Aerious sensed the darkness pulling out of Richter. As if a candle had been lit in a dark room, the shadows seemed to vanish into the night sky. Richter went down, and as he caught his breath he questioned him again. Typical.
Though in a case like this, Aerious supposed he could understand it. Possession of something living could not be something common...wait...if they could control living bodies, were they able to control and move dead ones too? He'd have to look into this more. For now, he supposed he could indulge the human.
[red]"That."[/red] He began. [red]"Was what my kind had kept in check for thousands of years. They can overpower you, but not us. They fear us. It likely came into you when you attempted to drain the essence of one of those creatures."[/red] His power relaxed, and he assumed his more human form. His draconic features hiding behind the guise of humanity once more. [red]"When humans claimed the planet, they must have found another way to keep these...shall we call them dark souls...in check. Whatever you used, it's growing weaker now, which is why they are breaking free. My kind is no longer numerous enough to keep them subdued by fear, which means they have begun to rise up and sweep across Elibe. From what I have seen, they are quite good at manipulating the form of whatever they control. Had I not expelled that from you, in time you would likely have looked much like the fallen soldiers of that fort that we killed earlier today."[/red]
He figured Richter would not understand what he made mention to, so he explained a bit clearer. [red]"Did you not think it odd that some of those creatures walked and held weapons like a man would? They didn't just come from nowhere..."[/red]
