Katara, Rean, and Dirk lead the group into the small port town. It seemed okay to be in. There were people walking, though cautiously, out in the streets And, with it's few guards patrolling the outer streets, it looked safe. Immediately, Katara turned to Matis and Alexia. "We should find somewhere you can get your wounds healed," she said.

Alexia nodded, then looked around the port town. She was surprised to see something like this here, having thought that the entire island was more or less a sanctuary for pirates and the like. It was a pleasant surprise to see something resembling civilization.
"Indeed, I wouldn't relish getting into a fight in our condition," she admitted, patting her horse. Night Flight didn't look all that great himself. "A good healing would do wonders..."

"Well, while you guys go find a healer, how 'bout me and Rae go see about getting passage outta here?" Saru offered. "That way, once you guys are done, we can get outta here ASAP. Unless you wanna stay here and rest up for a bit?" Even though he was still a little tired, he didn't want to be useless. And besides, after seeing the others fight, he didn't want to get on their bad side.
Saru then suddenly said, "Oh! and while we're at it, you wanna send someone with us to help get some supplies?"

Matis nodded to Katara too, and then turned towards Saru.
"That sounds like a plan. Dirk, mind going with them? Carrying supplies on a horse is always easier than on foot" he said, hoping to get a positive answer from the Nomad.
"Wonder if we'll even find someone with magical abilities all the way down here..." he said, putting his hand over the gash on his right side. "Asking around is not an option either. We want to go as unnoticed as possible, as hard as that may be" he finally added.

Alexia nodded, shifting slightly in her saddle.
"That may be," she stated, agreeing with Matis's assessment of magic, "but there's usually a church around. Even pirates need to pray."
She nudged Night Flight, getting the wounded horse to start moving further into town.
"There's also most likely a rather mercenary priest or cleric around. Someone willing to heal for a few coins. Or some other form of motivation."

Katara nodded to her companions and set off to look for passage to the mainland. A bit later, she ran into a young man to the docks. "Excuse me?" she said. "Ya?" the man looked up. "I'm looking for a ship willing to bring about six people back to the main portion of Elibe. Is there such a ship here?" she asked. "Hmm..." Not many ships come this way this time o' year, but... I merchant ship will be coming in about... two days. I'm sure you can barter passage in time," she told her. "Thanks," Katara said politely, flipping him a coin for his help. She walked about the village, watching the liveliness of the market. Leaning on a shop post, she wondered if Kenshin's ambition to start a new tribe could ever result in a place as nice as this. An pond of sanity in an island of lawlessness and madness... After many men eyed her, and one whispered loudly, "man, the streetwalkers are coming out early..." she gathered up her wits and walked off to meet up with Matis and the rest of the group.

"Alright, come along then." Dirk led the two through the city. Before this adventure began, he had visited this city and remembered everything about it. He bought provisions for everyone for the return trip and packed them onto Kabold.

Going to get the supplies was fairly uneventful. but Saru was thankful for that. 'Can't have too much action all at once,' he thought. Out loud, he said, "Hmm, I wonder if the others have found a healer yet. Anyways, since we probably won't get passage out of here right away, should we look for an inn or something? I mean, even if they do get healed, we're all probably still tired from that fight."
Turning to Raen and then Dirk, he said, "And then maybe we can get drunk and gamble some. Ya know, relax and enjoy the fact that we're still alive. Whattya think of that?"

'Yea Saru' Raen commented 'That sounds like a good plan, maybe I could find a store that will buy this weird book off me' indicating the sand covered flux he still carried. 'Looks like you could use the healing anyway' he chuckled 'I guess I was just too fast for 'em to do the same to me' he nudged Saru 'Although I guess you got out the best, eh Dirk?'
Hopefully they'd get off these islands soon, though the pirates were cowardly, they had seemed to mean business Raen thought.

"I'm a bowman, not a fighter, it is only natural I wouldn't get hit. I'll pass on the drink offer, we can't relax until evil is truly destroyed." He left to go rejoin the other three.

Alexia set off through the town, hoping Matis would follow her. There was generally someone in every town that could heal, as she mentioned earlier. She shifted on her saddle, wincing momentarily at the movement. Apparently Durban had done more damage to her than she'd previously thought.
She eventually reached what looked like a church. Hoping that news of her status as one of St. Elimine's killers hadn't reached here, she dismounted, then entered.
A portly old man with a peg leg was busy trying to hang something up over the altar. Smiling, she walked over, reaching for what was apparently a cloth. Nodding to the old man, she stretched up, wincing yet again, and draped it over. The old man nodded.
"Thank ye fir tha'."
Alexia waved it off, "It wasn't much. I actually had business to discuss."
The old man's bushy eyebrow shot up.
"I was severely wounded in a fight a while back," she stated, motioning towards her body. She then waved her hand outside, "And my horse isn't doing much better."
She smiled at the man.
"Aye, well, if ye be willin' ta help with a few more jobs 'round here, ah'll heal ye an' yer horse up nice."
Alexia nodded, "I have a friend who should be coming soon..."
"Aye, well, he can work for his healin' when he gets here."
The man went behind the altar, and came out with a battered looking Mend staff. He held it up, chanting. It took a few times, but eventually Alexia was good as new. She then lead him outside, and indicated her horse. After making the obligatory comments on how fine an animal she had, the priest healed him as well.
Thus healed, Alexia removed her bulky armor, and tied it to Night Flight, then she went to work.

Matis stopped right next to Nightflight as Alexia was leaving. "Sir, would you mind healing me and my friends too?" he said, as he bowed down a bit. He would have done a full bow, but even walking was painful as it was.
"'Course, my lil' boy" the man said, waving his staff around, and asking him to to help with the work.
"No problem" Matis said, taking a deep breath. It felt nice not to have a gaping wound on the side of his body or cuts all through his arms. "What kind of work would that be?"
"Y'see, my boy, this church is decaying. Part of the roof fell the other day, with that strong wind"
Matis looked at the church-like building, and saw almost a third of the roof was missing. Turning around, he saw Alexia coming back with a few bricks and some tiles. "So, rebuilding the roof is it?" he asked, as the man smiled. "A promise is a promise", he finally added, as he too started carrying bricks and tiles here and there.

Alexia mostly just helped fetch things for Matis. She knew how to do a lot of the work, having grown up on a farm. But it had been quite some time. She was able to offer advice in a few circumstances.
It certainly felt good to be doing something besides fighting or traveling. It seemed like all they did anymore was just run about and kill things. How was it the others could just let things like that go? Didn't they realize what they were going through?
She shook her head, and continued working.

Seeing Dirk go off to return to the others, he grumbled to himself. Two people going out and getting drunk together would be kind of fun, but he figured that everyone could use some relaxtion if they had to deal with those kinds of fights constantly. Sighing, he turned to Raen. "Well, let's get back to the others for now. Maybe we can see if any of them want to head out later if we can't get out of here today." Saru then turned and started walking after Dirk.

"Yea sure Saru, sounds like fun." he grumbled, 'damnit I wanted to get drunk, and everyone has to be somewhere... pah!'
Taking a jog to catch up, "Hey Saru! Wait! Want to look for some weapon stores or something?"
