Name: Emer Quaital
Class: Recruit
Age: 17
Born in: Sacae
Appearance:
Emer's appearance is something that most of the Sacae nomadic tribes could relate too. He has a head of dark black hair, his eyes are like emeralds that shine within the right light. Giving them a deep green appearance, almost like the grass that he lives upon. His outfit also pays homage to the earth goddess. With a set of dark green pants that extend down his legs, and a tanned hide armor on top, with a dark black undershirt. His breastplate is held together by some fur, leather, and small links of metal, and held tightly to his body by some leather straps.
His body could easily be assessed as slender, and toned. He isn't overly muscled, but it is obvious from his build, that he's no pushover in some regards. He has a chiseled face, that makes him appear older than what he truly is, but that is of little importance. He stands at a rather normal height for someone his age, which is around 5'10". Not exactly the tallest but he still has time to grow.
Personality:
Emer's personality is a fickle type of thing... To be polite about it he's a Scrooge in almost every sense of the word. He doesn't talk much, and he generally stays to himself. Mostly due to the upbringing of his tribe, the Quaital weren't known to be as friendly as they had been in the past, in fact, that almost seemed like a remnant memory for the elders in the tribe. As history is sure to repeat itself if they branched out towards the other nations that they had traded with in the past, wise thinking of course but also harmful.
Stoic: Ahh Stoic, this is a trait that is often related with Emer, as he doesn't allow anyone to see his true self. The man always has a straight-laced face. He is always seen with a serious look to him, one could almost call it a look of boredom. As he simply shows little to no emotion when communing with those, not from his tribe. Alas, it also comes from him being a man of few words, as he doesn't see the need to waste any time explaining his actions to another, as for him it would be a waste of breath.
Curious: Even though his outward appearance is stoic, and his words betray him... Emer is rather curious about others, in fact, the saying of curiosity killed the cat would be true in this case for Emer. He listens to others and also pays close attention to the details of their appearance as if they had been an alien that landed on the land. Others from his tribe have noticed the detail he puts into describing his travels, or the way he begins to describe an outsider that he had seen, even going so far as to mock their own personality and speech.
Judgemental: With his upbringing, there is only one thing that Emer can decide... And that is anyone from outside of his clan, is something that can't be trusted. With the constant reminders from the Elders and the tribe's solitude from the others, it was a mindset they've all grown up with. Thus leading to the decision that anyone from the outside was simply not to be trusted in any shape or form. Often leading to the judgemental process of labeling them as a dangerous threat, or perhaps an easy target to take down later down the road if need be. Every judgment is done with the tribes best interest.
Lone Wolf: As much as Emer loves his clan, there's one flaw about the man. He prefers to do everything on his own, s much so that he has been called a lone wolf. He even prefers to hunt on his own, which would often be a dangerous case for their tribe. In case they had been hunted down by the outsiders or had been attacked by the brigands in the area... It was dangerous for them to wander alone, but that's simply how Emer prefers to function and has been beneficial for the most part, as the hunts he brings home he gets to keep almost all of it... He still has to share once and a while.
Patient: With all of his training to hunt, and how to constantly study the path of a creature, or perhaps the trail of an outsider, without revealing himself. It has lead to the build-up of patience for the young man, something he didn't have in the past... Because well, who can blame a kid for having an abundance of energy, they are always bouncing off the walls, that is what kept them sane after all... But, as it is, Emer has the patience equivalent to the elders in his village, as he can stand there being yelled at for hours, and not even flinch or comment back, until the other is finally winded and coarse in their throats
Night-walker: Night-Walkers a tribal thing of his, where they feel more attuned to mother earth, and the sky goddess as the night skies are clear... This is also the most optimal time for the tribe to hunt, as it makes it harder for them to be spied upon, but also allows them to catch other animals that would be blind at night time. It made it easier to lead the poor thing into the traps set by the hunters, almost making their internal clockwork attuned to being up during the night, than during the day. Which often catches outsiders by surprise.
Tribal: The first priority in his mind, however, is to keep his village safe, there is no other objective, as the Quaital tribe is the base of his being, if it means it can be beneficial to his tribe, Emer will do anything in his power to keep it safe. Regardless of the outcome, he will stand by the decision of his Elders, as they had led them to prosperity after the betrayals of the past. Even though weakened they're able to continue to grow strong day by day... Something most take for granted in their everyday routine, as they've never seen the poverty of an entire tribe.
History: Born into the secluded tribe of Quaital, a full-blooded Sacaen child is given life too. His name was Emer, a child of two young parents, ones that had been a little too adventurous in their young age. Leading to a very unexpected but happily received child of their own. Prompting a rather emergent wedding of the two, it was kind of sprung upon everyone in the village, to keep their little secret hidden from the others prying eyes. As well, there is still the belief of being married before one is to bed a woman and vice versa, a woman should keep her chastity.
And it was believed that the goddess of earth and sky would bless those under the matrimony of their blessing. However, this wasn't the case for the young couple, as they had been blessed with a child beforehand. Not long after their marriage, it was believed that Emer had been conceived on their honeymoon, but that had not been the case, as he was born early... Way earlier than the villagers had intended, earning him the misgiving title of "Early Bird" a nickname that would stick with him throughout his entire life, something that wasn't completely true after all.
Growing up was a bit of a handful for the young Sacaen child as he had the patience of a boar... He was constantly running about in the village, often driving the elders themselves insane, at the constant energy the young man had. Being true to his nickname, his patience was also thin as he hated waiting around. Thus he never took the lessons from the others on crafting and hunting seriously. He would always make a game out of it, often getting called a donkey's arse in friendlier words. Something that was supposed to be an insult.
Emer also had a rather envious personality, as no matter how much trouble he got into, he was always watching the others reaction, he could remember things from weeks ago, and quote exactly what had happened, this was actually rather intriguing for the others, as it showed some promise in the child, as he paid attention to details even though he had been a troublesome aspect as a child. But by the time came around that he was getting into his teen, and being conformed to being a proper member of the tribe, his abundant energy had faded away.
Mostly due to the serious nature of the world outside of the tribe, he was warned, taught, molded... And eventually pounded into the right mindset, through the constant training of his fellow native Sacaen. He was being trained to be a hunter, something that would be beneficial to his trait to remember things. He wasn't allowed to be full of energy, after he learned the truth of what his actions caused, during one of his hunting missions due to his energy, he had actually gotten his father nearly killed by some bandits that roamed the area outside of their village.
Luckily the other tribe members had been around, to help them out of a bind, but it had caused the rest of them to be hurt as well... His father couldn't hunt anymore, due to the injuries he sustained due to his child's arrogance, along with the insufferable energy that was abundant in his body. But after that night, everything had changed within his mind. He was opened to the world outside of the tribe, the Bandits were the only outside being he had met in his life, had left a lasting impact with the tribe's mistrust of the other nations.
As a few more years passed, and his hunting abilities had improved, Emer was finally undergoing the trials to become a warrior for the tribe... Handing him a lance, amongst some earthen style armored, said to be attuned to the earthen mother spirit, he was brought into the tribe's warfare training. One that was built on a hit and run strategy, something they had to rely on for being such a small colony themselves, it was something that Emer had seen as a wonderful opportunity, as the number of rations his family would receive would be better than when he was a hunter.
Thus leading to the story that will now belong to Emer, how well of a warrior will he make? Will he be beneficial to the Quaital, or will he fall flat like the other members of the past, to fall to a single strike from a bandit? Or will he succeed in his training to become a fine warrior, that will hopefully bring the Sacaen tribe back to their original glory? Only time will tell, let us listen, shall we? To the tale that is spun before us, and keep a keen eye on the young trainee.
