( OOC: Hey! I'm relatively new here, but something I definitely wanted to highlight with Ariadne was the bond between her and her training Pegasus, Medea! I really want to highlight their dynamic, for future battles, etc. This is basically showing their first encounter! )
Crimson gaze wavers lightly as Ariadne sheepishly approaches the winged creature, a gulp evident in her throat as she examines the Pegasus placed before her; it seemed so much larger than she'd ever thought them to be up-close. There remained a feeling of intense excitement and joy in her heart, and the young, new recruit couldn't help but begin to beam at her new companion.
" Ah... So... Um... " The trainee falters gently, a hand lifted lightly to rest beneath her chin. Her frame was evidently shaking lightly, eyes averting with a gentle, awkward laugh.
" ... S-So. You're... My partner, correct? It seems the Gods have brought us together! " The Squire youth giggled lightly, outstretching a palm to the soft, ivory pelt of her new companion --
Only to be shaken off, followed by a disgruntled breath through its snout.
Ariadne pulled her dainty hand backwards, eyes widening as she couldn't help but gasp at the sudden retaliation from her thought-to-be partner. Lips purse, a deep sigh passing through them as Ariadne's resolve begins to waver. She'd worried over this outcome for days - what if the Pegasus she was paired with had a... difficult temperament? Scratch that, difficult was most definitely an understatement, judging by the way the animal seemed to almost scoff lightly, ears flicking and wings folding as it trotted over a few meters, shooting snarky glances at her. It almost felt... intimidating, if she was to be honest; although, it certainly gave her the motivation to keep going. This Pegasus was not just an animal --- it undeniably had an attitude, and she knew that if they were to survive the battles that inevitably ensued in the future, they'd have to co-operate.
Even if she was pursuing her dreams, this was most certainly going to be a difficult ride.
