Alexia, Sokka, and the general arrived in the area where the clerics were being held. Several other civilians had been imprisioned there as well, confirming Sokka's suscpions. "Thank Elmne!" the clerics gasped, upon seeing the appoarching good guys. They noticed the numerous wounds on Alexia and the general, as well as the fewer wounds on Sokka. Wasting no time, they worked their healing magic. "There's more people who will need your help, come with us," instructed Alexia, as she flexed her newly healed limbs. Thankfully, there would be no scars from the combat wounds. Clerics and civilian in tow, she began her journey back to the battlefield.

Sokka noticed than Alexia was much better now. :Those clerics sure know what they're doing, huh?" He said to her. They moved down the corridor swiftly, reaching the rest of the group in no time. The clerics began healing everyone who was hurt in the earlier battle.
OoC: Whos Elmne? I know an Elimine, who they say thanks to, but no Elmne

OoC: Matthias just made a spelling mistake. No biggie.
BiC: Half an hour passed before all the remaining bandits could be taken out. After that, Matis and Marcus started disscusing on what would happen next. Calis' body was still at Ostia, waiting for a funeral, which would now happen at Santaruz. The monument for him was now going to be built at Santaruz' courtyard instead, and the funeral would go as planned.
"Marcus, go back with the troops, tell the santarucians that it's safe to come to their hometown, and bring Calis' body with you, letting everyone know that they are invited to his funeral."
Matis then went into the castle once again. It seemed that now Santaruz was leaderless, and Matis had no one in mind to cover that spot.

The Santuraz soldier went into the castle to see what was left of their quarters and belongings. I dismounted my wyvern and followed Matis into the castle. 'So where to now, boss?'

"Don't call me boss. I barely have the qualities to be one."
"And, I really don't know. The bandits could come back with reinforcements to try and take Santaruz back. They were able to do so once already, so why not twice? And I want to get someone into the leadership of Santaruz. No one is in charge at the moment, and Calis had no heirs. Atleast, not to my knowledge."
Some bell ringing could be heard somewhere in the city. 6 bells, exactly. It was now 6 AM in the morning, and Marcus would be back with Calis at about 12.

Matthias was awakened by the sounds of bells going off. Startled, he slipped off his perch on the Santaruz throne. A few servants were cleaning the area, but no one had bothered to wake the archer. Somehow, his wounds had managed to be healed (Alexia's clerics are probably healing all of us).
After snatching some food from a servant, Matthias searched out Matis. He found him preparing the castle. "So, we gonna stay 'ere or what?" he asked, munching on an apple he'd gotten from somewhere. He'd shown up just after Matis had explained things, and would most likely need things repeated.
OoC: sorry, I honestly forgot how to spell the name of the deity/saint, I knew it had those letters in it. ON the heir note, shame Alexia and Calis didn't get to know each other better, or there might be one. ^.^

Alexia had led the civilians to their rightful places, and the clerics quickly healed the wounded. "They certainly do," she agreed with Sokka's comment regarding the clerics' skills. "We should probably report the situation to Lord Matis." She dismounted from Fleetfoot, and motioned for a servant to take care of him. Normally, she wouldn't let anyone get near her mount, but this was an exception. Moving quickly, she found Matis, discussing things with Matthias and Alan. "My lord," she said, bowing stiffly. "We've freed several civilians and there are some clerics that are willing to give us aid. Also, this warrior surrendered himself to us." She indicated the general she had been escorting, who also bowed to Matis. "We await your orders."
OoC: so much fun being the lord, eh? BTW, can anyone remember the name of the knight that Calis lugged around as his vassal? We could make the general here be that guy, and we'd have someone to watch over Santaruz.

Sokka made sure that everyone who had fought was healed by the clerics. "You can go if you wish, but you might want to stay here in case of another attack." He told them. He left then to thier own buisness, and he finally had time to see his sister.

Katara had just gotten off of the wyvern. "Thank you, Sir Alan." She said. It was at about that time when her brother Sokka came up to her. "Are you okay?" He asked. "I'm fine Sokka." Katara answered "How did everything go with you?" She asked. "Fine, Thanks." He said. "I hope Lord Matis will let us stay with him, especially me, I hope I didn't mess up or anything..." Katara said. "You did fine." her brother told her. "I'm sure he'll need our help. The more people we have, the better chance we have at beating down an attack." Sokka said. "I wonder when they are going to bring Calis here..." Katara mumbled. "Soon." Answered Sokka.

(That would be Yeo and he's dead, I think...)
'Why do they want this place so badly, anyway?' I said to no one in particular.

OoC: I don't remember seeing him be mentioned as dead...Gotta take a look around the entire board. Once I find out, I'll edit this post.
EDIT: Look! Perfect!
OoC: Yeo...Dunno. Let's say the thought of losing his master and best friend was probably too much for him, so he went on his own to Bern to attack, not to be seen again. >_>
Posted by me, on September. Before the attack to Santaruz!
BiC: "Stop calling me lord, boss or anything like that. I might be leading the troops and all, but I prefer to be an equal to you all."
The general then took off his helmet, revealing a familiar face.
"Yeo? W-what...what happened?"
Yeo told his long, LONG story. He had gone to Bern, sent by Calis before his death, and there he had fought against Hargus. Hargus had beaten him completely, and unless he were to serve him, he wouldn't get out of Bern alive. But now he was out of Bern, and was willing to be back to help the group.
"I see..." Like all Sacaens, Matis didn't lie, and was able to tell when others did. Yeo wasn't.
"I will trust you. Being the second in charge when Calis was here, you'll take care of Santaruz. You are the rightful heir of the throne."
Now that that had been taken care of, there were other things to do. Once Calis' funeral was finished, they, or atleast he, would go and look for Kenshin. Word was he was back at Ostia, but Marcus would tell him for sure when he got back.

I followed Yeo and his men to the throne room. 'How did Lord Calis die?' he asked me. 'Heart attack. guess the pressure of the past events were too much of him.' 'Who has been leading the troops of Santuraz then?' 'Me, believe it or not. I can still remember coming into this place as a lowly sellsword looking for trouble... That's kinda what I want to talk about. I'm going with Matis, so I want my money.' 'Heh, the mercenary has spoken. It'll take time before I can pay you off.'

Midday. Marcus had arrived just in time, as expected, followed by thousands of people from Ostia and Santaruz. The funeral was set for 5 PM, and in the meanwhile, everyone helped clean the mess up.
A monument in Calis' name had been made in an awesomely short time. There were many sculptors working on it, and the central square of the city was the chosen place for the burial. The statue was placed in the middle of the square, on a green patch of grass, and Calis was buried besides it. It started to rain, and at the same time it did, everyone started to cry. Calis had been a good man, worthy of even more than this.

During the funeral Alan stood beside Matis. 'We are wasting time, we should be heading back to Ostia right now.' I wispered.

"Don't you have any emotions at all? Calis fought bravely alongside us, and helped Kenshin and me escape from the bandits hideout...But I guess you are right, we must get going as soon as we can."
Matis started to move through the crowd, and got out of it, finding Matthias, Alexia, Sokka and Katara, all standing together, watching the funeral from afar. Alexia seemed to be crying, but shoved the tears away as soon as he saw Matis and Alan coming to them.
"We are going back to Ostia for Kenshin. We'll be leaving right now, so if you wish to come, get ready, and find us at the entrace of Santaruz."
