Why haven't we started this thread yet?
Me and Oleg lived up to our campaign promise. We made FE Great Again with Echos, we even brought Fire Emblem Warriors AND another console Fire Emblem. They were scared of us so they threw in the mobile game which looks fantastic.

So, Shadows of Valentia. I'm really stoked for a Fire Emblem game with a proper story. I haven't played Gaiden, so I can't vouch any of it's features, but I'm crazy optimistic about it. Also, it's crazy they JUST release this video and they'll start selling it three months later.
The RPG elements were really odd and a little off-putting at first, but I'm actually sort of happy that they decided to 'Reimagine' Fire Emblem Gaiden rather than perhaps immediately remake Genealogy or Thracia. Gaiden was/is probably the least noticeably 'Fire Emblem' mechanically of any of the games they could have chosen, so they can experiment with ways to invigorate the series that don't involve face-petting and S supports for everyone. (Geneology would've most likely had cardboard cutout S Supports.) Also, Gaiden is pretty butt-ugly. If this game gets proper attention it could do great things for the franchise as a whole.
That being said, I doubt Shadows of Valentia is going to have great map design. The first Fire Emblems didn't have the greatest map design, and if the flash-forward scenes are anything to go by, they're being really faithful to Gaiden.
Final thoughts? Thank god for an armor knight model that doesn't look like garbage.
