If you are not already aware my character Carlisle is the rightful heir to the throne of Etruria preprophet. He's been in hiding for nine years but has recently emerged though not yet made himself known on the world stage. His current story arc is intended to end with him linking up with the knights that had previously aided him in his escape and went into exile with him.
So, with all of that out of the way I'd had an idea for fellow players if you would be interested. The knights are at present entirely npc's, however due to their nature and the secrecy being kept at the moment I wanted to propose the opportunity to create a character that can serve as one of the knights.
Not interested in being involved?: No pressure, story will march on.
I'm interested in being involved but I wanted to use my cool character that I've already spent four years perfecting?: That's cool too, this is just for anyone interested in early adoption and interest in this specific role.
Let's say I'm interested in playing a knight, what are the requirements? Like do I have to be a knight?: All classes are welcome with the obvious exceptions of Taguel and dragons. For the characters there would be a minimum age requirement thanks to the 9 years of exile that I would set to 21. At this minimum age your character would have had to be a greenhorn squire when they went into exile.
What are the character backstory requirements?: Believe it or not there aren't many restrictions beyond a few key events. Your character was recruited by the Great Knight Percival to ride with him into the attack on the royal family in order to steal away the royal children from the clutches of disaster. Before crossing the borders one of your own betrayed you to the prophet resulting in a brutal ambush. Many of your comrades died and the princess was captured. After the ambush you were one of the few that knew about Percival and Prince Carlisle faking their deaths and escaping to Nabata. And finally over the next nine years you had your own autonomy but you remained loyal waiting for the call back to action. Most of the surviving knights created a mercenary guild to help raise funds and keep their blades sharp but maybe you tread a different path?
All in all: I know its a lot to ask someone to outright create a new alt but if this gets your creative gears turning, great if not there will always be more opportunities. Also this does not mean your character would become constrained to Carlisle's threads only. By no means is this intended to limit your freedom.
