Ah, yes. Shara had actually heard about the supposed dragon sightings in Bern. At first she thought them to be false claims, men and women often told tall tales regarding things that they did not understand. However she now knew that Nayru was responsible for one such sighting, or at least phenomena that could be linked to a sighting. Perhaps the other had been true as well? All the more reason to spend a bit of time there and investigate...albeit with caution.
“I see. Bern has indeed become a land in the midst of a great change. I can't think of a more fitting destination.” Shara mused with a wry smile. Her curiosity was indeed back with full force. Where she would go after Bern she wasn't certain, but perhaps it was too soon to think that far ahead. She had learned, over the past two days, quite clearly that there were more pressing matters for her to direct her attention to. Personal questions she could no longer afford to simply write off. “But thank you for the warning. I'll be cautious...though curious. I'm going to a country in flux, and you are headed to one of stagnation.”
Granted, when it came to Arcadia, it was hard to progress from 'Utopia'. That was the downside of perfection. You had nowhere to go but down. If Arcadia were simply to expand the community, history, culture, and overall peace of the city would be jeopardized. Elibe would tear into it, and no doubt it would become no different from Bern or Ilia or Etruria. A shame, for Arcadia's perfection was...still good. Something truly remarkable that, as far as Shara knew, had not been replicated whatsoever in any other part of the world.
Yet it was stuck the way it was.
“The...veil...is quite a hindrance, as it should be, but I'm sure you'll manage it just fine.” She didn't feel she needed to comment much more than that. Shara's experiences with Arcadia were mostly spent in the archives, and apart from what she had read she had very little to share about it. Shara also didn't intend on returning anytime soon. To Nabata as a whole, let alone the utopia hidden within. Too much sand, too little...anything. It wasn't even quiet or calm enough for her to go out and clear her head. The wind howled even far from Arcadia's veil.
At last Shara stood to her feet, brushing her hands together to wipe away the dirt and blades of grass that clung to them. Ugh, she had gotten a bit sweaty during that spar. She'd need a proper bath and...perhaps she could change into one of her dresses. Though she had forgotten just how easy it was to move in proper pants. Her dresses no doubt weighed her down during her trek as well.
Hm, something else to consider.
“Either way, and I know I've said this plenty, but thank you for the spar, Nayru.” Her hands were...clean enough, for her to offer one to the bronzed dragoness, to help her to her feet should she need or want it. “You're more than welcome to spend some more time back at the inn. Maybe have a nice cup of tea?”
