Marzius stepped into the lit hallway, and was quickly surrounded by palace guards. He lifted his hands, trying to allay their fears. they still removed all his spell tomes. "Lord Marzius, you are suspected of heresy. You are to be taken before the ruling court now," ordered one of the guards, whose armor indicated his high status. Marzius smiled charmingly. "Feel free to lead," he waved his hands in the direction of the room. It would take some fast talking to get out of this one.

the guards led Marzius into the opulent room that housed the royal court. Various ornamental decorations hung from any available space. Despite the overwhelming amount of symbols, the room still came off as being well decorated. Marzius rubbed his wrists nervously, as he approached the ruler of Etruria. "My liege, I believe there has been a dreadful mistake," Marzius began. The ruler arched a fine eyebrow at her subordinate. "According to our sources you have become a heretic in the eyes of the church of St. Elimine. We sincerely hope this information is false," the royal explained. Marzius put on his most charming smile, bowing deeply. "I assure you, my most beautiful highness, that I have become nothing of the sort," he replied. "While we appreciate the flattery, we want a straight answer from you. Hard though it may be for Lord Marzius of House Reglis," the royal smiled, leaning back into her opulent chair. Marzius rose, and began explaining everything.

When Marzius finished explaining things, the ruler of Etruria contemplated his words. "We do not think it would be wise to fight against one with as much popular support as Elimine," she told Marzius, who flinched on hearing those words. "However... we do not disagree with Lord Marzius's actions. We appoint you to investigate this matter with whomever you see fit." Marzius bowed again before the ruler, thankful that things had gone smoothly for once. "As you would have it, my liege."

As soon as Marzius left the audience chamber, he got to work. Servants were summoned, and rooms were prepared for planning. In addition, he made certain a contingent of soldiers was sent to examine his house. The last thing the mage wanted was for his house to be burned to the ground or something. He waved away the remaining servants, and occupied a room with a large table. From there, he could carefully plan out his next move. As soon as the others were brought in, they would have to discuss things.

Alexia stepped out of the tunnel, into a hallway where several guards waited. None of them moved to attack her, however, so she relaxed somewhat. She turned and looked to the tunnel, refusing to move until the others came out safely.

Sergey was next to step out of the tunnel. He saw that several guards looked upon him. 'What?!' he said aggressively.

Kraft slipped out of the tunnel being a little nervous. As always.
He tried to look intimidating as well.
"What?" And he spat. Looking as shabby as him they wouldn't touch him out of fear of catching a disease.

Mae nodded to Jacques and the two left the tunnel Jacuqes first her second. He glanced at the men smiling. She just shook her head then glanced at the men daring them to say anthing know she looked like hell and high water had just drowned her. Poking Jacques she tugs on the cloak he was wearing. "Give, now." He frowned but took it off anyway. She quickly wrapped it around herself.

Alexia noticed that most of the company had finally exited the tunnel. She turned to a servant. "There should be a shaman down there," she pointed at the tunnel. "Make sure he heads where we're going when he gets up." She whirled again, focusing on another servant. "You there! You will take us to where we need to be!" she ordered, unconsciously resting her hand where her sword should've been. "Now!" The frightened servant bowed hurriedly and began sprinting in a direction. Alexia motioned for the rest to follow her, and set off after the servant.
A short time later, they stopped in front of a set of double doors. The servant knocked, and Alexia let herself in.
OoC: Sorry for kinda dragging the group, but this is taking waaaay too long.

OoC: And I've got a plot idea that I wanna get rolling.
Marzius barely looked up from his battle plans as Alexia barreled into the room. "Nice of all of you to finally join me," he quipped, chuckling a little. He gestured towards the outspred maps. "What I have here is a plan to eliminate the threat that is St. Elimine. It pains me to have to rid the world of such a beautiful woman, but the fact that she is a zombie makes that a little easier to bear."
He had risen to his feet, and smiled benevolentlly at his captive audience. "Several of Etrurian's finest mages are going to distract the bulk of St. Elimine's forces," he explained, pointing to a forested area on a map. "And by finest mages I mean the ruler's personal guard. They'll be outnumbered, but they're merely a distraction. I will lead an attack on St. Elimine's shrine, and rid the world of that foul besmirchment of classic beauty once and for all. I anticipate you all will want to join my assault." Actually, he'd been counting on it, but he wasn't about to tell them that. His guard had to keep his mansion safe, and he didn't have access to any more troops. Five troops would be pushing it, and they'd be severely outnumbered... He hoped his smile dissolved the seriousness of the assault.

'What exactly does it make you think that you're or even the combined force of all of us together is capable of that?' Sergey demanded. 'I know you're arrogant enough to convince yourself that you're actually one of us, but I didn't take you for being that degree of stupid.'

"Hence the distraction," explained Marzius, biting back ruder comments. "I'm not even going to pretend to be one of you, yet. We need to move as soon as possible if we're to have the advantage. The longer we wait the more followers St. Elimine will have available. If we strike now we can catch it off guard." He resisted the urge to pound the table emphatically. "They think we're reeling from that last attack. We need to push it while they're off balance!"

'It's a stupid, reckless, selfish, moronic, suicidal idea.' Sergey said snorting loudly. After a moment of silence he said. 'I'm in.'

"So you're talking about just those of us here invading the stronghold of St. Elimine?" Alexia clarified, looking around at those gathered. "If there's no other way then... I suppose we'll have to do it that way. Sergey's right though," she cringed at admitting the fact, "it sounds suicidal..."

"Right glad that's settled. Now, I suggest we wait until night fall. That should give the troops ample time to prepare, and give us time to rest and get our wounds healed. Oddly enough, St. Elimine's hideout is only a few miles out of the city proper. We should be able to reach there quick enough," he looked over at the gathered group. Mae and Kraft hadn't agreed to come yet, but Marzius took Alexia's acceptance as being for the whole group. He also hoped that Jacques would be willing to help. "Oh, yes, since we're going on a glorious new mission, and the ruler wants to keep our involvement hush hush, we'll be traveling under a new banner. The New Dawn. Catchy, no?" he smiled reassuringly at the group.
