'Saving trees, really, some people...' Flyssa stated blankly, as she stood up and resumed dragging the rock around, 'Hurry up and help me... You are soo useless...'
Flyssa lifted up the rock slowly, throwing it on the fire, 'This is soo not working!'

Jaffer looked over his shoulder to see if someone was looking. 'From what Matthias said this girl is uncontrolable, I guess I should help her to her on my side.' Then Jaffer started helping Flyssa drag the rock around.

"His name is Calis." Matis said to Matthias. Still, he knew that remark would be useless. In his state, he'd be lucky to remember what the hell happened today.
Sain was missing, Kenshin headed to Sacae, and Calis returned to Santuraz.
Probably they know more than I do, and they have planned ahead. But why didn't they tell us ?
Matis silently thought about the matter, but couldn't find any answer. Then, he saw Flyssa and Jaffer dragging a big rock around.
"What are you doing ?" he said, watching them move the giant rock.

'Don't ask.' Suddenly Jaffer let go of the rock and draw his sword, he paid little heed to Flyssa who fell when she had to wield the rock by herself. 'Someone is coming, unpadded feet, probably bandits.' BANG! 'I Got one, Gwahahaha!' Hargus appeared out of the woods and smacked Jaffer's head right off with his hammer. 'Now, Who wants to be next?'

Jaffer...I knew we shouldn't have stayed here...
Running as fast as he could Matis ran to Jaffer, barely evading Hargus' hammer, picking Jaffer up, and going back to where Matthias stood.
"Matthias, Flyssa we have no time to waste, we have to get out of here !"
Matis started running to the northwest, to Ostia, signaling the cavaliers to retreat as well.

'Eeeww! Must they carry corpse around!' Flyssa complained to herself, as she panted.
'I refuse to run, I'm tired of running, carrying rocks aren't easy...' Flyssa stared at the bandit leader slowly.
'Why are we even fighting them,' She muttered under her breath.

Matthias saw the head flying off the body. He snapped out of his tired reverie, and fired off a few arrows. He had this feeling that he was one of the few people who could even touch Hargus. No one else wanted to get close to him. out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Flyssa not running.
"Dammit, girl!" he shouted. "Either start toasting or get the hell out of here. That bandit's not going to be nice!"
He fired off a few shots, which distracted Hargus from Matis. He could only hope to buy enough time for Flyssa to bail out. Then, he'd join in the running like hell...

'Oh please...' Flyssa said, as she walked away from the bandit, 'Have fun, Matthias!'
'God. Trust him to make me have to walk!' Flyssa complained, 'He gets all the fun, it's not even fair!' After a few more minutes of complaining to herself , Flyssa decided to rest on the ground.
'This is really saddening, I can't believe have to sit on this disgusting, dirty ground!' Flyssa looked round for searching for signs of Matthias, 'Imagine if some wild animals eat me! EEEEK!'

"Damn that stupid girl!" Matthias cursed as he let more arrows fly at Hargus. The bandit lord didn't seem to even be noticing the fact that arrows were hitting him. Eventually, the sheer annoyance of it must've gotten on his nerves, because he began charging the archer. A quick glance around, and Matthias noted that nobody besides him remained. That mean that he only needed to buy a little more time, and then get the heck out of there. He darted into the woods, trying to peer through to find Hargus. As he was watching, something bit into his shoulder. He cried out in pain, and turned to see a bandit grinning, displaying teeth that hadn't been clean since birth. The scum opened its mouth to scream, but was rewarded with an arrow to the throat for effort. Clinching his teeth against the pain, Matthias darted into the woods, not paying any attention to direction. His only goal was to get as far away from the deadly bandits as possible. His exertion made him breathe the smoke deeper ,and he was thankful the wind carried the fire in the opposite direction he was running. Hopefully, they'd give up on them, and tend to that...
Matthias beat it through the woods, traveling blindly.
While the archer ran, something important happened that he missed. A purple liquid dripped from the bandit's ax, hissing as it touched earth...

'Who do we follow, sir?' After observing the crew from far above since the camp it was time to act at last, Alan's father was a Wyvern General and had given him the rank of squad leader. 'Well you know the orders: "Observe the bandits raid but do not intervere, you are not to assist the bandits in any way or reveal your presents." ' 'It doesn't look like Hargus will be making it to Bern Palace, should I report back?' 'Yes go do that and tell my father I went down for close observation.' 'Sir, don't go up against the Palace, not again.' 'Silence, if you want to keep your wings then you will go now.' The soldier left, leaving Alan alone. When the soldier was out of sight Alan went down to the archer...

Matthias saw the shape decending towards him. For a few moments, he thought it was his friend Rath. Mouth open, he was about to call out to him. That's when he noticed that wasn't Themis (Sp?). He quickly drew out an arrow, and fired a warning shot. Wyverns weren't a problem for a skilled archer, especially someone as raw as this guy looked.
"You might want to keep your distance, I'm really edgy and have absolutlely no clue who the hell you are!" he shouted to the wyvern, as he pulled the bow back again. His shoulder wound burned with the effort.

Surprised by this hostility he slowed his decent, wondering if he could take him. The man looked as though he had seen many battles but he was wounded and very tired. 'I seek no battle, I am Alan and not your enemy. You will not last long in these lands with such a attitude and without the support to back it up.'

Matthias arched his eyebrows. Most wyvern riders cower before a decent archer aiming a bow at them. However, his shoulder wound burned, and he really didn't need new enemies. He carefully lowered his bow, but did not remove his hands from the arrow. "Last I checked the only wyvern rider I'm friends with is a deserter, and you don't look like him. So, 'Alan' I'm a bit edgy. Last I checked I wasn't on good terms with Bern," Matthias glared at the rider. Under normal circumstances, Matthias might be a bit less snarky, but things had not been going well lately. If the rider showed even a little sign of being hostile, Matthias was shooting him down. "Oh, yeah, I'm Matthias, and I'm obviously an Ostian vassal," he called up. He spared a quick glance down at his jerkin, to confirm the sign of the House Ostia. it was still there, though rather worse for wear. "Now, bugger off. I need to get home."

'Is that a wyvern rider...' Flyssa wondered to herself, she then sighed, 'Seriously, this battling thing is dong nothing for me, I'm soo tired and hungry and a bit thirsty too... Actually I'm really thirsty. I don't want to be here anymore, this is scary.' She placed her head is her hands, propping them on her knee.
'So much blood... So much death... This is... murderous... I'm a murderer!' She sat their quietly, recounting her memories of home and travelling as she rested on the hard ground.
'My locket... It's still with the theif! What am I going to do, what am I going to do?' Flyssa moaned to herself, 'I can't go home now! I guess I have to... Fight... Maybe one day, I'll see that theif... Maybe I'll get my locket back...'
Flyssa stood up with a tired expression on her face and ran towards the Wyvern, ready to fight.

'Ostia, huh? You know the King has forbidden Lycian's to cross our borders and that your friend Rath, yes I know his name, is a wanted man? This is perfect, I do believe I will join this little ragtag band of adventurers.' Then he noticed Flyssa and saw her already holding a fireball in her hand. 'What the...'
