But even then, Sony would STILL be losing money.

I like the DS better than the PSP (although Liberty city was a great game too!) but I think the PS3 is simply stronger and better than the Wii. And I'm not talking about 'innovation' but, simply put, PS3 is a beast. A BEAST. It's power is unbelievable. And one thing that really got me was the free online play with ANYONE in the world. I have Resistance (which is awesome), Motorstorm (ZOMGZ), virtua fighter (nothing new, quite good) and a flight simulator (blazing angels, crappy campaign but fun to do.) How many of you guys have actually played with the PS3? You will be stunned by it's graphics. The Wii is fun, I admit that, but for me - your average lazy slob- sitting in front of the console WITHOUT all that interaction, is exactly what I want. You know one of the best games on the gamecube has "kiddy" grapics? I'm talking about Zelda Wind Waker. Also the fact Nintendo could do grapics almost as good as microsoft and sony can but they don't show off says alot. Look at RE4 and LoZ:TP they were just as good if not better grapics wise then the PS2 and Xbox. The wii is stronger then the cube grapics wise.

Did I ever say it was stronger then the PS3? NO. l2r Matis. We don't know the full limits of the Wii grapics becuase like I said, on the cube they didn't use it to the fullest so why start now.

I still believe the PS3 and X360 can do more(graphically) than the Wii. The X360 has(probably) the superior graphical power, but the PS3 has the best core power there is, allowing for higher amounts of loading, which in turns means more effects and things going on screen at the same time.

Why do people who own a Wii always start debates where they bash PS3?
Insecurity? Fear to lose the console war again?
(That probably won't be happening, because, YES, PS3 is a really expensive. On the other hand, they're Sony, they can take hits, because they sell other items. Xbox has the biggest advantage because they damn Microsoft covering their backs. They don't care if they lose money as long as they sell lots.)

Yes I was "bashing" the PS3. Or was I saying Nintendo forced a price drop too soon. Now that the PS3 is cheaper their going to lose alot more money per system sold. They're going to lose about $600 PER PS3 SOLD. That's alot of money to lose on one system alone.

Why waste the money in gameing if their loseing money on each system sold? It's like burning money or wipeing your ass with 600 bucks.

Because when they've sold enough consoles (a majority of the consoles in fact) they can start making profit on each game sold.

No, no XBox is losing money as well. and yes the 'Gaming division' of Sony will have lost money, but since they are currently winning the blue ray/hd dvd war and they are selling televions they will have made lots of money by then.
Also, people will start buying a PS3 just to use it as a Blue ray Player. AND you get an extra gaming system. And they will start making even more money.
IF they win the blue ray thingie. But that's almost certain.

But they'll have to sell alot of systems just to catch up with Nintendo. As cheep as the Wii is Nintendo is still able to pull of gaining money on each system. They know how to make it as cheap as possible and still able to take alot of damange before it stops working. IE G4 did an experiment of how bad they could beat a system before it wouldn't work. One test the Xbox was broken, wouldn't even boot up. Took like 5 test for the ps2. After basicly going through hell the cube finnaly stopped working. Like I've said before my ps2 broke for almost no reason, so with the PS3 being so much and if I had one and it did the same would I be more likely to go out and get another one? Now if my Wii broke I pay Nintendo and ship it to them and it's being fixed and sent back. Or I could get a new one because it's cheap, well if I can find one first.
