As soon Alan was thrusted into the room and the door was closed behind them Alan walked over to Lyndsey. Then he smacked her right in the face. 'What the HELL were you thinking coming here?! Don't you see they'll take us both?!'
"I mean that in exchange for them not killing you I'm going to be signing on. Apparently we impressed them a bit. I suppose stopping a few invasions does that for people." She crossed her arms, trying to ignore her stinging cheek.
'What good will that do? They'll kill us both eventually unless you get out of here right now. You are going to get the hell out of here understand?' Alan walked back to the door and slammed on it. 'Guards! I'm finished with the prostitute! I'd like to go back to my cell now!'
The "Before" years Winged Revenge[M:-1000]
Lumino had barely been in the room provided for him, which was quite nice, for roughly 15 minutes before he was summoned back. Lord Ashton welcomed him into the chamber.
"I have consulted with my advisor's, and we have a few questions for you. Firstly, how are we certain we can trust what you have said? You could be here to plant false information to us."
Lumino spoke up. "Well, I can tell you this. That women, Lydsey. She is almost certainly going to try to break Alan out. You cannot trust them to keep any bargain they agreed to here. Now, knowing this you could easily send your men into the prison and stop her, but I would suggest not. For you see..." Once again he gestured to the map. "If they escape, they will eventually rejoin the others, and you can use that to find them. The world is a big place, there are any number of places they could be hiding. If you make the attack on them seem believable, but allow them to escape, you can use them to find the others, and then exterminate them all."
Ashton looked curious with this idea. "You ask me to take a great risk with this plan, what could be in it for you? You are, I assume going to go with them and continue being a spy..." Lumino nodded. "So what do you have to gain from this?"
Lumino just smirked. "The one named Kenshin, I want him dead. I want to see him die for the slight he has given me." The smile was not one of a boy, indeed he looked quite mad. Ashton however seemed intrigued by this. He smiled and raised his hand.
"Escort this young man down to the prison, and ensure that the escape looks...believable. Oh yes, and take this as proof of your service to us." He tossed Lumino a red gemmed ring.
One of the side aides spoke up. "I don't believe it would be prudent to let them go, it's probably just a trap..."
Ashton spoke as Lumino left. "You have never seen eyes that seek revenge have you Raille? That boy meant what he said, and he will do whatever it takes to see it through. Of this I am certain."
"The only way you'll get out is by working for them!" Lyndsey shouted as they escorted Alan away. A servant came in through the other door. "Lady Lyndsey," the servant spoke. Lyndsey whirled to face him. "The Lord Ashton requests me to escort you to your new chambers," he said bowing. "And he offers you this, as an early payment for your services." He held out a whip that Lyndsey had seen before. Only skilled Pegasus Knights could use such a thing. She felt ready... She took it and followed the servant.
Lumino walked on down the path, dismissing the soldiers that were following him. They knew their part in this little show. He hoped Lyndsey would learn quickly enough. Before they left, one of the royal guards that had come with him demanded the prisoner to be brought out again. Alan wasn't even fully in his cell before they turned him around and marched him out. He looked annoyed, but Lumino thought Alan ALWAYS looked annoyed.
"Well it goes to show what first impressions of people can teach you Alan. You really should have known better." Lumino remarked waving his finger. He pointed to the two guards in the jail cell.
"Back to your posts, this is a matter of national security." The guards would have protested, but they saw him wave away the royal guards before, so they did not object and retreated into the prison. With no guards around Lumino double checked, then pulled a key from the side table. Quickly unlocking Alan's cell and his cuffs. He spoke as he moved.
"Ashton intends to have you both executed, he was just trying to see if Alan would say anything to Lyndsey that he didn't say before." The cuffs clinked off. "We don't have much time, the stables should be..." He glanced around the dungeon. "There! Fires of hell, scorch the soul! Hellfire!"
And with a blast the ground was ripped up. There was now sunlight pouring into the dank dungeon, and the growls of creatures above them. And more then a single scream of pain from what must have been an animal handler. Lumino looked to Alan and Lyndsey.
"Well hurry up will you?! Those guards will be back any second!"
