They had walked this time around, instead of the usual rush and running. The rain hadn't stopped yet, and two days had passed since they had left the village at the border.
"So, Dray'Gon..." Matis started. He, just like the rest, wanted to know more about the newest member of the group. "You are half dragon and half human, right? When I was young, my father would tell me stories about your race."
"Long ago, in ancient times, humans and dragons co-existed peacefully, living a prosperous life. But then, something terrible happened. War started, and many lifes were lost. Those humans that were in favor of co-existing with dragons settled somewhere in the desert of Nabata, and the dragons used their magic to make never-ending sandstorms. No one has ever found that town, but it seems like it DOES indeed exist."

Dray'Gon responded without turning his attention from the path ahead. "Indeed. Your father knew much. Many of us wish to stay secluded, and protected from the rest of the world, to prevent a relapse of the war so long ago. I had felt the same when I was growing up, but as times change, so can change occur within people."
Dray'Gon paused a moment in his speech, and then turned to look at Matis. "It wasn't until recently when we began to have troubles with bandits. While they did not find the city itself, they still plauge the deserts which we used to roam freely. They have attacked many of us without provocation. Our race is strong, but our number is few, and the number of bandits have been steadily increasing."
Dray'Gon then turned his attention forwards again. "I chose, against the wishes of my clan, and race, to seek outside help. I saw what others refused. These bandits would eventually find us, and when they do..." Dray'Gon could not finish the sentence. He just lowered his head, and then as if breaking free of a trance, he shook his head, and said, "We must continue forwards. We must stop these bandits at all costs!"

'We aren't actually going to the bandit stronghold. We aren't ready for that, we are suppose to meet up with a few allies here... Any idea where they are, Matis?'

Dray'Gon frowned at that, but then regained his stern composure. While he wanted to take out the bandits around his home area, he realized it was wiser to build up a bigger force. If my own kind cannot deal with the threat around our home, how can such a small group hope to do better. We certainly will need a larger force. I just pray by the time we are ready, that we are not too late.

"Maybe they havent made it yet." Katara suggested. "Marcus was supposed to meet us here, I'm sure tha they'lll be with him" She added. "I htink we should just relax a bit, we did just save a village from bandits" She laughed.

Matthias listened to the group's conversation without saying a word. Being back in Ostia made him uncomfortable, and he was all for leaving as soon as possible. "We attacked a bandit base once, remember? that's how we lost Jaffar. Personally, I don't want to see any of you die just yet. We'd be better off tryin' ta find more people ta join. Maybe some mercenaries..." he drifted off, scratching some stubble that had begun growing on his chin. "It also wouldn't hurt if you'd take some time to train Katara and Sokka, Matis. They've both got a lot of potential, and with the right trainin'..." He drifted off, glancing at the two young warriors. "Though I'm with Katara on one thing, we need a break. We went straight from Santaruz to that village. A few days of trainin' and restin' would help a lot."

"Most certainly, Matthias. In fact, there is more than one reason behind coming to Ostia once again. First of all, I want to see if I can find any information on Kenshin's whereabouts. It's been already three months since he went with Albel to the Sacae plains, and perhaps Ostian scouts have seen him. Second, is, as you have stated, to take a rest. We will be more than welcome at Ostia's castle, especially when we saved it once. Even more so now that Marcus is in charge of it. Third, was to look for others that would want to join such a crazy plan. I doubt there will be any, but I haven't lost hopes yet."
Matis then remembered Matthias' remark on training Sokka and Katara, and turned to those two, but seeing that only Katara was there. "Where is Sokka? Anyway, as for training you, I was actually planning to do so, but I won't force you if you don't want to."

OoC: My part takes place when you guys had started a few hours before your current converstaion starts.
BiC: Kenshin seen a small group of people who looked armed in the distance. "I think that's them." Kenshin and Albel start to hurry toward where the other group was heading. "Hopefully if it's not them they are not hostal."
A few hours later Kenshin and Albel gets close enough to pick out a face or two. "I think the guy carrying the bow is Matthias. That must be Matis' group, if not maybe Matthias would know where he is." Kenshin was tired from his non stop trip. "Albel, go ahead of me and see if it's them and slow them down so I can catch up." Kenshin started to walk slowly.

"Alright. I'll pass the word that your near by." Albel's horse started to pick up it's pace as it galluped(OoC:Spelling?) towards the group. After a few minutes at full speed the horse started to slow down as it finnaly made it's way to the group.
Albel looked at the faces in the crowd and seen Matis. "Matis, Kenshin is on his way here. He sent me ahead to let you know to slow down so he could catch up."

(OOC: Sorry about that. I deleted the post, the realized I could express the same thing in a different way. :/ I hope the post I deleted no longer counts for my number of posts)
Dray'Gon had been watching a member of the group for some time, the Wyvern Rider. It was a bit suprising to him to see a human, and one of dragon kind to be workign together as one. Granted, it was a lesser species of dragon, but Dray'Gon still had hopes that one day, his kind would no longer have the need to hide away from the rest of the world.
He had been preoccupied by the Wyvern Rider that he didn't notice the Nomad that was coming upon their group until they spoke with Matis. Dray'Gon was caught by suprise, and then cursed himself for allowing himself to be distracted. What if they had been a bandit. Dray'Gon delgated all of his attention to the journey at hand.

OoC: Both yours and Alan's posts are still in the count, so I will take them out. Also, I deleted Alan's post, since it made no sense at all, being left there alone.
BiC: Matis was happy to hear that both Kenshin and Albel were not only still alive, but actually in the very place they were going to. Matis then told everyone to come with him, and they all started walking to where Kenshin was. He was below a tree, laying on the grass, out of energy.
Upon seeing him, Kenshin got up, and they hugged each other. They were best friends back when the tribe was still alive, and now, they met again after months of not seeing each other.
"So...how did the trip go?" Matis asked. "I bet that by now, you have heard about everything that happened in Santaruz. I'm happy to say that we have taken Santaruz back from the bandit's hands."

Matthias didn't recognize the man who had come up, but apparently Matis did. He did notice that the nomad carried a bow, and felt some relief. "It's nice to know someone else knows how to use one of those," he muttered. Then, Albel's words sunk in. "Kenshin? You mean to tell me he's still alive? I figured he'd fallen offa the face of da earth or somehin'," he looked around. Maybe there was still hope that some of his old companions yet lived. He half expected to see Rath or Flyssa pop up.
OoC: man can dream, can't he?

OoC:Actly guess who I spoke to in an email eariler. Flyssa, his computer crashed and he needs the link and he'll return. I told Rath to come back but he never did.
BiC:"I spoke to the king of Bern. I have a bad feeling that he's up to something. Once I told him that Ostia was weak and needed help, he sent aid. I just got done talking to Sain when I heard about your group. By the sounds of it you got all of the action. When I was on my way to Bern I ran into Rath again but he went ahead of me and I never seen him again." Kenshin then took the slim sword and gave it to Matis. "I belive this belongs to you. I bribed one of Bern's soilders and got me an Iron blade."

OoC: I told Rath about one or two weeks ago to come here. And he did. He posted on the Chat Box, and I think he even posted once or twice, but then left again.
BiC: "Keep it. I have all I need right here." Matis replied, showing a blue scabbard with golden markings hanging from his waist. He then looked at Kenshin's new Iron Blade(which by the way, has no usage markings in your signature). It seemed pretty strong, but also heavier than most normal swords. Kenshin would be able to use it flawlessly, anyway.
"So...why do you think Bern would aid Ostia, especially when Bern has been in war with every other country all these years? And what happened to Sain? Did his mother's death make him drop out of the fight?(hint hint)"
