Name:Aura (Formerly Eustice Cardinal)
Class:Priest
Age:23
Born in:Etruria
Appearance:Aura has White hair and red eyes. His skin is noticeably pale and he has a general look of frailty about him. His demeanor tends to rest somewhere between lost and pleading. His hair is a shaggy mess half the time due to his lack of personal care.
He's surprisingly short only 5'7 but his lean body would make you think he'd be otherwise.
He wears a cotton shirt with a vest and simple trousers. He doesn't keep any standout colors or trinkets on him, but he does have a great deal of runes carved into his back detailing a number of spells from all branches of magic.
Formerly he had golden blond hair and blue eyes with a clever expression full of confidence like he knew something no one else did.
Personality:Aura is a naive and often too trusting person. He has a good heart but his trusting nature leads him to be easily manipulated by others. He is also quite gentle treating others and animals with kindness and a good word.
He is rather unsure of himself and often quite troubled by things around him, though he will rarely voice it. His greatest desire is just to live a normal life but fate does not seem to feel the same way.
Due to recent events in his life he is a sort of blank slate with no clear personality, rather he is redeveloping himself from nothing.
Formerly he was a man who had the appearance of a kind and scholarly gentleman. He had the talent to heal and cure the most grievous of injuries but he also harbored the cruelest nature. He hid malice behind his station in the church and an unwavering smile.
Story:Aura's life is a short one. He awoke on a table to see a young girl gently helping him to stand and a floor littered in corpses of apparent cultists, but he recalled nothing of how he got there. He was rescued it seemed.
He was taken in by the church members that were not traitors and brought back on his feet. None could tell him who he really was and would speak about him in whispers. It was enough to make him not want to know what he had done before. He slowly began to recover himself and took to the healing arts quite well. To the astonishment of many he never needed a staff having seemed to have memorized the method and structure of the magic. A faint memory of his life before perhaps? People seemed to know him but would never say anything and so he had to find a new name, only one word would seem to come to him from memory and it was Aura.
Formerly the man known as Eustice was a man of the cloth. He was born in a small village and when he was of age he joined the clergy. He was a natural and rather gifted with a curious mind and intense devotion. It was not long before he began to delve into all the aspects of magic.
When word spread of the revival of Hargus it was a claim he could not ignore. For all the talk of Elimine and her prophet if this was true then surely it was a true miracle and he had to see it for himself.
Everything changed when he went to the Battle for the City of Heroes. He saw Hargus and was breathless, he saw monsters of shadow and new life. It was awe inspiring and terrible. But before the end his new god fell before foul men.
Upon returning home having survived he became obsessed with Hargus and the dark 'gods' as he thought of them. He began to study dark magic and spoke in whispers of his new ideals converting others to his beliefs.
He carved a summary of all his findings into his back and chose to set himself for the centerpiece of a ritual, or project Aura as he called it. He had his disciples 'bathe' him in dark magic many times until he was changed. Turning his hair white and his eyes red, likely drastically shortening his life.
His belief was that if he could offer himself as a conduit to the dark he could be a gateway to bring Hargus back once again, or possibly one of the dark gods. Things did not work out as planned.
When an inquisitor came to the church he was forced to move the timetable up but this came at a great cost to himself. Not only did his ambitions fail but his mind was broken leaving him not knowing who he was.
