The team has some very juicy larger scale Taguel upgrades in the wings, ETA unknown don't expect them super soon, but in the meantime I wanted to put out a minor update that we all agreed on to make taguel mages/warriors a little less uhh... honestly, gimped lol.
As with all things, parts of this may change in the future if there are unexpected developments, but while it's still prohibitively expensive for Taguel to go super heavy into a bunch of weapon/magic types it should at least be easier to make a functional Taguel mage/warrior now.
RIP trimagic starts though, you will be missed.
As a personal note; the Taguel staff ban is something I've personally always pushed for on account of feeling that it both made them stick out from human mages (healing and buffs come from Adaptations instead) as well as to avoid the obvious issue of Juggernaut 3 + Strength staff stacking, or the possibility of Taguel magi just being better human mages that can buy super strength. But if that's something that people feel strongly about the mod team can certainly revisit the subject. Maybe you have an idea for a new utility Adaptation, or if you think Taguel SHOULD get staves feel free to share that opinion as well!
- Tools/Tomes adaptations no longer exist; instead, you just buy Weapon/Magic seals to unlock a given class of weapons or school of magic.
- Taguel now follow the universal magic guidelines same as humans (200 post advanced magic, can get mastery/advanced magic).
- For a mix of balance/flavor purposes, however, Taguel still cannot access Staff magic.
- Similarly, weapons are no longer limited by adaptation tier and you can buy magic weapons normally.
