Saru braced himself as their ship started to turn and narrowly avoided a collision. Several pirates had managed to jump the gap as the ships passed. The mercenary's eyes widened and a deep laugh of anticipation and joy burst from him as he rushed the intruders with the others. "Come on, ya hopeless fools! Rush to your deaths!" Saru yelled as he clashed with one pirate.
After a swift exchange he punched the pirate in the face and dodged to side at a cry from Raen, the axe meant to separate his arm from his torso merely scratching his upper arm. The pirate who had swung, unexpectedly meeting very little resistance, was off balance and unable to dodge Saru's sword as it danced across his throat, spilling his blood upon the deck. But the mercenary had already turned and once again locked weapons with the first pirate as he called out, "Thanks Rae!"

Katara was relieved that the ships did not collide... But the fight had now begun. She popped up beside Saru and cut an axe wielding bandit, who was about to strike the mercenary, down. "Be careful, I can't save your butt every time," she said. Then Katara jumped unto another bandit and plunged her sword into his scalp.

Delroy, having just gotten healed for the second time, and refreshed greatly by the kind priest, went to go wash in a nearby body of water (Delroy couldn't remember what kind; he quite frankly had better things to worry about). He had just plunged into the cool water, fully clothed, when on the horizon, two ships were so close, Delroy was worried they might collide. Worried, he took a small leather sack he had made to hold some of his belongings, namely a Vulnerary ad his two tomes. After putting his shirt and robe in the sack to reduce drag, but keeping his pants to preserve modesty, he set out to see iff the two ships were all right.
Swimming had taken longer than Delroy had anticipated, especially as he was trying to preserve his energy. By the time had had gotten there, the ships had crashed! Upon closer inspection, however, Delroy that one of the ships set to board the other ship. Shouts were heard, but by the gist of it, there was a pirate attack under way!
Delroy swam to what would be the boarding pirate ship, and aimed at an axeweilder that was close enough to the edge to be seen. Delroy summoned a bolt of light to drop down on the unlucky pirate. The pirate gave a yelp of suprise and tubled backwards over the railing. Almost vomiting with what he was about to do, Delroy swam under water to the stunned pirate, lifted the axe that had dropped from his adversary's hand, and struck the man in the temple with the blunt side. Satasfied, and with lungs burning for air, Delroy swam back to the surface.

While Katara was fighting back an archer, she noticed a bandit explode with a burst of light. Light magic? There are not monks on our boat or theirs... Then she looked over the edge, near where the bandit was, and saw a young monk struggling to keep himself afloat. In a flailing motion, his eyes came into view. Katara remembered her dream, so long ago. A voice told her to watch for a man with eyes like the moon... She turned to a mercenary with a funny brown hat on. Her was wielding a whip instead of a sword. She gutted the strange man and took his whip. It was inscribed, it said "Indy" on it. No matter. She the the end of the whip down at the man, wrapping it around his wrist. Then, she ran in the other direction, pulling the man aboard.
OoC: I can't find the post where she had the dream about him, so i made it up from what i could remember.

Delroy's scream was lost as he whipped upwards, landing on the deck, hard. On his way up, his head banged up on the ship's anchor. Delroy lay on the deck, struggling to keep concious, vomiting water and blood, though he had hit only the blunt edge. The last things he remembered were the sounds of battle, a soft face...
And a strange warmth on the base of his neck.

"Protect the monk!" Matis shouted, spinning his Steel Lance around, cutting a few pirates on the way, even if most would survive the attack. Someone had to take down the mages on the other ship. Were they to attack, the ship would be set ablaze. Both ships were close together now and it would take no more than a simple jump to get from one to the other.
"Be back in a second!" he said, stabbing a pirate on the chest and disappearing within the crowd. A bolt of lightning. Two. Three. Matis dodged the first two, being hit by the third, but just in time to behead one of the magicians. One remained.

Hearing Matis' cry, he worked his way back to where the monk was laying on the deck. As he dodged an axe swipe and kicked the pirate overboard, he asked the dazed and almost unconscious man, "Where in the bloody hell did you come from?" Not expecting an aswer, he turned before quickly flicking his sword out, around the swing of another pirate's axe, and across the man's chest, dropping him.
Unable to stop it, Saru started laughing as an axe found small purchase in his side, giving him a flesh wound. "This is the life!" he shouted happily as he began to overpower the new pirate he was facing, only for an arrow to pierce the man's side.

Katara looked at the helpless monk, lost in her old dream... He needed to live. There was something about him. She pulled away. She spotted Matis being struck by lightning. Bolting! The high-range lightning! She ran as fast as she could, figuring the mage would target the monk next. Wih a burst of energy, she jumped the widening gap onto the enemy ship. Ignoring the pirates going after her, she ran at the last mage. The mage switched tomes, sending a fireball hurtling towards Katara. The fire hit her square in the chest. Katara stumbled, stunned badly. Her momentum lost, the pirates converged on her. Before she was overtaken, her sword met the mage's black heart. She saw the bolting tome fall from his limp hand. She turned around to face the pirates blocking her way back to the ship. "Who wants to die first!?" she screamed. Not waiting for an answer to the rhetorical question, she jumped at the first pirate she saw.

Seeing Katara jump to the other ship to help out Matis, Saru glanced around, noting pirates breaking like waves upon meeting Alexia. Catching a small break, the mercenary grabbed the monk and dragged him over to the stairs leading below deck. "Hey, somebody get this guy off the deck!" he yelled. A crewman popped out and did what was asked as Saru turned back to the battle. A pirate was there, ready to strike him down, only to sprout an arrow in his throat. 'That was close,' he thought.
Seeing another pirate charge him, he quickly brought his sword up and blocked the intial swing. The pirate had a chain hanging down, a medalion with a 4 pointed star contained in a circle with a smaller circle inside on it. Thinking quickly, Saru grabbed the chain and yanked hard, causing the pirate to smash his face into his own axe, killing him. "Ouch. That's gotta hurt," the mercenary said as he pocketed the piece of jewelry then jumped back into the fray.

"Thanks, Katara!" Matis shouted, striking down another pirate, only for an axe to hit him on his left arm. Matis tumbled to his left, got back up and, full of anger, stabbed the pirate who had hit him over and over again in a matter of seconds.
Something had taken over him. It had been a long time since something like that had happened. I must...control myself he thought, breathing slowly. Now only the archers and a single mercenary stood on their way. After that, the few pirates left would surely surrender.

"Yea no problem Saru!" shouted Raen above the din. 'He's so cocky he doesn't even know whos doing the wor-' An arrow thudded right next to Raen's head and he quickly fitted an arrow and watched as what he figured to be one of Dirk's arrows caught the archer in the shoulder, knocking him out of the crows nest to a lengthy fall. "Thanks Dirk.. I think" he called, there was no time anyway as Saru sent himself back into the fray with blood streaming from his arm. Raen sited up another pirate sneaking around Saru and fired an arrow into his back, 'I hope Matis and Katara are ok' he thought before knocking another arrow into place.

Katara hopped back over to their ship, cutting down anyone in her way. She hadn't noticed that the fighting had stopped. She went down the stairs to where the monk was. She looked at him, lying on a cot. "Who are you...?" she whispered, knowing that he was out cold.

Dirk slowly got up from the deck of the ship. "I don't have anymore left to chuck..." he said quietly. Then he noticed pirates were attacking. "Great, not only am I without horse, but without balance." He fired an arrow at random, it hit an archer in the shoulder, but Dirk was too unbalanced to tell who it was.

A single enemy left. After that, all that was left was the captain of the ship. Matis simply got close, dodged the pirate's attempt at a slash with his axe and stabbed the man through the chest.
"Get out of here, unless you want to suffer the same fate" Matis shouted at the captain of the pirate ship, as he made it back to their own ship. Something tells me we'll have to take care of the cleaning up too, he thought, seeing the corpses of the enemies lying around.
"How's the monk?" Matis asked Saru while checking the wound he had got on his leg from the lightning bolt. Damned mages...

Saru cleaned his sword off on one of the corpses' clothes and sheathed it before answering. "Well, he'll be outta it for awhile, got a nasty lump on his head, and he's got a bruise on his neck from pri-I mean Katara's, little trick." The mercenary shrugged. "All in all though, the guy should be fine in a little bit, faster if we can find a healer." He gestured toward the stairs leading below deck. "I got 'im down there, if ya wanna check on him." Saru looked around. "I think Kat's already down there."
