Rayl left the discussion, leaving the others to do their business, taking along three of his knights: an archer, a wyvern rider, and a fellow cavalier, before riding out to meet the group: who would try and sneak up on a fully armed division of troopers? He had his lance out just in case as the cavalier on his right held his own lance as well: Pherae's flag waving in the wind. However Rayl soon lowered his weapon as he saw the banner the other group flew under: Santaruz forces.
Soon the commander of both groups ( these being Rayl and an older commander in yellow armor) met, and began to talk," Ah, just we needed to see. Well met Sir Rayl: I am Commander Jacobs of Santaruz. Your Marquess had sent word to us ahead, and this is our reply." he smirked, revealing some missing teeth, as the knights let out a cheer: Santaruz had joined the alliance," Our two countries have always been loyal friends, we hardly see why we should abandon such a bond now. We are to ride on to Caelin, yes?". Now Rayl spoke, obviously relieved at this fact, as he gave a nod," Indeed we must. I am sure they will join our cause seeing as their neighbors have both joined together. Well then, let's see if we can prepare your tents in amongst these trees."
and thus the two forces joined together, discussing the travel plan as Santaruz and Pheraen soldiers began to meet and greet one another, mingling merrily as they assisted one another in tent pitching,"...When we reach Laus with our combined troops, I am sure they will accept our aid. We will leave most of our men behind to help guard them, before continuing through the remaining nations." with this, the two commanders went back to overseeing their men.

Karina smiled at Chelsea as her friend scolded her. "I was fine. I thought it would be better for me to stay above to spot enemies from a distance so we would not be caught off guard. I am sorry if I worried you..." she said as Chelsea handed her some food. "So those people... are they from Santaruz? The two cavaliers bear a slight resemblance to Sir Rayl..."

"The big group is, I think. The ones who look like Rayl are Merio and Kelvin, his cousins." She took a bite of bread and thought as she chewed. She wasn't sure about the other two newcomers, as she hadn't been near when introduced, but they seemed to be both friendly and maybe even noble. "The other two I'm not sure of, but they're not enemies."
She ate some more food and looked her friend over. She still wasn't sure why she had become so attached to the peg knight in such a relatively short time, but she was happy she had. She really needed a friend after all her time alone. She gave Karina a smile. "Do you want to share a tent again? We'll stay warmer that way." But really, she didn't want to be alone again.

"Time to meet some new people," Kelvin thought, looking around the camp. Kelvin spotted an archer and a pegasus knight not too far off. Kelvin strolled over, casually whistling a tune he had learned as a child. "Hello, ladies," Kelvin said, hoping he wasn't interrupting anything, "I'm Kelvin. I just arrived here."

Chelsea looked at the new cavalier. "You're Sir Rayl's cousin, correct?" She gave a little nod. "Sir Rayl introduced us earlier. I'm Chelsea, an archer. This is my friend Karina, Peg Knight extraordinaire." She gave Karina a little smile at that. "We've been with your cousin for a little while now."

"Well it is a pleasure to meet the two of you," Kelvin said with a little bow. "It's good to talk to somebody other than Merio for once. Don't get me wrong, he's a good person, but his constant pessimism is quite annoying. So what's your story?" Kelvin asked with a warm smile.

The archer dug her toe into the dirty a little bit, trying to think what to say. "Well... I'm from Sacae. I stumbled across Rayl on his way home from somewhere out on the plains a couple days ago. He allowed me to go with him to Pharae, to look for new of my father. Since then, I started to travel with him and here we are." She gave a little shrug. "Nothing very exciting." She didn't expand on her father at all and hoped he wouldn't ask more.

Yaen whiped his hair out of his face for the thousandth time, only for it to fall in his face again. "I give up!" He sighed, bringing his hair into a bundle so he could braid it. "Rain can be inconvenient...although it does serve its purposes..." He glanced at his left arm and winced. He'd gotten burnt, and his arm was blistered. The rain was soothing the pain, but he needed to find some aloe. Aloe juice was perfect for burns. "I can't even use my left sword." he lamented. Everytime he tried to swing it, his arm stung horribly. "Five years working to perfect my twin-sword style, and this happens." Sometimes, Yaen almost had to chuckle at the irony that was his life. "Oh well, at least I got that money from the Marquess of Santaruz. Thats good." There was always an upside to the bad things that happened to him. For example, being kidnapped by bandits allowed him to find the gem that purchased his third sword, which was currently slung across his back.
"I need to find a place to sleep." he concluded. "I hope I can find an abandoned cave in those woods..." Ready to start hunting for one, something caught his eye. "Are those...camp fires?" There were. And there were a lot of them. "Camp fires mean people...A lot of camp fires mean an army or a caravan...And armies and caravans have supplies to treat burns, dry places to sleep, and a demand for mercenaries." Without a moments hesitation, he started for the camp.

Kelvin could tell Chelsea was becoming uncomfortable with the conversation, so he quickly changed the subject. "Ah I see. Merio and I just finished our training so we were sent to join up with Rayl. He's changed so much since I last saw him. We used to have some great times when we were young." Kelvin realized that he was rambling, "Sorry if I have bored you. I could talk for hours without noticing a change."

When Aren saw the army and Rayl came back to it, he heard that it was a alliance. But soon before he could do some other things, he saw Kelvin talking to the ladies and he heard some footsteps. He got his bow ready as Yaen came to the camp. "Friend or Foe."He said as he pointed his bow to him. "Don't try to say Foe."He said as he looked to him. "Sir Rayl.'He said as he looked around to see if he was around to talk to this person.

Chelsea gave him a small smile. "It's fine, Sir Kelvin." She gave a little wink. "Sir Rayl can go on and on too. Must run in the family." She giggled lightly. "I've started learning how to adapt to it. Don't worry yourself about it too much." She sighed, calming herself. "Is it common for brothers to enlist and fight together?"

Merio had finished listening to the talk with Rayl, and had gone back to the tents when he heard Chelsea and Kelvin talking. He goes up to them.
"It is common for one to have some actual brains among him. Kelvin, how are you? I doubt you're completely fine after that... injury. There's a healer over at the tent next to that one archer."

Chelsea looked a little concerned. "You're hurt?" She got stern. "Healer. Now." One thing she didn't like was when guys tried to be all macho and act like they never got hurt. Her father and brother were always like that and it only got them into more trouble, leaving her and her mother to get them healed. The fools. She shook her head and fought the urge to grin at the thought of her mother calling her father a dunce for not going to a healer and her father's goofy attempts to defend himself. She missed them...

"I'm wounded?" Kelvin looked down at himself, peering down his shirt to check for wounds. There was a small wound where the archer had shot him. "Well that's embarrassing. Apparently I am wounded! Well, I should go find a healer." Kelvin walked off, allowing himself to blush as he got further away. He was embarrassed that he had allowed himself to appear so foolish in front of new people.

Merio sighed as Kelvin walked away toward the healer. He turns to Chelsea. "I'm sorry if you were talking, it's just that I have to keep an eye on him. He rushes into everything, and most times he forgets about his own condition. I just worry about him..."
