OOC: I was gone for two weeks while you were gone for.... almost two weeks if you count this post. You said you'd leave for a trip two saturdays before, and then I waited last saturday, but you never posted. And as Garnet's team keeps advancing, I kinda felt we'd be running no where.
If you want, we can meet up again in your next post. This Alex post will sum up some of alex's thoughts as he accidentally opens the other entrance to the ancient magic castle or w/e it is.
IC:
Alex finally found something from all that digging- a silver skull. At first puzzled by this, Alex decided to try and bring to skull close to the door to open it. Probably this was the key.
But as soon as he touched it, he felt dark energy envelop the area....a dark voice whispered to him.
"The secrets behind the door await you. Beware...once the treasure is taken, you will be enveloped by the darkness forever. The key to the door...the key....your drgonstone. Allow the power of corrupted flames to fill your heart....the silver skull. Your path to power. This is only the first step. Now, keep the skull on the dragonstone!" it said.
Alex hesitated at first. But as the instructions repeated,"Keep the skull on the stone!" instinct told Alex that it had to be done. As Alex kept the skull on the dragonstone, he could feel it.... the corrupted energy. The dragonstone turned from yellow to a dark-red colour.
And then it happened. More rumbling noise and then..... the door had opened.

OoC: Not really two weeks, Alex. Anyway, I think I'd want Ignis to do some exploring of his own too. And we need to discuss with Garnet's group how we're supposed to meet up.
BiC: Ignis continued walking on the path, taking extreme care to ensure the path he was walking on was safe. He had already walked for quite some time in this cave, but he didn't know if he was walking in circles or not, because the cave was so dark. Ignis closed his eyes for a while to try and accustom his eyes to the darkness, then continued walking again.
It was all darkness, until Ignis came to a door from which there was a light glow behind. In front of the door was a knocker, made from dark metal that felt cold to Ignis's touch. However, when Ignis tried to lift the knocker to knock it, a hot sensation arose from the knocker, and a voice formed in his head.
Heheheh! Revenge fuels a great many things! Welcome to this place, my comrade!
Ignis took another quick survey of the surroundings, but saw no one around. Ignis deduced that the voice either came from someone in the room ahead or was just a pigment of his imagination.
When Ignis stepped forwards intending to try to open the door again, the door opened by itself, and a great white light shone through it, that Ignis had to close his eyes for a while again to accustom his eyes to the light.

OoC: Almost, I said. You arrived last saturday, but only posted on Thursday, which means the gap was about... 12 days? The time between those two alex posts of mine was 13 days, so we're kinda even. The only reason I advanced was because Garnet and co already found the entrance to the special place and we were lagging behind.
BiC: Beyond the door... Alex could not see much... just 4 pillars and then...darkness. He needed more light.
Taking out his dragonstone, he was about to charge it up a bit more when... it just started shining even brighter than ever! Although it emitted red light, it was enough for Alex to see the whole place- many rooms, pillars and book shelves.
He stepped in the hallway to assess the area...the book of scrying...was it here?
OOC: Of course not, its isnt there. xD Oh well.

OoC: You know, I had an idea about the cave having some form of magic that transports different people to different areas inside the cave, such that unless you were holding each others' hands, you wouldn't end up in the same area of the cave until you reached the central room.
BiC: Ignis walked into the brightly lit room. And he turned around to look behind the door. The entire interior of the cave was lit and bright. He tried backtracking a little and found that beyond the right turn that he had taken earlier, the entire cave's path was linear, all the way through to the entrance he had taken.
Having seen the interior of the cave, Ignis turned around to make the turn that would lead back to the door only to find the door directly in front of him and the turn having disappeared.
Must be something to do with the cave or just me losing it...
Well, there was nothing and nowhere else to go, so Ignis just stepped through the door, to find himself in an ornately decorated room, with dark gothic designs from top to bottom. The room was round, and had a small round table with a black candle burning on it. It seemed that all the light had been coming from that candle.
Ignis walked towards the table and as he did so, he heard the bang of the door closing behind him. So... He had to move forwards...

OoC: Gosh...I should have forward you the mail garnet had sent me. It was something to do about the interior of that parciualar magic shrine. Oh well, I'll forward it to you now. I'll be shifting to Garnet's thread after this. OOC: Also, this hll has not MANY bookshelves.. maybe just 5. It had been an hour, Alex smashing the bookshelves across the hall and searching each one of them for the book of scrying. But it was a failure. He had not found anything in this search. Only tales of the scouring, which he did not need to know, considering he was a manakete, and it only burned the passion in his heart to take revenge on humans for this. He analyzed the hall. There were many rooms.... about 8 of them, 2 on either side, and possibly more down the wide, long path in front of him. Alex stomped the ground in fury- this seemed like a joke, eternity! To search all rooms? That was....ridiculous! Sighing, Alex decided to check the first room to his right.
