"I suggest we use another Caravan as Bait with Baron von muscle riding inside of it while Vincent and I stay behind in the trees."
"With their guard lowered Mr.Muscle can get the upper hand surprising them and keeping the attention while Vincent and I come from behind to attack."
"Now, for our battle positions I suggest Mr.muscle target the weaker units since you can easily over power them, while Vincent heads for the leader, and since I cannot attack I will stay in the back healing you both." Liror Said sternly
"if everything goes according to plan the weaker units should be down first leaving only the commander and I doubt he can handle all 3 of us." Liror said with a smirk looking towards the forest. "And by the way Mr.Muscle before or after this is over I would like to learn your name." Liror said gesturing to Burt.
"Now, shall we be off?"

Vincent looked at the priest questioningly. "I'm not sure I'd be the best choice to face their leader. I'm still fairly new and they're trained soldiers. But a surprise could be good. Are we able to get a hold of say any explosives? Put them in the back of the cart and blow a number of them away? But what do you think? You'd be in the most danger," Vincent asked looking at Burt. "But we'll need to ensure one of them is conscious and well lest we never find their hideout." Vincent wasn't used to planning battles like this. He realized though that it would be a good habit to start.

Baron von Muscles, thought Burt to himself. He was not sure for a moment if the young lad was talking about him. There was no body else around so it had to be him. The only real problem was Burt did not consider himself to be that muscular to receive a nick name like that. Sure he had a wide chest and bulging biceps, but there were surely men out there who were more powerful than him. Well from their point of view he could see how they could come up with such a nick name.
Liror gave his plan and immediately Burt started to get a bit worried. He did not like the option of two vs ten people. Especially since those ten people had military training. The only way Burt even imagined them turning this battle into their advantage if they could find a way to separate them out into one on one battles. Other than that they would be over ran and killed quickly. However Burt kept his doubts to himself for the moment. He wanted to get a view of the situation before he started to rain down negativity.
"Oh, forgive my manners", spoke Burt. "My name is Burt, traveling Historian and chronicler. As for my opinion on the plan", spoke Burt as a crossed expression crossed his face. "Well to put it bluntly I think it is stupid. Not that I am insulting you friend", spoke Burt as he raised a had toward Liror. It is just the idea of going up against ten cavaliers at once does not sound wise to me. I would suggest first determine where they are camping for the night, and then come back and strike at the dead of night. We could used the darkness as our shield and try to take out as many of them as possible before they realize we are there. Remember they are cavalry. They have the advantage in mobility. If we do not cripple that out right we might as well be blades of grass", spoke Burt.

"I suppose you are correct, But" Liror said while pulling out a blank sheet and some ink with a feather, He started drawing out the supposed layout of the forest along with the bandit camp and the cart.
"this seems to be a very risky plan, while using darkness as a shield would work in this case being as were in a forest it could also be the death of us." Liror said closing his eyes trying to think
"Say perhaps the bandits push us away from their camp and we to are in total darkness, darkness on its own is a double edged sword my friend so perhaps one of the men we manage to get is able to call for help or worse injure us and possibly putting all of our lives in danger."
"I suggest we come up with a new plan together unless you wish to continue with your recent plan be my guest but let me just add it wont be my fault if we end up slaughtered by some bandits, and in my defense that is not how I wish to go out Mr.Burt" Liror said staring directly at Burt

"If you were that concerned you would have left by now," Vincent pointed out grinning at Liror. "This is going to be tough and risky no matter how you swing it. But perhaps hit and run tactics over the course of three nights? In theory the first night we can deal with at least three and run before they know what happened. The second they'll be on the alert but if we're sneaky we can lure the guards away and deal with them. Then on the final day we take care of the rest." Vincent was making it up as he went but he felt it was a solid plan. Theoretically it was perfect even.

"Your words speak true Liror darkness is a double edged sword", spoke Burt. "However Vin has a good point. Hit and run tactics are probably the best choice. However I wonder if we can sweeten the pot a little bit. once we hit them the first time they are going to be looking. Even if we escape them they are probably not going to be in the same place they use to be. After the first assault they will probably move out and find a new spot. With their greater mobility it will take us a while to catch up to them, and by that time they would have sold their ill gotten goods and been on their merry way. I suggest we use hit and run tactics, but we finish it all in one night."
Burt began to draw circles and lines in the dirt. "Since they are riders their horses have to be mustered some where. I suggest we cut their ropes and set their tales on fire. That will send the horses running off in fear and in a panic. Some of the guys will go and give chase after the horses. The others will remain in the camp to protect their ill gotten gains. From there we can deal with a depleted force. Instead of fighting ten horsemen. We instead end of fighting maybe four or three lightly armored infantry.

"That's brilliant!" Vincent exclaimed. "We won't be able to retrieve all the goods but whatever we can carry should be enough, and the riders will be in complete dissaray giving the villagers time to recover and maybe get them hunted down. Burt you're a genius. Liror, will you help us? You can be the one to release the horses, that way you stay out of combat."

"Hm..." Liror thought for a moment running the plan through his head. "Very well, I will be apart of this plan if everything goes according to plan then we get the loot back, not everyone has to be injured and there is less of a chance of us being injured."
"if our plan is ready our next course of action should be to find where they are at in the forest and by the time we do that it should be dusk, or would you two prefer to wait until dusk then make our way to the forest i'm fine with either decision."

"I say we move out now", spoke Burt. He did not even put the subject up to debate. This was a raid. They needed to have all the information before they move out. Waiting to the last minute would just complicate things, and more than likely lead to their horrible demise. "Like you said Liror", spoke Burt as he turned around. "I have no desire to die in sacea at this time. I have a book to write", spoke Burt as he began to follow the tracks. As he walked Burt pulled out his axe and began to run a stone across its edge. A sharp weapon is a good weapon.

"Well, my Name is Liror I am 15 years old, i'm a priest which I assume you already figured out, I have been traveling for a couple of months now and my home town is on the edge of the Nabata desert, I started my training as a priest when I was 11 years old and started to travel about 4 years later."
"Anything more you wish to know?"

Vincent considered the priest's words a moment. "That covers all he basics I suppose. I'm from a farm in Lycia. I'm 17 and I'm training to become a mercenary because I need to watch my best friend's back. Too bad we got separated. Makes it a bit difficult. So how about you Burt?" The boy asked again looking straight ahead into the wooded area. Soon enough they would be preparing for their conflict and time for small talk would soon be over.

Nothing like personal information to strengthen team bonds thought Burt to himself as the others told of themselves. It was quite interesting how people loved to share personal information with total strangers when they get ready to go into a life and death situation. He wondered if it had something to do with the idea of being remembered or the idea of leaving something behind once they die. Memories, though fleeting, are sometimes more precious than gold.
"My name is Burt", he spoke. "I was born and raised in Bern till I was the age of seven, or was it eight. Well either way I left my home town to move to Lycia. There I was apprenticed a historian and was trained to be one myself. Over time however I ended up becoming more of a chronicler than a historian and that ended up taking me out into the field. As for the book I ma writing", spoke Burt as he pulled out his notes. "I am trying to record the history of all the tribes in sacae and write them down into one book. Sacean history is a blank in many libraries in lycia. I plan to change all of that. "

"Wow, that sounds big. We definitely can't let you go down in the fight." Vincent watched and to himself counted the final steps, one, tow, three; they were outside the woods. "Alright, I guess it's time to be quiet and sneaky. The others nodded in agreement.
In the woods it was far harder to follow the tracks of the Ten Riders but broken branches and flattened leaves would keep them on the right path. It was an effort from all three of them but they were doing it. Vincent felt like he was a part of a team, and at the time, he was. Finally after an hour of silence it was broken by the winnie of a horse. The three exchanged glances all knowing what they must do from here.
Vincent's stomach churned nervously. This would be the first time he had thrown himself into conflict, as well as his first time fighting a trained soldier. If they messed up they were dead no matter how you looked at it. With a dead breath he prepared his mind peaking at all the bandits from a distance, he drew his blade and waited for Liror to do his part.
One single moment he thought. He could flee now and ensure his survival or stay and be true to his word. No he never had a choice, to do nothing would leave him with regrets. He hardened his resolve and prepared.
The bandits were a mixture of men, all joking and talking as friends would. "Did you see the haul today? It was insane? So much gold." Said one. "Well of course we'll be getting by just fine for a while," said another. "But I think the boss is real into those weapons we found. I mean have you ever seen black metal that doesn't break?" "Who cares about that. Think of the gold they'll bring. So much GOLD." The bandits continued on like this for a while.

"How could they be so cruel and heartless?" Liror whispered to his comrades Liror started scanning the camp noticing the horses tied up eating some hay.
Liror pulled out a small piece of cloth and some oil from his bag "Whenever your ready i'll sneak over to the stalls and light it on fire while cutting the horses free."
