Well, I finished reading yesterday night. Far better than the rest, though still lacking in comparison of some stories, such as the Legacy of Kain series(even if it's a game, it's one of the best stories I've seen).
I didn't like how she(J.K. Rowling) seemed to pull the Death Relics out of her ass. She seemed to have needed an excuse for Harry being able to kill Voldemort, and used them as said excuse. She mended the error in the chapter where Albus and Harry talk in Harry's mind.
The rest was good, though. I liked the darker turn the series took with the final few books.

The Deadly Hallows aren't the thinng that bothered me, more that the way she made things happen just to close matters. Like Peters death, that was about as random as it gets.

Peter Pettigrew, AKA, Wormtail(is that the English name? All I did was translate the Spanish name he was given).
And yeah, it was pretty much sudden.

Oh right, that Peter. Yeah, like when Dumbledor said in Book three "I guarantee, one day you will be very glad you saved Wormtail." I was waiting for it, and then the king of anti climaxes.

Didn't you ever wonder how Harry's cloak could have been used so much and passed down from his father when We all know that invisibility cloaks wear out(spells stop, magical creature hair turns opaque...ect.)?

Hermione actually says in regards to Fred and George's "Headless Hats" that.
"I mean, an invisibility spell is pretty advanced, and to make it so large I'd imagine the duration of the charm would be very short."
So yes, maybe the cloak wasn't pulled out of her ass. I like how the Elder Wand KNEW if you beat it's master, even if the wand itself was not there.

Well, maybe.
And can someone explain the "Elder Wand" part to me? As far as I recall, Dumbledore supposedly had it, and in the end, Harry says Draco is it's true owner, and since he took it from him, now the wand's power is his to command.
I'm sure there's something I'm missing there, but...

Ok, end of Book six. Harry and Dumbledore arrive back from hunting Horocruxes on top of the tower. Draco bursts through the door and Dumbledore silently body binds Harry, Draco then uses this chance to disarm Dumbledore. Draco forcibly disarmed Dumbledore against his will, that means he defeated him. The Elder wand obeys whomever defeats it's previous owner, hence it is now Draco's, even if he doesn't know it. The Elder Wand is buried with Dumbledore.
Later:
Harry, Ron, Hermione and that crew are at the Malfoy manner, when Harry disarms Malfoy. He has defeated him in combat. That is why when Harry squares off with Voldemort at the very end he says.
"It all comes down to weather that wand in your hand knows I disarmed Malfoy two weeks ago, because if it does, I am the true owner of the Elder Wand."

I didn't remember Malfoy disarming Dumbledore in the sixth book. Now it all makes sense. Thanks, Lumino.

I just read it. It sucked. Seriously. All previous books were light and easy, and now you get a bad written book where half of the characters die. Pissed me off. It seemed as if she wanted to be taken 'serious'. Only 'serious' books have characters who get killed. And when I read the epilogue, I noticed that Ginny (whose relation with Harry doesn't get a lot of attention, really, not enought to assume they were going to marry. Same with Ron and Hermione, or whatever) didn't have any say in the choice of names. Pissed me off.

She had said that the 7th book would be the "darkest" one. And, if you hadn't noticed, the story got darker with each passing book.
Besides, you can't just go and have the book be "light and easy", when the previous one has Voldemort literally taking over the entire world(of magic, at least), and the strongest good wizard dying.

I don't know, even the previous one was still funny and happy and all that. This one was definitely different from the other ones.
