When the order was issued, Morgoth got back in formation with the rest of the army, and he walked by Mavick. Is he trying to teach me patience? Or perhaps he's thinking of what to teach me first.
Morgoth switched gears and began to think of magic. My orb is pretty good, but maybe I could try making it explode. I could try slicing things again........I wonder where the 'nothingness' that Mavick talks about comes from. I mean, if its nothingness then how can it exist? Or it could be like darkness is the absence of light, evil is the absence of good, but if nothingness is the absence of all then how is it manipulated if it is nothing...........I wonder if it's possible to slowly take someone piece by piece into the 'nothingness', thus making them nonexistant.......wait, is it possible that this 'nothingness' is not 'nothingness but destruction, the path to nonexistance.....

Love was lost.
First of all she had no idea what to do. Everybody seemed to be so organized and could snap into positions so easily. And yet she was standing there, face blank and feeling incredibly jealous of the man who made her statue doll person move.
Maybe she should just wait. Someone would tell her what to do exactly right? They couldn't leave her alone forever.

Clair turned back and listened to the blue haired axeman. Ah! he's right. As odd as it would look for him to hitch a ride on a pegasus in plain sight, it wouldn't look much less odd for him to be an advance scout.
"uh... Good catch. Alright, I'll meet up with once the army is out of sight."
She walked purposefully off to Corona, and climbed aboard. He gave a loud whinny, as though eager to be off. "Easy boy." She rubbed his neck from the saddle. We've got to be ready for the grizzly type of work this time. She took off and headed past the front of the army, giving the appearance that she was scouting forward. After getting sufficient distance though, she bent around and circled to the place where she would meet up with Lyar, still out of view.
It was true that the messengers had gained some distance on them already, but there wasn't a horse alive that could best a pegasus in speed, at least when the wind didn't ground them. Lyar was bound to turn up any moment now. Then they could be off on their errand...

Lyar waited while as Clair took off, tapping his foot and whistling until she was out of sight and inbound towards their meeting spot, and after sufficient waiting: " HEY! WAITA MINUTE! COME BACK HERE FLYING PONY BUDDY!" With this he burst off running, and past Love, giving a brief double back before running back to Love, kneeling down to her height," Pssst~! Love! go to Commander Abend's side...you know, guy with pink hair? just tell him you are with Lyar...hopefully he'll understand...he paused before patting her on the head in Lyar fashion, before rising up again, bellowing," HERE I COME MAH FRIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEND!" and thus he dashed through the formation, making a minor ruckus in the back before it got back in order...
...and soon he was out of sight of the others, and stopped charging about, breathing deeply to catch his breath: he'd been dashing about all day with his ruse, carrying people and supplies to and fro...he needed a rest...however Second-Officer Feldsky needed his help, and he would do what he could to help out for his Brother's safety...speaking of which he soon caught sight of the blond girl, giving a wave," Madame Feldsky, let us be off, we have a duty to attend to!"
The moment of truth...he'd have to take to the skies...however first he wanted to pet the flying horse, a little dream of his since he WAS a little kid...and this time his age was meant.

What? Oh dear this was getting worse and worse. She supposed she had nothing else to do but to follow obediently. It was probably easier to walk alongside a giant group of people anyway, much safer than traveling alone.
She didn't go with Lyar of course and she definitely didn't follow Clair, whose name she now knew. Oh well...that left basically nobody for her to talk to. She could not see Mavick in the crowd though. Love hoped he wasn't lost, but it really was too difficult to spot anyone in this mess. Expect for Lyar of course. Anyone could spot him from any point.
She began walking and dragging her robes along when her book began to slip from under her clothing. She grabbed it quickly before it fell out and people saw what she did.

Clair spotted Lyar coming, and landed, approaching the big man at a walk. She stopped the pegasus when his shoulders were alongside the axeman. "We'd best get under way. Climb up and hang on to..." Here she took in Lyar's size. If he hung onto her, he'd pull her clean out of the saddle..." We'll just have to make sure it's a smooth ride. Ostia isn't really that fa- CORONA!"
Pegasi, like horses were quite capable of showing curiosity from time to time, and this big blue-haired man just happened to be a subject of interest. As Lyar's questing hands had reached to pet the winged horse, Corona had decided to familiarize his mouth with Lyar's uniform.
...This came with the turf of having animals. Clair just wished it wouldn't happen at times like these. "Uhuh... get off that." She tapped the pegasus on the side of his neck and he jerked his head a bit, stopping the mouthing."

Lyar simply laughed as Corona nibbled a bit on his uniform, before he hesitantly climbed on, trying to be as gentle as possible getting on, nodding to his comrade," Alright then, we'd best hurry up before the messenger gets too far...I wonder though...what if he has guards with him, and one rushes back to report what's happening? We won't be able to give chase while being set on fire now will we?"

Corona shifted a bit as Lyar climbed on his back. I mean, come on. Usually all he carried around was his rider, little ol' Clair, but... This guy was huge! The pegasus snorted and shook his main out while flexing his wings. The things I do for my rider.
His ears perked back towards the riders when he heard Clair say. "All we have to do is stop the message from getting through to Ostia..., and keep them from getting back to the army here. If there is a mage there, I'll try to take care of him, but the first thing to do is stop that messenger."
These humans... Why couldn't they just move to a different patch of grass, or something? Did they really have to fight all the time? Corona felt the promptings that told him to move forward and take off. He took his time, picking up sufficient speed, before catching just the right air current and- they were airborne! The features of the land began to grow smaller as they rose higher. Corona loved flying, feeling the ground drop away as you lifted into the skies. He also liked going into steep dives, pulling out at the last moment, but for some reason Clair didn't seem to like that...
The pegasus spotted the who they were chasing after a time. Those poor pegasi. What had happened to their wings? Always staying on the ground... The thought caused Corona to shiver. At first they weren't noticed, but then one of the riders chanced to look back. He looked startled for some reason. He shouted something lost in the wind before increasing his speed.
Now Corona was curious. He skimmed the ground, slightly higher than the threesome of riders. He caught up to these odd, wingless pegasi and their riders just a little bit at a time, so he wouldn't startle them too bad. He felt his own rider loosening her long, pointy, target-hitting stick in it's hanging and tensed a bit. that almost always meant trouble in these situations.

Lyar was startled by the take off, and would have clung for dear life to either Clair or Corona, but feared crushing the windpipe of Corona or dragging Clair off...he just shut his eyes and prayed....
and then they were above the messenger and guards...there were three of them, and the big man took note of their weaponry. The stronger man had an axe, the younger one a lance, and the messenger had a bow...a bow! He had heard how pegasi and wyvern riders feared archers, and he could figure out why too: last thing you want is to plummet to the earth on a dead heavy animal...he had to act: FAST.
And Lyar wasn't one for planning," CLAIR! WATCH OUT A BOWMEN!" With this he jumped off the flying horse, seeing as they were close enough to the ground to do it. The messenger looked up...just in time to see a giant gray cloud block the sun...a gray cloud with blue hai- wait wasn't the insane guy from ca-
he was out like a light and off his horse, tumbling down after Lyar landed on him...as a matter of fact both of them went rolling down the ground as the two others readied their weapons: eying the axeman and his source of transportation, that girl on the pegasi.

OoC:Yeah, I'm gonna bend the rules some. There's no magical effect that suddenly makes a Peg knight able to fight from the back of their steed, it's experience. She's still a squire, but Imma gonna have her try to fight from Corona's back...she's got enough posts to promote anyway.
BiC:
Clair was alarmed when she saw the bowman, but not as alarmed as she was when Lyar dove off of Corona. The pegasus shook his mane and drove forward, freed from the extra weight that had limited his flight before.
Clair, and Corona pickked up speed as Lyar and the messenger both went tumbling across the ground. The guards accompanying the messenger wheeled about, towards their downed companion, and started moving towards the pair on the ground. Clair figured they would try to take out Lyar first since he looked alot more capable of dealing heavy blows. That may be true, but I don't carry this lance around for a toy. Then she remembered something. Most of her previous battles had been on the ground. She frequently fell off when fighting on Corona's back... She'd just have to make sure she hung on extra tight.
Corona plunged in, across their path, touching down briefly on the ground in front of the enemy riders before springing off again. Clair had just enough time to try to take a shot at the axe wielder. She caught only air, as she blew past. She grimaced, and swept into a swift curve, this time coming around behind them. She held the haft of her lance out, trying to clothesline one of the riders with it, and was rewarded with a sharp "clang" sound as it collided with her opponent. Unfortunately the man she hit had a better seat than she did and she nearly knocked herself out of the saddle at the same time. Also, the counter strike from the axman caused Corona to throw himself to the side to avoid the hit, resulting in Clair slipping yet further. As her pegasus peeled away, back up into the skies, Clair found herself using her hands to cling to whatever she could to stay on, frantically trying to climb back into the saddle.

OOC: Heck, the mods should promote her automatically at this point or after the fight once she has some mounted experience.
IC: As Lyar got up from his crushed opponent, he cracked his neck to the side and readied his axe. He was used to the rocking of ships when he fought, but he'd once again have to bear it and fight on steady footing. The more experienced axeman was about to begin his attack when Clair had made an attempt to hit him but to no avail...shouldn't she be going after that rookie with the lance...?
Who at this point had just gave deep cut into his right leg, causing him to stumble. How could he have let himself be distracted?! Before the lance user could pull away, he grabbed the cocky greenhorn around the waist, of his horse and squeezed, before slamming both himself and his victim into the ground...yes Lyar used Wrestling as a staple of his fighting technique, as he clambered up to his feet, grabbing his axe from it's resting place, raising it above his head, keeping his opponent pinned to the ground with a foot and his weight:
" P-please don't kill me!"
Lyar paused, before getting off the man...who subsequently swung his lance to trip the giant onto his back...and THAT was why you didn't show your opponent mercy, as he then rolled aside to avoid getting axe'd into oblivion by the second man.

OoC: Yeah, but if they just auto-promoted, there goes my shot at a coordinated promote.
BiC:
Oh Yeah, I love my job! it's too bad Clair doesn't relish it as much as I do. Corona was really getting into the mood for a good brawl now. He flew up, then down, then back up again, picking up speed before finally entering into a downward arcing swerve. Clair wasn't directing him at the moment, so he fell back on all his war training he'd had. It seemed almost like a dream as he remembered it. Clair is too soft. He decided. She needs to fight more like me, or Giant Blue-Haired Tasty-Shirt, and just crush things.
The pegasus saw Blue-Hair take a fall and quickly angled towards their ally. As he came cruising in he snapped his wings open at the last possible moment, and landed on the man that had tripped up the Blue-Hair, with a sickening crunch. I don't get what the big deal is. They're only two-legs...
A second thud followed his impeccable landing. He turned his head and rolled his eyes a bit, only to see Clair land, sprawling on the ground. Hmm...What's wrong with her?
Clair wasted no time in getting to her feet after she was unceremoniously dumped on the ground. As soon as she'd started to try to climb into the saddle again, Corona had gotten the sudden urge to go into some of the zaniest maneuvers he could. It reminded her of the time he'd tried to scrape her off his back on the training field. She wouldn't be surprised to find scrape marks along the saddle, where she'd been trying to hold on. It's just as well I'm down. Not much of a knight yet.
The ax wielding cavalryman moved forward, and as Clair tried to intercept, aiming at the horses chest. Unfortunately for Clair, he'd seen that trick before, and expertly knocked her weapon aside before delivering a blow to her chestplate strong enough to lift her from her feet. She landed several feet away, a little dazed and sporting a new dent in her armor. It was lucky that the herald had given her that new suit of armor. Her old stuff would have never stood up to that blow.

Lyar rolled off again and to his feet once the other man was crushed beneath Corona's hooves. That left only the strong man with the axe on the horse lef- and the Clair was sent flying. he rushed over to help her to her feet, before realizing his mistake as the man went riding up, knocking Lyar's axe form his hand and striking him in the back...and now Lyar was back on the ground, though he managed to make sure NOT to crush his companion, as their opponent turned around to continue his assault...until he turned his head to see a rider in a red enter the battle field...
The messenger had to hurry. He could not let Sir Rayl down, the fate of his home and all their homes may very well rest on him...wait, what's this? He watched as a man atop a horse knocked the rider of a pegasi off it's horse, along with a large man with blue hair...was he wearing Ostian armor? He must be a captive of these Etrurians! Thus he charged down the hill to assist the two injured fighters.
...Meanwhile Lyar took this opportunity to grab his axe and pull Clair to her feet, whirling about in front of her to keep her form being harmed even more...though at this rate...

Clair felt herself jerked to her feet suddenly. Her head felt like it had just been hammered into the ground, which, in effect, it had. She had to take a moment to ponder the sudden question: When did there get to be three Lyars?
She finally remembered that there was a whole battle going on around them just in time to see the enemies axe start descending- and then a flash of silver and red stopping the blow just as it fell.
Another rider? Who else would be out here? She also realized that this man was wearing colors of an army, not patchwork armor, or Etrurian colors.
The enemy paladin looked over and snarled at the red armored cavalier, before using his free arm to smash his antagonist's weapon hand.

OOC: Huzzah! Post oddly done via view of Araphen dude... <_< and short post is short...whatevz.
IC: The Araphen Cavalier found his right arm knocked aside, though was able to then draw his sword and fully ready for the battle, grimacing before swinging his sword for the now exposed arm of his opponent, while Lyar dusted Clair off," Come on, we have to finish our mission!"
"Mission?" The Cavalier wasn't sure what the big guy and the blond girl were talking about but nevertheless he had jumped into the fray and would have to see the battle through, while the big man then turned away from his friend, and swung for the Paladin's weapon arm with his own axe.
