Huh. She was... starting to get a better feel for the standoffish Shara as the other dragon shared her thoughts to a degree. Not that Nayru hadn't had ANY read on Shara before of course. She could be a little, uh, dense at times, but it wasn't that hard to tell when you're being mocked or the other person wasn't telling you everything. But at the same time, put frankly, Nayru had somewhat recently learned to not worry about it too much. It wasn't that she LIKED people being mean to each other. But she wasn't in much position to judge, so why let it get to you? Easier said than done sometimes, of course. But hey, what ideal wasn't? If they were all that easy there wouldn't be much point in ideals in the first place.
Besides, again, it wasn't like she could really judge Shara for staying disconnected either. It was admittedly something had struggled with until recently as well. As funny as it sounded... she probably had Elly to thank for that. It wasn't until the girl had repeatedly wormed her way through Nayru's guard, over and over, that she had really considered what it meant to let someone else in again. For the first time since her life in Arcadia. So Nayru just smiled a little at Shara's admission, not convinced that there was anything she could say that would truly add to the conversation in that regard. Stupid jokes certainly weren't appropriate, and talking mad crap about a 'sin' she herself had committed would be the height of hypocrisy.
As for that last bit, though, "...Hey, no problem." There was no affected discomfort in Nayru's demeanor, that sideways glance, momentary stare down, and movement to rub the back of her neck sheepishly with one hand were entirely genuine, courtesy of robo-Nayru being even worse with gratitude than with compliments. She had mostly been able to avoid or ignore it until that hubbub with the chimera in Bern, but the measure of fame she'd accidentally cultivated had been so horrifying that she'd left the area entirely and didn't plan on returning, except incognito, for another forty years at least. "I hope you find what you're looking for, Shara. This world could use some more heroes."

Did Nayru just imply that Shara, of all people, could become a hero? At that moment she...just couldn't afford to think about that. Instinct had her write it off, as silently as possible, but the words lingered on in the chaotic maelstrom that assaulted her mind. She just...stored the thought away, and would hopefully revisit it once she had cleared her mind. Or, perhaps, upon meeting with Nayru again. Yes, Shara didn't like the thought of letting someone so interesting disappear in a single meeting.
"I see." Shara started, taking a slow breath to gather the rest of her shaken composure. "I apologize, but I need to take a moment...perhaps a day...to think on some things." It was a poor excuse, she felt, but the honest truth all the same. She'd be woefully distracted if she stuck around, too much to be part of any meaningful conversation.
"I truly enjoyed our conversation, though. Ah, there's a village that I was headed to, hoping to spend the night there. If you'll be in area, perhaps we could get together again? Tomorrow or some day soon? Discuss some things further?" She gave a genuine smile, relaxed enough to cease her fidgeting. Good lord how embarrassing that had been for her.
If she wasn't so drained she'd also ask Nayru if she ah, was finished annihilating the landscape and was willing to accompany her then and there. Of course that was a bit of an overstatement there, but she didn't know how else to describe it. Training, sure, that was accurate and obvious, but it was a bit dull.
Ah...but now wasn't the time to indulge in whatever humor she actually had. Shara still did have much to think about.

"Yeah, sure." Nayru chuckled, not so much at Shara as her realization that she had said a LOT more than she expected there. "Sorry about rambling like that." In all honesty though, the dragon couldn't blame her counterpart at all for a need for space, she had laid it on pretty thick - and more importantly, Nayru had only learned all of that very gradually, kicking and screaming all the way, over the course of months... and years of buildup to the point that she could even get there. Even with all that considered, it had still taken the endless good fortune of actually meeting Elly, Veigue, Remus, and... yes, even Aerious, if only to show her what she feared becoming.
So to take it all in a few minutes? Yeah, that was a bit much to expect of anyone. It wasn't exactly magnanimity, but it was as close as Nayru got to being graceful at the best of times. She honestly hadn't expected Shara to take her seriously at all, much less be that shaken by it. It wasn't the first time this had happened, though, Locke had gotten all weird too, but Nayru was pretty sure he was just crazy rather than actually swayed by her words, she couldn't take credit for that one.
"-And yes, I have a few days free before I meet up with Remus again, he had to take care of some business before our next little adventure." Nayru's smile widened, somewhat back to her usual idiocy in the wake of having a good moment, as she rotated her left shoulder a bit. "Got my breath back so I should get back to training anyways." As with, ah, many of her decisions, she was somewhat doubtful of its wisdom - but Nayru WAS sure that she needed to finally take her body seriously, and above that... honestly, she still needed to get a lot of stress out in the next few days, or the events of her next destination would crack her like an egg. She was good at punching stuff. Dealing with her on problems... not so much. "It was good to meet you, Shara. May the Sky watch over you." An old Sacaen proverb. They seemed to have one of those for everything. Nayru wasn't exactly in love with their culture, but she did like some of their sayings.

"Oh, no need for apologies. If anything I encouraged it." It was infinitely more a case of Shara biting off more than she could chew. She was hungry for new knowledge, but the direction the conversation had taken was unexpected. Not...entirely unpleasant, though, but she really did need some time alone to really digest it all. Still, she had thanked Nayru and not put her at fault, and she stood by that.
But it seemed Nayru was free and open to the meet-up! Good. Shara truly hoped to have gathered her wits in full by that time. The other dragoness seemed to want to return to her training, and Shara silently respected her diligence. When even was the last time Shara had bothered to train at all? Er...at least a couple of centuries by this point. For all her confidence when it came to dealing with the average Elibean threat, she was likely far beyond "rusty".
"Best of luck with your training, Nayru. I look forward to seeing you again." With that Shara turned her back to the dragoness and, once she gathered her bearings, began to make her way towards her destination once again.
Purpose. Heroes. Arum. War. The two had covered a great number of heavy topics, both heavy in terms of consequence and in terms of ideological weight alike. Really, Shara lived for conversations like this. They just usually didn't wind up so...personal. She was far more comfortable sticking to the objective end of things. Dealing with hard facts about any subject, aside from herself, or her own ideologies.
Still, Shara supposed this was...just a new topic of study. Something fresh for her to sink her teeth into. How she would go about studying, though, was the real question. She was not a text. No researchers of old have hypothesized or recorded any data regarding her. She held the answer to all the questions she wanted to ask, yet somehow they evaded her. It was frustrating...
But, especially when it came to struggles of the mind, Shara never said no to a challenge.
