Aerious glared at Rayl, now slightly shorter then him. "I was never harmed by the Sacaen, a human with a true sense of honor, and the Wyvern Rider was a pinnacle of human strength. Both very rare mortals worthy of respect." When he heard him addressed though, he tilted his head as if confused.
"Rayl." He said, as if trying to sense the word as he sounded it out. He'd heard that name before, but it was hard to remember. He stared him down, as if looking into his soul. Then he had a memory, from Bern...after he'd attacked it. He shared his story with a group, among them was a cavalier as he recalled...
"So, the boy still lives. Hmph, tenacious mortals. In the blink of an eye you change completely. I've already told you my story, if you bothered to remember it or take the words of your beloved 'heroes'. Your kind cannot be trusted, you will always force your way, even if the natural order of the world says otherwise. The Endless Winter was due to the arrogance of humans, and now you seek to make amends with words? Without you, all dragons would have grown up in the world they deserved, our world. The world we rightfully were superior in. But never content with that, you changed the world to suit your own needs."
He turned to Saffra for a moment. "Any human, would rather change the world and the people around them, then to change themselves. Selfish and arrogant creatures."

Undaunted, Rayl continued to look Aerious in the eyes," Simple words cannot make amends for the mistakes of our predecessors..." he paused, before extending a hand of friendship, which he knew the dragon would deny," Only trust can, although it is with thoughts of the past that keep such goals from never being able to accomplish." deep down, The Paladin knew that there would be next to none, if even that much, of a chance of peace between Aerious and Humanity. No...it just was not possible. The two hardly saw eye to eye, having varied views on everything... All Rayl could do as of this point was pray for the safety of the others, which could very well be in jeopardy if things kept up as they were...
OOC: just some little notes here, mostly my own observations...huzzah for semi-bias?
Rayl Human/Dragon Equality: individualism and flaws in both. Hope for peace between humans and dragons.
Aerious: All Humans inferior and wicked / All Dragons Superior and good. Denial of any possible union of the two races.

At first, Saffra was a little confused. Apparently Aerious knew of Rayl, by with the familiarity in his tone, and the addressing manner to which he spoke. Aerious' harsh tone was still there...but she tried to understand it the way it came from him. The hate he had for humans was quite clear...and it must have been long seeded...especially the way he told Rayl to throw away the shield with markings from Barigan...a name she too, had come to hate, but that was kept within.
Her hands busied with her clothes, feeling a bit out of place, like she were a student of the old dragon, whose human appearance was quite young. Saffra's eyes somewhat closed, and bobbed a small nod, meeting his gaze, and then looking away. That was the natural order of all things. Saffra was in a strange position. Humans had been good and decent to her for the most part. She had a different view on them then Aerious did.
"Some, like this prophet, yes, but I do not believe Rayl is the same. He could have struck me down at any moment had he wished...I do not sense any sort of ill-will in this human."
Her eyes narrowed a bit and her lips pursed, becoming a thin line. She watched as Rayl extended his hand in friendship, and she had this feeling that Aerious would not take it. Aerious was trying to effectively get her to leave this group of humans...but how could she? They may need her...
"I go with Rayl, to stop a man and his delusions, who openly hurt his own, it is unforgiveable...much like what has happened to our own race, our own people...I go on my own free will...and if that is foolish of me, then tell me, elder, what should I do? When will a time come, where dragons such as we, are more than feared, but awe inspiring?"

Chelsea gave a little gasp as Kelvin was knocked to the ground. She hurried over to him and helped him to his feet? "Are you ok? That looked like it hurt a little bit..." She helped brush the dirty off his armor while she waited for him to say if he was ok or not.

Chelsea helped Kelvin up and dusted off his armor. She asked him if he was alright. "Uhh, I'm not exactly sure. He wasn't that heavy, but let me check." Kelvin felt around his body. When he got to his left arm, he had a sharp pain in his forearm. "Ouch. Yeah, I'm hurt a little. It's my left arm. It doesn't seem broken, but it hurts. Bad."

Chelsea gave Kelvin a look of concern. "You're hurt? Come on, let's go find that healer." She took his uninjured hand and start to lead him through the camp, looking around for the healer. She gave a little sigh. This guy just always seems to get hurt, doesn't he? Her eyes swept the camp opposite the direction of the dragon. Rayl seemed like he could handle it. Plus, Saffra was there and she was really strong. Her eyes wandered everywhere in front of her, but didn't look back towards Kelvin at all. As she had his hand in hers, she knew he was still there.

As Chelsea grabbed his hand, Kelvin blushed slightly. Luckily, she had turned her head away in time and hadn't noticed. She lead him through the camp searching for the healer. Kelvin felt the pain in his arm easing a bit. Sure he was still injured, but Chelsea seemed to ease the pain a bit.

Finally she spotted the tent the healer had been in before. "There it is." She gave him a serious look. "Go in there and get healed." She sat down outside the opening and waited. "I'll be right here, so if you try to slip away I'll know."

Kelvin smiled at Chelsea's concern. He stepped inside the tent and told the healer where he was hurt. The healer put his staff to the wound and he could feel the wound being mended. The process was quick, and he stepped out of the tent. "My arms alright." He gave Chelsea a warm smile, "Thanks for caring."

She hopped up to her feet and too his arm into her hands. She had plenty of experience in dealing with arm injures from back home, so she wanted to make sure for certain. She ran her fingers up and down the area softly, checking each of the bones to make sure they were all fine. Once it passed her inspection, she smiled. "Very good. And of course I care, you're one of our group now."

Kelvin again blushed as Chelsea checked his arm for injuries. She finished, and he remembered why he had gone over to her before he had heard the noise. "Hey, are you ok? Back on the hill you seemed... upset. Is everything alright?" He said looking into her eyes.

It was Chelsea's turn to blush. "It was nothing... just me being dumb..." She gave a little smile and shook her head. "It was all just a little too much, you know? Karina's being sent ahead to scout, Rayl broke down and left... it was overwhelming..."

A shadow. A mighty roar. Gabriel's legs were shook for a few seconds, until he calmed himself with some deep breathing. Another dragon. A seemingly hostile one, at that. What were the chances? How often would a man be able to see not one, but two dragons?
The conversation unfolded, as the mage could do nothing but try to keep his composure. Rayl had come back. The dragon and the paladin knew each other. Aerious. The dragon seemed to despise Saffra's actions up until now. Though something seemed odd. The dragon had not attacked yet. Saffra was probably the only thing that kept him from doing that. Maybe it's best if he tried to intervene? He stepped up.
"Sir...Aerious was it?" he said, bowing to the dragon. Hopefully the now-human would notice him. "Would you mind if I asked, what is it that truly happened back then, a thousand years ago? As you are aware, we humans have a very short time-span compared to you". It was difficult for words to come out. He feared something he'd say could get them all killed. "All we have from back then are records, written by an unknown author, and nothing gives us the guarantee that those records were not modified or altered somehow through all these past years. I'd...like to hear the dragon's version of the story, if you wouldn't mind."
At this, he bowed again. Chances were the dragon wouldn't even pay attention to him, what with how he had acted up until now. But it was worth a try.

"I know what you mean. Watching my cousin break down like that, it was almost too much to bear. And then Merio went chasing off after him. I'm just glad you didn't leave. I don't know what I would have done." He laughed nervously.

She tilted her head curiously. "Me? Why me?" It wasn't so much she was suspicious, but more so curious. Maybe it was a joke? She was never good at picking up jokes like that. Nathan had always given her grief for that. She looked up at Kelvin, as if somehow by looking at his face she'd learn what he meant, or at least cause him to answer.
