If you had to describe Wei in one word the word reckless would come to mind. In battle Wei fought with everything he had. He would often throw himself at his enemy, with reckless abandonment. The only thing keeping him alive was luck, and his enemies own self preservation. It would be easy to skewer him, but one would not walk away from the engagement unharmed. Fear, that was how he won, fear and recklessness. However that was not all that was Wei. Wei was also a man of cunning, though it is rarely seen outright. He always keeps his ear to the ground and tries to gain information about the area he is working in. You would be well surprise if you engaged the young lad in a talk about politics and the ambitions of local and major lords. He was a well informed mercenary indeed. Wei knew the law very well. His father was a guardsmen after all. He understood the punishment he would face if he killed this man. He knew the weight of his actions. Wei was cunning, but no slick words or loop holes could get him out of such a public murder. However Wei was reckless, especially so in battle.
The brigand did not even miss a beat. As his opponent fell he moved in to strike. This was battle no time to think, no time to react. Wei did not falter by the sounds of horror. He did not falter when people called the guard. He did not faulter when the man let off his evil grin, Wei's axe did not falter as it came down toward the man's chest. Wei was reckless.

It was inevitable. Cries of woe resounded from the gathered civilians as they now witnessed Wei split the fallen myrmidion's breast like he would a felled tree. To think the son of a guardsman of Thria would commit such a crime. That is what it had seemed like, at least, considering the fact that Wei had struck first. But as the villagers cried out, another sound joined their chorus. The whisping of arrows having been loosed. Now Wei would spot two arrows heading towards his torso, having been loosed by men in leather armor and dark green tabbards. Why, these were the archers that had been spotted earlier; the village guard. Would he strike out against this town's officials? With so many people watching? Regardless, Wei only had moments to react.
Meanwhile, Appius was met with similar projectiles, throwing knives having pierced his left arm and right leg. For the opposing swordsman had aimed for Appius' limbs due to the plate mail which rhe saracen bore; material which surely would have deflected the small knives. Now with three knives lodged within his flesh, Appius looked up towards the man cloaked in red and blue once more. "Bastard..!" Appius exclaimed after having been stricken. The myrmidion, however, seemed quite pleased in contrast. "I suppose I shouldn't kill you, as instructed, but who'll be the one to tell my employer? For all he knows you'll be alive and well once I'm through with you. Dead men tell no tales."

"Rot in hell", spoke Wei as he spat on the man's now still corpse. With a satisfying squishy sound wei removed his axe from the mans body and his tunnel vision came to a end. All of his senses were ambushed by all that was going on. The cries for help, the pulling of a bow string, the realization on what he had just done. Everything hit him like a rock hidden in a snow ball. It was all Wei could do to raise his axe and cut the first arrow out of the sky. A amazing feat by many standards. A clear testament to the results of Wei's long hours of training and the quality of his brave axe. However that did little to stop the second arrow. The speeding projectile slammed into Wei shinny new battle coat like a bolt of lightning racing toward the ground. Lucky for him the arrow hit one of the metal plates inside the coat of arms, however that did not stop it from piercing, or hurting for that matter. The arrow nearly knocked wei off his feet. Whoever was shooting that bow must have a strong back and arms to fire something with that much draw power. Blood began to pour out of Wei's wound and the young warrior was forced to take a knee.
"Damn it", shouted Wei. He knew he could not let himself be caught. They would hang him before the day was through. Another arrow whipped by. This one sliced the side of his cheek. "If I last that long", chuckled Wei as he broke the shaft off the arrow and took off ruining. Projectiles followed his every footstep as the guardsmen began to follow. He was starting to hate that the city had a well stocked and used training facility. It was really starting to show in there guards.
"Close the gates", shouted a guard in the distance. It was clear that they did not want Wei to escape. Out in the wild wei would have the advantage. Standard practice has always been to shut the gate when chasing a criminal. Wei's own father was a guardsmen so he knew there drills like a book. Wei's goal was never the gate however. He was aiming for a far easier place to escape from.
"over here", shouted a guardsmen as he popped around a corner and stabbed at Wei's chest. Wei moved to the side dodging the blunt of the blow, bit the blade still cut the side of his arm.
"son of a", shouted Wei as he slammed his body into the shaft of the lance. The guardsmen tried to recover, but a swift puch to the jaw knocked him off balance. "Lucky for you I don't have the time", shouted Wei as he ran off. Only a little bi further and he would be at the training ground.

"If you had any sense, you'd run away now," said the myrmidion in red and blue, watching as Appius now clammered up to the thatch roof. The small holes in his arm and legs had since been relieved of the daggera which had formed them in the first place, but that wasn't to say they had stopped bleeding. Appius, now joining the swordsman upon the roof, stood with his sword and shield at the ready. "This isn't the safest of terrain," Appius informed his opponent, "but I'm willing to guess you know that. Do you expect me to falter in fear of falling?" The myrmidion chuckled, waving his remaining throwing knives before Appius. "Perhaps. But you'll die before you have any time to think about it!" With Appius still bleeding, now was his chance. The swordsman flung the remainder of his daggers at Appius, flying close together after having all been flung from thw same hand. But Appius, despite his current injuries, was more vigilant than the man had assumed, raising his targe just in time to have it punctured like a dartboard, each knife finding its mark around the shield's circumference. But, now lowering his protective pin cushion, Appius lunged forth with his right foot to send a diagonal strike from rightto left across his opponent's torso.
Guardsmen could be heard below, hurrying after Wei as he retreated to the training ground. Two lancers diverted from their allies, however, seeing Appius and the myrmidion struggling atop the thatch-roofed home. In this case, they had seen the man in red strike first, but they knew he was associated with Wei at least. So this gave them the idea that Appius was the agressor here as well. And now seeing their blades clash once more, the myrmidion parrying his opponent once more before going to cleave actoss Apius' abdomen only reassured them. But as Appius now stumbled back so thag the swordsman's weapon only scratched his cuirass, there came a distinctive snapping noise from the roof which indicated that the twine supporting them would not last much longer.

The training ground thought Wei as he reached his destination. A guardsmen rushed around a blind corner and attacked with his spear. Wei moved to jump back, but the pain in his shoulder caused him to hesitate for a moment. That moment caused him space. The spear blade made a slice across Wei's abdomen in his attempt to retreat. The blow was not deep, but it did its purpose, piss Wei off. Wei charged forward with the same ferocity in which he attacked the swordsmen. War was in his eyes. He did not see the man as a guardsmen, but a target to be eliminated. Such reckless abandonment placed fear in the guardsmen heart. He could scewer wei, but the move would cost him. Wei would keep going. He would not stop. His axe would not stop. He would kill the brigand, but end up dying himself, that was not worth it. He had a life. He had a family. Dying in a back alleyway was not how he wanted to go. Instead the man opted to give ground and retreat back into the training area there he could take advantage of the terain and kill the bastard without him taking with him.
As the to entered the training area the guardsmen used a training stand as a shield and struck out at Wei. The brigand was force to jump to the side in defense, there was no blow to be had. That action however brought wei back to reality, well that and the sound of a arrow being fired. It missed, but it reminded him of his goal. Wei suddenly changed courses, which caught the guardsmen off guard. The brigand quickly jumped up onto a nearby crate without losing his momentum. Immediately the guardsmen realized what he was doing.
"Somebody stop him", he shouted! The archers began to fire at Wei as he leaped for the roof and pulled himself up. He barely dodge a arrow that was aiming for his back. With the building as cover Wei moved to the nearby wall. With a quick jump he pulled himself up to the battlements.
"Surrender or die", shouted a voice as a man clad in official looking armor rushed toward him with a sword. If Wei had to guess he was probably the captain of the guard. Quickly rushing into place were two archers. Wei could not risk them getting a train on him. He went for it and the guard captain rushed forward with his blade to strike him down.

((Sorry for such a late reply.))
At hearing the roof creak, Appius observed that the thatchery suspending him and his opponent wouldn't hold for long. He was either going have to finish the myrmidion here or somehow escape. Stepping forth with his left foot, Appius swung his scimitar down in a diagonal movement, but not to strike his opponent ad the swordsman might assume, the shamshir's length curving about his left side, Appius raising his targe before him. The opposing myrmidion brought down his own scimitar towards Appius at the same time, having assumed he would need to block a strike from Appius. Though he was surprised when his steel met that of Appius' shield boss. Now extending his left arm holding his shield upwards, Appius brought his opponent's sword along with it, leaving an opening for him to cut right along the myrmidion's abdomen. Appius did so, now watching as the cloaked man stammered backwards, his stomach with a brand new gash across its entirety.
"Do be stilled," Appius said, now lunging forth with his shield lowered. Appius knocked the swordsman to the ground with his shield, the two's combined weight crashing down through the thatched roof and unto a dining table within the home. Blood now drooled from the myrmidion's mouth, unmoving. Having used him as a cushion to his own fall, Appius jab no doubt that the misguided man had passed on. But there was little time for thought, as at the house's door there now appeared two guardsmen wielding iron lances. Lowering their spears to aim at Appius from the doorway, the man on the right said, "Do not bother trying to run. The walls here may be compacted dirt, but no man can burst through them with merely a sword and shield." Appius removed himself from the corpse upon which he had landed, standing before the two soldiers. "That is so... Then I suppose I must go through you two!" Drawing one of the wooden chairs from the side of the table he and his previous opponent had come crashing down upon, Appius kicked it towards the rightmost guardsmen, although he knew it would not do much. For it was only a distraction; Appius then going to lift his targe and send the rim of his shield down onto the end of the left soldier's spear.
The mercenary was successful in chipping off the tip of the left guardsman's spear, making it a hardly lethal instrument. But as the end of his weapon was broken off, the soldier lifted his lance, jabbing the now blunt end into Appius' breast so as to shove him back; the guard to Appius' right now discarding the chair which had been flung his way.

The sound of metal against metal filled thw air as Wei branished his axe. The blade of his axe clashed against the sword of the guard captain. Tjhe resulting crash caused the blade edge of the man's sword to slightly chip. Wei knew the man would go for the kill the moment he moved. He simply had to predict the blades path. Wei's weapon won the clash, the swordsmen's blade was parried. The archers pulled back on there bows to ready there shot, but body of there commander was in the way.
"Sorry but it is not going to be that easy", chuckled Wei as he jumped backwards to create space.
"Surrender murderer and face justice", shouted the guard captain."
"Murderer?" that was all Wei could get out before the man moved in to strike. Wei stuck out first however. His weapon was lighter and gave him a speed advantage over the captains blade. Quickly the man rose his blade in defense.
"Fiend"
"Sorry, buy I don't have time to explain." With that Wei dashed to the end of the wall. The guard Captain rushed with his blade, just like Wei wanted. The young brigand raised the shaft of his weapon to deflect the sword blow and grabbed the arm of the commander with his free hand.
"What is this", spoke the man. That was all he could say as Wei quickly turned them around, giving the archer a shot. Arrows were fired, but before they could land a blow Wei pushed himself and the captain over the edge. The two fell like a stone hitting the ground 16 feet below. Wei had used the guard captain to soften his fall, but the impact still hurt.
"Captain", shouted a archer as he looked down. Quick get around thee gate."
"Dang", spoke Wei as he pulled himself off the ground. Everything hurted, but he was still alive. Fighting through the pain Wei moved into the monster infested woods preying he did not run into any beast. [Wei exits thread]

Appius sounded an unpleasant 'ghfuh-!' as he was tocked in the side of the jaw by the left guardsman's blunted lance after having been struck near the collar, the lancer to his right kicking the chair Appius had sent his way to the side. The saracen was about to be in a tight spot, though there was little time for hesitation. Appius was not used to fighting in such enclosed spaces, so his first priority was to find a way out of here. The walls were dirt, as the guards had said, but surely it'd only be painful to break through them. Not to mention the threat of being stabbed in the spine whilst he attempted to do so. Though there was one thing Appius had that the guards didn't: a shield. A miniature battering ram in his eyes. As the right guardsman lowered his spear and thrusted it towards Appius, the dark-skinned man extended his shield and caught the pike against his targe's face; the guardsman now skidding back as Appius advanced, forcing him back, albeit only by a tad.
He cast the round shield to the side, forcing the guardsman's lance to his left side which blocked the other guard's initial direction of attack. Appius now running towards the man he had disoriented with his right shoulder. These were innocent men only confused by a set of odd circumstances, there was no need to harm them if Appius could avoid it. Now on his back, the right guardsman skidded out of the doorway onto the dirt road outside, with the opposing mercenary atop him. Before, with a groan, Appius went to push himself off of the guard and run towards the street as fast as he could with his gear. It wouldn't be something he could do for long, it wouldn't get him out of the town, though it was enough for Appius to get to Zaahid. He whistled for his mount, though untrained as the camel was, it did not come to its master's call.
"Damned beast," Appius murmured in irritation, now with the guards from before following in pursuit as the saracen ran for his camel.
Albeit slowly, the camel stood as Appius approached, in no hurry whatsoever despite the intensity of the situation. Appius finally drew within range for him to grab onto Zaahid's reins, going to mount the creature. But, as Appius went to pull himself up over Zaahid's back, the guardsman who had not had his spearhead cut off flung the pike at Appius. It struck true, the iron finding itself a nest inside of the mercenary's back. "Ghah..!" Appius cried in pain, falling back to the ground. "Z... Hut hut!" Zaahid knew the cry well. Although a slower animal than any horse, in that moment the low speed of a camel did not show as Zaahid's eyes widened and he took off towards whatever may lay ahead. Appius, unfortunately, skidding his feet along the ground with a spear in his back as the saracen clung for dear life to the camel's reins.
