Ever since the tragedy that had befallen Ostia and the neighboring regions, it could be said that silver became a more expensive material than gold. Surprising, isn't it? What good can a few gold coins give you when silver is able of becoming what'll save your family from a mauthe doog or a revenant. Delthia knew this, and she also knew how to make a profit out of it. Luckily, she had heard from her underground connections about a smuggling group in Nabata said to specialize in weapon dealing. It didn't take an expert merchant to know silver was of course the top merchandise. She got excited just thinking about how much gold she could make by selling those silver weapons in Lycia. The demand for them was crazy, it'd be like selling hot cakes. She didn't even mind if she had to sell them at a lower price than whatever the leader of this group was receiving for them, it would still be plenty.
Thank god the people leaving nearest to him didn't seem to like him that much, getting directions was extremely easy. She also knew she was going to need more forces than just her two sisters of battle. All in all, she had been able to hire two pikeman, one axeman, an archer and two swordsmen. She just hoped they wouldn't be too greedy. Otherwise things might have to get a bit dicey when everything'll be over. The plan was simple, they would attack at night, the ground units storming the front while the three of them would come in from the opposite direction flying in. Everybody had gotten their orders while Delthia and her two partners were sitting by on their pegasi, watching the sun set over the arid landscape. Josephine noticed Delthia seemed particularly pleased as they were almost ready to depart themselves.
"Well this is pretty rare. I was sure this weather would be enough to put you in a foul mood."
She grinned, turning her head towards the tiny dot in the distance which was the smugglers' hideout. "Oh darling, the dry air is a small price to pay for the reward this will grant us. We'll soon be lining our pockets with the spoils of this battle."
Eleanor moved a bit closer to the other two, her pegasus' hooves sinking in the sand. "You should be more careful than that, you do realise we're probably at a disadvantage in terms of numbers, right?"
Closing her eyes, breathing in the air of Nabata already starting to cool, Delthia simply replied: "Has that ever stopped us before?"
Digging her boots in her mount's side, she signaled it take to the skies. The bandits would probably notice the mercenaries they had hired pretty soon, they didn't have time to lose with small talk.
Now was the time to pillage.

Time had grown long and his nights short. Lucius was exhausted at all times of the day and slept only on the most rare of occasions. That night he watched as the guards for his camp rotated in changing out with the old. It kept the camp guarded but no one would have the chance to become intimate with the camp beyond himself. He had become a recluse, a criminal, and his enterprise was falling weaker and weaker by the day. His biggest jobs were all falling into disarray and the assassins that contacted him had not sent him more work. Killing that wyvern rider was for nothing.
Lucius gritted his teeth and smashed the mask that infernal group had given him beneath his heel, the porcelain shattering and turning to powder against the ground. The man turned to his map of the continent, each corner held pinned by knives. He looked over his trade routes he once had marked and sighed. Crossing out a new blockade not only did his path to Illia fall to naught but so too did his path to Lycia's north. Etruria was winning the war, Illia should have been his main source of profit but no, bandits in Lycia had cut out his routes and monsters even more.
As Lucius tried to think of a new method, a new plan he hear the sounds of commotion outside. It was not just noisy, it was chaotic. "What in the blazing hells is going on out here!" Shouting Lucius emerged from his hut to find his base in open conflict. Who was it? Who discovered his location? Was it the filthy Lycians? A rival!? Did Durandon realize he had left him!? Roaring in anger Lucius pounced upon the nearest invader. Taken unaware the man was toppled to the ground. Raising his blade to defend himself Lucius kicked it aside and brought his axe down in a vicious display of gore.
"Who..." He chopped, "The F***..." He cut again, "Would dare..." He removed the mercenary's head from his body and took hold of it. "TO F*** WITH ME!!!?" He held the head aloft with his shout of rage. If someone wanted to fight with him they had best understand exactly what that meant.

Sounds of steel clashing and shouts of either rage, pain or fear could be heard from the camp. Delthia couldn't wait to see how well those peons were holding themselves. Yes, she wanted them to do well, but not too much as to start rebelling against the three riders.
Anyways, for now the first thing was to take down the archers. They wouldn't be able to last long while being shot at. Signaling the others to follow her trail and stay close, she made Aquilon dive towards the camp, low enough to be able to start their surprise attack.
One man in the camp however... Well let's just say his impressive show of violence definitely pointed as him being the alpha. Even her own mercenaries were spooked by his savage attack on one of their own. Seeing that she and her companions couldn't just let this fly hehe, "fly", the other two saw Delthia take out her axe and pointed towards the nearest archer. They knew the drill... As they flew over him to draw his attention while launching javelins on anybody they could see, he turned to try and get a clear show onto them. Of course, they were moving at pretty impressive speeds so it was nothing like a simple foot soldier. All of that gave Delthia alllll of the time she needed to line up her pegasus, take the dive, and swing with calculated force and precision as his head cleanly fell to the ground, making an audible thumping sounds as his now lifeless body crashed down from the wall.
Shaking the blood off her axe as she circled around the camp, she looked directly at the leader: "This'll be the only warning you get, surrender now and I might just let you go with only a few limbs missing!"
With a swift tug on Aquilon's reins, she was diving headfirst towards the man with an almost bloodthirsty look in her eyes. Aiming for his right, she prepared to swiftly aim for his shoulder and maybe sever it if she could. I do hope he gives me more of a fight. Killing him this easily would quite a bore...

The raid leader spoke up to reveal herself. Well, well, well, he had met plenty of women who were talented fighters but to see one willing to take him on and with such brutality? Now this was a new one for him. Regardless, woman or not it did not matter any to him, she was his enemy and she did not respect his authority and power enough to kneel. As she taunted him Lucius took the head he carried and swung it downward throwing it against the rocks with all the force he could. Whoever he killed would be rendered unidentifiable as their head smashed into the rocks. "Then come and take them!" He challenged.
The rider wasted no efforts in attacking him right away. What he would normally take as an opportunity to evade and cut deep was quickly something that revealed a deception. An axe? Well this was strange, he had never seen one of those frilly pegasus knights wielding an axe before. She came at him head on and swung for his right side. Normally he would wait for the lance to come close and then take hold of it to disorient or demount the rider but now he was forced to narrowly evade the blow.
"Urgh!!!" Lucius stepped away twisting his entire body trying not to get hit. It was a close call, too close. "Archers! Bring this B**** down!" he ordered. There were only two archers left in the entire camp but they took aim on the woman regardless. Lucius readied his axe, questioning how best to attack this woman. Why was a pegasus rider even this far from Ilia in the first place?

Barely missing her target, Delthia took up again to the skies. She made an audible "tsk" at the sight of his arm still not bloody. No matter, there was no way he would win, she had the high ground, quite literally wait no she's in the sky not on the ground.
As he barked the orders for her to be shot down, Delthia thought she'd fine with Eleanor and Josephine taking care of them, the two of them WERE expert pegasus knights... However she got surprised as an arrow went past Aquilon's head, nearly hitting him. The horse being rightfully spooked, she was just able to get back in control when another was shot from behind her, this time hitting right on the shoulder plate. She got extremely furious that she let two puny bowmen get her by surprise.
"Girls! Why are we letting those pesky archers live? They should've been your first targets!" They didn't reply but the way they moved showed they had both changed directions to attack the ranged combattants. In times of battle like, the three knew to respect Delthia's word. She had proven time and time again her ability to lead a group and apply smart strategies to overcome more powerful opponents. Looking back at the ruffian on the ground and the bandits fighting all around, it definitely seemed that he had a good control over them. It wasn't anything she could explain with words, but he "felt" like a strong leader... Well, weaker than her of course. Mister was soon going to lose his cute little base. Those silver weapons were hers!
Switching to her brave lance now that the element of surprise with her axe was sadly wasted, she gripped the weapon tightly before going back in for another charge. Going down at an extremely inclined angle, she dropped fast. Very. Fast.
As she got down to the last second, Aquilon quickly gave a strong flap with his wings, stopping them in their fall slightly while sending a strong air blast down on the man. Hoping that was a good enough feint, she once again got back into her charge, ready to rip into his flesh.

Hah! The rider's use of an axe may have taken him off guard for the briefest of moments but the fact she turned to her lance meant she was just like all the other riders he had faced before. This would be a simple matter for him to handle now. "Come on! Come get me rider!"
Just as the lance would come down to bare against Lucius he prepared to narrowly evade and then grab hold of it in an attempt the dismount the rider, but the narrowest of margins saved the rider and even gave her the combative edge. The moment Lucius moved to grapple her the beast stopped its decent and blasted him with a gust of wind, kicking up sand and debris at his feet blinding his one good eye while his follow through left him off balanced. All in all it was a very effective maneuver that would cost Lucius greatly.
When the rider took her second assault the attack was able to connect fairly cleanly. The lance punched into Lucius's back, striking against his right shoulder. Had there been more speed or had he not had leather armor there the fight would have ended in that instant. The blow however did send Lucius reeling, thrown forward into the ground where he had little time to roll and recover. He was completely toppled by the powerful assault. Never had he felt so supremely outmatched by a simpleton rider. Not even Durrandon had given him this much of an issue.
Pushing himself back to his knees he hissed and cursed at the pain he was feeling. This would take a while to heal, not to mention scar. But more importantly in this moment he right arm was too hard to move. He had to fight with his off hand now. His archers too had stopped firing. Why? The other pegasi riders had done them in that easily?
"D*** YOU! Who are you!?" Standing again Lucius held his axe in his other hand and straightened out. "Even if you kill me I swear I will take you with me!" and he meant it, patting his chest something began to glow faintly beneath his clothes. A mine set to explode should he die was now primed. "So, do you still dare to face me?" His face was bitter but wild.

FINALLY! The satisfying tug of muscles and skin on the lance head as she swiftly removed it, blood now staining both it's tip and the man's clothes. Standing on her black pegasus, now looking down at the wounded leader, a smile came across her face, reveling in the sensation of now possessing the upper hand. Looking around, a few had noticed their leader being brought to the ground which certainly didn't help their fighting spirit.
Seeing him being reduced to fighting with his off hand was also a nice sight to see. Really make him feel despair before it ends. However, what he did next was most certainly something Delthia couldn't even have dreamed of... Seeing what looked like a VERY real mine of his chest, Delthia's eyes widened, unsure if the man was the best damn bluffer in Elibe, or just insane. Probably insane. But insane people are more dangerous than bluffers. If she had to guess, the moment he'll feel like he's definitely lost, it'll be one big explosion as a last attack, killing her if she wasn't careful.
Gripping her lance, a glowering look in her eyes, she shouted back: "I hadn't expected you to be such an imbecile... No matter, you and only you will perish on this day, mark my words." Staring at the mine, she had to think of a way to stay out of the blast radius when it would blow up... Maybe a javelin to finish him off would work? Hmm... For now, she still had to fight. By the looks of it, he was still a threat, even without one his arms. Actually... He reminded her of a wild animal pushed into a corner...
She had to go back up to the skies for now. Hoping to move him out of the way for Aquilon to rise without trouble, she went in for a stabbing attack towards his hips followed by a sweeping blow. The pole itself wasn't particularly heavy thanks to the alloys used in it, but she still hoped that he wasn't dumb enough to get hurt even more.

He had her scared, she played a tough game but what fool would stare down a mutual destruction and NOT feel fear? Still, he had to give her his respects as she was actually willing to continue their battle despite, or perhaps in spite of what he had just revealed. He laughed about it filled with a malevolent glee.
Lucius was far too out maneuvered, if he was going to take an edge, no, the victory then he needed to find a way to ground her. Ripping her from her mount was already proven less than ineffective, his bleeding back more than attested to that. If she wanted to take back to the skies and come for him he needed to take the pegasus down itself. Its a shame to kill such a beautiful beast, especially so far from its land of origin, he could make a pretty silver penny selling it, even if it was a rebellious beast.
The woman took to the skies offering him the briefest of respites which he took to ready himself for her plunge. As the woman came charging he waited till narrowly the last moment before practically throwing himself aside. The woman's lance had almost taken him out by the legs. Now was his chance, as the beast blurred past him he swung mid leap trying to burrow his blade into the beast's flank. Dismount a dedicated rider and even the inferior warrior may just take home the victory. He wanted to see just how dedicated she was.
