Hel visibly turned her head away from Aria when she called her cute. "Now now, she meant that in a good way. I think you're cute when you're playful but that doesn't mean you aren't also BEAUTIFUL!" With a hand blocking his mouth Angrim softly spoke to Aria, "She prefers to be called beautiful." He shrugged and just watched Aria work.
Hel looked Aria in the face as she made her approach. Her back arched slightly in a menacing way but when she put her fist out the wyvern slowly relaxed and sniffed before pressing her head gently against Aria's hand. "Well well well, you certainly have a way with her. Zael still gets tossed around when he approaches unprompted." Angrim praised Aria for doing what any good rider knows, but still, he had to admit Hel WAS quick to warm up and that was unusual.
"Her name is Hel. After a figure from some old folk stories my folks used to read me and other villagers as a kid. Said to rule over death itself and yet a stunningly beautiful woman. She bit me first time out of her egg so I figured such a BEAUTIFUL," he stressed the word to appease his mount, "Wyvern such as her deserved a name for something that was still a terror. Kind of childish but I still like it."
He turned his attention to Chewy then. Yeah, maybe Hel was a much more sophisticated name when faced with that alternative, but it was kinda cute he thought. "Chewy right?" Angrim approached slowly and turned his head away while lowering it with an outstretched hand.

"I am sorry to have offended you Hel. You are a beautiful wyvern. Gorgeous even." She smiled softly. Aria gently stroked the black wyvern's side. Part of her hoping she'd find the one spot she'd like to be petted.
"Aw, see I wish five year old me was creative with mythical names. Chewy got her namesake cause she liked to chew on things. And I mean everything. The wood fence, my clothes, her mom's tail, the training dummies, hay, grass.. if she could find a way to fit her tiny mouth around it.. she'd be chewing it." Aria spoke to Anigrim while still making eye contact with Hel. Aria was absolutely smitten with this wyvern. Her eyes examined her for any sort of abnormalities. But, she couldn't find any. Her scales were shiny and healthy. Her eyes were clear and bright. Her posture was good. A whole lot of love went into raising this girl and it showed.
Chewy sniffed Angrim's hand for a moment. She let out a huff through her nostrils. Then lightly batted the man's hand upward so that it landed on her snout. Right in the in-between part of her nostrils. She tilted her head downwards slightly so she can get a good look at Angrim's eyes. She knew this was the same man from yesterday, but he didn't quite have the strong scent of another wyvern on him them. Aria stopped petting Hel for a moment, she turned her head to watch Chewy's reaction. The brick colored wyvern then took another breath inwards, and let it out in a bit of a sigh. After a bit of a tense moment, she gently rubbed her snout on his hand.
"Huh, she normally doesn't take that long to get along with people. She's probably a bit intimidated by Hel here. But, she's accepted you. Her sweet spot is under her chin. It makes her tail tip wriggle."

Hel eagerly took the scratching with a thumping of her feet and playfully bouncing around. Perhaps a touch dangerous given her size but not intentionally so. Being called beautiful had also put her back into a much more chipper mood.
"Well, creative or not it sounds like it was an appropriate name." Pause, "Wait, five!? You two have been together quite a while then. Hel hatched when I was fourteen." When Chewy allowed Angrim near he had to wonder if there was just something off about him that wyverns did not like. He thought he was a nice enough guy but maybe not... unless it was Zael rubbing off on him! That was some rightly cursed luck it was.
"Under the chin huh? Hel is the same way!" He proceeded to give Chewy a scratch under her chin. "OH! I should warn you though, if you do she's liable to just lie on top of you!" He shrugged, "I don't know why, she just does that." Her idea of a hug maybe?
"So, what did you have in mind for today exactly? Since we both have our wyverns I imagine meeting at the tow gates was little more than a formality?" He could be wrong and the two go off into town for this and that but she seemed far too interested in the wyverns to go leaving them behind so he suspected she wanted to do something with them. "If you wanted to fly I do know some nice areas around her that only a wyvern can find."

"Yeah. Been about.. what.. twenty years? Maybe a year or two less. Chewy's practically an adult wyvern with the mentality of a teenage girl." Though she didn't like it too much. Her comment did give away her age. She hoped that didn't put Angrim off. It certainly unsettled her family to some extent. She could hear the comments in her head "an unmarried twenty-something. An old maid!" She shook her head slightly and refocused her attention on Hel. Aria smiled at Hel's gesture of genuine affection. She didn't do the chin thing yet. Aria didn't want to get squashed by Hel, even though she was used to Chewy doing the exact same thing on a nightly basis. The wyvern loved to curl Aria under her wing or in between her front two feet. Chewy treated Aria like some sort of wyvern teddy bear until Aria trained her not to by wearing her armor to sleep. Although that didn't stop the wyvern from trying an entirely new way of ruining her night.
Chewy was enjoying the attention though. When Angrim rubbed her chin she let out a sort of cooing noise. She pushed her face closer towards the male rider and rubbed her chin and face into his neck and chest. Aria turned around to witness this.
"Careful... Death by nuzzle is not a way you want to go." Aria chuckled slightly.
"Let me go help him." She turned to address Hel, before bowing slightly. She picked her head back up and went back to Chew's side.
"Alright, ya big ham. That's enough." She gently tapped the wyvern's neck and Chewy stopped. She backed up a bit let out a huff through her nose.
"Well, I have some errands to run in town. Shopping and orders to drop. I only agreed to meet here cause it felt okay. If you don't mind waiting some more once I'm done with my responsibilities, I'll take you up on that flight offer. It's been a while since Chew and I just flew around our hometown and just take in the sights."

Angrim was impressed that Aria had been with her wyvern for twenty years. It was an incredibly long time to foster their bond and he was impressed. He and Hel had only been together for thirteen years by comparison. It was still an impressive timetable but she had seven years over him. As for her age, he did not care much about it; he never bothered to even do the math, he was too caught up with Chewy's antics.
As Aria bowed to Hel she reared back and lowered her long neck in turn. The show of respect did not go unnoticed to the wyvern.
"Errands huh?" Angrim appeared to mull over Aria's words but he never actually considered them. He saw no reason to think on them for long. "Right then, I see no issues with a few chores getting done. In fact I would be happy to help you out if you'll have me. Need anything carried?" He hoped he wouldn't regret making his offer. He glanced at Hel who stared back longlingly.
"She agreed to go flying, she just has a few things to do first you needy lizard." Hel growled and barred her teeth in response. "Alright, you beautiful, needy lizard." She crouched and slowly shifted her body toward Angrim to which he simply held out a hand. Hel pressed her head into his hand and immediately calmed down. "She'd never hurt me, but she does put on a convincing show when she wants something doesn't she?" The truth he wouldn't mention was how she had nipped his hand a few times in the past when she was actually mad.
Finished with the wyverns he gave his full attention to Aria. "What comes first?"

"First thing's first then." Aria spoke as she brought herself back up on Chew's saddle. She needed to make a few deliveries. Chewy was saddled and had two medium sized saddle bags on her left and right side. These bags were full of little satchels of various stuff the ranch was capable of producing. On one side bag was full with various wyvern products. Mostly dung, fallen scales, and clippings. Stuff the apothecaries can use. The other bag was full of food stuffs. Aria knew which bag had to go to what person and which order to do it in to avoid contamination. And if she forgot her mother gave her a convenient list. She was also supposed to shop for some essential things the home needed. Mom wanted some fabric for a quilt. Dad needed some bees wax. They were also in need of a new ax to chop wood.
"Need to fly out towards the apothecary." She gave Chewy an affectionate pat on the head.
"You remember where that is right? Remember. It's Wayland's place. He likes to give you those scraps with the tumeric." Aria explained. Chewy almost instantly perked herself up at the mention of tumeric scraps. She knew where to go. She remebered old Wayland's store and where she had to land. She gave two stomps and then launched herself upwards. She hovered over Hel and Anigrim.
"It's thataway." Aria pointed. In a specific direction. She then tapped her heels on Chewy's body and the wyvern flew over the town. She flew over the entirety of the market place and landed at the very end. To a building that had rooftiles and several colorful bottles hung on string as part of it's sore front. Chewy landed behind the building. She gave a celebratory roar. It was loud enough to alert the store owner of her presence.

Angrim quickly hopped into Hel's saddle and strapped in for the trip. 'I thought we were making deliveries in the town, not traveling by air.' He wasn't complaining within his head but he did get the wrong impression for certain.
He watched as Aria told Chewy where to go and was mildly impressed by the wyvern's ability to follow its stomach so well. He grinned thinking about how it must have been training the beast. He pitied Aria ever so slightly thinking about the hassle it probably caused her. And then Aria and Chewy were off, flying overhead and up. No warning but he was prepared, "Come on Hel, let's show them that we won't be outdone."
Hel reared back and kicked powerfully off the ground and into the air. She quickly flew in an attempt to stay ever so slightly ahead of Chewy. Not knowing where their ultimate destination actually was however Angrim made sure to pull her back. "It's always fun to see towns and cities from above. It makes everything so much smaller all of a sudden, and its much harder to get lost."
It wasn't a long flight, not that he expected it to be, before the two reached their destination and came in for a smooth landing. Hel decided to show off and did a twirl before descending behind Chewy. "Alright, you showboater, hate to break it to ya, but you aren't actually showing anyone anything." he patted her neck.
"So you not only raise and train the wyverns but supply the apothecary as well. Sounds like a lucrative business you have there." Angrim leaned forward and waited to see what came next. He was ready to hop down and help but he may not be needed to.

"This particular apothecary has been doing business with my family for generations. In return we get tonics and stuff at a reduced prices. They make stuff for both people and wyverns." Aria explained. They flew over the rooftops of several houses and businesses, before Chewy let out a roar above a certain building at the far end of the market street.
A store worker poked his head out the window and let out a greeting.
"Oi! Aria!" The store owner waved for a moment before ducking back inside.
Aria wordlessly commanded Chewy to land. The brick colored wyvern guided herself towards the store owner's back yard and landed on the muddy ground with a gentle thud. She flapped her wings a few times before calming down enough for Aria to descend off her mount. Aria gently guided Chewy closer towards the back door. And then she went about rummaging through one of the saddle bags and pulled out her delivery items.
The store owner stepped out. He was an older gentlemen, round in the gut, and steadily balding. He was dressed in normal peasant clothes with a thick apron that had several stains and splotches of stuff.
"Haven't seen you in a year. I was expecting the twins to show up on old Bertie."
"Ah, yeah. I'm home for a few days at most. Figure i'd help out. I do have a companion with me today." She spoke and handed the man a sack full of wyvern clippings and shed scales. Then pointed out towards Anigrim and Hel.
"So, Where do you want the fertilizer?"
"You can drop it near the mulch pile."
"Dad wanted to know if you had the tonic to help with his gut."
"Yep. Also got the lavender oils for your mom. And your brother wanted a concoction before he set back out. Give me a bit to bottle and cork them." He nodded a bit before heading back inside. And Aria went out towards the mulch pile and dropped off the sack of wyvern dung.
