Bantu saw what seemed to be the leader of the army come over. "Ahh yes, we actually don't really have any business here; we are just travelling monks and we saw this army. We simply want to know where this army is going and why." he had trouble finding his next words, "We don't really get much information on what goes on in the world so we'd like to know." Zigurt added, "Yes we have been living here for a long time and know little."
"Hey, wait," Bantu thought "that doesn't make much sense." he quickly blurted out, "Uhh, we aren't really traveling monks, we just like to refer to ourselves as that, hehe." He avoided eye contact and waited for the response.

Richter didn't like these men. At all. For all he knew these were Etrurian spies. Dumb ones, sure, but spies nonetheless. "You may mean us no harm, or you may mean us plenty," he responded, giving Clair a brief look before turning to the monks. "Unfortunately, I don't have the luxury to tell you our destination, nor do I have the luxury to let you walk, now that you know we're here."
The commander turned to his guards, giving them a commanding look. "Accompany these men into the camp. Set up a tent for them and make them comfortable. I'm sure these travelers..." he said, looking over his shoulder warily, "...would very much like to rest their feet. But don't let them out of sight. If anything happens, find me immediately." Richter began heading back into camp, but not without giving the newcomers a quick nod. "I'd stay and chat, but I have things to attend to. I hope you'll understand. Come, Clair." The commander gestured for his second in command to follow as he began to walk.

"Yes, Commander."
Clair followed Richter away, and Corona followed Clair, somewhat ignored for the present. They looked harmless enough, but... They said they were monks, then corrected themselves. They were out in the midst of the empty plains, with little reason to be there, unless they were going to, or coming from Illia. Also, they'd asked for information on the the army's destination. Not an odd question, but inconvenient for one trying to get a leas on it's enemies. She didn't know if whe would have made the same choice herself, but all the reasoning was sound.
After they were out of ear shot, she asked Richter, "Commander, are we really planning on taking them all the way to Illia with us, or could they be dropped off only part of the way?"

Richter chuckled, giving Clair a quick glance. "Clair, you know as well as I do there is no part of the way," he replied. "If we're going to leave them in the snow to die we might as well kill them now. That is unless Ilia has had a population boom in the years I've been gone." The commander glanced up at the mountains. Their snow capped peaks only sampled the wintry wilderness that was to come. "Besides, the only place I can be sure they won't give our position away to the enemy, whether by choice or not, is at my side, so to speak."
The pink haired man let out a sigh. "Now unless any more funny business happens, I'm heading to bed," he said, saluting Clair. "Good night." The commander then loped off to his tent.

Bantu was pleasantly surprised at being "invited" to stay at the army. "This worked out rather nicely, we can safely watch this army from inside the camp," he whispered to Zigurt. Zigurt grumbled back, "We can't go back to get the others if we go in, we're in this alone if we don't bail now." Bantu responded, "I believe it's worth it. Just don't do anything stupid when we're in like try to escape or turn into a dragon; you would get slaughtered with this many humans."
Some soldiers came to escort them and the two dragons submitted. Bantu thought to himself, "Finally, after 1000 years I am leaving this place."
