"My guess is, that is either a newspaper or somekind of sheriff. You know. The one who pays the bloody bounty hunters and mercenaries and alike. My opinion? Find a hole and hide in it. I mean, I got loot enough when I, uh, killed Roland and freed Ostia. That's reasonable, no? Not cowardly, reasonable. Smart. Clever. Cunning. And whatnot."
Crowley spoke swiftly. Whoever this Etrurian guy was, he wanted the people who killed the heroes, dead. Crowley had to admit to himself that he was afraid. He himself was a mercenary and he remember hunting down small time criminals who had a bounty on their heads. But never he had heard of such a high bounty. This will attract high-class bounty hunters. The type that never gives up. And they mostly travel in group. Smart mercenaries never travel alone.
"This is going to be a little different from killing bandits." Then he raised his finger and brightened up.
"BUT! Since I found these papers on a dead messenger, it's probable that the news hasn't spread to the closest village! We might still be able to find ourselves an inn. And a bed. And drinks." He grinned but immediately frowned again. He couldn't tell his story then... it would only worsen the situation. Too many people knew them already...

'Sound good to me.' Zeiss said, flat-out lying. Crowley you fool, we wouldn't be in this situation if you didn't insist on becoming famous. Oh well, they wouldn't be able to tell who I am because I never take my hood off. I'll stay with them a little longer but I'm not gonna go hide under a rock, I've got work to do.

Crowley's eyes went from right to left and back again. He was nervous. He was in overdrive. His brain, a rather small but well functioning one, was going through hundreds of possibilities. He then came to two conclusions.
"Okay. See this red scarf? I belong to an organisation. We all wear red scarves. I'm hoping that they still like me, otherwise we're screwed. We've got a few hundred people across elibe. Me and my mates were the last active ones, the rest are retired. One of the guys I used to work with lives in Sacae. That's an option. I don't recall exactly where... but it's on our route, right? Huh? R-Right? Right? Okay. But wait! Wait! I've got more! Really! Okay, second option, my friends, comrades, if you want, is going back to Ostia or Santaruz. Okay, okay, they'll find us easily there and Ostia is dangerously close to Etruria, but the people and their leaders love us their! They adore us!" Satisfied with his clever, cunning, smart answer/solution. Crowley calmed down and became his aimable, cool, smooth self.
He loved himself. So much that he didn't like being hunted down. Heroes? No problem. Assassins? Certain doom.

"Yeah, we could do that," Wylie began, "or we could go back to Etruria."
Seeing the appalled expression on Crows face, he spoke again. "Think about it, where are the attacks coming from? Etruria. So where would they be least likely to search? Etruria. And if we happen find a way to silence this Etruria Herald while we're there, that wouldn't be a bad thing."
This was definately not the safest idea suggested but lately, Wylie had been feeling aimless. Like their group didn't fully know where they were going or why. At least this meant some sense of purpose, like when he went on that mission with Crow. He missed those days.

"Yes, but, eh, but... but, Wylie, my friend, trust me on this one, you don't want to go to Etruria, half the hired swords of Elibe can be found there. I don't know what's going on, but it's dangerous. And I don't like it..." Crowley knew that there was someone in Etruria building an army. A huge one. There was something going on there, and it was too big for the little party.
"I agree on finding out who the Etruria Herald is, but IF we succeed in killing him, they'll just replace him. The message probably has been spread already... I just don't know man. I don't know. It's VERY risky..." And then an idea struck him.
"We COULD travel incognito and send this newling-" And he pointed to Tobias "To do the intel-gathering. Although we shouldn't tell him there's a bounty on our head. Nor that we, okay okay I, killed Roland."

'Well, my description is pretty unclear so it wouldn't be too much of a risk for me to go too Etruria, so I should go with the kid.' Zeiss said after a silence he addressed the two combatants. 'Hey, you two! Give it a rest already and get over here, new plans!'

"Incognito sounds good," Wylie responded. Finally, some sort of plan was emerging. "So how are we going to manage disguising ourselves? Are we going to become different people entirely, or are we just going to wear some hooded travelling cloaks and try to draw no attention?"

"Whatever you plan on doing, I am NOT shaving my beard. Usha won't shave hers as well. Ain't that right, Usha?" Crowley grinned. He started joking again, but it was only to hide his concerns. He still didn't like the plan, but Wylie and the others wanted to go through with it...

'Well if we're going to chang clothes and haircut's then let's get going to the nearest town.' Zeiss said getting on his feet at last. 'Besides, I don't think there has been a point in Crowley life where he had to go this long sober yet.'

Tobias scowled and lowered his blade. He didn't really want to stop fighting, but something important might have come up. He wiped his sword on a cloth that he had for that purpose, then sheathed it and walked over to the group. "So what is it?" he asked.

"We're going to Etruria," Wylie said, excitedly. "We'll leave at first light."
With this, Wylie made his way over to the fire and set up some water to boil. He planned to put together a brothy stew from the two rabbits he caught.

Crowley groaned. "Zeiss is right. I need my beverages." Then the tasty stew got his attention.
"But first, we eat!" Crowley noticed Tobias.
"You. You. Good, fight, yes, uh, are you interested in, eh, doing a little errand for us? In Etruria? Perhaps? This might come out of the blue, but you look trustable and I'll stop talking now and let Wylie do the talking." Crowley looked at Wylie and hoped that he would come up with a satisfying argument to send Tobias to Etruria to find the Etruria Herald.

Obviously, this 'errand' was either illegal or dangerous. "What is it and how much do I get paid?" He asked bluntly, not one for doing favors. "And how likely is it that I'll die?" He was looking for work, and would do the 'errand' if he got paid enough to compensate for the risks.

Wylie addressed Tobias, "Basically, we need you to be our information scout. Some guy called the Herald of Etruria has put out a bounty on Crowley and his gang, it's really not important why. Anyway, he's based in Etruria and we just want to know a bit more about him."
"That's about it. You don't get paid and there's probably an increased chance of death. That's just what comes with travelling in Crowley's legion. It's really one of those things when you're either in or you're out."
Wylie then passed a cup of broth to Crow's outstretched hand.
"Hey Usha," he said, getting out his staff. "Give me a look at that leg."

'It really doesn't make much point to rgue at this point, Tobias: Those two will not remember the rest of this conversation in the morning.' Zeiss said dryly.
