Delroy politely nodded at the villager. She was right, it was time for him to start earning his keep on the island. The villagers had, after all, accepted him into their small town. Delroy smiled. They were doing him a favor, after all, he needed to get stronger. It is no longer time to be a pushover. There are people in this world that would kill without thought, and he had to be ready. Delroy took hold of his tomes and started walking towards the infested forest.

The first one came swiftly and without warning.
A bolt of pure black shot through the trees, hitting Delroy in the stomach and knocking the breath out of him. The darkness creeped up his body, and Delroy combated it with light magic, taking away a good amount of the damage. He took out his light tome, formed a ball of light in each of his hands, then launched them, spinning binaraly around each other. The attack struck the Mogall in the center of it's eye, making it fly back. With another pulse from Delroy, the balls of light exploded, mutilaing the eye.
(Two light uses, Kill, Clash, -2 HP)
Delroy was then assulted from behind, rings floating around his body, ready to constrict him. Delroy could only counteract two before the rest entered him, then pain shot through his entire body. Delroy clapped his hands togeter, bringing them apart to reveal a blade of shining light. He sliced it against the Mogall, hard. The eye started to reatreat, when Delroy sent needles of darkness through the eye, causing it to fall down, dead.

The fog had lifted, leaving Delroy to see his surroundings. Two more Mogalls stood side by side, as if they were guarding something. Delroy attacked the first one with a bolt of lightning, but the thing Delroy attacked dissapeared. Classic duplicate trick. The actual Mogall reached out with it's eye tentacle things, then wrapped around Delroy, sending volts of darkness through his body. Delroy shuddered as the pain made stars float in front of his eyes, then placed his hands on the tentacles and gave the eye a bit of it's own medicene. The Mogall retreated in pain, and Delroy made a slashig motion with his hand, sending a disc of light towards the foe. The eye split apart as it was sliced open...
And reformed, sending a beam of black towards Delroy. Delroy was ready, and dodged, rolling. He formed a ball of light in his hands and threw it at the eye. The ball got stuck in the eye with a sqelching sound, blinding th Mogall. It tried to retaliate, but the magic hit a tree instead. Delroy gathered his strength, and sent a bolt of lightning towards the Mogall, killing the thing finally.

Delroy breathed hard, when he heard the rustle of branches. Delroy was definately not in any condition to continue fighting. He headed out of the forest, the villager that sent him in eyeing his wounds. "Finally, you did something. Unless the proof of your work was caused by a bad fall." Delroy shot the woman a look, and said nothing as he continued to the village chapel. "Father Drew?" "Delroy... is that you?" "I need some... patching up, as you can see." "Oh dear... I'll grab my staff." Father Drew was a middle-aged man and Delroy's neighbour. Drew was one of Delroy's few friends in the village, and Delroy respectd him.

Delroy was walking from the chapel, looking forward to a long day of relaxation, when a villager approached him. "You do nothing! You just walking out here, and the forest evil, and you do nothing!" No matter how hard Delroy tried, he couldn't dodge the accusation, so he grudgingly walked back into the forest.
It had been almost an hour, and nothing showed up. At all. Zip. Delroy was about to leave when he heard a rasping voice. "Going so soon?" Delory turned around to see a Druid and many shamans. delroy was about to retreat when shamans appeared behind him. They were about to attack when the Druid raised his hand. "I will take him. One on one." A voice behind Delroy Muttered "Wow.. one day promoted and thinks he's the boss."

Delroy squared off against the Druid, putting away his Lightning tome for his never used shine. His face was lined with sweat already, as a flux tome was floating behind him. The druid unleashed the first attack, a shadow bolting from the book, flying at Delroy, who rolled and fired a similar light bolt at the druid. Instead of one light bolt, as Lightning produced, the effect was many light bolts locking on to the druid, firing at all angles. The druid was caught off balance, and shuddered as the light magic coursed through his body.
(Clash Promoted, -1 lightning)
Delroy then got up and hurled a spear of light at the Druid. The Druid dissapeared at the last moment, coming up behind Delroy, then tentacles of darkness reached up from the ground, shocking Delroy with the Dark magic. The magic felt different than the Mogall magic, more controlled rather than wild.
(Clash Promoted, -1 Shine, -5 HP)
Delroy's hands became pure white as he pushed them behind his back, striking the Druid in the face. Delroy turned so that he was facing his opponant, and in doing so unknowingly dodged a dark magic shot.
(Clash Promoted, -1 Shine,)
Delroy's next attack missed, and the Druid attacked swiftly, balls of Darkness, swerving around Delroy to hit at the same time, making Delroy cringe as he tried to fight the inner battle of counteracting the magic.
(Clash Promoted, -1 Shine, -5 HP)
Delroy gathered his Strength, and tried another shine attack, this time attacking from under the Druid, but the Druid just dissapeared, only to reappear and send Delroy flying into a tree with more dark magic. Delroy looked up at the Druid, who spat at him. "You are nothing. NOTHING!"
(Promoted Clash, -7 HP, - 1 Shine)
Delroy's Shine book glowed, and felt different. The book was trying to reach out to Delroy, tell him something. Delroy gave in and let it consume him, the familiar magic running through his body, a warm feeling. Then, Delroy's eyes glowed yellow, and his entire body seamlessly turned a silvery grey. Not just his skin, but his clothes, hair, everything but his eyes. The Delroy Figure Rose in the air, and clapped his hands, pulling the hands apart to reveal a shining sword of Light, curved and deadly. Delroy was unable to control himself, he was but a vessal for the overwhelming magic. He placed his hands on the hilt, and rushed towards the horrified Druid, slashing through him like butter, leaving not mark but the druid's screams of pain. By now, all the Shamans had fled, so his screams were useless. The Light Delroy Raised his arms, a column of light flashing down from the Sky, enveloping the Druid, then closing in on itself. The druid remained screaming, glowing faintly, as he rose up un the Air. The Light Delroy Raised the sword, which grew to twice it's length, and stabbed the man in the forehead, spidery lined of white light criss crossing every part of his body, making his eyes roll back in his head, showing just white. Then the body turned completely black, and crumbled to dust.
(CRITICAL HIT! Promoted Kill, -1 Shine)
