Name: Alaric Kyyneltya
Class: Novice -> Myrmidon -> Blademaster
Text: Gray
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Sky Blue
Age: 18 (Now 20)
Appearance: Fair skin. Hair length is to the upper back. 6’2”. 130 lbs. Slender, yet very toned. He holds a large scar that passes across the front of his left hip. Has a black ink tattoo of his family crest on his left shoulder.
Clothes: Gray and brown tunic. Blue sash. Black boots go mid-way up the calf. Baggy khaki pants held with a slim brown rope belt. Another belt worn loosely holds his sword’s sheath.
Born in: South-Western Ilia
Alaric was born and raised in a village surrounded by the mountains and the pines known to grow throughout Ilia. Except for the sparse game and little bit of farming of indigenous plants in the surrounding forest, much of the lifeblood that ran through the village were from salaries of mercenaries abroad or the trade that came in from Etruria to Arphen. Alaric lived in relative comfort, his mother a retired Pegasus Knight. However, his family lived in relative modesty compared to their peers of similar success. He has two older sisters who are Pegasus Knights and one older brother. One of his sisters, Audri, died during an early morning training flight over the mountains over two years ago, which is something he had struggled over for some time. His father is an aging scholar of the dark arts, though his ancestors had lived in the village for generations, he tries to keep his talents unseen. He passed the arts down to his son, Synkkis.
Not being the eldest, Alaric is not in line with any sufficient means of an inheritance when his parents pass on. Being the youngest and the most reckless, Alaric had become mildly infamous for drinking, gambling, and womanizing. These vices were never really serious, but they do cause clashes between himself and his family. His coming of age has past and Alaric was caught in between supreme independence and freedom and the comforts of home and family. This brought him to leave home and fight as a mercenary, as he never had the patience for any other means of labor. He is reckless, he is naïve, and he is deranged and filthy. His lessons will be hard-learned and whether or not he lives through it depends on his ability to learn and adapt as old habits will be broken.
Alaric is not fond of the new immigrants entering Ilia from other countries as he feels like they’re weakening the way of life and running away from their problems. This has grown since the war between Ilia and Etruria has been in his area, but he tries to keep out of it. He has had to protect the home from deserters and other bandits with his family. Ever since Synkkis returned from his journeys, Alaric decided to join him to make decent coin to send back home as well as help him become even more independent. He has little respect for authority unless he is proven that the authority is actually making changes and not all bluff. The Novice has little tact and will voice his opinion even if it harms other people’s feelings or makes him enemies. He has little sympathy for weakness or righteous compassion towards a greater cause. Alaric doesn’t like any shape or form of formality and despises nobility.
