That's the latest book that I've been reading since I went to New York. It's a great book, it's about a man who almost killed a kid for attacking a dragon kit when he was a child. He left home almost right away after saveing the kit. He wondered the world alone doing odd jobs to earn money to live. One day in the captial of a country he was forced to join the army. He got done with training and had to protect the wall. It went down and he survived. He became light calivery and his whole unit was wiped out. He then did something people concidered crazy. Became a dragon flier. After months of fighting and bonding with his dragon and meting a woman in his squad and falling in love he becomes a hero. His dragon dies and he gets a new one and gets close to it. His girl dies in battle and he swears revenge. Now I have to get the second book to see how that war ends

And Matthias is right. If you're going to post about a book so others can read it's awesomeness, then only post a snipet of it, not a summary of the story. >_>

That is a smaaaaaaaaaal part of it. I didn't even say how he gained respect. I didn't even say anything about how the battles went and that junk. It's by Chris Bunch.

ah Bunch, I've read his stuff before. And finding out the love interest dies is a major plot point. And his dragon dies. I really could care less exactly how the battles go, the books are all about the characters.

^Exactly...more or less. Battles almost always end with the good guy winning in the end, with a few exceptions, like Matrix's tie, or when the evil one beats the crap out of the main character once or twice before being ultimately defeated by a 15000 times stronger main character 15 minuts later.

He didn't get close to the dragon that died, hell he didn't even give it a name. Hell it's a dead given that his girl dies. Alot of the time when a hero falls in love on the battle feild, his love usely dies and he goes to get revenge. :/ there is more I could say to help my cause but it's something that goes along with the character type and if you were to read it I don't want to give that part away too.
