I don't think there's very many active groups near Nabata/Arcadia. I don't want to wander too far from Arcadia due to only being able to re-energize my dragon stone in the one place, and if I'm far from there, It'll be a while before I can post again as I can't travel across the world in a blink of an eye. Anyways, I was going to post in the desert area to go hunt bandits while waiting for a group to come nearby, even though there was a story there, and my story would not be in any relation to it. Should I just make a new thread, or is it fine to post in it?

If you are going to hunt some bandits down in the desert, do so in a new thread. Let the Dragonstone thread be for buying and starting Manaketes only.
As for the recharge of the Dragonstone...we can all buy weapons at any town, no matter the place. As long as you are in any town, you should be able to recharge your Dragonstone as well. The problem is...how? I doubt any other city besides Arcadia has a place to recharge Dragonstones at.
How did you get a second(or more) Dragonstones for Myrrh in FE 8(if any)?

You only were given one, and when it ran out, you were screwed.
I think you could use the mine/auto-damage trick to get more, but other than that...

Hmm...let's just say that your Dragonstone gets power from Arcadia once it runs out. But you still have to pay for that recharge. >_>

Ok, that sounds fair. ^^ Not sure what the mine/auto-damage trick is, but if I'll be able to recharge it whenever in a town, then I guess there'll be no harm in joining up with Matis. Just have to think of a way to have my Character meet up with the group.

Thing is, once again, I doubt any city will have a place to recharge stones for the "lost" dragon race(except Arcadia, of course). Which is why I have to think of a way to let you recharge from a distance.
Let's say you use your magic to send the stone to Arcadia along with some cash, and seconds later, the stone is back and fully recharged. The ammount of cash is of course that needed for a recharge.

Just do what I last said. When your Dragonstone needs recharging, make use of your magic to teleport it along with some money to Arcadia.

How about they use a shrine in Arcadia to recharge it. Some tresure hunters found a few in the desert and took them then sold them in town. There is enough for one per town and you have to pay to get in the building then recharge it like that.

Even though it will be beneficial to me, and others with the same race/class as me, I'm not sure that's fir with the story too well. :/ But it's at least the best idea we have for the time being.

Well the only Manakete in FE8 you get is late game so we don't know how they recharge their stones. Also just to let you know, the dragon form is VERY powerfull.

Well, that is true, but I did not choose the race due to it's power. I love dragons, and if I could not be a Manakete, then I likely would have chosen a Wyvern Rider. Nonetheless, even if my dragon form is powerful, I've still got a low post count, which means I could still be fairly inexperienced in fighting. Therefore, I could be on par with most of the rest, if not still a little under.
Persoanlly, I prefer to not be all powerful. I like challenges, and if I could take on anything I came across with ease, then where would the challenge be?
Oh, and Alan, do you mean to say you would have better stats then me by far? If so I would agree as I haven't been here for very long.

The way the stats were up was crazy.. way back when. They raised by a fixed amount every post for everybody. If they were still up, Matis, Matthias, and Alan would all be FE gods. seriously, putting them against the dragon would not be a fair fight.

Actually, having shrines all over Etruria wouldn't really help. How would the people know what the shrines do, and make you pay for it? I still believe the teleporting idea is better, but this is not my decision, really. If you(any of you) has another idea, please post it.
Also, back then the stats were really messed up. There was a fixed gain for everyone, as Matthias' said, but there were no caps, and there won't be any either, if we ever find a working RPG stats code. Why? Well, let's say that you maxed your stats at 500 posts. What's left afterwards? However, if we DO find a code like the one I want, every class will have different gains, myrmidons gaining lots of speed, for example. Lords would be hard to put stat gains for, since they all vary. However, I believe we should have slightly higher gains than the normal class we are of(for example, I would have a better, I don't know, skill, strength and speed gains than a myrmidon, while Sain would have had a better defense, speed and strength gain than a Pirate or Knight/General(I don't remember which was the unpromoted one).
I still don't know what Kenshin is supposed to be. A myrmidon-like class, or more like a swordman/mercenary one?
