OOC: I would assume after many many years, the scouring would have become what the Biblic Flood is now, more legend then truth.
Lumino shot an angry glare to the shaman (Brad).
"I might not be so privledged as you, to know that these freakish monsters still exist here. They should all be dead so we can go back to the peaceful lives we had, this war is about him isn't it? Where ever dragons go there is going to be battle!" He took a step or two back from the two shamans and thier "friend." "Screw this, I'd rather take my chances with the humans then with the monsters!"
And with no other words he turned and ran back towards the battlefield, disappearing into the violence.

Zeiss gathered his strength and pulled Dray'Gon up. 'Brad, help me. We have to him to the castle.'

Matthias attempted to push forward, but he didn't seem to have the support he'd expected. Desperation drove him, and he did more than his share of damage. Still, things were not looking good. If it kept up like this, they'd have to retreat.

ooC: Arcadia isn't common knowledge, but Brad has access to texts most people don't. It is possible for him to have found out about a legendary city. He'd more hear of some nebulous, legendary community. Also, as Lumino pointed out, the Scouring is viewed sort of like Biblical legends. My end point: they're both sort of right.
Alexia sighed in frustration at seeing her companions argue amongst themselves. She shot a meaningful look at Brad, hoping he got the drift: he'd put his foot in his mouth. "Yes, I'll take him to the castle. Can one of you follow the young mage? He can't be wondering around by himself, he'd not that powerful," without waiting for a reply, she stooped down and gathered Dray'Gon from Zeiss's arms, into her saddle. He was deceptively heavy, given his human size. She sincerely hoped that nobody attacked her...

'I'll talk some sense into the boy.' Zeiss said. He followed the blue cloak that vanished between two houses.

Katara hit another man over the head with her sword. Her eyebrows were furrowed into a shard V shape, showing her aggravation. No matter how many you knocked down, more came. She let out a shriek as she charged at an axeman, taking off his head, her blade stained crimson. She saw that mage agian, the little boy who thought he was better than dragons. She was raised with stories of the dragons' might and majesty, and what a sad time it was when they were at war with them. She blindly hacked off a soldier's arm and slid her katana into his chest.

Sokka caught back up to Dray'Gon and Alexia. "Did his dragonstone run out?" He asked. He had missed some things that happened around this area, he was busy holding fighters and brigands off the archers. "Let me help," he said.

Lumino ran through the war zone. Luckily nobody was paying him too much mind, they were focusing on the people bent to kill them. If someone was running, it meant they weren't trying to kill them. Without even thinking as to where he was going, he rounded a corner and crashed into a brigand. Lumino fell backwards to the ground as the large axe wielder turned around and raised his axe. Before it could fall, a sword placed it's way into his arm, and cut through his chest. Amid the shower of blood, Lumino caught sight of a female sword wielder, looking like a Sacean. (Katara)
His voice lost in his throut after that ruthless display of violence, he remained on the ground where he was, hoping that anyone looking for a fight would ignore him.
I just want this hell to end...I want to go home....

'Open the gate!' Alan yelled as he spotted Alexia riding towards the gate. Alan flew by her and attacked the Bern soldiers that pursued her.

OOC: Zeiss, I'm not trying to be rude, but you need to understand this. I'm roleplaying someone who is not a brave valliant warrior, not a mighty mage, not a cunning and foolhardy thief, or anything else. He is a BOY, and he has never been in real combat before. That kind of speech will only serve to push him further away. But think about this for a second, play your character. If Zeiss would care, then by all means continue to try. But if Zeiss really wouldn't care, or would view it as too much trouble, then don't force him to do something he wouldn't.
Above what I WANT Lumino to do, what is more important is what he WOULD do. At least that's how I roleplay.
ANYWAY
IC:
Everyone was insisting he participate in this bloodshed. Lumino didn't understand it, how could they so calously cut down all of their foes? They were humans too! They had lives, family and lovers. What made their life less important then ours?
"You disgust me! Get out of my way! I'll never fight with you murderers! Get away from me!" His speech was driven more by fear then by anger, but he didn't stop, and ran past the female sword wielder, continuing his random path through the battle. If he survived this...he didn't know what he'd do. But the first thing he'd do is visit a church. But that implied that he survived, which was looking less and less likly every moment.

OoC: Yeah, Lumino is a boy. and Zeiss is a darkly sarcastic pain in the butt.
Matthias noticed something moving close to him. He focused on the movement, and saw the young boy from earlier. "Dammit, that kid barely looks old enough to have wandered out of the academy. What the hell were his trainers thinking... Quit that!" the last was directed to a rather weak myrmidon, who had been trying to hurt Matthias, and failing miserably. The archer pulled out his short bow and finished the moron, and followed the boy. He knew he had things he should be doing, like leading the troops, but he had to make certain the young man was safe.

A frisky bandit got too close, and Alexia kicked him off. "Keep them off me!" she yelled at Sokka, her voice coming out higher than normal. "Dray'Gon's entirely too heavy for me to fight effectively!" Thankfully, Alan had greatly thinned the forces pestering her, especially the flying ones. "Look, I just think Dray'Gon's exhausted. I don't know enough about the circumstances... We have to get him to the healers in the castle! Now.... ahhh!!!" the last came out in a shriek as she felt something tearing at her body. She almost fell out of the saddle, and her grip on the heavy Manakete slackened. An impressive figure in dark robes stepped from the shadows, ignoring the fight around him. "It is my pleasure to end the life of the beast that thou carries," he explained, his voice raspy and sinister. He hefted a tome that Alexia recognized. Luna, the tome that cut through defenses, a decent shot from that would fell the young cavalier... Alexia continued moving, pushing past the gates. The cloaked figure followed.

"Hang in there Alexia!" Sokka said. He ran at the druid. "Take this!" He yelled, whipping out his brave sword. "Four hits in a row should do you a world of good!" He yelled. Four hits, and the druid retreated, barely alive. "Alexia!" Sokka said, running back to the struggling cavalier. "We're in the castle now, Let me find a healer for both you and Dray'Gon. You just set him down and rest."
