Emil had grown to like Lycia a bit, sure it wasn't as lax as the Ilse were when it came to laws but it was definitely better than Eturira. Emil had one goal in life at this exact moment; it was to hit up every pub he can stumble upon in Lycia. One would think he was at war with his liver, but that was beside the point.
Tonight's adventure had brought the landlocked ex-pirate to a small town in Santaruz. Entering the pub in just a green shirt, pants, and shoes was a nice change of pace. Back on the Ilse if he didn't come prepared for a fight it could have been his last visit. Looking around this pub had seemed to be lively, full of burly men and lovely looking bar wenches. If Emil played his cards right this could be a wonderful night.
Making his was to the bar he sat down slamming his hand on the bar calling over the bar wench. "Bring me an ale, and make sure they keep coming", he slid a few coins in her direction as she brought his first mug. Taking a deep breath he picked up the mug and began to chug the ale, some of it running down the side of his face onto his short. Finishing it one drink he slammed the mug onto the ground. "Aaaaaaahhhhh. Anotha." Throwing the mug onto the ground had caused a few people to stop what they were doing and stare at Emil. "What are ya soon? Bring me anotha."

The taverns of the outside world were coming to learn that a certain massive Ilian man could drink every last man, woman, and child under the table. It was part of his size, and part of the culture of his people. Bitter ale was the first thing one would drink when they were weened off milk. Less of Perun's fluid was blood, there was far more alcohol running through him. In a small town in Santaruz, at the largest tavern on offer, Perun did not disappoint his ancestors. Traveling was the only time between jobs for Donovan's counter offensive that Perun could do anything that resembled relaxing. With his ox off in the stable, Perun hoped to get drunk enough that he could hardly stand.
He wasn't quite there yet. After half a bottle of vodka and six pints of mead, Perun could still stand fine, and his head only felt lighter. Of course he was drinking it all incredibly fast, and it could catch up to him at any time. He was never trying to hard to run away from the flighty feeling of boozing. The sight of the big man drinking was a spectacle, and he sat at a table surrounded by four farmers, all cheering him to keep drinking.
And so he did, the giant's grin shone through his beard any time he didn't press a mug to his lips. He lifted his seventh pint to his lips, and as he did, the men began a chant while ramming their hands on the table in a ryhtym. "Weeeeeeee, like to drink with Perun, cuz Perun is our mate, and when we drink with Perun, he drinks it down in eight, seven, six, five, fo-" Perun slammed his mug down on the table. They hadn't reached one since he started drinking. Perun threw his head back and let out a roar of a laugh.

Emil could hear a table surrounded by a group of people watching a large, a very large man chugging away while he felt a large palm placed upon his shoulder. "I don't know where you're from, but that ain't no custom in these parts." Emil brushed the man's hand off of his shoulder. "Winch, make it the strongest ale ya got. Actually bring two of them, one for my new buddy here." As the woman brought over the drinks she began to lean over the counter to inspect the damage Emil had done to the cup, it had been ruined and a soul look overtook her fair face. "Aye, don't worry bout it. Just a mug that can be replaced. I'll throw in an extra coin or two." So far these landlocked taverns weren't as fun, but hey there was still booze.
Grasping his new mug he used his other hand to slide the other to the man to his right. "Drink up, last one to finish their drink buys the next round." The man waved his hand in Emil's direction as he turned and shuffled back to his spot with his buddies. Such a spoil sport, but that just means Emil has his next drink ready. Lifting the mug to his lips he began to sip it before downing the rest in seconds, this one was thicker than the last but surprisingly smooth. Grabbing the second mug Emil spun around to get a better view of the tavern, to see if there would be anybody worth challenging to a drinking contest. He witnessed the massive man pounding away his drinks, Emil was too sober to keep up with his speed when it came to drinking. He also took notice of the man from a moment ago and his buddy giving him a dirty look, maybe he would give them a visit in a little bit but he had some more drinking to do.

When the next pint was placed in front of the giant, he began to lift it to his lips, but stopped when one of his farmer friends stopped him. He placed five copper pieces down and said, "Yer a big fella, you think you can out drink the four of us?" The giant raised his eyebrow, but then split his face in a wily grin and said, "Dah." He nodded, and through the language barrier they understood the message. The other men all put down five coppers, and Perun fished out five coins that looked the same as the ones the little men had thrown in. His coin purse was thicker than usual, but that was only because his silver tongued companion was not with him. When the duo traveled together, the slimmer man held all their coin, simply because Perun didn't really understand it. He'd often simply take out what he had and ask how much someone wanted for something, and according to Donovan they always took too much.
As soon as all the coin was on the table, the farmer shook his head. "Five fer each of us mate." Perun's brow furrowed, but he pulled out three sets of five coins, setting them on the table one at a time. Then the farmer smiled, and called for three more pints to be set before Perun. Quickly they were brought for him, and the man continued, "If you can drink all that, before we can finish a pint one by one, you win, if ya can't, we get all the coin." Perun's eyebrows remained close, but his eyes shifted to a quizzical look. The man hesitated for a moment, then said, "I'll drink, then him, then him, then him." He pointed to his friends one at a time.
The crooked grin was once more plastered across the giant's face. "Ahhhhhh, Perun iz being understand now. Yes, let us be drinking now." The farmer smiled, and one of the other men said, "GO!" Perun and the other man lifted their drinks as quick as the could, and began drinking. Perun set his drink down, and lifted the other. Then the next. He slammed the fourth mug down with a smile, just as the third man was lifting his off the table. Instead of being angry, his drinking companions laughed and called for another pint for the massive man, the farmer who'd challenged him pushing the coins over towards him. Perun laughed as he scooped them into his pouch.

Emil rose from his bar stool and migrated to an empty table, pulled out a chair and sat. Lifting one leg up his boot landed on the table with this, waiting for the pair to look in his direction he raised the other leg and crossed his legs with both feet firmly resting upon the table. He did so with a smirk plastered across his face, hoping to get a reaction from them.
Nothing, there was no reaction other than them shaking their heads and returning to their conversation. Taking a swig from the mug he began to become annoyed with the man. Who was he to tell Emil "proper" bar educate, which was where Emil's from for the record, but then to refuse a peace offering? He might as well spit in Emil's face AND his drink. He's whooped whole sale ass for less, wait was Emil getting soft?
Whatever the case was, this wasn't the place to be brooding. This establishment was for drinking, fun, and more drinking not being upset. One last swig of his drink and he finished it, setting the mug on the table in front of him he got back on his feet and made his way to the bar.
"A pint of rum, another one of the last drinks I had, and one of the cheapest crap you have." Emil dug into his pocket and pulled out a fist full of coins setting them on the counter, based on what he's been paying so far and what he set down he knew he was over paying by a bit "Keep the change." Grabbing the rum he started to drink and didn't stop till it was all gone. Based on the burn it wasn't half bad actually, grabbing the two drinks he started to drink his as he made his way to his new "buddy's" spot.
He stood there for a moment to finish off his drink when the tingling sensation hit him, looks like the alcohol was catching up to him finally. "Since you refused the drink I offered maybe ya friend would like to take it." Emil set down the empty mug as he poured the ale all over the man's head. "This is for them dirty looks." Emil reached back with his empty hand as he balled his fist and decked the guy.

Before Perun finished the next pint, he lifted his bottle of vodka to his lips. It was trash, as nearly all of the stuff was. That made in Ilia was good, though it was nowhere near the quality of that in his valley. Still, Vodka was familiar to him, so he could drink it as quickly as a man in the desert downed water. He finished the second half of the bottle, and then lifted his pint to his lips. He only drank about half before a hiccup interrupted him, and a small portion of the mixture sloshed up, and wet his beard and mustache around the mouth. He set his pint down, and brought his meaty hairy forearm to wipe his mouth clean. Then he lifted the pint back to his mouth, and finished it in another gulp.
Suddenly, he was feeling it. His head spun with the speed of a racing elk. In truth, he had not had this much drink in some time, and now he felt like he was a boy again, drinking stolen ale with his older brother and cousins. His hands were losing their dexterity, and his vision was slipping, losing its sharpness. His bombastic voice only got louder as he called for another ale.
A woman came by and sat another before a man who was quickly becoming one of the taverns finest patrons with a kind smile, and Perun responded, producing six coppers from his pouch for her. He could afford it. However, soon his attention, and all at his table was pulled to what looked like a fight waiting to break out. A man poured his drink onto another's head.

The man's friend quickly stood up looking at Emil, to the former pirate it had appeared as if he was squaring up with him. The lad had some stones, Emil quickly brought both of his fist in front of his face as he had a light bounce between his feet. "Ya wanna go too? Let's do this." Swaying a little before throwing a quick jab Emil had missed his target as the man backed up, moving to the side. The man clearly didn't want to fight Emil, heck anybody for that matter. He was trying to create some distance when he stepped forward and stuck his arms out pushing Emil who was caught off balance as he felt somebody's hand grab his leg and pull causing Emil to crash onto the floor.
Apparently there were a few others that took a liking to Emil's idea and a couple other men started to swing at somebody they tolerated just enough to try to have a peaceful night at the bar with, none of them had stepped up to Emil or the men he was beefing with. Two of the men who were one step away from a slap fest with each other began to wrestling around, trying to grab the other's hands so they couldn't hit them bumped into the table where the man they could only describe as a half man half bear was sitting.
Emil was trying to pull his leg free from the man's grip for a moment before he did and smashed his foot into his face. Looking up he saw the man who pushed him standing over him, hands raised up above his head. It took Emil longer than it should have to notice he was holding a chair. He curled the top half of body with his arms protecting his head moments before the chair came crashing down upon him.

The massive man let out another laugh despite the brewing fight. His laugh rang across every corner of the tavern, before Perun had another drink his new friend Paul slid him. It was while the froth hit his beard and lips that the men brawling crashed into the table, spilling the few tankards that still held drinks on the men who'd set them down. Paul and another fellow rose angrily, shouting curses, before a stocky fellow who must have been one of their friends appeared and slammed his fist into Paul's stomach. The young farmer crashed to the ground, and didn't seem to be moving much.
Perun rose, his massive legs sliding the table a few inches further as they pushed against it. His eyebrows knit together as he hurried towards the man who'd sent his friend crashing to the tavern floor. The stocky man now held the other farmer up by his collar, but before he could manage a blow to the man's body, Perun grabbed his shoulder, and sloppily spun him to face the giant.
As he came to see Perun, his eyes widened. They were quickly shut by the pain, as the Giant didn't remember to hold back when his fist rammed his nose. A thick trail of blood dropped from his nose as he toppled to the floor across from Paul, and two men at another table got up and ran towards Perun. As a fist hit his stomach Perun lost a second of breath before he grappled the man's arm and shoulder and slung him for a wall. As more and more men seemed to be choosing sides in a coming brawl, Perun threw his head back, and let out his loudest laugh yet.

Emil moaned out in pain as the chair came crashing down on him, the man lifted the chair up again to hit Emil. It was almost an instant reaction for Emil at this point when his foot launched upwards, his heel digging into the man's midsection. Emil wasn't sure if it was the alcohol that caused him to hear it, but he could swear he heard the man say 'mommy' as he let of the chair grabbing at his groin as he fell to the floor.
Emil rolled to his side, slowly getting up. He was on all fours as somebody started to kick him in the ribs, after a few kicks he latched onto the person's leg before sinking his teeth in. He heard a high pitched scream, he almost laughed thinking it was a man until he let go and looked up. That wench had tried to get a few hits on him while he was down, that was low to kick a man when he was down like that. She got what she deserved. He was able to get to his feet without being attacked while the woman inspected the bite mark.
"I aint got anythin against hittin a wo-" The lady had slapped Emil as hard as she could which shocked him a bit to be honest, he didn't think she had it in her to strike him again. Just as quickly he returned a slap to her face, before either two could do anything another set of men stepped up to Emil. "She had it coming to her fellas." He raised his hands in the air before the one on the left sucker punched him, Emil spun and landed on the bar, half way hanging off. He felt his legs being lifted up onto the bar as both sets of hands grabbed his clothes dragging him across the bar smashing into any mugs before they reached the end, throwing him to the ground.
