Matthias took advantage of Roland's distraction to jump backwards. He quickly dropped one of his swords and drew out the Adonai Bow. He shot again, aiming for the middle of the charging hero.

Aerious saw, with rage filling him, a figure handed down in draconic lore. His face, his form, that of a hated enemy. The little warrior...Roland. But surely he would be dead by now, it had been Millennia since that war...But there was no mistake, and that sword, the sword of Sacred Fire, Durandal. There could be no other.
He felt his blood boil, surely this is why he was here, why he felt the need to be in draconic form here. There were other humans about, but he paid them no mind, and dived down at the figure with a fierce roar, his maw bellowing forth a blast of searing fire.

Durandal shone. A dragon was nearby, and the sword was warning him. Spinning around, he was met by a torrent of fire, which he quickly disposed of with Durandal. The weapon had been specially made to fight against the "beasts", as they were known back then, and Durandal was not called the "Blazing Sword" for nothing.
The dragon had made him forgot about the ranger and mercenary momentarily though, and was only reminded when an arrow struck him right in his chest, the sheer strength of it's light properties sending him off balance, making him fall to his knees. The flamethrower had already ended, thankfully.

"Hell yeah! Nice ta know you're still mortal!" crowed Matthias. Normally the dragon coming in through the ceiling would be a bit of a distraction.... but he was willing to take whatever advantage came his way. He quickly launched another arrow Roland's way, grinning as he saw the light magic activate.

Seeing that his breath did little but annoy the short warrior, Aerious decided to put some faith in that odd weapon the archer carried that shone with a magical light. Instead of spewing fire once again, he brought up his mighty claws in an attempt to hold Durandal down. He was not sure what touching the weapon would do to him, but his people had lost much to this man. And if he should put his life at risk as so many of his kind already had, he would gladly do so.

Crowley turned white. He had managed to dodge the blade but this was to match. He sword too hit the ground and he started running back. No way he was going to risk his life fighting a dragon and a hero.
"Guys! Wait for me!" He yelled at the running mercs in the distance.

Without taking the arrow out to avoid the bleeding, Roland tried to pick up Durandal, only to have it(along with him) be slammed into the floor by giant claws. There was the dragon again. Using all of his might, Roland made the sword slip from below the dragon's feet, and slashed at the beast's right foot.
He was surprised by a second arrow, though, which he barely dodged again. This time, the light magic had hit him more directly than the last time he had dodged an arrow, and was sent backwards by the blow.

"Hold the bastard down an' I'll make him a fuckin' pincushion!" Matthias shouted at his unknown ally. He quickly knocked and fired another arrow, grinning like a wolf at the spiraling energy. It seemed to hurt the zombie hero greatly.
He cursed his mercenary companions, but didn't blame them.

Crowley had found a nice roof to sit on. He was watching the fight. His two companions had returned as well. It was a nice fight.
"10 gold on the hero." One of them said.
"You got it." Crowley said. He wished Matthias win. He wanted to win some money.

Aerious felt the sword rip through his flesh. It's scorching fire seared it, but his scales were supposed to be resistant to fire? Ah, of course, a weapon designed to kill his people. Even with this pain and agony, he heard the archers words. While tactless, they were accurate, the hero seemed badly injured by the bow. But Aerious couldn't trap anything with his right foreleg injured as it was, not with his feet anyway.
Falling down to the same level as the hero, he roared and moved to close his powerful jaws. This was near suicide, one wrong move and he would have that sword through his jaw.

"No...", Roland muttered, seeing the incoming dragon ferociously try and bite him. Making use of his small size and agility, he moved just out of the dragon's biting range. Using the opportunity, the kicked the dragon's jaw with superhuman strength, sending him flying backwards.
But then, another arrow found it's way to the hero's chest. Blood started to come out of his mouth, as the midget did a last effort to try and eliminate his enemies. Durandal shone brightly, even more so than last time. He tried to say something, but he couldn't even talk. Blood was practically coming out of his mouth as a torrent. Roland threw Durandal high up in the air, aiming right in between Matthias and Aerious, as he followed suit, running first, then jumping up to grab the weapon. A couple of spins later, the blade collided with the ground, as earth itself rumbled beneath Roland, sending the hero, sniper and even the dragon, flying in all directions.

Crowley watched in awe. Absolutely ludicrous. This couldn't be happening. He quickly checked how full the rum bottle was. Almost full. He rubbed his eyes. And then jumped up:
"HE WON! He won! Guys! He won!" He stretched out to his companions who gave him the money from the bet. He quickly counted it and jumped of the roof running towards the archer.
"Nicely done! Here's your part of the money..." And he gave 5 gold to the archer.
He slapped the man on the back.
"Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. When they make a story about this, I'll be the one who distracted the hero and helped you slay him. We'll be known as the most furious warriors of them all, and-" He stopped talking. And he eyed the archer.
"Are you sure you are human?" And he added, while whispering, "Finish the dragon as well, we'll be dragon AND hero slayers."

Matthias had been thrown far from Roland by the final move. And hit a wall. And had something hard land on something important. Still, he noticed Crowley, who had somehow decided that hitting him again was the proper response. "What the hell is wrong with you?" he demanded, wobbling to his feet. Dust and debris fell from his cloak, coating his boots. He coughed a few times, but only dust came out. "Hell's teeth, that hurt!" He looked at Crowley. "Damn these heroes go down hard," he cursed. His gaze went to the dragon. "I think he's on our side, an' I'm not about ta kill someone who jus' helped save my hide." "Dragon!" he called. "You alright?"

Crowley watched Matthias talking to the dragon.
"Crazy b*stard." He mumbled and remained on a safe distance.

That final blast from the hero had thrown him backwards, into a wall which crumbled thanks to his huge bulk. He was dazed, but he could still hear what was going on.
"Finish the dragon as well, we'll be dragon AND hero slayers."
"I think he's on our side, an' I'm not about ta kill someone who jus' helped save my hide."
He assumed the first voice was that cowardly swordsman. He growled with anger, sounding like a small earthquake. Then his Dragonstone glowed again, and the pile of rubble atop him flew in all directions as he burst our with a roar. He stretched his wings, but his foot was still injured. He walked slowly up to the archer, keeping his head elevated.
"Why are those heroes here? You clearly know. What is going on?"
