POKEMON WotW VERSIONCONCEPTIn the Dias Region, southwest of the Kanto and Johto Regions, a civil war had raged on for nearly fifteen years between the two main islands of Radiance and Ebony. Valiant soldiers of each land mass fought with arms and Pokemon for control over the region. The war finally ended with a treaty of peace that mandated a twenty year ceasefire to be negotiated again when the years are up and that Pokemon not be used for tools of war ever again. With this new treaty, Dias was finally allowed into the popular Pokemon League and, along with rebuilding the cities, built new gyms and an extravagant stadium for the league tournament. This new concept to the people of Dias was welcomed as it allowed them and their Pokemon to battle without risk of death for either. Fifteen years have passed. With only five years left before the negotiation for the treaty's renewal, terrorist groups have popped up around the region protesting the peace. The most prominent of these groups is the ruthless Team Dusk, murderous madmen left over from the war that want another and don't mind resorting to killing innocents to get it. Despite the terrible events that are starting, children still willingly set off on their Pokemon journeys with hopes of glory and fame in the league. MAPRadiance Island = Upper Left Ebony Island = Lower Right Starbreeze Island = Upper Right Victory Island/Pokemon League = Lower Left RULES1.) As always, absolutely NO godmodding or metagaming will be tolerated. If you do such things, you will be asked to edit it. If you do not edit your post, it will be deleted and you'll be forced to redo it. If you get a post deleted three times you will be permanently banned from the RP. 2.) Please keep OoC chatter to a minimum. If you want to talk about the RP and it's more than a little comment please take it to the cbox. 3.) You MUST make a new trainer as your first character. This means they are brand new to training pokemon and have no pokemon in their team. There is no age limit, however. If you want, you can have a 40 year old new trainer. 4.) After getting your first character accepted, you are free to make more experienced trainer characters. You can only make two more, however. So the character maximum is three, just like this site. 5.) I will allow up to two characters per person in any given thread. Just like ES. 6.) Obviously, you need to wait for me to approve your character before you can post in a thread for the RP. 7.) Legendary pokemon are off limits until I say so. 8.) No 5th gen pokemon unless you make a non-new trainer from the Unova region who already has some in their team or box. The Dias region being close to the first four, the Unova pokemon are not found there. However, you can find any of the 1st through the 4th gen pokemon. 9.) As a new trainer, you can start with any 1st stage, non-legendary pokemon in the 1st through 4th gen rosters that you will RP capturing or receiving later on. However, there are some "limited" pokemon that you will have to provide a good reason for obtaining in your bio. If I don't think it'd good enough, you will not be allowed the pokemon. The limited pokemon are as follows: Kabuto, Omanyte, Aerodactyl, Dratini, Larvitar, Aron, Sableye, Mawile, Trapinch, Lileep, Anorith, Bagon, Beldum, Cranidos, Shieldon, Gible, and Riolu. 10.) If you wish to make a thread occuring in the RP, put (POKE) before the thread title to distinguish it from the other RP threads. HOW POKEMON LEVEL UPOnce you capture a pokemon, it's level will be determined by me based on where you are and how many posts you've made in the RP. When that pokemon is in your team, it levels up once per a certain amount of posts made depending on it's evolutionary stage. The values for each stage are as follows: 1st/Baby stage: 3 posts per level up 2nd stage: 5 posts per level up 3rd stage: 7 posts per level up Legendaries: 10 posts per level up Pokemon with only one evolutionary stage like Skarmory and Pinsir require 5 posts to level up. NOTE: Latias and Latios do NOT count as legendary pokemon in this RP. There are tons of them flying around the world, but they're so good at hiding that they are barely ever seen. As such, they count as one-stage pokemon like Skarmory and Pinsir. Pokemon do not gain levels when in the box. Moves and evolutions happen at the levels they occur in the Black and White versions. Go here for reference. Pokemon do not have a limit of moves they can learn. i.e. they are not limited to only knowing four moves. Also, to avoid the inevitable "I can only use Tail Whip until I've posted 30 times" every pokemon can attack normally without using a move. It's weaker than actually using a move, but it's something. EVOLUTIONLevel Type: Pretty simple. The pokemon reaches the level required and it evolves. Stone Type: Again, simple. Use the required stone on it and it evolves. Happiness Type: Not as simple. This one requires my participation as well. Happiness can't be gauged by post count so it's a plot thing. If your pokemon has been with you long enough and you want to evolve it, ask me if I think you've written the character/pokemon interactions convincingly enough before you do the evolution post. Trading Type: That's pretty obvious. Trade it to another trainer and it evolves. Same with pokemon that only evolve if you trade them with an item. Give the pokemon the item (which will be acquired in game) and trade it. Location Specific Type: There are places around the world that allow pokemon like Eevee to evolve if it levels up while in the area. The hard part is finding them. Move Type: Some pokemon evolve when they level up while knowing a certain move (Like Piloswine evolving into Mamosine when it knows Ancient Power). It pretty much works just like that.

Dias Region GymsIn order to authenticate badges at the Pokemon League registration, each one is infused with a stone mined from Pokemon League gem mines. Each stone is coated in a thin layer of an easily detectable, but outrageously difficult to make substance. When entrants register at the League tournament, each badge is inspected for the type of stone and the coating to make sure they are legitimate. Name: Rina Dracken Gender: Female Age: 17 Home Region: Hoenn Hometown: Mauville Appearance: A young girl with short brown hair covering one eye. She wears an orange martial artist top and black sports shorts. She also wears a red scarf she got from one of her friends back in Hoenn. Personality: Quick-witted and free-spirited. She enjoys being a hero and making people happy. Bio: She grew up amazed by stories of young pokemon trainers who had defeated evil organizations bent on taking over the world with pokemon. It always amazed her to the bravery of these people, that when she heard of the terrorist group attacking the Dias region, her sense of justice caused her to go there and find out what was happening. Before leaving Hoenn on a boat headed to Dias, Rina's uncle gave her a pokemon he had caught for her protection. With high hopes Rina and her new pokemon Ralts, who she nicknamed Jean, set out for Dias. Starting Pokemon: Ralts Team: 1.) Ralts (Jean) Lvl. 3 (1/3) 2.) 3.) 4.) 5.) 6.) Name: Athos Caesar Gender: Male Age: 14 Home Region: Kanto Hometown: Pallet
Appearance: Athos is 5'8" and weighs about 155 pounds. He is muscular (functional not pretty muscles) for a guy his age, and some people are actually afraid of him. He has short brown hair, and stormy blue eyes. He's not all that popular with the ladies because his face looks more like a rugged guy than a pretty boy. He wears a Simple Gren shirt, and a red and brown striped, hooded jacket (always unzipped) and Dark blue jeans.
Personality: Athos has always been an attention seeker. As a baby he would imitate sounds of Pokemon and ask people to talk to their "pets". As he grew older a combination of Neglect from his Father and too much attention from his Mother grew him into a sarcastic pushover with no self confidence. He's generally cheery because of how low expectations he has for just about everything due to how often he had to let things go growing up with divorced parents.
Bio: Athos was the youngest of Four Children. His parents split up two years after he was born. His dad won custody of all the kids, and moved to the Johto region. His mother followed so she could stay close to her children. They lived in New Bark town, until all three of his siblings (two sisters and a brother) left to become Pokemon Champions. His Brother was the only one who succeeded. When he won, he gave Athos his Soul Badge, the first on he had ever won, and Athos swore he would become a champion. But when Athos turned Eleven, they moved back to Kanto, for His father business.
Athos tried to get his trainers license back with professor Oak, but the registration required his dad, and his dad was off working on a Merger at Silph Co. so it had to wait. Whenever his dad came home he just wanted to rest and never bothered. This went on for three years, until Silph sent him to Dias and he took Athos with him. Of course his mother followed and they set up on Radiance Island.
He wasted no time. He quickly urged his dad to sign his papers while they waited for the movers to get to their house, and told his mom goodbye. He was reluctant to leave so fast since his mom only moved there for him. But he had to set out for his dream of becoming a Pokemon master. So he left for New Dawn town, where he was told he could get a free Pokemon.

Not my best sign-up, by any means. Writer's block is not fun. Name: Mason Vaughan Gender: Male Age: 19 Home Region: Kanto Hometown: Lavender Town Appearance: Mason has medium-length choppy black hair and green eyes. For attire, he wears a plain grey t-shirt with a black leather jacket, which is decorated with a single pale blue stripe on each sleeve, as well as casual black jeans. Personality: Mason is calm and composed, for the most part. He prefers to stay fairly reserved socially, being more of an active listener rather than a speaker. He is also rather ambitious and intelligent, as well as a bit of a tough-talker in battle. Bio: Born and raised in Lavender Town, Mason grew up around many kinds of Pokemon. As a young boy, he often helped out his parents, who were volunteers in Pokemon Tower. The young Mason's calming, quiet demeanor soothed the souls of those who had lost their Pokemon, therefore causing Mason to become fascinated with these mysterious creatures. As he grew older, Mason's fascination with Pokemon magnified. He constantly begged his parents for a Pokemon of his own, but since he was their only child, they were naturally cautious of him. This setback caused Mason to not receive his first Pokemon until after his nineteenth birthday, much to his chagrin. A few days after Mason turned nineteen, an acquaintance of Mason's father gave him a Vulpix, which he was looking to give away. This time, Mason's parents gave him their blessing, to not only own a Pokemon, but to also set out on a journey of his own. The acquaintance recommended the Dias Region, which was being plagued by a terrorist group. Despite the danger, Mason opted to go to Dias anyway, thus beginning his journey as a Pokemon Trainer. Starting Pokemon: Vulpix Team: 1.) Vulpix Lvl. 1 (0/3) 2.) 3.) 4.) 5.) 6.) Box: Badges: EDIT: Accepted. Vulpix starts at level 1.

Name: Lucas Virgil Ericson Gender: Male Age: 15 Home Region: Dias Hometown: New Dawn Town Appearance: Lucas is about average height for his age at around five feet and seven inches. His slender build was acquired through years of spending time in the lab with Professor Pine assisting him with research. His clothing of choice consists of a red jacket with a white stripe across the abdomen portion, a black collared shirt underneath which he tends to keep the collar up on, blue jeans, and black flat top shoes. He is almost always seen hoisting his yellow backpack around that holds various scriblings and research items. Lucas' brown hair is usually covered by a red bandanna. Personality: Lucas is confident in most of his endeavors. He is constantly seeking knowledge, his favorite of which is information on ancient cultures and ruins. This is mainly due to his work with Professor Pine, who is obsessed with ancient cultures. Constantly driven to be the best, he is a born leader who is adept in keeping the morale of his friends at maximum. His sense of justice is strong and he cannot deny help to someone in need or make right that which has gone wrong. Unfortunately, he is a bit of a sore loser. He is new to the world of Pokemon battle and has never really been in anything else competitive so he isn't very used to losing at a competition. Well, besides the occasional chess match with his boss, of course. Bio: Lucas is the son of Eric and Amber Ericson. His father was a soldier in the previous Dias Region civil war and was killed in battle. His mother passed away shortly after giving birth to him. With no relatives in the region, Lucas was given into the care of his parents' good friend Professor William Vincent Pine. Pine is a very reclusive and eccentric man, preferring to work at the foot of Mount Twilight rather than his previous home of New Dawn Town. He also disliked children. However, he accepted Lucas out of loyalty to his deceased friends. Lucas grew up as Pine's youngest and most devoted assistant. Unfortunately, the penalty for working with a man like Pine is that Lucas wasn't allowed to get a trainer's licence at the age of 10 like most kids. Every time Lucas asked if he could get one, he was told that he was needed in the lab and that his mentor couldn't bear to let him go. On Lucas' fifteenth birthday, however, Professor Pine told him to make a delivery to the New Dawn Town Pokemon League registry building. Upon arrival, he was greeted by name and, in exchange for the package, was given his Trainer's Licence. Lucas was overjoyed and rushed back to the lab. Pine sat at his desk rolling a pokeball in his fingers when Lucas returned. He explained that he had filled out an application for him the night before and told the registry employees to give him the card when he arrived. As one last birthday gift, Professor Pine gave him the pokeball he was holding. Inside was the swinub that Lucas had come to befriend in his days at the lab. It also just so happened to be the weekly new trainer day at the lab so he was also able to be around fellow newcomers to the League getting their first pokemon as well. Starting Pokemon: Swinub Team: 1.) Swinub lvl 2 (3/6) 2.) 3.) 4.) 5.) 6.) Box: Badges:

Name: Jason DuMourne Gender: Male Age: 36 Home Region: Johto Hometown: Goldenrod City Appearance: Jason wears a heavy trench coat and a fedora over very formal clothes. He is significantly tall, at about 6'5'', and looks very sketchy Personality: Jason is very secretive and mistrusting. Everything is all about winning and he is always number one. He will do anything to further his personal goals. Bio: Jason was born in Goldenrod City to a criminal duo, a Bonnie and Clyde type. They took him everywhere they went and so, he was witness to many crimes at such a young age. When he was old enough, his parents started including young Jason in their schemes. Eventually, however, the law caught up to his parents and Jason, who was too young to be sent to jail, was made a ward of the state and was sent to an orphanage. Never adopted, he grew up alone and bullied. When he was finally old enough to leave the orphanage, he found himself constantly in and out of prison. It has been a while since he leaf the orphanage, and Jason has recently been released from prison early for good behavior. He claims he's ready to turn his life around and has entered the Pokemon League. He says he wanted to join because it would keep him occupied and away from crime. Shortly after his release, he competed in the Bug Catching Contest, where he caught a decent sized Scyther, but did not place. With his first Pokemon secured, he left the Johto region for the Dias region, where a new chapter in the Pokemon League was just beginning to unfold. What his true goals and motivations are, however, only he knows... Starting Pokemon: Scyther Team: 1.) Scyther Lvl 1 (0/3) 2.) 3.) 4.) 5.) 6.) Box: Badges: EDIT: Accepted. Scyther starts at level... you know the drill.

You didn't mention receiving the Scyther previously. Are you going to have him acquire it in the RP? Because if you are then you need to take him off your team so there's no confusion as far as Scyther's post count/exp is considered.
EDIT: I feel stupid. I totally forgot to add a badges field tot he character sheet. It's in and I added it to everyone else's posts.

Name: Brian Whitefield Gender: Male Age: 156 16 Home Region: Sinnoh Hometown: Hearthome City Appearance: Wears black, royal dressing. With golden embroidery. Oh, and he also carries a play sword with. He likes scaring people. Personality: Extremely weird, sometimes tries to act knowledgable, tries to be samurai-like ( due to watching a favourite cartoon show of his), can turn foul-mouthed if pissed off, likes to come up with weird sayings, is overall a nice guy. Shy around women. Bio: Brian is the son of a dragonmaster couple. They tried to implement the principles of dragonmaster training into him but it didn't work out. The first step they tried was gifitng him a Gible when he was twelve. Although he became good friends with the Gible, he wasn't motivated to become like his parents, more or less capture pokemon. He used to watch this awesome TV show where a samurai used to slash through five foes in one hit and easily defeat his enemy. Brian was awed by how powerful the guy was, he wished he could be a samurai. But then one day his parents forced him to watch the pokemon league happening in Sinnoh. He was amazed by how powerful and strong pokemon could be, he decided to go on a journey to become a great pokemon trainer. Although his parents thought he was interested to carry on their legacy, he secretly just wished to take part in the pokemon league. Hearing that the next one would be at the Dias region, Brian took his Gible, 'Sharkers', with him and set out for a journey in the Dias region. Starting Pokemon: Gible Team: 1.) Gible (Sharkers) Lvl 1 (0/3) 2.) 3.) 4.) 5.) 6.) Box: Badges: EDIT: After much deliberation, I'll allow the Gible. However, he may have had the Gible for four years, but he has absolutely NO battle experience yet. If I see you RPing like you know how to battle right off the bat you're gonna be re-evaluated, likely resulting in a starter change.

Alright. The RP will begin sometime tonight when I get around to making the first post. If you haven't made your character yet, do not fret for you can just jump right in after you do.
To balance out everyone's starters, those getting their pokemon in the RP will capture it at a level equal tot he average level of the ones owned by characters who start with one in their team. So, if a lot of people get their starters to level 2 before you catch your starter in Prof. Pine's ranch, it will begin at level 2. However, that is determined by me. Just add the pokemon to your team and I will edit it with the level it's granted.
EDIT: Okay. So it seems there are only two people (Selibas and myself) who haven't made a character that starts out with a pokemon already on their team. I don't know what it is about having a pokemon that has no battle experience that you might as well have just captured a few minutes ago, but it seems to be very appealing. Honestly, it just makes everyone gathering at the professor's lab in the first thread make no sense. If you already have a pokemon, why are you visiting? As such, I am making an addendum.
From now on, if you are making a new trainer and you're not trying to get a limited pokemon, they MUST have no pokemon on their team. It would also help if some people will change their profiles so they get their starter at the lab instead of just having it all along. I mean, three of those profiles could have the pokemon completely omitted and it would make no difference. You don't have to, but it would definitely help first thread make more sense.

Name: Amanda Verity Gender: Female Age: 15 Home Region: Hoenn Hometown: Slateport City Appearance: Amanda stands quite tall for her age at five feet and six inches. Her long blonde hair is usually messy, but she tidies it up by putting it into pig tails. Her bright blue eyes are quite striking when placed in contrast to her often dusty skin. She can usually be seen wearing her dark gray sleeveless top and green skirt which she wears a pair of black spandex shorts underneath. Completing the look are her green shoes and arm bands. Slung around Amanda's shoulder is her bag of brown and white. Personality: Amanda, much like her taste in Pokemon, is very stubborn and rocky in her personality. She's incredibly adventurous and loves to take risks, almost believing herself to be indestructible. Obviously, this leads to trouble, but she tends to refuse help with getting out of the situations she puts herself in. In addition, due to her impulsive nature and self-reliance, she is pretty easily frustrated and her short temper is usually the cause of her downfall in battle. Bio: Early on in her childhood, Amanda discovered her love for tough Pokemon when her uncle, the famous Steven of the Hoenn region Pokemon League, visited one day with his faithful Metagross in tow. She latched on to the man and spent a great deal of her childhood learning of Pokemon, artifacts, and stones from him. Unfortunately, Amanda's family had to move to the Dias region a few months after her fourteenth birthday. Steven gave Amanda's parents a beldum to give to her when she proved to be a worthwhile trainer. He also tasked Amanda with exploring the Dias region's mountains and ruins, of which he was told are in abundance. Now settled in Dias, Amanda has acquired a Trainer's License and has begun her uncle's errand by deciding to explore the caves in Mount Twilight. But first, she needs to get a pokemon. Name: Edgar Lore Gender: Male Age: 16 Home Region: Dias Hometown: Skyline Rise Appearance: Ed has always been a bit... well... wimpy looking. Ever since he was a child, he was never teased about it though, but the reason for that will become apparent shortly. His hair is stark white, despite only being in his teens, though that is a trait that runs in his family and doesn't surprise anyone. Built small, lithe and kind of sickly looking, as a child his nanny was always concerned about his health. Trying to fatten him up with all manner of 'interesting' home recipes, though it never stuck. At best he'd be bloated and gassy for the next few days. Dark blue eyes that no one ever really gets to see because he rarely looks anyone in the eyes, unless you happen to be the floor. He dresses a bit fanciful, with a black vest with golden buttons and white undershirt as well as black pants and finished with gray dressing shoes. Personality: A boy severely lacking in confidence in anything he tries. He tends to keep to his self and prefers to just sit around and not take action. Lazy, but not because he hates doing thinks but because he lacks the initiative to do them. Instead he just lets time pass and let everything stay the same because he fears the change. He's far more knowledgeable and competent then he tends to lead people on to believe, though you'd never hear him say such things. Gentle, and not exactly a fan of hurting other people, or dealing with them in any capacity actually. He doesn't hate people, he's just afraid of them. If it was up to him, he would still be in his home and watching pokemon battles on the television, imagining but never doing. Bio: Edgar is the youngest son of the highly esteemed Vladimir Lore, a hero and general of the civil was years past. He and his Salamence were known throughout the entire land, striking fear into the hearts of his enemies, human and pokemon alike. He was known as the "King of Dragons" by both his enemies and his allies, and one of the strongest fighters on the Ebony side of the Dias War. Ever since the treaty had been signed, he has eased into a sense of retirement. Missing the action, but realizing he is far too old to be fighting in such a war any long. Eventually he settled down in Skyline Rise in a mansion where he and his family lived after the birth of his youngest son Edgar. But that's the story of the Hero Vladimir, King of Dragons. This is the story of Edgar, son of Vladimir. Ever since he was a child, he had been taken care of more by his nannies then his parents. His father being busy training his other children, his older brother and sister, the ways of pokemon. His mother on the other hand was distant from everyone, aloof in her love and a bit lazy when it comes to caretaking. More then ready to hand her children off to the nanny to take care of, only being a superficial influence on their life. Feeling proud of herself for changing one of a thousand diapers because Erika was busy dealing with another child. As a result, Edgar grew up with his own parents being strangers to him. Especially his father, whom was such an imposing figure on his life. No one treated him normal, but rather some mix of overdone shows of kindness or general fear and avoidance. If you'd ask anyone, they would say they wouldn't care, they would pretend to not care about it all, but they did. He knew, they always did. He grew up in general reclusion, wilting in the shadow of not only his siblings who had gone off to become successful pokemon trainers, but in the shadow of his father his self. Some impossibly large figure in his mind that he could never approach, let alone feel close to. By the time he had tried to approach his youngest son, the damage had been done. He couldn't get close, no matter how he tried. Instead Edgar just hid away from the world, content to waste his life doing nothing. Eventually Vlad decided it was time for Edgar to leave and start his own journey, and he was going to whether he wanted to or not. More or less kicking the child out of his own house, saying he was not allowed to return until he had come back on his own accord. Traveling through all the regions and collecting badges to arrive there. He didn't make him leave empty handed though, he gave him the child of his own pokemon. The mighty Salamence that had battled so many in the war, the little Bagon being Edgar's first pokemon. His son using the son of his pokemon. It is currently at Professor Pine's laboratory, sent there by his father to make sure Edgar starts from the beginning. His first stop is to visit the professor of the region, professor Pine. An acquaintance of his father, and a very... eccentric man. Visiting on the weekly new trainer day to start his journey and get the pokemon his father promised, whether he wants to or not. Starting Pokemon: Bagon Team:1.) 2.) 3.) 4.) 5.) 6.) Box: Badges: EDIT: Accepted.

(OOC: Hope this is better) Name: Sin William Grim Gender: Male Age: 15 Home Region: Dias Hometown: Adamant Morning Town
Appearance: Sin stands five feet and eight inches tall. He was the tall child of his family but the weakest looking one. He was frequently under estimated and people would try and bully him and they would soon regret it as Sin would fight back if anyone would put their hands on them. His hair is a short jet black which is strange from coming from a family where the common hair color is blonde. Actually all of his family members have blonde hair except him which always puzzled his father and Sin even had red eyes which was weird he didn’t have the family eye color which was blue or green. He wears a black highcollared jacket over a silver T-shirt a pair of black fingerless gloves over his hands. Sin also wears a pair of black slim jeans and sneakers. He also carries around a black back pack.
Personality: Sin is an outgoing up beat kid but is extremely shy around strangers. He’s very adventurous and always had a positive attitude never really let anything faze him. He can be very quite though really when he just thinking about things. Sin doesn’t like to talk much he prefers to keep people at an emotional distance. Due to this Sin doesn’t ever really make any friends because anytime someone starts to become close to him he just pushing them away. Sin loves to take risks and to take on challenges that make him seem like a fool for attempting. Never backs away from a challenge and loves to fight. Sin also has a talent for cooking. He loves to make new and tasty dishes and will put random things in what he’s cooking just to see if it taste good. Sin likes to keep things to himself and likes to keep people guessing what he’s really all about. He hates to see other people sad or mistreated and will do anything to put a smile on their face and then quickly disappear as after that he would become too shy to speak anymore.
Bio: Growing up in Dias Sin was kind of oblivious of the war due to the fact that his family would keep all talk of it quite despite his father being in it. His father was known for being the soldier with the famous Gallade. His Gallade was known for taking down every opponent it came up against. His father received medals for his skill and he even saved a general and his men from an enemy ambush. His father, Kennith Grim, was one of the best fighters on the Radiance side of the Dias wars. Despite all his recognition of being a great fighter and having tribute a lot during the war they didn’t live the high life but they certainly were not poor they lived in a normal two story house and lived a simple life. After the war though his father didn’t just turn in his Pokémon ways he became a Pokémon researcher finding and studying rare Pokémon in the Dias region. The reason that the war was hush, hush, in his household is because Sin’s uncle died during the war and his father had a hard time dealing with it and didn’t want Sin to know or any of his siblings for that matter to know about it. His father honestly despised the war.
Speaking of his siblings, Sin was the youngest child out of three other children. His brothers Jin and Brink were the troublemakers of the family always causing mayhem but they mainly just played pranks on Sin. Sin’s sister Jasmine was just as loud and outgoing as her brothers but not as annoying. Sin was the background child not because his siblings were better than him at anything and stood out more no not at all Sin was the one with the most talent it was just the fact that he was so quite. Being older his brothers both left at the same time for their Pokémon journey’s and his sister left a little while after. Sin didn’t go mainly because he had other interest at the time mainly cooking. He loved to cook he loved it so much.
His father was getting quite concerned that Sin had no interest in Pokémon at all. Sin actually loved Pokémon but didn’t think he had it in him to become a Pokémon trainer mainly he didn’t think he was going to live up to his father’s legacy. His father disagreed out of all his children he figured that Sin could be just as great and even be better than him. z. So his father sent him off to New Dawn town to meet the professor and start his journey.

His father wasn't important in the war except for the fact that his pokemon was famous, he received several medals, he once saved a general, and was one of the best soldiers in the Radiance army. That sounds pretty damn important to me.
Also, your reason for getting Riolu is really no reason at all. You could swap it out with any other pokemon and it would perfectly fit with the bio. So I'm gonna say no on the Riolu.
