Aerious had been traveling back to Bern after meeting with Matthian and that other guy in Sacae. It was a long trip distance wise, but he traversed it quickly. He remembered to disguise himself as he came near to the city, and was thunderstruck as it came over the horizon.
There were flames again, and a dragon. He was certain most humans would think it was him, but he could spot the differences, having grown among them. Thinner scales, very young, more heavily pronounced rear legs, it was a female?!
Aerious stopped in his tracks to watch what was happening. Luckily nobody would think his surprise as being odd.

Jonathan spotted the cavalier and the mage over by the dragon and said: "Sorry, they moved over by that dragon. We should probably go over there and see what's going on. We might find out where that dragon came from too." Despite his calm words he was shocked. A dragon would be the only possible source of this destruction of the city, but why would it still be here? And why would it not attack the people around it? These questions would be answered better over by the dragon, so Jonathan headed straight for it. He spiraled down and landed next to Julian, then looked up to watch the pegasus land.

Rayl couldn't help but look back on all that chaos, then to the dragon, suddenlly realising two things, on of them being he should be a little bit nicer to Myra.
The second thing however was the fact that he had helped no one but himself, and the now dieing olde code said that you had to fight injustices, protect the weak and innocent...and what had Rayl done? NOTHING! He decided it would be best if he just remained silent, as he continued to scan the area, his eyes falling upon Aerious,"Hmmm...that's the man from yesterday...punching people into walls and what not...wait-" then everything came back to him, being drunk, hangovers, the works, and he felt even worse...
The Olde Code clearly read- yet Rayl had abandoned all this for foolish romanticism and childhood dreams...not only this but that meant that he had also dishonored those kind people who let him live and work with them at that bakery years back, all those years being in vain...and right then, Rayl decided that this mercenary work just wasn't cut out for him. He would follow the Code to the letter, just like his mentor.
But he wasn't going to just leave...not until he was sure Lady Persephone got back to Ilia safely...or when they returned to Lycia, which ever came first.

Aerious' eyes saw them. The archers were advancing on the young dragon, and their arrows were higher quality then the average crap. They must have called in reinforcements from the capital after his attack. He shouted out, even though he doubted if she could hear him.
"Watch out! Below you!"

Jackie shot two fire blasts in succession at an archer near the dragon, he burnt up without remembering to stop drop and roll. The little red haired girl she saw earlier, was this dragon. There was no doubt in Jackie's mind, her father had told her how to feel an individual's essence. If the little red haired girl was invisible, Jackie would know where she was... within a 3 meter radius.

Rayl shook off all his thoughts, and dug the spurs in his boots into the sides of his horse, and so charging at the dragon, but not her, but an archer that was underneath, bow aimed straight up, preparing to fire, until his arm was pierced by a lance from the charging cavalier, who pulled it out before turning the horse, and charging again, taking him out on the second run, turning his head in the direction of two other archers, who went off running, while Rayl then turned to the others,"Alright...it's safe now I guess..."
He was ignoring two arrows that were in his back, he was slightly delusional anyways, before dismounting, and THEN feeling the pain of the arrows, but tried to hide it from the others,"...Where is Persephone?" as always, he was wondering this, before looking back to that man punching drunkards yesterday,"So who are you then, sir?"

Aerious almost completely ignored the cavalier addressing him, he instead looked to the dragon.
"It's ok now young one, you don't have anything left to fear." He called to her. Now he was quite sure his call would reach her ears.

Myra took a step back, startled at being the target , accidentaly killing a particularaly sneaky archer, and getting an arrow unconvieniantly lodged in between her scales in return. That was the last one however, and she instead focused on the voice from above. Him. The young (cute) human the bar. A dragon? She transformed out of her true form, and flew up to him, unsure what to say. "You... um..." Damn it! She didn't know what to say, and she couldnt even greet him in fear of overlooking some custom she was ignorant of.

Aerious was a bit surprised that it was this girl. He saw her before in the bar.
"I see, so you live among humans, do you do it because of choice, or do you have no alternative. It is irrelevant. I'm not the type to leave a young one alone in this world. I know how it feels to be alone. My name is Aerious young one, and what are you called?"

"I'm.. I'm Myra! I have no choice really, and you are the first other member of the superior race I have seen. I have made... friendly aquantances with the humans below." Se was a bit nervous around this Aerious. She was used to being with people she knew she was higher up than, but this person was above her... the feeling was alien.

OOC: So you know, Aerious is not flying. He is in human form on the ground. Just making sure.
IC: "Myra, I see. And those humans, you travel with them correct?" He recognized a few of them from that pub, but there were several new additions. "They did not turn against you when they found out what you were, perhaps there is hope for this race yet..."
He started walking towards Rayl, perceiving him to be the leader.

Rayl couldn't keep his gaze off of he man advancing on him, and tightened the grip on his lance, loosened the grip and lowered the weapon due to trust, but dropping it on the ground due to the pain in his arm, while he pulled the two arrows, the source, from his back, while slowly removing his the top sections of his armor, cookbook also falling, but he caught it before it hit the dirt,"...Lady Persephone is the leader, since she's of noble blood, and as the Olde Code states..." he stopped himself though, not bothing to bore this man with his ramblings now,"But I have to wonder sir, if dragons are so strong and massive..." he stared at his lance on the ground, and his armor,"How could we, beings so small, have possibly won? it couldn't have been just because of eight individuals and their weapons...I think it was a combination, of courage, love, and alot of luck..."

Aerious listened to the knight.
"Courage, love and a lot of luck eh? Tell me boy, what would you say to a first hand recounting of that war." Aerious responded. He'd probably have to tell the story to Myra anyway, it wouldn't hurt setting the record right for a few humans as well.
"The Bern army will be here shortly en masse, I suggest we make ourselves scarce and set up a camp away from this place."

(OoC: Whoops... hehe.) "Where's our blond holy man? Last time I checked he was thrown into some shrubbery, but you never know." She tried hard to contain her excitement. No-one would ever tell her the real story of the war, and whenever she asked, she was told that 'The dragons were big and mean, then the heroes killed them.' As thrilling as that story was, she wanted the real, not dumbed down or humanized version.

Julian was startled. 'A first hand account of the war?' he thought. 'I've got to hear this.'
Hearing Myra mention the monk, Julian looked around. 'Now where did he...hmm?' Julian heard a rustling in some bushes and headed over there. "Is that you Delroy?" he asked while he prepared himself in case there were still some Bernese troops thinking of trying to ambush them.
