OOC:I'm wrapping this up guys, Koga said he's quitting and I wanna carry on with my rp'ing and get a move on,So for now I'm disbanding from the group so I can RP. I apologize for this.
BIC: Zero smirked slyly taking immediate notice of the badly wounded Brigand, noticing a a deep gash going down the side of his head, bleeding profusely and a small arrow wound,he knew his opponent was reeling in pain and in critical condition as it is. That being said Zero needed to finish off the opponent swiftly in order to save Vince's life, after taking notice of his friend's severely damaged armor.
"I've got to finish this once and for all,I need to put this sorry creep out of his misery,I know I'll live after this fight but I'll need to find an Inn soon so I can recover and rest for the night."
Noticing that the Brigand was shouting about in pain as his forehead was bleeding, and also that he was distracted by the arrow protruding out of his arm. Zero quickly took action as he dashed towards his opponent, his eyes filled with cold aggression he found himself dashing a little faster than he had before, by the time the Brigand regained his composure enough to realize the situation at hand, it soon ended. Zero's sword had squarely and cleanly pierced the right eye socket of the brigand, the resulting stab had swiftly and near instant killed him as the brain cavity was just barely pierced, but the damage was done. The Brigand twitched a little bit and collapsed onto the ground staining the grass with his blood.Zero let out a deep breath of relief as he calmly cleaned off the blood and sheathed his sword, and turned to face his companions.
"Well guys,I thank you very much for assisting me in that fight. If you guys weren't there to help me out, I would've likely had been overwhelmed by their might, without a well-thought out plan to pick them off one by one. I am sorry to say this, but I must be taking my leave now. I may run into you guys again later, but for now, I'm going to seek out an Inn in the nearest town."
With that being said,Zero calmly smirked once again, gently moved away a few strands of hair blocking his face as he strolled off to the nearby town that was was within visible distance already.

Vince couldn't help but be a little miffed as his Sacaen companion took off. As he walked towards the town, Vince figured they may run into each other, or they may not.
Be that as it may, Vince was bleeding badly, and might not be able to make it to the town himself. Loosening his armor, he exposed his back and shoulder wounds and poured a dose of vulnerary onto the wounds. The searing pain caused by his wounds disinfecting and closing made him cringe, but he could feel his strength returning. Satisfied, Vince began tightening his armor and checked on his other two companions.
The Bern cavalier, having successfully aided the travelers, had already rode away. He probably has other duties to attend to, Vince mused. He began marching towards the city, and called over his shoulder to the archer, "Coming?"

"I don;t have anything better to do... which is kinda lame. I'll follow along!" Aaron says happily, seemingly not noticing the insult in his sentence. "I need more of those shooty things anyways. You know... the ones I use this stick to fire... well, stick and string... and they're sharp. Oh, now I remember! They're called People killers!" Aaron said happily, as he sauntered after Vince.

Vince couldn't help but chuckle at his new companion. He was naive, almost to the point of being a little clueless, but he seemed to mean well. "Let's get a move on then!" Vince shot a smile over his shoulder, then braced himself for the short march ahead.
They arrived in town at dusk. Fortunately, most of the shops were still open, and the streets were still winding down, with a decent amount of citizens still milling about in the general public. It would appear the rumors were correct, even under occupation, life in Bern hadn't changed much. Nevertheless, the sun was still setting, and he and his companion would need lodging. The main question was whether or not they would be able to get it this late. Sweat beaded on his forehead from the short walk. He could probably sleep on pavement tonight if need be, marching all day in armor, along with the wounds he had sustained in battle, were weighing heavily down on him.
He stood in the middle of the road, his eyes taking in the street. He was already getting plenty of looks from the citizenry, something that Vince had grown quite accustomed to in Ostia and Araphen. He looked down at his companion, "Well, what shall we do?"

"I dunno. Grab an inn or something?" Aaron replied. "It turns out I still have a bunch of them people killers, and I don't have any money, so that would be the best action, I bet." Aaron kept walking, but a dreamy look entered his face. "Such a peaceful town. children running free, people laughing, and everyone looks well-fed. A beautiful and delicate peace." Aaron said, a broad smile on his face as he said this. "Let's burn it!" He said as his face turned maniacal, as he adopted the classical finger twitching villain pose.

Vince stared down his companion, he wasn't sure if he was kidding, or legitimately insane. Well, if it became a problem...Vince would cross that bridge when they came to it. For the moment, he had the benefit of a doubt, there were more important matters at hand.
Feeling a weight in his pocket, Vince frowned as he pulled out a pouch and opened it. Ah...he had picked it up from the bandits. That solved their inn problem, judging from how much there was, they might even be able to get some food the next day. Vince's eyes searched up and down the street before he spotted a sign that read: "The Wyvern's Fire: Traveler's Welcome." Sounded good to Vince, gesturing to Aaron, he walked through the door of the inn.
"W-well hello there!" The lady working in the front had been taken aback by Vince's size, but she recovered nicely and even managed a bright and clear smile. "What can I do for you?" Vince was thankful he had cleaned his armor, people were jumpy enough without him being covered in bandit blood. "We need two beds, doesn't matter where." The lady smiled, took some of the gold that Vince had offered in his hand, and started down the hall. She faltered a moment, looking back at Vince with some concern, "Um...The bed might not--" Vince laughed out loud and replied, "I was aware the bed would probably be too small, I'm used to it."

"we're stopping at an inn? How come there's inns, but no outts?" Aaron asked, as they walked in. skipping as he went, he entered the inn with his eyes closed. "Uhhh, can I get a cat with my bed, by the way? I love having a cat at the end of my bed to warm my feet and purr. helps me sleep." Aaron asked the lady. "Or a dog, but nothing too big. also, preferably nothing rabid. they don't help me sleep at all." He went on, seemingly unaware of how absurd his statements were.

The woman stared at Aaron before slowly replying, "well, uh...We do have a cat here...I could see if..." She trailed off awkwardly and walked away, Vince guessed that was the last they'd see of her tonight. He began unstraping his armor and looked at Aaron, "Tough luck...maybe the cat will jump on your bed while you're sleeping...?" He was bemused, but entertained, things definitely weren't boring with Aaron around.
"Yeah, I'm sure he'll show up, let's get some rest." Vince lifted the bulky shoulder armor over his head, and set his helmet on the night stand as he laid on top of the bed. The mattress was indeed too small, everything below the knee dangled off the bed, Vince smirked as he laid his lance by his side, and closed his eyes.

"well, cats seem to love me --" Aaron said as the cat, now nearby, began to hiss at him "so it will probably happen.". he said with a happy face. "although, I do need to tell you one thing before I fall asleep." He says, getting closer as he said this, in a conspiratorial tone. "sometimes, hwen I'm trying to get to sleep, I get transported to weird places - a different one every time. But sometimes, it's close to reality, and others, I'm shooting people in space, and sometimes I end up flying, or being a pirate. Don't worry if I disappear, though, I always end up back in my bed in a few hours." He whispers as cautiously as he can to his companion. "anyways, night. Don't let the bed bugs bite." Aaron says as he flops into the bed. in less than 5 seconds, he pulls a sheet over him, curls up in the fetal position, and falls asleep.

OoC: Timeskip to the next morning, I've written that your character got up before mine, Aaron, giving you freedom to do what you want, if you'd rather I'd change this I can do it.
Vince's eyes sprang open, he was cold and dripping wet. His hands shot to his lance as he bolted upright on the bed. Once he got his bearings, he realized there was no cause for alarm. The woman he had spoke to last night was standing in front of him holding a bucket of water at her side, she looked nervous, and her eyes were fixed on Vince's lance. "I...sorry..." Vince let go of the lance and slowly raised his hands to show there was no cause for alarm, "you startled me." The innkeeper's eyes were still frightened, and at first she simply nodded before she finally started to relax. "Why did you throw that water on me, anyways?" Vince's eyes searched the room, there was no sign of Aaron.
The innkeeper replied nervously "Well...calling out to you didn't work...neither did shaking you...you even slept through the first bucket of water..." Vince realized practically every inch of his clothing was soaked at this point, "So I slept heavy.....How long have I been asleep?" "Well...it's after lunch time... "WHAT?!" Vince stood up from the bed and reached towards his armor when he remembered his clothes were still soaked. The innkeeper had recoiled at his sudden reaction, but she recovered and addressed him as she left the room, "I'll go ahead and get you some food, you may want to sit by the fire until your clothes dry off...I'm sorry!"
After sitting by the fire and enjoying a hot meal (free, as an apology for the bucket of water), Vince finally set about donning his Ostian knight armor. Grabbing his lance and giving the innkeeper a broad smile (along with the rest of the bandit's money), Vince set off in search of his companion.

Aaron woke up early in the morning, happy as can be. "I hope you had a good slee-oh... my." the attendant said, as she looked up from the inn desk. Aaron, smiling as happily as ever, seemed entirely oblivious to the fact there was currently a puffed up cat with it's teeth through his ears, scratching at his neck. "Good news! The cat decided to sleep with me! Now we're the best of friends!" Aaron said happily, as the cat continued clawing him. "Isn't that right, fluffers?" He asked the cat, only to get a furious spitting noise in response. "hissing is a cat's way of showing affection, ya know." "Uh....sir..." The attendant started, before simply walking away. "I'll make sure the cat doesn't leave, no worries!" Aaron said happily, as he grabbed the cat on his shoulder, while heading for the out door. wrenching it loose from his shoulder, and leaving bloody wounds, he looked at the cat and addressed it calmly, using one hand to keep it away as it tried to use it's forepaws to claw him further. "Now, fluffers, I know ya love me, but I'm just not a one cat kind of guy. Someday, you'll understand that, and you'll find a great new guy to share your love with. One who will stay with ya. But I... am not that man." Aaron says in a sad voice. "Now go... Before I beg you to stay." The cat hisses at him one time before running off. "well, let's see what this town is like."

Vince strode out into the middle of the road. He could already feel the citizens taking notice of him. He wasn't too worried about finding Aaron, they both stood out in a crowd in some way or another, so one was bound to spot the other.
Other matters swam into Vince's mind. He honestly wasn't sure where to start on finding aid. His boss, the ambassador, had the plan, but he was gone now...Vince couldn't help but shiver as he remembered the Sacaen ambush. He gently moved a blustering drunk out of his way as he made his way down the street, taking in the sights of the city and carefully reading signs, looking for some clue of where to go.
Finally, after an hour of walking, Vince spotted an outpost/embassy of sorts. At the very least, the entrance had a detail of soldiers guarding it, meaning that the building served some important function. His mind made up, he figured he'd get into that building, or at the very least find out where he was from the guards. As he drew near, he couldn't help to notice that the soldiers were becoming very interested in him...that didn't bode well. Once he drew within fifteen feet...
"Halt! That's close enough! State your business." The soldier's tone was clipped, precise, and a little panicky, more bad news. Vince drew himself, and made sure his voice was even as he replied, "I come from Lycia, I need to speak with..." Vince hesitated...who exactly was he looking for?..."someone in authority."
The soldier's eyes narrowed, and Vince mentally berated himself. His story was lame, and was made even more suspicious by his hesitation. "Very well...where is your proof of such a story!" the soldier demanded suspiciously. Vince cringed, The letter the ambassador had...I must have burned it... He shook off his fear, "My convoy was ambushed, my ambassador was killed, the letter he carried was destroyed."
Even delivered steadily, the story was still conspicuous. The soldier replied coolly, "Right.....sir, how about you just get on with your business." Vince lost his temper, "This is my business!!" At a signal, the soldiers advanced two paces and readied their spears. The captain spoke with menace in his voice, "I've judged it isn't, move along." Vince stared him down, then had an idea. He detached his chest plate, spreading his arms out so that the captain stared at the armor underneath. The seal of Ostia was emblazoned in the center, the captain stared, "I...I'll see what I can do, sir" he retreated into the building. Vince smiled grimly, "Thank you."

Lord Arder sat in his throne within the command outpost. He had already received the report from his startled captain. An Ostian knight, fairly seasoned looking, requested an audience with "Someone in authority". With no proof of being an envoy, Lord Arder fully expected to listen to the knight drone for a few moments before his lordship would excuse himself to attend to more important matters. He smirked, it was a rare treat when someone without any business managed to get through. He sat up as the door to his chambers opened, and in walked the knight. The knight might be a commander, his figure was imposing, standing over a foot taller than the soldier leading him in. He might be impressed after all...
Vince kept his pace even and slow, doing the "formal march" all knights were trained to do in the presence of authority. The man in the throne was not what he had expected. He looked to be a warrior himself, or at the very least a retired warrior. The man had a bulky frame that had gone slightly to seed, probably from dealing with diplomatic affairs. The soldier in front of Vince slowed to a halt, and Vince stopped at attention behind him.
"Dismissed," he said to the guard in a casual tone that hid the power of his command. "Good day to you, soldier, you may address me as Lord Arder, what brings you here?" he held the same casual tone that he had used with the soldier. Vince recognized that the Lord Arder was already disinterested, and so he saluted respectfully and cast out all of his emotion as he stepped forward to speak.
The knight addressed him robotically, "Your lordship, I come to you as--" Lord Arder frowned, "No formalities, get to the point." he commanded, trying not to sound too harsh...yet. The knight took a breath and dropped to a more natural sounding tone, "I come from Lycia, I have a diplomatic mission, I need to speak with someone in charge of Bern's forces." Lord Arder couldn't help but smile, the knight spoke direct, like a proper warrior, while maintaining a sense of formality, perhaps they were kindred spirits. "It seems you may be at the right place then," Lord Arder controlled his voice, no need to be informal, "I act as a liaison between Bern's higher generals and the body of Bern's forces."
Vince smiled, he had gotten very lucky, "Then, Lord Arder, I come with a plea for aid from Lycia, the devastation of our capital, of which I'm sure you're aware..." Lord Arder nodded grimly, "A great loss." Vince was mildly surprised, he seemed fairly sincere. "Thank you, anyways, the loss of our capital has left Lycia in an awkward position..." Vince struggled to recall his dead ambassador's words...He couldn't remember, so he decided to just say it straight up, "We need assistance in fighting Etruria...we wish to repay them for their deeds." Anger swelled within Vince as he finished his sentence, he struggled to maintain composure.
Lord Arder frowned again, legitimate or not, this was a claim he was unable to meet. Bern and Lycia always shared poor relations, with Bern considering Lycia it's inferior. The domination had changed some things...but, for the moment, Bern was unchanged. If anything, they needed aid from Lycia in dealing with Ilia, but he couldn't say that. It was a stalemate that would have to be solved at another time. Lord Arder dropped his tone and spoke sincerely, "We can't do anything to help...As you know, Bern has it's own struggles, and our military is currently tied in its own affairs..." He met Vince's eyes grimly, and they both nodded, Arder didn't need to speak of Ilia for Vince to get the message."So...I'll hope you forgive me when I tell you your country's request is denied, and that you should leave at once."
Vince sighed, he understood full well Bern's situation, and the ambassador had warned of this happening, but if he could just--"Lord Arder, I ask that you--" the Lord cut him off, "You've received my response, envoy," his tone dropped, and his attitude became much more sincere as he said, "You've earned my respect, I wouldn't want to have you thrown out like some petty fool..." Vince closed his eyes, but then nodded and opened them again as he gave Lord Arder a dutiful salute. "I understand sir, I will take my leave of you, then." Arder nodded, and added, "I'm sorry." Vince gave a informal wave without looking, he was on the way out anyway.
Back in town, Vince stopped at a store and purchased some traveling rations, he stopped by the inn where he had been earlier, left a message for Aaron, and set out to seek other ways to avenge Ostia.

Aaron returned to the inn, looking around. "errr... Someone left a message for you, uh.... Aaron, was it?" A woman said, coming in. "Hmmm... really?" Aaron said. "that's nice of him. wonder what it's about?" He asked. "oh god, I TOTALLY bet it's about large steaks! God do I love those.... when they're cooked, that is. Tried a raw one once. The farmers yelled at me and told me to get out of the fields, so I said goodby to Mr. cow and ran off." Aaron babbled. "Anyways, I best go find Vince. I'll just follow my nose and find him. He smells funny, after all... Like fine wine.". Aaron said, rushing off before hearing the message.
