Ito’s arms had a calming effect on the sniveling girl as he reciprocated the sudden embrace. She had been sure they would topple over when she felt his stance shift with what had almost literally been a tackle on her part. Her posture calmed though, and she gradually became quiescent from the comforting arms around her. It was his voice though that comforted her the most. When at last the tearful huntress had finally let her pent up emotion decompress, she broke the death grip she had surely subjected the swordsman’s armor to. With her right hand still lingering against Ito’s chestplate, just to the side of his left shoulder, she looked up into his eyes, her own moistened eyes filled with a mixture of embarrassment from her sudden outburst, and vulnerability. To lose her composure so completely felt silly to her, yet she had been overwhelmed so quickly.
It was easy to ignore the sheer number of hardships she had been repressing on the road. She’d essentially turned her back on everything she loved, to strike out into the unknown unprepared. Youthful ignorance had brought more trouble on her than pride would allow her to confess. Even the circumstances of her rash departure had been repressed quickly enough once the excitement of adventure won her over, the situation with Deen she had coped with by escaping. Had her mother expected her to come back moments later? Gods.. her parents must have assumed the worst by now. For Selunae to have called her mother a liar like that and flee so suddenly as she did, the expression on Elle’s face appearing as though she had been slapped. Her mother couldn’t have understood her feelings, though. The turbulence had erupted so suddenly, and the huntress could think of no other recourse in the heat of that moment. Why had she left home, though, and not retreated to her room to cry until her feelings sorted themselves out? It was pointless to ponder such things now, for now she was here, having bawled her eyes out in the arms of a complete stranger she had just met in the middle of the wilderness. Did she really catch him smiling though? Surely she imagined it. There was the tear, too. She'd never recalled seeing a man cry before, but it didn't seem odd or out of place.
“I.. I’m sorry.. It’s just.. I uh..,” the gloomy archer glanced to her right, casting her gaze downward as she did, the hand extended to Ito’s chest slipping away and pressing flat against the leather breastplate adorning her own chest. The action reflected the shamefulness she felt for throwing herself at him the way she did. “It’s.. it’s been hard..”
Selunae continued the slow motion, rotating to face the stream again before strolling forward in drifting slow steps to take a seat by the water. With a wistful look to the sky, she paused hesitantly before continuing.
“What...what was her name?” The question flowed with a skeptical air, as if Selunae questioned whether or not she should be asking, but she followed up anyway before the dispassionate myrmidon gave an answer. “Your wife… What was her name?”

Black Wolf raised his Hand Axe and let it flying at Dawson. The aim was overshot as it soared over Dawsons head. Dawson then prepared to send out another bolt of dark energy at Black Wolf when Black Wolf then swung his large fist at Dawsons side, hitting him in the cut area. "Give it up Dawson, you'll never defeat Draco. You can't even defeat me!" he said with a grin.
Dawson laid on the ground as Black Wolf slowly walked over and grabbed his Regal Axe. Dawson just held on to his Flux tome as Black Wolf stood over his body. "Any last words Dawson?" Black Wolf said with a grin. Dawson only clutched his Flux tome as he glared at Black Wolf. "I got plenty...and I'm...not done yet!" he said as he sent a black energy bolt at Black Wolf. Black Wolf was sent back by the blast with no time to react to it. Dawson scrambled to get up as he ran out of the woods back to where Ito was at with the young archer.
Dawson looked back, pleased to see that Black Wolf wasn't giving chase for now, Dawson just sat on the ground as he wiped sweat from his face. He could see that Ito and the young archer were having a moment, so he decided to remain where he was, not to mention that he was pretty much exhausted. Plus, if Black Wolf was still following him, he didn't want to get those two involved...

Ito let her go as she released him, lingering for a moment and holding eye contact before she turned away. She looked pained too, though certainly not to the same degree as he was. That was okay, though. It gave Ito something to pay care to; someone to try and care for. It had been a long, lonely road for Ito since he started, and he wished for no one to have to experience his pain.
"It's okay, Lunie. We all fall into hard times. I'm going to guess and say that you left home because things got hard - it's what I did too."
The girl's skeptically toned question hung in the air like the feeling of grief that had hung around Ito since he'd lost his wife. It wasn't easy for him to talk about, but at times, it was necessary.
"Her name? Her name... It was... Luci. She was from Ostia, my wife. Had The Prophet waited another week we would've been there, helping her parents with some labor as they ran short on farmhands. Just one more week, and I could've been with her, instead of staying here to live life like I did when she died.
I've really had no direction since that day. I attained my vengeance on the guild that forced us away, but it wasn't fulfilling. Nothing I've done has brought her back, and I'm not sure that anything will." Ito held back a second tear, his smile fading as he held onto the memory of his emotional demise.
Nothing will bring her back...
Just then, Dawson burst into the clearing. Ito certainly wasn't expecting it, but his calm remained as he looked at the shaman. The dark magician was really beat up all of a sudden, Ito questioning what happened in his mind before realizing something. "Dawson... has somebody come looking for you?" Ito's right hand went straight to the hilt of his sword, ready to unsheath the blade as he waited for the shaman's response. It was either an Etrurian searching for the resistance member, or whoever it was that Dawson had mentioned 'getting back at' earlier.

Lunie seemed lulled by a somberness that had set upon her being. It wasn’t so much that everything had finally caught up, so much as her emotional state had been grounded back in reality by a good ol’ cry. The joy of being rescued, the terror of her near death experience, even the tearjerker of Ito’s past, everything had settled into stable state now. She was exhausted and hungry, but for better or worse at peace with the moment. It wasn’t depression per se, but she didn’t truly have the energy to be her normally more cheerful self.
The girl sighed at Ito’s attempt to discern her departure from home. Things hadn’t got ‘hard’ at home, though they had certainly been difficult afterwards. She’d simply been stupid. Allowing a single unrestrained emotional outburst to blossom into this fiasco was shameful. Though the swordsman had opened a proverbial floodgate of information in response her question, she was rather sensitive and self-conscious about her reasons for leaving. It was difficult enough to simply affirm her mistake silently to herself without feeling judged by others. For now, it was less complicated to simply let it be. There was no energy for complicated, so Selunae gave a response in the form of a sidelong glance and a halfhearted nod.
Luci. Having a name for the young woman added a twang of pain to the archer’s heart. It is more real when there are names. She pondered the issue further, the grim assumption that she’d have been a nameless corpse without Ito’s interference giving her pause with morbid curiosity. It was difficult to read it in her expression behind the fatigue and pain, but there were slight hints of her despair. To hear the swordsman speak of being denied the opportunity of joining his beloved in death in such a manner practically drew a wince from her, though she suppressed it. Instead of recoiling, it simply looked more she had discreetly broke wind.
“It’ll prolly sound hollow comin’ from somebody ya just met, but ya gotta move on and find a new purpose. I bet Luci would wantcha to be happy again, and ya can’t blame yourself. I’d be split in two if ya hadn’t showed up to help. I think you’re meant for more than becomin’ monster chow, or some demon mage’s ..uhm…,” she paused in thought, not really sure where to carry that sentence from there. Selunae had felt like she was on a roll there for a brief moment, but she couldn’t come up with a metaphor. Fair enough though, the pause was conveniently punctuated by Dawson drawing Ito’s attention away from her with his sudden reappearance. Without missing a beat, the stumped huntress played the scenario off as if she’d been distracted by the shaman’s arrival on the scene as well.
Ito had spoke first, and the tone of his question and accompanying body language suggested that her suspicion that he has hiding information about the mage from her was pretty darn well-founded. Rather than adding any questions or comments of her own, she decided to let the swordsman take the lead on whatever was, or wasn’t for that matter, happening.

Dawson sat on the ground, clearly very exhausted and sore from his battle with Black Wolf. That was when Ito noticed him and questioned him. He sighed, he clearly didn't want to endanger those two anymore than he did, but it seems he had no choice. Not to mention, hes a terrible lier, so he can't make something up! He looked at the pair and sighed. "I really wish you two wouldn't get involved...but yes...someone IS looking for me...but if you two leave now, I'm certain that he'll leave you two alone" he said. At least I hope so...Black Wolf can be rather...unpredictable to say the least, who knows what'll happen if he catches me with those two. He might kill them, or worse! he thought.
That was when Black Wolf then ran out of the forest as well, clearly looking very enraged. "Ye that that you can escape from ME! Well, you'd think again Dawson!" he yelled as he threw his Hand Axe at Dawson. Dawson rolled out of the way as he clutched his Flux tome in hand. That was when Black Wolf looked at Ito and the young archer. "Ye two seen too much, can't let ya live knowing about us!" Black Wolf said as he raised his Regal Axe and charged right at Ito.
Dawson fired a dark energy blast at Black Wolf, hitting him in the back. Black Wolf howled in pain as he turned toward Dawson with glaring eyes filled with hate. "You two, get out of here, now! I will not have any innocents be hurt by this man or the people he is with!" Dawson yelled out. Black Wolf then charged at Dawson with his Regal Axe held above his head.

After all I've done, shaman... I'm far from innocent.
"Lunie, I want you to stay back. I'll handle this as well as I can, but I need you to be prepared to leave and save yourself."
Ito's call had turned out correct. His blade came unsheathed as the Black Wolf came barreling through the underbrush and into the clearing. As the hulking brute charged forward with the regal ax, Ito sprinted forth to meet him. Then the newcomer's attention was split for a moment, as the dark magician's dark magic attack flew true and struck the ax wielder. Once the man had turned to face Dawson completely, Ito practically leapt at the Black Wolf, sword high as he let out a yell and brought his blade down toward his newfound enemy. Should the strike find its place, the brutish fighter would be severely injured and open to either retreat or death.
The Wolf turned again, sidestepping Ito's strike and catching the myrmidon off guard. Perhaps I should yell a little less... Black Wolf's next move was to be expected as the towering man swung his regal axe around in a horizontal semicircle. Ito couldn't react fast enough for any type of counter and was forced to take the full hit, stumbling back as the unbreakable metal gouged halfway through Ito's iron sword. He'd been the perfect bait, it seemed. Leaving himself so open was not good for himself, but some residual feeling told him it would be worth it. Perhaps death would take him this time. Maybe the girl would come to his rescue and disregard what he said, again, without getting smacked by a blast of nether magic this time. Or even the shaman, with his mysterious powers, and even more mysterious how he got them.

In mere seconds the atmosphere had changed from somber to danger. The twilight still bore enough trace of the sun to clearly see this ‘Black Wolf’ wasn’t something likely to be someone you’d greet in the marketplace or chat about current events in the tavern with. Of course, to Selunae, ‘Black Wolf’ was just ‘random creepy guy with an axe.’ Two axes, rather. He had two axes. Ito then chimed in, with his warning to stay back and save herself. ‘I can handle myself, ya know. I’ll prove it to you if I have to.’
The foreboding fighter’s words left a cold sting in her heart though, for him to hurl death threats off the cuff like that. It was more, she guessed, that he was clearly the type of person to deliver on such threats. The archer didn’t have the luxury of contemplating a plan of action at her leisure, as the dusk clad warrior sprung into action immediately. There was no interest in robbing or plundering, only in bloodshed. As her fingers wrapped around the riser of her bow, she saw the one thing capable of breaking her spirit, concentration, and all situational awareness. That swell of dark magic, the one she suddenly remembered Ito being pelted with. The one that… yes, she’d been hit by it as well. She was sure of it. Irrational fear swayed her thoughts, paranoia distracting her from the real threat as she forgot who she was intending to fight. Doubt and uncertainty clouded her judgment, as the arrow she nocked into her bow aimed first for Dawson. The earliest signs of panic were registering on her face, as her eyes took a feral expression. Selunae was on the verge of releasing when Ito’s battle cry shook her from her almost trance-like fixation.
Returned to her senses but still shaken, she realized she’d steadily been edging backwards the entire time, leaving her in good position to take on the aggressor that had just practically leapt out of the woods at them. With a gasp, she watched as Ito’s attack not only failed to make purchase, but also left him wide open. She adjusted her stance, stabilized her breathing, and released her arrow. The trajectory and velocity of the shot was nearly perfect, the huntress felt it as it had left the bow. Her aim could have been a little better, as instead of a kill shot, the projectile lodged solidly in Black Wolf’s left shoulder. He had certainly felt it too, as he cast a scornful glance her way. Hitting her target like that put a smirk on her lips though, and also brought out her cockiness.
“What’s wrong, scared’a being beaten by a girl?” Selunae taunted, her expression accentuating the brash tone of her challenge. It took only three seconds for her to regret those words, as the pain in her opponent's face was completely replaced with a sinister grin.
“Looks like we got a volunteer for who’s dyin’ first!” Black Wolf belted in response, ripping the regal axe away from Ito’s sword with enough force to pull nearly anyone off balance. With two confident steps towards Selunae, the black-armored fighter snapped the shaft off of the arrow in his shoulder with one hand and broke into a sprint. That was when the archer truly did panic, hesitating for a brief second before following up on Ito’s advice to flee. She was lighter and more agile, and if not for that hesitation she’d have easily escaped with no problems. Also complicating matters was her attempt to ready another arrow, which to her dismay, was difficult to do without slowing down enough to give her pursuer opportunity to gain ground.
Hopefully Ito and Dawson could take advantage of this before it was too late, because judging by the stomping thud of boots behind her, Black Wolf was nearly close enough to take a swing with that axe of his, and she had no desire for its blade to become ensheathed in her back.

Dawson gripped his Flux tome as sweat dripped from his head. Or was that blood? He couldn't tell and frankly at the moment, he didn't care. He opened his flux tome and glared at Black Wolf. He held his hand out and fired dark energy at Black Wolf. Dawson swore to himself as he saw the shot miss, but thankfully it didn't hit the young archer that Black Wolf was pursuing. Dawson then prepared to fire another Dark energy blast at Black Wolf. With a glare, he then yelled out "I told you Black Wolf, It's me that you want! Not them! Neither you nor Draco will harm another soul again!" he yelled as he fired another dark energy blast at Black Wolf, this time nailing him right in the back, causing him to stumble and fall.
Dawson then ran right at Black Wolf as he glared at him. Black Wolf merely just chuckled weakly as he weakly lifted his head. "Well...what are you...waiting for? Finish...me off...would ya? I...don't have...all day..." Black Wolf laughed weakly as he spit up blood, almost hitting Dawson in the face. Dawson gripped his Flux tome as he glared at Black Wolf. "You and Draco ruined the life that I once had, ruined the life Bee had, ruined the lives of many others before us, and now you almost ruined and ended the lives of these people here...I will not let you or Draco continue any further...We will end you!" Dawson said grimly.

What am I doing?
...
I can't believe I'd leave myself open like that. It doesn't matter that this 'Black Wolf' has a regal weapon. I know better.
Ito was tossed to the side as the impromptu trio's newest enemy ripped his axe from Ito's sword. He had been off balance and winded from his earlier exertions and having to take the brunt of Black Wolf's attack, so this was a sort of 'last straw' that finally robbed him of his standing position as he fell prone.
I guess this is it, then...
I've always wondered what the afterlife would look like, if there is one. Will I see Luci again? Will we remember each other?
Ito braced himself, closing his eyes as his mental preparations for death were nearly complete. He waited silently, his breathing fell shallow as he lay motionless. The sound of silence seemed to reveal itself to Ito's ears as a bone chilling stillness overtook every fibre of his being; but only for a minuscule piece of his time.
It would seem life had not finished toying with him yet. The archer girl struck home in both word and deed, her first arrow sailing true and was followed by a snide remark. Ito's eyes flicked open as their common enemy began thundering towards Lunie, who in turn accepted his advice. Ito, unwilling to give up, stabbed the tip of his blade into the soft dirt, using it as a crutch. The instant he stood with his weight balanced on the blade, it snapped. Ito fell over again with this second shift that caused his loss of footing, but this time he didn't bother looking up.
He'd given up, just like before. Only this time, he wouldn't be the first to die. He knew he'd let Lunie down, but what could he do? Fear began to strike precariously at his heart, his resolve quickly fading as despair sank in.
This is it. The only thing worse would be if Black Wolf left me be after slashing Lunie down. She had so much life ahead of her, it would seem.
I can't believe I've let another person down. I swore I wouldn't, but here I am. Overpowered, weakened, hopeless.
Ito never heard Black Wolf get knocked to the ground, he never heard Dawson's statements to the heinous warrior.
He only lay still, lost in thoughts and all alone.

The archer’s lungs ached as she pushed herself to her limits, fleeing from the malign fighter that thundered after her. Her frantically grasping fingers finally managed to retrieve an arrow, which was a relief as even with adrenaline pumping through her she was beginning to slow. Her sides felt like they were splitting, her legs were turning to jelly, and she knew if she continued at this pace she would certainly collapse. It was a deadly gamble, but Selunae skidded to stop, pivoting on her heel to turn back to face Black Wolf. As she did so, she set the arrow to the bowstring and thrust the bow forward, drawing it taut in the process. Wide-eyed and out of breath, she was genuinely surprised to immediately see her opponent tumble to the ground. It was admittedly disappointing to not see Ito standing triumphant over him, but rather Dawson leading the charge.
Despite earlier occurrences she didn’t feel any inclination to attack the shaman, lowering the bow. The arrow remained nocked, just in case, but it was no longer drawn. Black Wolf didn’t seem to have the strength to stand, which afforded the huntress a sigh of relief. She hadn’t seen what happened, but she could only assume it was whatever it was Dawson does with that big book of his. Listening to the fallen villain’s request for a merciful death, she almost pitied him. She silently shook her head, giving a glance to Dawson as the tome-wielder began delivering his response. It seemed that he, too, had a much harder life than her, a detail that she tried to quickly push out of her mind.
Black Wolf wasn’t interested in conversation though, only in ending or being ended. With great effort, he pushed himself up suddenly from the ground, propping up on the regal axe. The strenuous effort was his undoing though, as it left him without the strength to stand. Instead, he wobbled and teetered as he hefted his weapon over his head. This last act of bravado wasn’t without merit though, as whichever way the momentum took him, Dawson or Selunae would be in immediate danger of being taken out with him.
Both Selunae and Dawson were ready though, and as if by reflex alone, Selunae had drawn and released the arrow, nearly pointblank into her foe’s chest as a bolt of dark magic exploded into him from the other direction. With a strained grunt, the fighter staggered backwards, collapsing for good this time. He gasped and gurgled with shallowed, pained breaths. Then disturbingly, to Selunae at least, he began to laugh madly, intermittently broken up by gurgling and coughing up blood.
“My... death.. means nothing! Ye’ll... wish.. for... a quick... death.. before.. Draco.. is...” Black Wolf never finished that sentence. His final breath was that of a man freed from a terrible burden. He died staring into the open sky, liberated at last from a life of dark servitude.
Selunae glanced to Dawson, still short of breath and gasping, and then to Ito. Noticing he was still sprawled on the ground, her concern grew and she strolled to his side slowly while she recovered from overexertion. He seemed unhurt but distant, as if he had retreated into his own secret world. It wasn’t quite the same situation, but she handled it the same way she handled the frequent times she had caught Deen napping by the river, and that was by promptly taking a seat on him.
“If yer just gonna lay here like a log, I’mma treat ya like one,” the huntress remarked with a smirk, giving a sidelong glance down to him before turning her attention to the shaman. “So, umm.. Dawson? What’s goin’ on with creepy axe guy, here? No funny stuff or the log here’ll, well.. Ito’ll do somethin’ I’m sure.”

Dawson breathed a sigh of relief as he saw Black Wolf finally die. Thats...one less minion that we'll have to worry about from Draco Dawson thought as he collapsed on his knees in exhaustion. This was only ONE of Dracos many minions that he could send at him and Bee.
He lifted his head as he slowly wiped the sweat off his head when the young archer asked about Black Wolf. "Ok...it's time that I told you the whole story..." Dawson said in between breaths. "That was Black Wolf...hes one of the minions that is after me and a friend of mine...The group their with...their not good. They ruined our lives...we managed to escape from them years ago, but it wasn't until recently that one of them found us...Black Dog...Hes much stronger than Black Wolf that's for certain, he even..." Dawson paused and sighed. He still felt some guilt from the death of the Thunder Mage back in Illia. He knows that it isn't his fault, but he still can't help but feel guilty. Perhaps if he didn't show up there, he'd still be alive. "...Well he isn't a good guy. Their under the command of a Druid named Draco Guro. I...was Dracos right hand man in the past, but after seeing...what he was doing, with disgust, I left him and swore that I would bring his end...So anyways, I joined the resistance in Illia to mostly hide from him while my friend left for someplace far away. I don't know where she is now, but she did say that she was going to head to Vinland...
Dawson sighed as he closed his flux tome, creating a muffled sound of the book closing. "I'm sorry that you two were targeted...I meant for none of this to happen...I did not want to involve innocents in my problems, but it seems that Draco cares not about getting them involved... he said, trying to hold back a slight sob.

Ouch.
The air was pushed from Ito's lungs involuntarily as the huntress sat down rather forcefully on his back. At least, Ito hoped it was her. The sound of Lunie's voice confirmed his suspicion, but Ito laid still and quiet as the girl asked about the shaman's background. Ito wanted to know more as well, so he stayed put while listening intently to the story of that Draco fellow. The shaman seemed upset, and underlying tone suggesting he was nearly prepared to break down in tears for a while.
"Dawson," Ito's voice was slightly muffled as his face was pressed into the ground, "I am pretty dang far from innocent - don't worry about dragging me into this for but a few minutes. Sure, I need a new sword now, but it's been a long time coming, just like my demise would've been had you two not ended Black Wolf... You did end him, right?" Ito had just assumed their success in the bout against Draco's minion. He hoped he was correct, as it would come as a major shock that the two were just casually chatting while the axe wielding warrior was still alive and kicking, or rather, chopping and hacking.
"Random brigand attacks seem to be all I'm good for right now, so it's probably a good thing this all happened." Ito pulled his right arm out from under Lunie, using it to prop up his head so he could clearly see the other Lycian. "At the very least, it taught me that I can't take direct attacks from unbreakable weapons with a shaped brick of iron, which is serevely underclasses in comparison.

Black Wolf was certainly dead. The huntress had mixed feelings about it, but in the end she appreciated the tranquility that came with the end of swinging axes. Of course, there was no question about his death being necessary. Any doubts were erased when the fighter made the choice to oppose them beyond having the strength to do so. His final words didn’t hold much significance for her. She didn’t know anything of Draco, and for all she did know, Draco might never even matter to her or her to him. He wouldn’t be able to link this back to her… would he? Selunae allowed that prospect to linger in her mind longer than she was comfortable with, but surely such a thing was ridiculous. Listening to Dawson explain about Black Wolf and Draco only added to her nervousness on the matter.
Then there was Ito. He seemed completely submissive to her impulsive admonishment, which was more annoying to her than anything else. Deen would have thrown her off by now, where this swordsman seemed to accept it as a fact of life. The huntress was too winded to get worked up over his refusal to move anyway. Nonetheless, she listened to Ito’s side of the conversation. She wasn’t sure, but she didn’t think Dawson meant the same thing as Ito did when he used the word ‘innocent.’ She kept quiet about it though, as she didn’t really have a point to make about it.
“Umm.. yeah. Black Wolf is...,” Selunae paused to think up a clever phrasing, but as such was not her forte, she abruptly finished with an awkward and underwhelming delivery answering Ito’s query. She quickly diverted attention from it by addressing Dawson immediately after. Well.. he’s dead. So, uhh.. is this Draco guy gonna be after me too now?” For Selunae, this issue was the elephant in the room. She truly had little to no grasp on how magic worked, or what could be done with it. Draco could literally be watching or listening to them right now for all she knew and it put her on edge. Perhaps he had manipulated Black Wolf through magic and had seen them all through the fighter’s eyes. Selunae shuddered at the thought, having no way to dissuade herself from such thinking. It didn't help matters that she was too afraid Dawson would confirm them to ask if such things were a possibility.
At last, Ito seemed to shift from underneath her, but only to make himself more comfortable. The huntress was no longer overly interested, but still shifted her weight to briefly apply more force as if to urge him reconsider his decision to not get up. Just as her small frame weighed on Ito, a sense that she may have somehow condemned herself hung heavy on her mind.

Dawson sighed as he looked at the young archer with tired eyes. "It's...very unlikely that...Draco will be after you or Ito. The only way he can know is dead...after all...the dead can't speak for themselves." Dawson said mentioning to the dead body of Black Wolf. He eyed the Regal Axe that layed beside the dead body. I can take that back for the resistance...someones bound to be able to use it. If not, then it can be something that can be sold Dawson thought. He then slowly got up and walked to towards the Regal Axe. He picked it up and placed it in his satchel. "No use leaving this here where a bandit can pick it up and use it again" Dawson said. Or have another of Dracos minions find it... he thought as well.
He looked back at Ito and the young archer and sighed. "Well...I wish that we could have met under better circumstances, but I don't know about you guys, but I feel weary after the bandit attack and almost getting killed by Black Wolf...I think it's time that I head off" he said with a sigh. He slowly got up and brushed the dirt off his clothing. "Perhaps, we'll meet again, and hopefully without having someone be after us" he said, trying to force a smile on his face. Dawson knew that he needed to stay positive, but he found it hard to remain positive after getting more people involved in his problems. He then turned away from them and waited, waited to see if they wanted anything else from him before he left.

Ito exhaled pretty sharply as the young huntress added pressure to his back. It was already sore enough, he wasn't sure why she was doing this. Thank goodness my armour plates give me some support against her force. Ito pushed himself up a little more, providing some resistance to the girl's attempt to seemingly squish him. Her light frame wouldn't be enough, though, which she would hopefully learn soon. Another deep breath in helped him relax, as he adjusted to this new predicament.
The shaman responded to the girl's question, which had been slightly appealing to Ito's curiosity. Then Dawson turned to leave, which took Ito by surprise a little. Do you really feel that bad about this? It's just another day, bud. Some pretty run of the mill stuff.
"There's no need to leave so soon, Dawson. In the shape you're in, it would probably be best to set up camp here; especially since you have half of an hour until dark, at most. Your best chance of avoiding death from another one of Draco's minions would be to stay in a group."
The myrmidon looked up at the shaman, his right cheek becoming red from the constant pressure of his head on his hand. "If you're so concerned about us being saved from Draco, Dawson, would it not make more sense to see that we make it through the night? Black Wolf said we knew too much and couldn't be allowed to live - how do you know his threats will go unfulfilled?"
