Everything still spun.
Not all the time. Just...every few steps. A little tremor of the earth, or was that just his legs? There was also a flickering of sunlight, and clouds seemed to come and go instantly...or were those just his eyes struggling to focus? Hah hah, probably the latter. He had hit his head on that tree branch, after all. Definitely not a great sign, but at least he could stand and walk.
Another good thing was that Siegmund's memory was intact. Running the events that led up to this predicament through his head seemed to help him a great deal. He had caught wind of a wyvern nest, near one of the mountains by his home village. After doing some investigation of his own, he convinced his friends to accompany them. It wasn't hard. Reina had an interest in the various fauna and flora of Elibe, of course she wouldn't pass up the change to see what was essentially Bern's national animal up close. Leif wanted to be a soldier, and capturing a wyvern was a worth while accomplishment to brag about. Hadvar just loved to travel, and had always wanted to hike up mountains.
...Of course, as ready and prepared as Siegmund had thought he'd been, things failed to go as planned. Leif had frozen up when they stumbled across the winged beast. Leif was the most physically impressive of the group, and Siegmund had sorely needed his aid in capturing the creature. Reina and Hadvar had missed the net, it landing on the wyvern's nest but NOT the wyvern in question.
And of course Siegmund's sword proved to be of little use when it batted him over the edge of the mountain pass with its wing. Seriously...he was lucky to have landed in thick brush rather than rock or solid earth. Very much so.
Of course he was also very disoriented. His brown and black clothes were a bit torn, and there was a notable bruise swelling on his forehead. Heading back to the mountain wouldn't do, so Siegmund instead tried to make his way out to the other end of these woods...

The road was pretty empty as Phi was currently walking along it with no real goal in mind. It had been a while since she actually came back to Lycia in fact. She still felt uneasy to come back here, but at least she was now a bit stronger than before when Ostia was destroyed. Probably still too weak to defeat the monsters that had attacked, but the little bit of training she had made definitly helped her build some confidance while walking down the path of her home country. Guess that's why she wanted to walk right now: try and overcome her own inner demons. It'd definitly take much more than that but at least it was a start.
The wind was blowing ever so slightly, making the bottom of her robes dance graciously as she kept a slow but steady pace on the road. The woods on her left reminded her of home in a way... Looking at each tree for a few seconds, she couldn't tell if what she felt was shame or nostalgia, both of the emotions were so mixed up she simply sighed and gave up trying to make sense of it. However, a sound made her pull up her head back towards the thicket. Was it a wild animal? Stopping her movement to try and hear it better, it felt as though somebody was walking towards her. Feeling some fear wash over her, she simply stood there until she saw the face of a young man slightly younger than her who definitly looked like he was not in good shape.
"Hey! Are you alright there? Hold on I'm coming." she said, letting her maternal instinct take over when seeing the bruise on his forehead. Walking towards him rather quickly, she stopped right in front of him which ade her notice that he was a bit taller than her. His tattered clothes definitly gave the impression he just came out of some kind of incident. A few nick and cuts but nothing that looked like an animal or a monster bite... Ugh, no time for questions.
"Umm.. Are you ok to walk or would you like me to offer you my shoulder? It'd be better if I at least bring you by the side of the road..." she said with a slightly shy tone.

Water would probably be pretty good, but unfortunately Siegmund had used up his water immediately after the incident. Both to clean his wounds and to quench his thirst, thus his skin was empty. He had failed to prepare food in case of an emergency. An...admittedly short sighted decision, but thankfully he wasn't too hungry yet. Just exhausted, and in varying degrees of pain.
Soon enough he heard a soft voice from a distance. Fearing the worst Siegmund's hand went to the hild of his sword, but he nearly stumbled backwards. He...wasn't exactly a trained swordsman, and his balance was still off, so attempting to fall into some sort of stance only resulted in him almost falling, period. He'd done enough falling to last him a lifetime, frankly.
Thankfully, on closer inspection, the woman that approached him didn't seem to be much of a threat. She wore plain robes and...seemed to have a similarly plain appearance overall? Was hard to work out when her face kept spinning and rotating...
“I...” Siegmund felt his knees wobble and, in a mix of frustration and bitter humor, let out a weak chuckle. “If you'd offer me your shoulder, I'd greatly appreciate that.”
Unfortunately Siegmund wasn't in much of a position to be more defensive or curious about this stranger. He was...in pretty rough shape. He likely needed bandages on his knees, head, and his left forearm. Uh, probably wanted something for his back, too. The pines and branches of the brushes he'd landed in had scraped him up pretty badly.
It was his head he feared the worst for, but given that he still had a clear memory, there was a chance he'd fully recover with rest and drink.
“I'm a little lost and...not in the best shape to try to get my wits about me.” He confessed, offering the young lady a small smile. Indeed, she didn't seem much older than he did.

"I can definitely see that... Come on then, we'll get you fixed up for now alright? Just lean on me until we arrive next to the road, don't worry about me. she said almost forcing his hand to her shoulder so that he could relieve his legs a bit. Just what happended to him? As they started walking, Phi was able to support his weigh pretty easily actually. Huh, guess she really did get stronger compared to her last visit to Lycia. As they walked back, she found a suitable place to stop next to the open road where she could least make him sit down without too much vegetation being in the way. "Alright, just sloooowly sit down. I'll get you healed in no time at all.
Saying those words almost made her sound like a cleric. Sadly, the boy would have to settle with regular medecine for now. As she pulled out all of her supplies from her backpack, she decided to take the bottle of elixir the head priest of her old church had thought her how to make. It was pretty much the same as a vulnerary in terms of healing capability however this one was meant to be drank and helped stop any kinds of infections on top of healing wounds faster than at the human body's regular pace. The shiny thick brownish liquid in the phial definitly smelled pretty vile, but it sure had saved her own life plenty-a-times. Pushing the bottle to his mouth, she made him drink a few gulps. "Alright good, now we can take care of the damage directly.
First starting with his forearm, she quickly started cleaning the wound of all the blood that had already dried up on the skin with a simple water-soaked towel. Talking about water, she also handed her waterskin to him to help resolve his probably mild dehydration.
"Now tell me, just what were you doing that you'd end up such a mess right now? Did somebody do this to you?"

Well, Siegmund could count his blessings he ran into such a kind soul. She was stronger than she looked, too, holding more of his weight than he expected. It certainly made walking a fair bit easier, even when the trees and grass before him resumed their tilting and swirling. Hah, it was amazing that he hadn't grown nauseous yet.
“Thank you...” Was all Siegmund said at first, sitting down on the area that the woman had led him to. He didn't want to impede...whatever process she was going to go through. Unless it turned out she was going to try and kill him, or something, but the odds of that seemed slim by this point. She brought a bottle of...something. It didn't smell great, and from what Siegmund could remember of Reina's ramblings, poison tended to not have a scent at all.
Granted she could have been wrong.
Either way he drank the concoction, forcing himself to swallow even as it threatened to repeat on him immediately. He brought a hand to his stomach and took a deep breath. Siegmund swore he could feel his entire body attempting to reject the liquid he'd just drank. “W-well then...that wasn't so bad...”
Yes, it was. He wasn't nauseous before but he sure felt it now.
Siegmund held out his arm as the woman began to clean his wound. Between sitting down for a moment and drinking that abhorrent concoction, Siegmund's mind actually began to focus properly once again. He started questioning the situation a bit more, like why this woman would so readily help him. Her robes...yet she had no staff. Could she be clergy? Or just a village healer? He had a few at his home, but none looked like her.
“Well...I did this to myself, in essence.” Siegmund started, with a touch of reluctance. He didn't really want to divulge the truth behind his situation. And in front of a woman, too. It certainly wasn't his proudest moment, and he didn't care to act all macho around females but...come on, it still sucked. “I had scaled up that mountain, beyond the woods, to try and capture a wyvern with some friends. It turned out...not to be the greatest idea.”
Seriously, what had he been thinking? He knew things at home were...bothersome. They still bothered him, even then as he thought about it. His rushed plan to capture a wyvern was a move of desperation that he'd convinced himself, and his friends, into believing was a good idea.
“Suffice it to say I've learned my lesson. Leave such things to those experienced...”

"Well I can definitly see that... Going against a wyvern is surely the fastest way to kill yourself... Honestly I can't even understand how capturing a wyvern could help you in any way. Were you simply doing it for the glory or something? Because if that's so, I'd have to say you're an idiot." she said that last part rather coldly. Actually this reminded her of when one of the children back at the orphanage would try something reckless like playing with wild animals or whenever they would play war with wooden sticks. Honestly she was surprised that a boy this old would actually lack that much wisdom to realistically think he could capture a wyvern... As she started to reach in her bag for a pair of tweezers she kept in her first aid kit, she talked to the young man as to distract him for what was about to come.
*Sigh* "But at least you learned a lesson because of it I guess... Anyways if that was just a lie, you're definitly gonna learn your lesson in a few instant. Also, sorry in advance."
Pulling out a nice piece of wooden shrapnel, Phi already knew that he would hate this thoroughly. "Don't move if you want me to do this quickly." Continuing to pluck all of the smalls bits of wood that had lodged themselves in his arm, she guessed that some sort of branch must've cut up his arm pretty deeply while at the same time breaking off and leaving little chunks scattered in his flesh. She even started to feel bad for him even if he did deserve it after attempting something so reckless. Maybe it'd be for the best if she asked him a question to try and make him think of something else.
"Forgive me, I realised I should have introduced myself... I'm Phi Isaacs, acolyte of St. Elimine. Could you also tell me your name?" She actually introduced herself with a very polite tone. Saying the name of Elimine apparently made her feel more dignified, explaining her more polite demeanor.

Siegmund's frown furrowed a bit as he listened to this woman berate him. Well...yes, it certainly wasn't his wisest move. Arguably the outright least intelligent plan he had ever decided to follow-through or enact. Wasn't too much he could say in response, given that she was treating his wounds...at least he hoped so, but he couldn't let her criticisms go completely unanswered. After all: he DID have a plan for the act. It just...fell through. Miserably.
“It was a risky endeavor, yes, but I did-” He was cut off when the woman yanked out a splinter from his arm. Siegmund winced and grit his teeth, letting out a hiss of pain, but thankfuly the sharp sting passed within seconds. “...Ow.”
Unfortunately it didn't end there. Siegmund's arms had a fair few splinters in each. None so large as to cause any serious damage, presumably, but if they weren't removed they'd likely wind up infected. And that would not be good. So Siegmund obeyed, keeping his arm steady as the woman continued to pull bark and wood from his flesh. Perhaps he wouldn't bother defending his actions...as much as he wanted to.
More importantly, the woman had a name now! Phi Isaacs. A member of the Eliminean Church, which was both jarring and a relief. It explained her willingness to aid him...as well as her ease at criticizing the decisions of others. Came with the territory of the clergy, it seemed. However, there...was not a great deal of worship for Elimine in Bern. At least as far as Siegmund knew. And certainly none around his village.
“Well met, Phi...sorry, Sister Phi.” That was what clergywomen were called, right? Siegmund wasn't entirely certain on that one. “My name is Siegmund.” The brunette shot the acolyte a polite smile. He couldn't exactly shake her hand as it were, but good manners were sure to keep in good favor with the lady.
“I must say I'm a bit surprised, though. I didn't think many members of the Church took pilgrimages through Bern...”

"Oh please, call me Sister Phi when I actually look old enough for it. I'd prefer to at least enjoy my younger years before being defined as an old nun in a church. Anyways I feel that the title of Sister is better deserving to women who actually spend most of their time praying instead of travelling like me." Honestly, ever since she lost her trust towards Kraft and the higher up of the church, her visits to actual churches have been pretty slacking, usually opting for personal prayer in the woods or simply in her inn room she's rent for the night. She didn't feel comfortable going to the churches of Elimine knowing Etruria was responsible for the destruction of her church and the death of the orphans she raised. Simply thinking about it brought up multiple question she didn't want to ask herself right now. Existantial crisis could come later when she was alone or with somebody she actually knew.
After hearing the boy mention his surprise about her travelling, Phi showed a confused expression: "Bern? Siegmund, I'm sorry to say this but we're in Pharea right now. Did you forget how long you walked on your own in these woods?
Thanks to that worrying comment, Phi quickly finished bandaging up his forearm to take a loo kat the brown haired youth's head. Observign his newly formed bruise, she saw that most definitly was not enjoyable. She decided to try and see if he was concussed, because if so her first wouldn't be enough to cure him.
"Try to remember what happened during the fight with the wyvern you mentionned and after that. Try to put it all in order inside of your head and tell me if you forget something. I just need to make sure if your cognitive skills are intact."

Siegmund listened carefully as Phi replied to him. Really, he hadn't expected such detail in her response. He could hypothesize quite a bit about her, from her basic world view as well as how she viewed herself. All he'd done was call him by the title she has likely earned, whether she believes so or not.
...But before he could comment further and get to learn a bit more about his makeshift nurse, he was hit with a far more pressing concern: that he was in Pherae. Really, it wasn't all THAT shocking. Pherae was just on the other side of the mountain he had scaled. Still, Siegmund hadn't expected to have fallen over the border outright...
Damn, unfortunately this meant he'd need to find a way through the mountains in order to return home. It also meant that he was farther from his friends than he'd thought. No doubt they were worried about him, and if too much time passes his family will start to worry as well. This was certainly not an optimal situation for the young man.
“Pherae, hmm...” On the other hand, this was technically Siegmund's first visit to a foreign land. Even if it was one that had neighbored his home all his life. Before he could muse further, Phi seemed to be concerned for his mind. Reasonable, given the bruise he'd sported from that tree branch. But he didn't think his mind had suffered too much damage.
“Before I regale you with this tale, I should point out that my home is not too far from the mountain I had scaled. I haven't wandered THAT far from home, really, so it was reasonable for me to believe I was still in Bern.”
Of course that little explanation was only to partially delay having to go over the exact details of his failed mission with Phi. Frankly he'd told her enough, and wasn't exactly keen on further embarrassment. Really, this story made for a terrible first impression. Plotting a risky plan was one thing, but he'd need to keep in mind that he'd suffer more than just physical wounds should similar endeavors fail in the future.
His ego would take a beating as well.
Siegmund gave Phi a reassuring smile and sat up straight. “If that little answer was insufficient, then I apologize. But I assure you my...cognitive skills are fine.” Not a common word, that one. Phi was well-learned it seemed. Siegmund was lucky a bookworm was one of his closest friends, and that he had the wisdom to read nearly as much as she did. “Besides, it wasn't much of a fight to begin with.” He added with a light chuckle, hoping to wave off further discussion of this matter with a joke.
No, Siegmund was frankly more interested in Phi than he was in sharing the story of his greatest failure. “And, for the record, I have to disagree with you. If a title such as Sister goes to those who simply pray, then one such as yourself, who travels the land, so quick to help a stranger, deserves an even greater title. Elimine and prayer are not tending to my wounds: you are.”
And he meant it..which surprised even him. Siegmund hadn't expected to feel so passionately on the subject. He supposed he didn't like the idea of taking away the actual accomplishments of another human. Prayer should not be regarded as a greater deed than the act of saving another person. Elimine should not take the credit for the work that Phi did.
Philosophical views aside, Siegmund wasn't certain he would be so quick to help a stranger, wounded and dazed as they stumbled out of the woods. What if Siegmund had been ravaged by some beast and caught a disease? What if whatever had injured him was hot on his trail? Either Phi had thought solely on helping the poor soul before her, or she understood the risks and was willing to chance it regardless.
It was quite admirable.

Wait he was Bernese? Even if he lived right on the border, he was still ways from home. Phi decided to start cleaning the bruise a bit. After there wasn't a whole lot she could do, head bruises of that kind could only be healed with time and rest, the concoction she had made him drink would also promote the healing naturally. As he mentionned one the fight was pretty one sided, Phi couldn't help but laugh softly at his story. Actually, she never really did have any kind of "stupid teenager moments" like that. She had to mature quickly because of the orphans she had helped raise back at the orphanage. She felt a bit jealous in fact, considering she, in essence, had lost the opportunity to have such experiences. Surprisingly enough though, Siegmund was rather polite and well-manered for a boy who had thought at one point that capturing a wyvern was a good idea. It was nice to have a change of pace form the regular villager who normally had quite a foul mouth.
When she finished wiping off his forehead of dirt and a bit of blood, Sieg told her how her actino were much more virtuous than those of a sister. Phi didn't know how to take the compliment as her face turned slightly red. I'm not doing anything special, I'm just a regular acolyte of Elimine, I don't deserve this kind of praise...
"O-oh, ummm... thank you Siegmund..." were the only words she could think of as she looked down at the ground ,not sure what to do. "I'm going to need to take a look at your back now, it seems pretty bad." Well, at least now she had a way out of this embarassing situation, as she turned around him to face his back, she helped him take off his shirt so she could see how bad the damage was. Unsurprisingly, it was a pretty big mess. Pouring her water canteen on her rag, she carefully started to clean all of the small cuts and bruises. She really hoped that this would be enough to save him the trouble of getting an infection before reaching the nearest town for actual treatment. Making sure to clean the rag and remove the excess blood off of it, she made slow but respectable progress on his wounds, she wanted to make sure the job was properly done... Also she might've been slightly stalling because of that compliment from earlier... Compliments were definitly not soemthing she was used to so receiving one made her feel quite lost in fact as to how she should actually react.

Oh dear, it seemed he went and flustered the poor woman. Siegmund hadn't exactly intended as such, he was merely continuing the conversation...while also deflecting Phi away from asking about the wyvern. Well, at least that aspect of his strategy had been successful. Though in retrospect his brief speech had been a bit too intense, at least for someone he'd just met.
Now that he thought of it, that was a minor flaw that Siegmund had always struggled with. Intensity. He'd been told it sometimes made others feel he was unapproachable. Perhaps he was too driven? Or perhaps that he knew where he stood on some issues and he held those positions strongly...Siegmund wasn't really sure. He'd honestly never thought about it before.
In regards to Phi, though, unfortunately he wasn't left with much to continue on with. Further more, the quieted acolyte had begun to treat his back. There was a stinging soreness to the cleaning and application of the bandages, but the sensation was still soothing compared the uh, borderline agony he had felt earlier.
Siegmund straightened his back to make things easier on Phi, while he pondered about where to take the conversation. Granted he wouldn't mind silence, but it was...a bit of an awkward situation. There was the risk of Phi asking about the wyvern again...and there was the even more troublesome fact that Siegmund was a hormonal teenager who had a woman touching his body.
The less spent thinking about that, the better.
“So how have you come to Pherae, Phi? You know of my arrival, but you made it sound as though you aren't a local.” It was either ask more about her or start talking about himself, but Siegmund never liked the idea of showing his hand first. Maybe a bit paranoid, but as far as the youth was concerned, that tendency could save his life one day. Or his pride, like it did today.
“My guess would be Etruria. The Church of Elimine is quite integreal to Etrurian society, is it not?”

God he had talken quite a beating, that was for sure... As she continued to patch up the multiple cuts on his back, Phi was hoping that she didn't look too strange not talking. She was still a bit embarassed even still so just staying quiet was fine. She had cleaned multiple wounds (maybe not one of this size) so it was almost second nature to her. After a while, Siegmund decided to break the silence by aslking where she came from. Phi was glad he wasn't trying to bring back the whole "compliment" thing, so she was fine with answering this question instead.
" Oh no, there's no Etrurian blood in my veins. I used to live right next to Ostia, there was a small humble church of Elimine in my village so that's how I became an acolyte. Of course this isn't so much the case anymore ever since... Well, you know." Talking about the event was still hard for her, she had lost everything that day. Shaking her head quickly, she decided to not start thinking about it. Everytime she started thinking about the faces of the children, the watergates would open for hours on end. "Anyways, I guess it HAS been a year or two since I came back home. I did lots of travelling in Sacae and Bern for the most part. Who knew that you'd be the first person I meet back in Lycia? she ended with a happy tone. At least she was good at staying positive and not thinking too much about the past. It still hurts, but she was getting better at ignoring it. Somehow that made her feel both better and worse at the same time...
" Is this your first time in Pherae? Because if so then I guess you can at least say not a lot of people have been able to experience it the way you have... she said with a light tone, trying to make his situation more funny in retrospect.

Oh good, she was talking again. The situation would have gotten very awkward if she had stuck to her silence.
Phi was fairly adept at her work, clearly. Her lack of a staff meant she wasn't the typical healer, but her knowledge of first aid was still more than satisfactory. Siegmund didn't feel any of his scrapes or cuts get too agitated when she treated them. There was stinging, yes, occasionally strong enough to make him wince...but it was never to the point where he could tell she definitely made an error. The last thing you wanted to hear from someone treating your wounds was “Oops”, after all.
“I see.” Was Siegmund's initial response as he mused on her answers. So she was Lycian then, simply signed up with her local church and became an acolyte in the service of the great St. Elimine. A lovely little story, though a touch disappointing. Siegmund would have liked to ask her about Etruria, but it didn't sound like she'd know much more than he did. The nation was one that had many a rumor surrounding it, and even Siegmund had heard a few circulating about his village.
“Your pilgrimage has taken you quite far. Bern is not easy to travel through, though with the rebellion won it has begun to become safer along the roads.” Less worries about stumbling across a skirmish between two armies and all. Eventually guard patrols would wind up back on the roads, and Bern would no doubt send their military throughout the land to clear out the monsters that had made their homes in the mountains.
And Siegmund hadn't been talking about wyverns. Of the two winged beasts that lived among the peaks, wyverns were by far the least threatening...
“Unfortunately all I know about Sacae is that her plains are vast, and her people are honest.” A ludicrous stereotype. Siegmund did know one more thing about Sacae: that its people were divvied up into a myriad of tribes. Not all tribes would share the same creed, and if Sacae had a united creed so strong that all tribes obeyed, then why would they remain separated? Further still, not all humans were the same. Even if raised under a culture that enforced honesty and honor over all else...surely at least some would rebel, for many a different reason.
The world could not be so black and white, and Siegmund preferred it that way.
“But yes, this is my first time in Pherae. Or anywhere outside of my home village, I'm afraid.” Siegmund replied with a small chuckle, shelving his musings for another time. “And indeed. This truly has been an unexpected journey.” Well, rather, the journey was yet to begin. Siegmund would have to make the trek home when he could.
“And how about you? Now that you've come to your home country, do you plan on returning near...” ...Ah, that was a slip up. Siegmund had nearly forgotten what had become of Ostia.
“...My apologies. Do you plan on returning home, then?”

The first time out of his village? Boy, what a way to leave if that was true. Phi's first steps out of her home town was much more... depressing and scary, althought those adjectives only scratched at the surface of what those events were like. Leaving her home out of necessity and leaving everybody else to die was still something she wrestle with in her head up to this day. Man, that boy was definitly good at accidentally making think about those days. Not only that but the way he spoke almost reminded her of one of the more polite child at the orphanage.
He then asked Phi about her plans about if she would stay in her country for now. Sighing softly, she thought about what to say before deciding that confiding in him wouldn't be that much of an issue. "To tell you the truth I don't think I can ever go back there. Just being on the border of Lycia brings back painful memories about my own shortcomings. If I ever want to come back, I still need to become stronger. I travel Elibe training and waiting for the day I'll be able to become strong enough to pay my debt I owe to those which used to rely on me..."
Realising she was saying a bit more than she actually wanted to, she quickly finished up bandanging the last part of his torso before standing back up. Coming back around to look him in the eyes, she showed a small melancolic smile beofre apologizing to him: "I'm sorry about that. I don't need to dump my sob story on you. Let's put that aside for now, how do you feel? Is there anywhere I missed?
Looking him over, he seemed like every wound was taken care of but she still needed to make sure just in case. She'd hate herself if she had missed some kind of internal bleeding or injuries of any kind.

After Phi tightened up the last of his bandages, Siegmund stretched his arms a bit to test how he could move in them. A bit stiff, but without any pain! Very impressive! Unfortunately Siegmund didn't really have an opening to give Phi a compliment on a job well-done. Possibly for the best, anyway. She hadn't taken his last compliment well.
Instead she spoke about Lycia giving her painful memories. No doubt she was actually AROUND for the destruction of Ostia, then...Siegmund had enough tact not to even think about asking her. However Phi expressed a desire that Siegmund hadn't expected at all: a desire to grow stronger. Given she was a member of the clergy, Siegmund had just assumed her goal was to pilgrimmage and help those in need...
Though, yes, strength was likely required to that end. At least some times.
“I see. I can relate to wanting to grow stronger, clearly. At least strong enough to not wind up like this after an encounter with a wyvern.” Siegmund gave a light chuckle. No, he didn't plan on hunting wyverns anymore, and he hoped Phi knew that. Last thing Siegmund needed was to be lectured. But indeed, he was sure that he wanted to become stronger. The issue was that Siegmund wasn't sure to what end. Just that he wanted...more. “But there's no need to apologize. It sounded like you needed to get some of that off of your chest. After all you've just done for me, the least I can do is listen.”
Siegmund looked up at her and met her smile with one of his own. “As for me, I'm pretty sure I'm fine. You treated every wound I was aware of and then some, so...” Just to be safe, Siegmund got to his feet and gave himself a good look over. Stray blood had been cleaned, and every cut he was aware of had been bandaged up properly. All he really could do was rest...food and water would be nice, as well.
“I could use a bed to rest in, though. Do you have any idea where the nearest inn might be?”
