Nayru wasn't necessarily the most perceptive of dragons, certainly nothing like the truly wise ones, like Erim, who could seemingly read a person's mind just based on minor cues, but she had still picked up a decent bit of how to read and understand the actions of others simply through blind practice. Not exactly a perfect understanding, but she could usually get a pretty good take on someone, at least the general vibe they presented, and make a pretty solid gut judgement on if they were a monster or a man, a hero or a villain, so to speak.
But Kenshin was all... wrapped around an invisible core, a bundle of emotion and distrust and jackassery and sometimes nobility that was very rare among humans. She could list the people who had acted similarly on one or two hands, and she had met A LOT of people, warriors included, though admittedly she hadn't really been seeking out warriors much at all until recently. He didn't give a crap about Elibe - but would give everything for Sacae. He didn't care for those outside Sacae - but didn't want to hurt them unnecessarily - but he was always ready to kill. It seemed contradictory, hypocritical - but Nayru of all people knew that morality was a construct heavily shaped by its surroundings as well as the unique story of each person. So rather than just assuming that Kenshin was full of crap, she recognized that his beliefs were built around SOMETHING; she just didn't have the key to unlock and understand it.
"...I don't get you, Kenshin," she said after a moment of contemplation, pulling the legendary Nayru maneuver, in which she was so blunt and tactless that it either confused people into answering, or pissed them off. The track record wasn't perfect to say the least. "If you don't care about anyone or anything outside of Sacae, what do you give a crap about some mouthy Nabatan?" She wasn't angry or attacking him, but there was definitely a lack of subtlety as Nayru stated exactly what she thought. Though what he said was similar to something Veigue had told her about his own style... maybe it was just a swordsman thing. But she WANTED to understand. It didn't make sense and that just bothered her. "Though what you said sounds a lot like what a friend of mine once told me... and we all have blood on our hands, I guess we just deal with it differently."
The dragon wasn't honestly sure if it was as simple as that, and she suspected Kenshin might have something to say about her more simplistic views, but it wasn't like she was going to try to argue her emotions against his. Nothing against him, she just wasn't going to go around casually telling people just how fucked up she was. So rather than push the discussion, she'd leave it there for Kenshin to handle however he wanted, and answer his other question... which was a little more pointed, even if he hadn't meant for it to be. But that didn't mean she couldn't respond at all, Nayru was a crap liar but she had at least learned how to hide in half-truths decently well, so she wouldn't be too much of a stammering wreck trying to answer the question. "I lived pretty far out in the Wastes, deep in the desert. Smallish town. Left to see the world a while back, never went back."
It was all true too, just missing a few... key... details. Arcadia was far from human civilization. It WAS a relatively small town compared to a human city. She did leave to see the world... among other things. And it had certainly been a while back, but her and Kenshin's different views on time made those innocent words have two very different meanings. And without revealing anything too important about her, and Kenshin's seeming to relax a little bit, Nayru tried to relax a bit herself too, easing up a little on the flow of power as she decided that he... probably... wasn't going to attack her right now. Had been a little uncertain there, so she'd kept the circuits active so to speak, but now she was in more stand down mode with a smaller trickle going on.

"You don't get me?" Admittedly he had figured that almost nobody would get him. He's been painted as some kind of saint when deep down he knew that wasn't the case. There were times he had wanted to tell others how toxic his mindset is for the human race through out his history but couldn't. Even though he had attempted to a couple of times, those who he told almost ignored his words.
The difference was this Nabatan and those who sought him out because of his fame was she had tried to warn him of some sort of danger that once plague his lands. "Back when the Bandit King rose to power and enacted his war upon Elibe he wasn't stopped by a single nation, but a group of people. The most support we ever had was those understanding the true nature of what was going on, and even then Bern had lent us aid with their home was lost to the bandits and a single dragon. Bern had quickly recovered from their losses and waged war against Lycia, quickly moving to Sacae. Sacaens do not mettle in the affairs of other tribes, if two of them have conflict that's their business, which held true when Bern moved into our home.
"Our people were too far apart, unable to provide each other support like they should have. That's when I turned to Ilia who didn't want anything to do with the war since it wasn't in their home yet. It took what felt like a brutal argument to get them to agree, which ended with them gaining the spoils of war, Bern itself." Kenshin had stopped talking for a moment upon feeling a gentle breeze across his face, he was unsure if it was actually the wind or Amanojaku trying to feed his bullshit into his ear again. That wasn't the case this time.
"Despite the fame I earned in my home land, I could go to Ilia, Bern, Lycia, or even Etruria and the way I'm treated the same. As some savage, a subhuman piece of garbage. Even if they know who I am it doesn't change the fact I'm a Sacaen." Just the simple thought would have been enough to cause a visible reaction to the swordsman, but given the fact he's been trying to appear to be friendly towards the woman despite his previous tension. Closing his eyes for a moment to breath, and think he waited a second before speaking again.
"I think who is now an old friend had called me and my allies somewhere near the middle of Nebata against our will. Looking back at it many years later I guess it was for the best." He opened his eyes, looking at the sky for a moment before looking Nayru in the eyes.

The dragoness couldn't help but stand there and listen as Kenshin spoke, feeling progressively more and more like an idiotic child as he continued. She knew most of this stuff individually of course. There was hardly a child alive who hadn't heard tales of the Bandit King's predations, and on an objective note she also knew of Sacae's notorious lack of togetherness as compared to say, Etruria or Bern. Bern before the rebellion, anyways. And of course Nayru knew OF the racism that Sacaens faced across Elibe, though she had never understood it or taken part in it. At first they had "just" been humans to her, and then as she had spent time there she had been somewhat influenced by them, more than most other areas in Bern... not to the point that she considered herself a Sacaen dragon, by any means. She was still Nabatan at heart. But in terms of how she acted and spoke, there was definitely more Sacae in there than there was Bern or Etruria or Lycia or Ilia. The words she'd uttered before essentially committing suicide to save Veigue and Hayle no less.
But she had never... really... thought that much about racism against Sacaens. It had been a passing triviality she hadn't thought that much of, nor had she really thought a great deal about how it would affect them. And as Kenshin spoke it hit home just how deep it truly ran, that even someone that Sacae, and to some degree the rest of Elibe, considered a hero... he was still seen as just a monster in the end.
That sounded pretty familiar.
As she bit her lip trying to think of how the HELL to respond to something like that, in that moment Nayru felt a stronger connection to Kenshin than he would probably ever know - she couldn't tell him the true reason, for obvious reasons. But it was the struggle she had always endured on her own. The truth that no matter how many people she helped, much of a towering hero she became... if it ever became known that she was a dragon, and especially one as destructive as she was, Elibe would likely unite against her in very short order. It didn't matter who she was as a person or what deeds she did, only that because of how she had been born, she would never be human, never be treated as human... simply as another monster, the same as the gargoyles and chimera she had slain in Bern to protect humanity.
"...I'm sorry." Her words were hesitant, but emotional; not casually thrown out as a simple bypass of the conversation but a husky admission of the depth of her feelings. It took a moment to compose her own thoughts before Nayru could continue, swallowing her pride, and her voice was devoid of the effortless confidence she had spoken with so far. "It should have been obvious to me of all people, but I did not think before speaking." The dragon couldn't help but think of a little girl, centuries ago, who had wanted nothing more than to be a hero. A paragon to the people, one who defended humanity and dragons alike from dark forces... and how harshly that dream had been trod upon and strewn to the four corners of the earth by the face of reality.
But there was nothing she could do for him. Giving Kenshin a hug would, uh, probably not go over well at all, and even if it did it wouldn't change reality. She couldn't explain how she felt him. And pretty much any further sympathy would sound false or as though she felt so bad for the poor widdle sacaens - and while Nayru didn't know EVERYTHING about them, she did know that they tended to be, uh, a proud group so to speak. Something else they had in common with dragons. So while a part of her certainly wanted to open up and have a heart to heart, Nayru knew it would never work. She had to move on to the rest of the conversation.
And Kenshin had certainly said something interesting there, too. The middle of Nabata. And to anyone who knew much of the area... the middle of Nabata was a forbidden zone for a reason. Not because of some kind of emperor who said not to go there. Not because of some imaginary border. But because it was the hardest, most dangerous area in all of Nabata, and truly nothing of value rested there; it was a blasted wasteland, prone to the greatest sandstorms the desert had ever seen, deadly creatures and unbearable heat that even the rest of Nabata recoiled from, and hardly even ruins to be found there. Truly it was the most worthless, cruel, and hateful place in all of Elibe, with no reason to ever go there.
Except Arcadia.
"There's not much in that stretch of desert," Nayru said carefully, her face straight. It was... difficult to ascertain if Kenshin was referring to the legendary city or simply something else; Nayru didn't know about any teleportation powers Athos might have or exactly what he had been doing in Elibe so she certainly wasn't working with full information to calculate the true answer. How much could she volunteer to see what the reaction was, without giving too much away? While she had nothing against Kenshin personally, talking about Arcadia wasn't a subject she was comfortable with, even in jest, or she might have made a false joke about it. "Though interestingly enough, my destination is somewhere in the deeper Wastes as well."

Kenshin had met those who truly felt upset about the treatment that Saracens received from the rest of Elibe after hearing how it was from somebody from Sacae, as well as others who faked a response. Based on his experience he could tell Nayru was one of those who truly understood the racism as well as meant their response. "I cannot hold it against you, nor blame you for that. Even though you're from Nebata you probably didn't witness it from either side, there are many people from Elibe that doesn't understand it as well."
Even though the two didn't start off on the right foot in Kenshin's mind due him misreading her after mentioning being possessed by the Arum blade the conversation had felt like it was going in a positive direction for both of the people. She was learning the mind set of a Sacaen that was hell bent on protecting his home land, he was learning there are those out there looking out for the well being of all of Elibe regardless of the country. The other aspect of the conversation the two both had been dancing around the subject of Nabata, he wasn't sure about her aspect but he knew his was about a city where a true legend had been living and protecting.
Based on what this woman had said, it did seem like she was mentioning a city some what like Arcadia, the only time he actually saw signs of life was when he was closer to the border to Lycia. It made perfect sense that she knew the layout of the desert seeing how she lived there for some time where Kenshin had seen one 'major' city then left. "Outside of the boarder towns, the one I was in had some large buildings as well as some smaller ones. Through out my travels across Elibe I can say most of those buildings were far different than everywhere else. It was a surprise to see anything of it's sort in a land I once thought to lack human life in it's location."

Kenshin's understanding was appreciated certainly, but Nayru still felt bad about what she had said. It HAD been stupid and insensitive - because of what Kenshin didn't know, hat she had experienced racism all of her life too, but unlike him she had been somewhat protected from it. No one had hated HER the dragon. They just hated dragons, and she happened to be one. But for Kenshin, for Sacaens, there was no such divide. Those smaller minded in Elibe hated THEM personally, as examples of the 'dirty' Sacaen mongrels. It was such a ridiculous, baseless kind of bigotry... but she couldn't explain that to Kenshin. Not the full truth. It wouldn't create any kind of understanding, just cause him to attack her most likely, a battle that neither would win. It didn't matter who won the actual fight, Sacae and Elibe would lose regardless.
So the dragoness held her tongue despite the unease written on her face, an act made easier as Kenshin segued into the other topic of conversation. Subjects that were, er, a LOT deeper than she had expected. The problem was that he spoke a lot like he had actually been to Arcadia. Seen it, rather than just heard of it. Arcadia's infrastructure was very strange compared to the rest of Elibe, and his description of its architecture was vague enough that it COULD be speaking of something else. But... he wasn't, was he? That was why he was so evasive about the details. That was why he had acted so suspiciously when bringing it up. Nayru had no way of making the Athos connection - she hadn't seen him in centuries and had little idea of what he had done in the meantime - but the possibilities were staring her in the face regardless. She didn't have to know HOW Kenshin got there to accept it as a possible fact. The facts all fit the description, especially his mention of how it was located far away from all life.
Rather than fixing itself, Nayru's unease had grown as she thought, completely uncertain how to handle the situation. If... if Kenshin had actually been to Arcadia, that meant that someone there had trusted the Sacaen enough to allow him into their confidence - that IF, somehow, she were to reveal that she knew of it too, she wouldn't be breaking the unspoken oath that all Arcadians held, especially those that left it. The sacred trust that they would not reveal it to the unworthy, do all that they could to safeguard the secret as well as possible. It wasn't a flawless system of course, bound by all too human weakness of character, but few left and even fewer came back.
But if he DID know of Arcadia, if he had been accepted into it, then he might have information on its current state, information she could use. And in return, it was possible she might be able to help him. If he truly wanted to protect Sacae, if he was strong enough to actually do so, then it stood to reason that as someone who cared for Elibe, including Sacae, she ought to try to support him as she could. She bit her lip, as if the momentary pain would somehow bring clarity to the situation. Nayru still wasn't sure if that was the CORRECT path for her, and she was no hero, but she couldn't... no, -wouldn't- walk away from it entirely. The temptation was there. It wouldn't even be hard, just make some bullshit excuse and walk away; she'd never see Kenshin again, her cover would be safe, no harm no foul.
"...You're describing Arcadian architecture, aren't you?"
Her mouth was going to get her killed some day, Nayru was pretty sure on that one; she certainly wasn't blind to her own failings. But... maybe for once in her life, she didn't think she had made a mistake in speaking up. Oh, she probably could have worded it better. But for once, she was going to try to... put a bare minimum of trust in someone without having it be dragged out of her, like Elly and Veigue and Hayle and Remus had done. Not that she resented them for it, it was only a statement of fact that she wasn't very good at trusting others. But that was never going to change unless she changed it.
Or if Kenshin just straight f**k**g murdered her. That would also be a solution, she supposed.

Arcadia, a town that had became a refugee to dragons and humans alike during the Scouring, a safe haven for both races. A place for the two races to call home that did not wish for the war between them, then eventually protected by one who had slaughtered the dragons in the war. Why Kenshin didn't know the exact story behind the city, that was the only logical explanation he was able to come up with, not that it mattered to him personally.
The fact she had mentioned the city meant one of three things; Nayru was a human from the city, a dragon from the city, or had been called there by Athos himself. The fact she was from Nabata explained why she had seemed to be ignorant of the racism towards Sacaens, but one of those options had kept coming back to his mind. What if this woman was a dragon? He had met a couple of them that completely hid the fact they were a dragon and appeared human, he did also assume the one he saw in Bern had done the same.
The difference between this woman, if she was a dragon, and the others he had met was she seems to come from Arcadia. The swordsman didn't know anything about dragons other than some had hated humans, but if she was born there that hatred wouldn't be ingrained in her like the others. IF by the rare chance she was a dragon, Kenshin couldn't instantly distrust her. Even if she had been exiled due to the fact she didn't share the same ideals as those living there, she had more than enough chances to attack him.
Still he wasn't sure if she had been born there of some how visited, he wasn't just going to spill the beans about the guest of honor there. "Yes, yes I am. I was summoned there during the bandit wars. The person who called me there had informed my group what had just happened and how dangerous the situation was."

Well, he didn't turn into a firebreathing hell demon or try to cut her head off, that was a good sign. Her shoulders fell a little in relaxation as the dragoness breathed out, grateful that had gone much better than she had feared, Kenshin had seemed pretty on edge earlier, so she definitely appreciated that he answered her question straight on. WHY he had done so was a question all its own, but for the time being she wouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth; they could argue about all that stuff later. For now, she was just happy to have something to work with, instead of all this beating around the bush bullshit.
"Well, that explains a lot. Born and raised there myself, when you started talking about the deep desert I had a feeling." It was possible he was just lying, of course. Not that Nayru didn't trust him, but it was one of those things where she preferred to trust but verify, so to speak. There was only one human she trusted enough to bring to Arcadia herself, but apparently Athos had trusted this guy enough to do it himself as well. She smiled lopsidedly. "Must've been Athos, right? I can't think of anyone else there who would risk that... most don't even care about Elibe enough to consider the idea."
Nayru's... dissatisfaction with the positions of most of Arcadia's denizens was not her finest feature, but it was nowhere near hate - just frustration that those living there had so long ago given up on Elibe. Arcadia wasn't perfect, sure, but it was a blueprint for what all of Elibe could become in time. She had always dreamed of seeing more of them spring up elsewhere. It just took trust. "For... what it's worth, thank you for keeping that secret. It's not perfect, but..." She shrugged. How else could she dress it? "It's home. The people there just want to live."

Nayru had admitted to being born in Arcadia, which did explain a lot. She went as far as to mention Athos, he figured it made sense seeing how she was born there to know of him. The more the two had talked, the less mysterious she had become. A Nabatan from the unknown city of legends Arcadia, it figured that if anybody had any sort of information about the 'Arum' it would be Athos and possibly those from Arcadia.
"It was shortly after Hargus had used his dark magic to revive the heroes of the Scouring when Athos had used his magic to pull me and the people I've been fighting along side to his lair. While we took time to digest what we had just learned I had strolled through the city, for somebody from the plains I have to say it was a beautiful city."
Nayru had thanked him for keeping the secret, as well as mentioned the people there just want to live. "To be honest, I wouldn't know how to bring up the fact I've been there in a normal conversation without sounding crazy. A city deep in the desert of Nabata guarded by a sand storm where Athos and dragons still live, if I hadn't seen it with my own two eyes I wouldn't believe that story." Kenshin glanced at his horse to check on it, it had wondered off a little bit grazing on the grass.
"I've actually been planning on going back to Arcadia to return an artifact to him, as well as question him about the thing you called an Arum."

"Compared to the shithole that is the rest of Nabata, yeah," Nayru stated with a lopsided grin. She liked Nabata as a whole well enough, there was no anguished hatred in her tone, but she'd be fucked if she defended it to anyone. "People say Khan Yunis is the Jewel of the Desert, but Arcadia is the real treasure despite its smaller size." And those were about the grand total of two places with people that she actually liked about the desert, everything else was sand or ruins as far as she was concerned. It certainly didn't have the luxury of life that most of Elibe took for granted, what with the atmosphere trying to kill you and all.
Kenshin did raise a good point though. There were certainly rumors about Arcadia across Elibe, but very few people actually took them all that seriously, especially among those who lived elsewhere. Even from someone who had the ear of their country it would likely be swept aside as a fevered dream, lightly investigated at worst, unless there was a clear and present threat. "I suppose it is hard to believe for those outside... you know, it's kinda funny, I'd never thought about it like that. The magic of perspective I guess."
She wasn't sure if the crimson warrior was distracted or looking to leave when he checked on his horse, but he didn't seem to be in too much of a hurry so she didn't pay it too much attention, aside from a momentary worry about whether or not she was too boring. Besides, he'd said something pretty interesting. Returning to Arcadia. She had a similar plan of course, but... well. She was a dragon, and an Arcadian one at that. She could handle the sandstorm. He... couldn't. Neither could Remus, for that matter, and she hadn't quite solved that problem just yet aside from trying to think of ways to shield him with her body. Hmm. "If you know about the sandstorm, you must also have a way to get through, huh? I was... thinking about taking a friend there with me, but I'm not sure how to get him through the sandstorm from outside." It was a million to one chance but worth a shot anyways, Nayru wasn't really expecting Kenshin to help but maybe he had some knowledge she had missed or forgotten that would help her get the Blue Beast through - pfft. Just imagining the meek Remus with that name was enough to ruin her concentration by itself.

"Compared to the rest of Elibe that I've saw." the swordsman protested. Nayru had seemed far more well traveled than he had to heard rumors of Arcadia, granted majority of his travels were to a specific location and back to Sacae. She then asked how he planned on getting through the sandstorm, he knew how but the question was where it was. He remembered him and Katara kept their medallions together somewhere in their house and something about her wanting to turn it into some kind of 'family heirloom' or something. He remained silent for a moment trying to remember if there had been any new wall ornaments placed up in the house or not assuming he actually paid attention, this thought could hold for a moment though.
"Near the ending of the Bandit War Athos had met up with everybody in my group and handed us these medallions. He had said if we ever wanted to return to Arcadia for whatever reason to make sure we had that on our person and it would grant us safe passage through the sandstorm. Both my wife and I have one so I can give one to you." The thought of actually returning to Arcadia had never crossed Kenshin's mind, or else he probably would have taken better care of the trinket given to him by Athos.
If Nayru would accept his offer, he had hoped Katara knew where they were since she kept up with it or they could find them with ease. Not only would it hinder her plan, but his as well once this stupid war was over.

"It is something special," she agreed to assuage Kenshin's disagreement, apparently her self-deprecating humor hadn't translated well. Nayru DID like it more than most other cities, certainly anything in Nabata. It was just that to her, as wonderful as it was, it was 'home' - she had seen the darker side of it, the occasional undercurrents of lingering resentment from some of the older dragons, as well as its overall resistance to change. Human and dragon alike, people there tended towards the safer side of social policies and major changes rather than easily accepting progress like human cities might. Not to the point of it afflicting magic and scientific research, at least not when she had been there, but for many other things.
The medallions that the Sacaen swordmaster spoke of were familiar though, some in Arcadia had them and they could be given out for humans who wanted or needed to travel outside. However, that was so rare that few even thought about it - who WANTED to leave Arcadia, anyways? Besides, most dragons could just leave and enter on their own... if they wanted to. Few did. So when she'd left Arcadia, she had had literally 0 reason to even consider trying to take one with her, something she'd never considered as being a problem until recently when considering the Remus problem. Eh, when she put it like that it sounded like he was the problem rather than that the problem was the sandstorm not allowing him. It was kind of important that he make it through the veil alive, though, she really didn't feel like carrying his body through it. And also it would be bad if he died. Obviously.
The dragon bit her lip, hesitating for a moment at Kenshin's offer. Not so much out of pride as her general dislike of offering favors from others. But practicality beat pride after a short and brutal battle, recognizing that she simply didn't have the luxury of refusing. She straightened up before bowing slightly. "...I appreciate your kindness, Kenshin. I can get through the barrier, but I wasn't sure how to bring my friend. He's an earnest young man, one who would gain a great deal from seeing what real peace and coexistence is like, I think."
To say the least, ha ha. She didn't try to explain Remus's full story, or that he seemed determined to try to change Etruria from within. It wasn't a secret if Kenshin asked, simply it didn't seem relevant now. However, it irked her to simply accept Kenshin's kindness without anything on her part. What could she offer in return? "Tell ya what. If I learn anything useful there, I'll try to get in contact with you and tell you what I learned. I'll get a replacement there so I can return yours in time. And uh..." This was one of those things she had to word carefully. Much like dragons, the Sacaen appeared to be a fairly proud man, which meant that it was very easy to make an offer sound like an insult. "If you ever want help protecting Sacae from monsters, hit me up. I've got a lot of experience hunting their kind, and if my suspicions are right, Elibe is about to get a LOT more dangerous soon. It's the least I can do to pay you back."

While he was caught off guard by Nayru saying she had wanted to bring a friend to Arcadia, he wasn't exactly sure how the 'barrier' worked. He had figured that it warded off everybody but it had seemed that it only kept those who weren't born there out. While he didn't know very much about Athos or his wishes he felt like he had to ask this question. "Are you sure that's what Athos would want? For you to bring some stranger he may have not been watching into the land he's been protecting since the Scouring?"
Kenshin had made the offer, even though he wasn't exactly sure if he nor his wife knew where they were at this precise moment in time, the part of the true Sacaen in him couldn't let her down now even though Kenshin wasn't sure if that part of him was still alive. He had thought those about the wickedness of seeking revenge as well as hatred he knew that was still apart of his person today.
Looking towards his horse Kenshin gave a whistle, it brought the horse to him before he grabbed the reins. "If you mean to hold up to your end of your offer, all I can request is that you keep the rest of Elibe safe. Your goal is to keep the entire land safe where mine is to keep Sacae safe. If you can keep whatever you think is coming out of here, I can clean up what you miss in Sacae. I will give you a lift to my home if you accept it." Kenshin had mounted the horse while keeping a hand extended to Nayru.

What would Athos want? Nayru wasn't absolutely certain HOW to answer that question. She didn't think Athos actively vetted everyone in town, not that she actually knew that. The Council did that, officially anyways. "There's no law against bringing people with you, just the unstated implication that it's on your head if they start trouble, I think." You THINK. Great job Nayru, really talking your way out of this one. "And Athos discovered Arcadia centuries after it already existed. But Remus is the kind of guy who apologizes to ants he steps on. I wouldn't bring him there if I didn't trust him from the perspective of someone who understands the value of that secret intimately."
She did appreciate Kenshin's concern of course, as Nayru had already said to him. She wasn't gonna like, yell at him for asking. But she was... fairly sure about this. More than she had been on many things in a long time. If there was anyone she really trusted to start making their dreams a reality, Remus was at the very top of that short list, and one of the few who gave more than lip service to real peace between humans and dragons. Not to say she thought Locke was entirely full of crap, but he seemed to have ulterior motives as well. Kenshin, at least as far as she could tell, was a genuinely principled man - albeit one who wrestled with more beneath the surface. Nayru didn't track famous guys well enough to know exactly where the Crimson Demon title came from, 500 years of humans coming and going had left her a little resistant to fame to say the least, but she had a feeling it wasn't because he kissed babies and said nice things to people.
As for his last bit? That was easier to respond to. Nayru grinned up at the Sacaen, feeling a little more in her element as she accepted the hand and got up on the horse. She was by no means an expert horse rider, but several hundred years of wandering had at least left her as at least competent at the basics if nothing else. "I don't make promises I won't keep, Kenshin. I can't be everywhere, but I'll do everything I can for as long as I can." The dragon knew quite well that that didn't mean forever. She would most likely die in that goal at some point, or be forced into hiding, or any of a number of possibilities. But if she was going to try to do something right for Elibe, she was gonna DO it, dammit. Just needed to figure out how best to, uh, actually pull it off, which was why she was going back to Arcadia in the first place.
