No matter what you do people will want a sequel. Even if the whole world blows up people will still want a sequel.

Both guesses are wrong, and JK Rowling didn't write book 7 with the intention of eleminating any hopes for a sequel.

But she said she would not write it. Maybe she'll give someone else permission to write a sequel. My guess is maybe she'll giver her daughter a whack at it.

She wanted to give the fandom the ability to keep on speculating, I don't think there will be an official sequel. N, I'm hoping for a completely new series.

Interesting. And I know someone would ask for a sequel. But with an ending such as the one I speculated on, the smarter public would NOT ask for one. They would perhaps want one, but see the impossibilities on the subject, and drop it off.

Look at DBZ/GT. The creater wanted to stop at the end of the Cell games. Fundimation kept buggin him so we got the whole Buu-Kid Buu saga. They wanted more so we got that crap called GT.
It's imposible to end something without wanting more.

If you've read the Fire Within series, When I got to the end I was like, wait, that's it? They could have a whole three more books off of this.

Just one final comment: Look at DBZ/GT. The creater wanted to stop at the end of the Cell games. Fundimation kept buggin him so we got the whole Buu-Kid Buu saga. They wanted more so we got that crap called GT. It's imposible to end something without wanting more. Actually, Toriyama officially said that the story was supposed to end at Frieza's saga, with Goku being the only and true Super Saiyan, but dying when Namek exploded. That's the TRUE ending to the DragonBall saga. Due to popular demand, Akira decided to continue the manga(which is the original way in which DB first appeared. The series came afterwards, and it was NOT Funimation which made him keep writing/drawing), and made Cell's and Buu's saga. He refused to do anything afterwards, though, and someone else had to do GT.
