spirits. Or maybe she just wanted to go home to feel better but she inconveniently dragged Liam and Julius with her. Perhaps.. I was too hasty. She shook her head. Maybe I'll ask him.
The sky haired rider put a hand over her brow to shield her eyes from the sun. She didn't see him on this particular side of the main street, so she walked down the street some more, till she came up onto another patch of street. She continued this pattern until she found man with the wyvern pup. She was also close to the booth that sold turkey drumsticks. These were limited in amount but she managed to snag one. She pushed through the last bit of crowds and approached the one eyed man.
“Hey Liam, finally found you. I come bringing food and slightly ridiculous head gear. You alright?” Aria was happy to be here but Liam looked like he wanted to punch someone in the throat.

The festivities began in earnest and, as a result, Eris was forced to extend her patrol. It's not like she minded having to leave her cozy little spot against that wall, that had been dreadfully dull, but she still wished she didn't have to be in the area. Her talents were wasted once again. When the hell would she be fighting? Getting stronger? Killing Ilians or bandits or anything? Guarding some idiotic festival was nothing to write home about. Nothing to take pride in. Granted serving her nation didn't exactly fill her with pride either, but at least she knew it was SUPPOSED to.
Eris mostly avoided the crowd, her eyes fixed on anyone suspicious. As much as she disliked the festival she would dislike anyone who tried to ruin it even more. What manner of scumbag did one have to be to try and take advantage of a festival? Thankfully it seemed as though most people were having a good time. Some, however, seemed just as grouchy as she did. A man with a baby wyvern on his shoulder seemed to scold a woman who nearly lost her finger attempting to pet the small scaled beast on his shoulder.
To her right there was a...strange looking woman, yet Eris couldn't exactly decide what about her she found strange. Hmph. She was at a sort of archery range, or whatever. At least this was a test of skill, the closest thing to showing off martial prowess one could really have at this stupid festival. Curious Eris decided to deviate off her patrol a bit, getting closer to the archer as she fired her shot. Her shot barely made it in, yet the crowd cheered. There was something...eerily familiar about the woman's behavior. It was like she had intended to show off and, even though she succeeded, she didn't exactly perform as she wished.
Ordinarily Eris would never be able to make such a quick judgement about another, but considering she herself acted in such a way often enough...ugh, yeah, it was best she walk away. She was still sore about her spar with her half-brother the other day. Last thing she needed was to wind up introspecting by accident. She wanted to look AWAY from herself right now, not deep into herself.
Instead Eris walked past a blue haired man who spoke to another young man. Eris didn't catch much about their conversation, only the word "deserted". Immediately her head whipped around and she turned to face the man, just as his conversation ended. Was he a Bernese soldier? Or did he desert a different army?
"Hey, you, blue boy." Eris didn't really know what else to call the man, but her curiosity was thoroughly piqued now. "What's that I heard about deserting?"

Hal had began to walk away when he heard a voice say "Hey, you, blue boy", he turned towards it with a puzzled look on his face. Was she talking to him? He didn't pay attention to the crowd around him and he did have blue hair. When she had mentioned the word 'deserting' he knew she was referring to him.
"I had joined the army in hopes of becoming a wyvern rider shortly before the civil war broke out." The girl had appeared to be a soldier, but he knew he shouldn't jump to conclusions because she was in armor, he was wearing armor as well. "After a few battles I couldn't take being forced to fight other Bernese people, and friends so I fled. It would have been the same on both sides of the battle so I left Bern."
Hal took a couple of step backwards, accidentally bumping into somebody, he apologized without taking his eyes off the girl. He had no clue who she was or why she stopped him and had no intentions of fighting her here. He would normally defend himself, but not here there were too many people and it was a time to celebrate not fight. "W-why do you ask?" Now it was noticeable that he was nervous, you could hear it in his voice. His eyes darted away from the girl, vthen back to her, and away again searching for anybody he could definitely tell was a guard in the event things went south.

Cora had begun to enjoy herself at this special festival. Her moment at the archery range was quite enjoyable. Just the ability to show her skill over a man was great. Cora was all for defeating men in almost anything. Cora grew up watching men like her father tower over women like her mother. On her travels to discover her father, she has seen this recurrence of man vs. woman. However, Cora had learned that not all men are unfathomable. She had met a swordsman that had a very ethical moral code. He was respectful and kind. What was his name? Darren? Don...? Duma! It was Duma. He showed her that life may not be so black and white. She now knows that she has to be more open. That's why this day has been enjoyable at least.
Cora had begun walking along the street again and then noticed something interesting. It seemed like a confrontation or just a simple altercation between a blue-haired male and a strawberry-orange haired young lady. Whatever it was, Cora knew drama was around and Cora was deeply interested. She repositioned the way she was holding her bow and begun walking forward towards the two. Cora knew that she didn't really need to get involved, but anything could happen. The yeoman wanted to support the young lady though.
As Cora got closer, she noticed that it didn't seem like much of an argument. The young lady seemed calm and collected, while the blue-haired man seemed a little on edge. Interesting to say the least. To be honest, the blue-haired man seemed slightly familiar. Do I know this guy from the army? When I was in the Bernese army? Maybe the Ilian/Sacaen joint army that defeated Bern in 1288 AS for the Bern's War of Aggression? Cora was thinking in her head a little too much that she didn't realize that she was just about next to the interesting duo. "Oh! Well sorry for the intrusion, but I just wanted to make sure everything was all right. Also," Cora turned to the blue haired man as she placed other hands on the top of her bow and bent her right knee, leaning her weight her left side, "Were you involved in Hargus's Bandit War or the Bern War of Aggression?"

Liam took the turkey drumstick as he let out a light chuckle at the headband. "Thanks." He lifted it to his mouth tearing a chunk out with his teeth as he let the juices run down his face. He used his other hand to rip a small piece off and held it up for Julius. "Not bad." Julius didn't bother sniffing it, he knew it was meat and gobbled it up. "So what is there 'fun' to do here?"
He raised the turkey leg back up to take a bite as he looked around, then something caught his eye in the crowd. He stood there, mouth wide open with the turkey leg inches away with his eye open almost as wide as his mouth staring in disbelief. There stood a boy with blue hair with a shield on his back. "I know that shield." Liam mumbled to himself.
Liam had been an emotional wreck since the cyclops attack, he has been staying in some cave for a few weeks disregarding the "rules" of dragon and human interaction by raiding their live stock when he needed to feed. The only time he "enjoyed" himself when he could take his anger out when the humans sent somebody to slay him, until that fateful day. He almost was caught off guard by the lone warrior they sent, if he didn't have heavy steps he would have never noticed him. The two fought for a moment and before Liam killed him he noticed it was his adopted son, Julius. Releasing the grip on Julius' throat, the young man tackled Liam and began to pumble him, Liam allowing him to while Julius blamed him for Julie's death.
The conversation the two had reinstated Liam's will to live so he took his son's advice. Years had past since they spoke, by time Liam had saw Julius, he had made a name for himself as a mercenary and started a family of his own. He had pulled out a shield to show Liam, Julius was excited about it. It had three points on the top and one on the bottom, on the side it had what looked like wings. The design on the front was two dragons with their heads pressed against each other, one black and the other pink. "This is my family crest now, it's you and Mom."
Those memories came flooding back into his mind upon seeing the shield again. He kept am eye on Julius' family after he passed from a distance, even a hundred or so years after the Scouring ended. He slowly lowered his hand as he took a few steps towards the boy. "That's Julius' shield." This time speaking louder.

Aria handed the meaty drumstick over to Liam. The meaty substance seemed to satisfy the one eyed man’s taste. Julius had no problems with the pieces of meat as he gobbled it up instantly. Aria tilted her head a bit at Liam's question about finding the fun. The rider looked at him as if he had three heads. The fun, supposedly is all around them. The fun was supposed to be found within the games and events. Even if these events weren't particularly fun by his standards the goal of the mission was to forget about troubles for a while.
“Have you ever been to a festival?” She asked and crossed her arms.
“The fun.. well it's supposed to be all around you. A game of chance, darts, speed eating. Uhm.. if that's not your fancy you can watch people fly into one another in the air duels.” As she spoke she counted all the ways one could have fun at the fair. The rider passed by an alley full of mirrors that distorted ones reflection. Perhaps that could be considered fun. Aria sighed softly. It was as she feared Liam wasn't having a good time. Or maybe Julius was holding Liam back from the full fair experience.
“I'm.. sorry you aren't enjoying this.” She looked a little hurt. She shook her head lightly then returned her gaze back at Liam.
“But, as a consolation I have arranged for us to stay at my folks for the night. You can rest assured that we can sleep indoors and be given a good breakfast in the morning.” Aria tried to hide her smile. She missed her mom's home cooking. Especially the biscuits.
“There are a lot of us er.. us being mostly my family..staying at the ranch. The ranch is huge. It's got big open areas.. so if all this… these.. people in a kinda confined space bother you. At least it will be quieter over there. And..” It was at this moment the rider notice that Liam wasn't paying attention. He seemed to be fixated on someone or something offing the distance. Aria couldn't make out Liam's first set of mumblings. What's he staring at?The rider squinted slightly to figure out what exactly it was he was looking at. From her point of view she could make out a blue haired young man, a orange haired woman, and a woman who looked like she belonged with a troupe.
“That's Julius Shield.” Aria heard Liam that time. She looked at the wyvern pup atop his head. Julius Shield? Before she could ask him what he meant. Liam had already taken steps towards the young man. Aria followed him.
