Aaron tramped down the street. It was tiring to walk for hours, even with regular breathers. He and Lilith had headed north after leaving that mess in Worde behind them. They'd stayed off the road as much as they could, but here seemed out of the way enough to risk it for better travel conditions. He'd tried to stay upbeat, and keep Lilith encouraged as well, but he wasn't certain what kind of success he was having. On either front, to be honest.
The road they were on was passing through the trees, twisting around mild bends on its way North. There was a general uphill trend to the path, though not at all times. They seemed to be nearing the mountains. That was good. As they moved Northwards, they also came closer to the rest of Elibe.
Things were mostly quiet, until the quick clip of hooves from ahead of them alerted Aaron that there was someone coming on horseback, and fast. He looked up, too late to do anything but see the rider riding along at a fast pace. The rider barely slowed, instead shouting a warning that the green-haired sage hardly caught.
[Orange]"Bandits! They're attacking the village!"[/Orange]
Aaron watched the rider continuing on down the path, not even stopping for them. Fear. It didn't take special training to detect it on that one.
"Well, sounds like there's some people who could use some help up ahead, Lilith." He paused, wondering what the shamaness's opinion on the matter was. He knew his own: Reason if it looked like it would work. Otherwise, blow them up.
"If you're sticking with me, please be careful. I don't want to see you get hurt."

On the complete opposite end of the little town from where Aaron and Lilith would ultimately arrive, two teenagers stood, observing the bandits from far enough away that they would not be noticed. The blue-haired one stood silently, her eyes flitting between the tome in her hands and the hooligans looting that town. At her feet, sitting as regally as ever, was a black cat we know as Solomon. Isabel, the shaman in blue, stopped what she was doing for a moment, taking the moment to glance over at her traveling partner and best friend, the bard Calvin Toros. She could honestly say that she had no idea what he was doing, but she was sure it wasn't useful. Shamans nor bards were front-lines fighters, and neither of them were well armored. That was the nice thing about having Rayl and even Jya along; they could get in close and get their hands dirty. If it came down to a fair fight, Isabel knew that a bandit would kill her as soon as she got in range of that nasty axe, and she didn't even want to think of what they would do to Calvin.
The shaman returned to her reading, although it was honestly just something to do before they rushed headlong into almost-certain death. She had read this tome too many times in the past... However long it had been since she started this whole shindig. Isabel had actually lost count of how many days, weeks, and maybe even months had passed since Valorian up and left with Jya. She immediately stopped herself from thinking about them again, knowing too well that she would just end up feeling awful. And Valorian! He still owed her, big time. Ugh! Isabel! Get a grip, girl. Don't think about them!, she thought, mentally scolding herself. With a snap, her tome was shut, held a little out in front of her so her right hand could hover over the cover. She smiled, looking slightly creepy with her disheveled hair, pale skin... In general, she just looked like a scary student of the elder magic. Which was actually good. Maybe she could scare off the bandits. "Well, Calvin? Are you ready to go and thoroughly get our butts kicked?"

Calvin stood loyally by Isabel’s side his azure eyes staring down from the tree branch he had perked himself on, a decent distance from the actual bandit attack. His legs swung joyfully back and forth as they hung from the branch, despite the current situation, while he himself hummed a peppy tune. Calvin just stared innocently at the looting and heard the occasional scream. Normally Calvin would be so worried or even curious, but he knew it was a bandit attack from recent experience, and he also knew they were inevitably going to fight them off. Well, Isabel was gonna fight them off, Calvin can just be cheerleader or something. Even if Isabel wasn’t a frontline fighter, the two of them should be able to fight, unless they were underestimating their strength? Calvin of course never thought of that last possibility, his naïve young mind was stuck on “gonna go beat up some baddies.”
Calvin sketched silently away on his sketch pad, the scribbles and scratches of his worn coloured pencils easily heard through the silence of the pair. Calvin heard Isabel speak and turned his head down to his partner as he jumped down from the low lying branch.
“Okey Dokey.”
With a simple nod he slid the sketch pad back into his hefty bag as well as his colouring pencils. The bag was big and clearly full, it looked as if it would be impossible to carry. However even for a bard Calvin seemed to have a n exceptional super power of carrying this bag no matter what was inside. The bag could attract some bandit attention but, it’s not like they were going to catch him, it’d just be an endless game of cat chase mouse, mouse skip with glee, cat get blown up by elder magic. Calvin pulled out his lute, for the first time in a while, and strummed rapidly, playing a fast paced, almost salsa sounding tune on the lute strings. He skipped along behind Isabel as the young pair approached the city.

Isabel smiled, glad to see that someone was still in their usual up-beat mood, only to have her smile quickly turn upside-down. All her previous skirmishes against bandits that had been just her (and Calvin, if you could even count him...) had been in the dead of the night, where they could easily sneak up on one at a time... And Solomon was never in harm's way. The shaman swore silently as she attempted to think up a quick solution... Well, waiting for nightfall was definitely out. The whole town could have been in flames before then. Telling the cat to just stay here wouldn't work either; he was stubborn and thought he knew best. Solomon would just end coming down anyway... The shaman sighed, and then turned to face their destination. "Well then boys... Let's go see what kind of damage we can cause. Solly, if you could, would you mind keeping an eye on Calvin? I would like to leave this town with all three of us as intact as possible, thank you very much." Isabel said, and then began jogging down to the town, Solomon and presumably Calvin following her.
When they got down to the town, a house that had so far managed to avoid the brunt of the flames and axes provided a little bit of last-minute shelter for the group, and it ES there that Isabel took out her Flux tome again. She ran her hand over the cover for a second, thinking about everything that book had been through with her, readying herself mentally one last time. "Now Calvin, remember. Lay low. Stay out of harm's way." As she started to go, she stopped and looked back at the bard and the cat. "And don't do anything stupid!" she scolded, and then, already calling up her magic, ran around the side of the house, sending a Flux into the ground only for it to rise up a few feet away, surrounding a bandit who had been terrorizing some civilians.

Lilith had no quarrels with the way they were traveling. They traveled light and fast, trying to get away from Worde, and she saw it as a good idea. Aaron was a great leader, and she liked following him. The days went by quickly, but the nights... Lilith spent most nights lying away, unable to get a restful sleep. Some nights, when she knew Aaron was in a deep sleep, she would walk some distance from camp and practice magic.
Some nights she would meditate, other nights she would access the part of her mind were Arum had wedged herself, summon the residual memories, and practice the darkest of magics. She would summon spectral swords to fight with, black the ground and will it to shake and roll, and once night, the most recent one, she had used magic to exert her will on a rabbit. It was complicated, but she poured energy into the animal, focusing on a part of its brain that the memories told her, and whisper directions as she did so. She had managed to make the rabbit do a few cartwheels, but released her hold over it and wretched, ashamed of herself.
"Bandits!" someone shouted. Lilith didn't want to fight, but knew that the village needed help. Some part of her, deep and dark in her mind, said, Time to try our little tricks on bigger game then, Lil she shuddered at her own internal monologue and stepped next to Aaron.
"I think we can take them," she smiled reassuringly, "after all, a sage and a shaman are forces to be reckoned with. Let's do this!"
Lilith summoned a ball of dark energy and wrapped it around her right arm. She did the same with her left, so two tentacles of darkness covered both her arms and hands. She ran forward, aiming for a bandit in the middle of attacking a villager. She whipped her right arm in front of her, and the tentacle elongated, reaching for the bandit. It hooked around her ankle, and she pulled him to the ground. "You should not have come here!" she said grimly. She directed the tentacle on her left arm underground, navigating between rocks and animal burrows with her mind. It resurfaced under the bandit, turning the solid ground under him to a void. A smaller tentacle rose from the puddle and snapped the bandit's neck, then her disappeared, dragged into the depths of the earth by Lilith's magic.
Winded, Lilith resolved that she would have to make less of a show next time. Maybe fling rocks, or use her shadow claws. Then again... Could she try and make them fight one another...? She figured enchanting humans was beyond her skill level, but that dark part of her really wanted to try it.

Isabel and Calvin had made their way to the village in no time at all, Calvin put his lute away so he wouldn’t draw attention to them. Fantastic music was very attention grabbing, you see? Isabel wondered about their previous battles with the bandits. It is true they fought mostly at night, using the darkness and distance to their advantage, but out in the day they were walking targets. Isabel wouldn’t be able to fight from afar unless taking cover, the bandits would just run over, and Calvin.. uh well yea. So of course their only choice was to find some cover and use it to their advantage. Of course none of these thoughts crossed his young mind.
haha, Isabel is gonna be all like pewpow, and then the bandits are gonna be like, too strong lets run. Then Calvin will swoop in and become best friends with everyone they saved.
An excellent strategy indeed! Calvin smiled, he was guarded by Isabel and Solomon, he was like invincible now. His current understandings lead him to believe that of course. In his eyes Isabel was undefeatable. Calvin followed Isabel into one of the houses, but it wasn’t going to last very long especially when they attacked. Calvin nodded and instantly dropped to the floor lying completely flat. He wasn’t sure what Isabel was doing but, lying here was boring. Calvin rolled back and forth across the floor. Before sitting up and looking around, he began rubbing Solomon impatiently before hearing something familiar. It sounded like Isabel fighting but it was like, it wasn’t because like, she was like, like RIGHT HERE?!?! Huuuuh??
“Izzy someone is fighting I hear it!”

Aaron took a mixed position as he and Lilith reached the village, close enough to keep an eye on things, but far enough for them to have enough room to work with. After seeing the shamaness' magic crushing the earth, and then having no trouble pulling a man down into it, he figured it would be safer to keep a safe distance between them established in battle. Less chances of friendly fire that way, and with the flashy and exciting nature of anima magic surrounding him, he figured he'd have plenty of enemies drawn his way. It was just safer... unless he was overrun.
The sage looked at the town. Houses burning, villagers panicking, and attackers all to pleased at the prospects of looting the place for all it was worth. He saw one of the bandit's beating a man, probably a farmer, to death, while the rest of a family huddled in a corner, fearfully hoping they wouldn't be next. The bandits Aaron witnessed here relished the fear they inspired and the power they held over the villagers. Things were breaking, people dying, and for what? It was such a waste! Nothing but a tragic waste which would kill many, and leave the lucky ones scarred, wondering what had brought this on them. The answer was greed, anger, fear, and whatever else had the men attacking the village to become what they were today. For once, Aaron no longer felt the fury. It had burnt itself out. Only remorse and pity for those who were so weak as to take advantage of their neighbors like this remained. Remorse, pity, and the will to put a stop to it, despite the cost.
One of the brigands lit another house on fire, laughing in sadistic glee as the fire began to arc up the building. But then the flames began to act odd. They stopped climbing the building, instead reorienting themselves towards the man that had set them on the house. A moment later, they leapt off the building, leaving the blackened front of the house to engulf the bandit in a glowing inferno. His screams were drowned out by the sound of the chaos all around. The bandit beating the farmer only looked up in time to see an orange red flash shooting his way, before he fell back, knocked bodily off his victim by force of flame, unable to escape as the fires slowly devoured his life. The green haired sage was already scouring the area for more to do, a grim expression on his face. Hopefully, that family would be able to escape. Sadly, most of the burning houses were already too engulfed in flames for him to be able stop their fires.
He spun slowly, careful to make sure he wasn't going to be surrounded. Now was no time to lose concentration.

The blood continued to rush to his head. One of the houses that was in fact not burned yet, had quickly been set up to house a very annoying prisoner. So there sat Tearus, his legs tied to the rafters, his wrists tied to his elbows, and his eyes blindfolded. His left wrist was slightly more loose than the other, and Tearus could probably get out of it if he popped his arm out of socket. He'd rather not do that til he could see the man left to guard him. The man was clearly unhappy he didn't get to be among the first to reap the spoils of the innocence, and Tearus' talkative character and optimistic demeanor didn't help.
Tearus had been traveling with the bandits for a few days. He'd slowly been redistributing the stolen wealth to the citizens they were taken from. It didn't go so well when he killed a bandit in his sleep after a few acts that greatly irked the young man quite a lot. So, here he stood, or hung rather, practically sacked from his short lived brigand job. Wouldn't t be funny if he had been imprisoned in a sack? Yes, yes it would.
"Hey, guard, wouldn't it have been funny if you all had stuck me in a sack after sacking me?" The guard kicked him in the stomach. "Not your style of humor? Okay how 'bout this. How many soldiers does it take to destroy a large Lyci--" Another kick showed that apparently the man didn't appreciate Ostia humor either. Tearus struggled to breath, but luckily he was stretched out. He heard the sounds of fighting, and the man did too.
"Does it bother you to be stuck here watching me? Would you rather be outside with your friends, feeding your vial tendencies? How about you let me down, give me my sword, and let me fight you fairly? I'll probably lose, but then again I'm a thief, and I fight dirty." The man didn't respond, but he moved uncomfortably. Tearus sat for a few minutes in silence, hating it. After a few more minutes he couldn't resist himself, "So, what do you think of the weather we're having?" Tearus got a blow to the stomach, and simply smiled. He smiled even through the man gagging him.
He began to create sounds something like singing through the cloth.

Isabel's latest attack sputtered out as Calvin yelled, and it was only by luck she managed to avoid the charging bandit. "Shut up, Calvin! There is lots of fighting, I know! Mostly just pillaging, true, but-" The shaman didn't finish that statement as she watched the flames on a house literally jump off and down, burning a bandit into a nicely chared corpse. She stood still for a moment, and then sidestepped another vertical swing from the bandit. She looked at him for a moment as he attempted to pull his axe from the ground, shaking her head in annoyance. "What, does attack order mean nothing to you? It's my turn, idiot." she said, grinning, and then suffocated him in a ball of darkness. The shaman turned around, sending another ball of Flux into the earth, and then spiraling up the legs of a charging bandit, who fell face-first onto the ground. Isabel sighed, shaking her head yet again.
It was obvious someone... Scratch that, two someones were assisting them, most likely unwittingly. Now that she took a moment to look, she could see a blonde girl who appeared to be wielding Elder Magic like Isabel herself. You know, if dark tendrils of energy were anything to go by. But where was the anima mage? The one... Oh, more bandits attempting to kill her. Right. Back to combat.
Isabel fired off another Flux, this one hitting a bandit straight in the chest, knocking him back into one of his buddies. The blue-haired shaman scolded herself; she needed to be using lethal force! And then she noticed the man was bleeding from his chest. Oh. Right. The pure crushing force of nothingness was rather shocking sometimes. "Calvin, I think we've got an anima mage assisting us!" Isabel shouted, running back towards the house she had left Calvin and Solomon at. When she got inside, she closed the door, leaning against it. Almost immediately, an axe went through the wooden door, and Isabel sighed. She looked at Calvin for a moment, and then around the room as she sent a Flux spell through the door to attack that bandit. "Calvin. Where is Solomon?"
The cat in question was right now standing calmly within the house with the bandit guarding the thief Tearus, just staring at the stupid bandit who hadn't even noticed the black cat pad softly within the room. Humans without magic were just so stupid... But, then again, Solomon did pride himself on being the best sneaker in the history of cats avoiding humans.

Lilith caught the sight of another group fighting the bandits, coming from the other side of the village. Hoping they would see that she and Aaron were not with the bandits, she closed in on an axe wielder harassing a family clustered by their home.
Lilith threw her Luna tome in the air. It opened, it's pages flipping rapidly. Her lips moved rapidly, summoning a power from deep within her spirit. Glyphs appeared in the air, surrounding the bandits, freezing him. The family glanced at the shaman, then fled, waving a short, stuff thanks to Lilith. Lilith barked the final word of her spell, and the man was buffeted by multiple dark balls of energy. He staggered, then ran towards Lilith, wounded.
Lilith caught her tome with one hand, and with the other, summoned a shadowy claw. She swung at the man as he closed in on her, but her timing was off. She missed, barely able to put up a pathetic shield between the man's axe and her flesh.
She skidded backwards, the Luna tome flying out of her hands. Not taking any more chances, she lumped on the man, her shadow claw becoming a blade. The blade entered the man, dissolved, inside of his body. She blasted the man backward and let the magic inside of him do the rest. He tried to ran at Lilith again, but fell over, his heart stopped by the dissolved blade.
Lilith's breath came in short gasps now. She had come so far, yet she did not have the power to utilize the knowledge Arum left her. She needed power.

More bandits. The village was under attack from many of them. He saw Lilith dealing with one close by, and caught a flash of color closing a door not far away before another axeman began trying to break his way through. A moment later, he fell away from the door as he took a hit from a flux. Not one of Lilith's though. There was another dark mage fighting here.
With a stroke of his arm, the green haired sage detonated an explosion right behind the bandit near the door, scorching his back and flinging him into the outer wall near the closed door with a sudden and final thud. That would deal with him, and free up whoever was inside to join up with them.
"Lilith! Let's get closer to that house!" He pointed at the location where the other shaman was as he yelled over to her. If they could join up, then the three of them could present a stronger, united front. Hopefully they wouldn't just attack on sight, because he wasn't in the mood to see his effort there wasted. He could already feel his energy being taxed away. It wasn't a problem yet, but dealing with an entire village full of bandits would be rough work. Even for him.... He filed away a mental note to himself to practice efficiency more often before heading for the shack he'd pointed out himself.
"Hey! If you're with the villagers in there, we could really use the help out here!" Aaron raised his voice to the building, hoping to reach whoever was inside.

Calvin’s mouth shot closed like a heavily guarded titanic safe, almost making the actual sound of metal slamming shut. The clenched mouth frowned entirely upside down in an ‘n’ shape. He didn’t like getting in Izzy’s way and his head turned to the window, looking out from inside the house. His eyes widened as the flames of a nearby house leaped from the building and incinerated a bandit. It was quite a violent site for Calvin to behold, even after spending so much time watching Isabel’s elder magic, he still didn’t like fighting. Magic was strong and frightening and very uncomforting to watch. Still, it was incredibly impressive to be able to manipulate the flames; Calvin’s head peered out the window and looked from side to side. Who did that… Calvin stared blankly and bored out the window as Isabel fought, the fighting had nothing to do with him he was just used to letting Isabel beat everyone.
His head turned back when Isabel spoke once more. An anima mage? Calvin didn’t have a friend like that yet! Calvin jumped as an axe dug through the door. Oh dear, was Calvin going to have to move again? Calvin shrugged about the location of Solomon, after all Solomon was supposed to be protecting him. Calvin dusted himself off but turned is head curiously as he heard more fighting and screaming getting closer and closer to the house. It was too dangerous to stay in here now. At this point Calvin was better off running around town. Calvin’s head popped out when the new mage spoke, and he popped out from the house standing openly beside Isabel.
“Yeah, let’s work together to save the villagers!”
Calvin smiled broadly, there was absolutely no doubt he looked like a normal villager. His head then looked from side to side, where had Solomon gotten off to?
“Oh right, the house.”
Calvin slid back into the house so he wouldn’t be a standing target and made his way to the window. He slid the window open and very VERY carefully and slowly, almost ninja like, his head slowly revealed itself from behind the window. Sllowly rising, and rising, until eventually his eyes peered over the windowsill. Then he very loudly whispered over to the group, trying not to blow their cover.
"My name is Caaalviiiin."

Isabel turned around as someone yelled in, inquiring whether she and Calvin were with the villagers. With them? No. Fighting for them because apparently no one from villagers in this world picked up weapons at any point in their life? Yes. Before she could even say anything, Calvin had thrown the door wide open, answering the green-haired man behind it. Isabel, who had her back to the door and was just looking over her shoulder, put her left hand to her temple and turned to face the green-haired one. "As my... Friend so bluntly said, yes, we're fighting on behalf of these villagers." Isabel said, and then sighed again as Calvin had shenanigans with the window. "And my name is Isabel LeFury. I also happen to have a black cat who seems to get into the most trouble possible. You haven't happened to see him, have you? Oh, never mind."
Isabel brushed past the man, standing outside, generating a Flux in her right hand. "I assume you're our mystery anima mage then? Or maybe sage, judging from that level of flame manipulation. I should have some idea; my brother would go on about how cool it would be to be that powerful all the time before... But we don't exactly have time for this, do we?" The shaman mentally slapped herself for getting sidetracked, and, one hand gesture later, sent a tendril around a bandit's neck. "I assume you have a plan other than overpowering them? Maybe a big, scary show of fire and darkness? I might not look it, but I'm kind of running low on stamina." Which wasn't entirely true; Isabel still looked pale and exhausted from her sleepless nights of drawing upon her growing magical power.

What an unusual pair to stumble across in the midst of battle. One seemed prone to forgetting things, such as battles surrounding him. He'd opened the door immediately, which didn't speak to his survival instincts, but would save them all time in this circumstance.
As the blondhaired kid ran back inside so he could whisper his name out the window, the sage turned his attention to the blue haired girl. Despite looking worn, she was sharp, cutting straight into business after a minimal amount of family rant. An odd pair indeed.
"Aaron Winsett. And yes, let's deal with the attack first." How could they deal with this situation? With all the brigands spread over the town looting, what could be done other than seek and destroy?
"As to a plan, the enemy is so spread out that it'll be difficult to scare them away. It'll have to be something so big, and unnatural that they can't help but look, and then grow worried." Recognition seemed to light in the sage's eyes as he realized he was carrying a tome that might work for that. But, he'd had so little experience with it. He had barely had time to crack the cover of the book. If he began messing this up, he would have precious little knowledge to correct it. Spellslinging by instinct, eh? Well, Aaron, let's hope you've gotten better over the years.
"I have something that might work! We need to get to the center of town!"
Touching the fire tome in his bag, he pulled power through it, forming two fireballs which slowly circled above him, ready to be sent out at a moment's notice. Before long, he was striding along towards where the center of town should be. A flick of his wrist sent one of the fireballs zipping after a bandit turning down a sidestreet. The sound of a small explosion followed by a pained yell drifted back to the Sage.
A sharp tug on his cloak made the sage jump. His eyes fixed on a scrap of dark blue cloth pinned to the ground by arrow only a few feet away. Archers were not something he wanted to be dealing with right now! They were a significant threat to anyone caught unawares. Particularly the unarmored!
He looked around, trying to spot the bowman before he could get another shot off. There you are... He spotted the enemy just in time to see another shaft let fly at them. He'd found a spot to snipe from on the deck of a two story building.
"Up there, the sage shouted, pointing at the archer. Almost instantly, his ball of fire was arcing in that direction, but not at the bowman. As soon as it was far enough away, it expanded outward into a wave of flame. It was almost like a shield. The green-haired sage made sure to maximize the heat yield of the fire spell, pumping as much extra energy into it as he could manage.
The shaft of the arrow turned to ash as it passed through the rapidly dissipating wall of flame, leaving the arrowhead without much mass or any reason to continue flying straight. It was a minor bite as the arrowhead pierced a little under an inch into his chest. Far less of a danger than it would have been a moment ago. The archer was still looking on as the sage angrily pulled the piece of metal from his chest and threw it on the ground.

((OOC: Sometimes I question why Calvin is not supreme overlord of the world))
Calvin allowed the others to introduce themselves and even remained quiet when he wasn’t paid that much attention. He wanted to be a part of the conversation but he had to stay hidden. Hidden inside this house where he would be safe... Sometimes he wished he could use fancy magic like the others. He could perfectly imagine it! Calvin defender of friendship! He could travel the world saving everyone and making lots of best friends and the whole world would become a super friendly place and everyone would be friends! There was nothing complicated about it.
Calvin brought his attention back into the conversation happenign outside the house. This new friend, Aaron, and his partner decided to help out. He smiled gleefully and after takign a few moments to gather what just happened, and think about his new friend, raised his head back up to look out the window. When he looked out he saw... the group wandering towards the center of the town. Hey no fair! They can’t just leave Calvin alone to wait, he could help too! Right? He can't fight but... he does other stuff... Yea he's been helping Isabel this whole journey!
Unsatisfied with his current position he decided he was going to do something about it and hopped to his feet! He let the others take care of the fighting but he was going to go exploring! He’ll save everyone aswell, and keep himself safe! No one will even notice he was gone, he'd just come back after he saved everyone. Calvin peeked out of the hut once the others had walked on a bit. His head darted from side to side.
“The coast is clear!”
He rolled out of the house, tumbling to the side of another building and standing against the wall, hiding (very noticeably) in the shadow of the building. Travelling with Jya had of course taught him some outstanding ninja skills. Again, he peered his head out from beside the building checking for opponents. After seeing a fireball whiz on by on a crossing street he shot behind the building again. Allowing a moment to pass, he looked out again, ok it was safe! He repeated this stealthy tumbling (lying down and rolling across the floor like a five year old playing in the mud) technique.
He came to a house; it had somehow been unharmed from the pillaging. Perhaps there was still someone inside? He had to let them know they were in danger! He confidently swirled out of his hiding spot and stood at the frame. Instantly he noticed a big threatening bandit, whose back was thankfully turned to the door, his eyes widened and instantly Calvin leaped back into hiding. He gulped. His memory scanned through what he had just seen; there was someone in there, tied up! Solomon was also in there but Calvin hadn’t seen him at all. Calvin thought to himself again for a moment.
“That poor man needs me to save him! I will show the real powers of friendship and save him! Oh but I can't fight, fighting is so mean! No, I have to this man needs to be saved, this friend needs saving! This time, I'll help my friends, I'll save this friend! I will prove myself as a friend!”
Calvin never fought, this would really be his first attempt at it ever. He hated the thought of it, but he didn't have to kill anyone, just scare them off! No problem, he could be scary! He took a moment and practiced some scary faces. At this point Calvin still hadn’t thought about whether or not the others realized he was gone, or more importantly, he wasn’t taking note of the fact the bandit was a billion times bigger than him. This moment was just so unexpected, certainly unlike Calvin! Perhaps he was starting to learn something. Or maybe he was just more headstrong and oblivious than ever, friendship is friendship after all! Calvin looked around, aha! The window was open, but it was the second floor. .. leading to more of a balcony inside the house. Calvin stepped back and took a might leap to the window grasping onto it with his hands and miraculously pulling himself up.
--A few minutes after Calvin actually managed to get inside—
He stared down at the pair, when suddenly he noticed Solomon at the other side of the balcony, looking down. He waved over enthusiastically and beamed a smile with his big pearly whites. He pulled out his lute from his bag and stood in the shadows (still very visible by now, and in fact if the bandit guard hadn’t seen him he was a pretty lame guard.) Calvin played a hot Spanish melody on his stringed instrument.
“Release my friend!”
Why Calvin was actually doing this for a stranger was really quite simple, his number one rule: A stranger is just a friend you haven’t met yet! He was determined to show how good of a friend he could be, he was going to pay back everyone for all their help in protecting him! He continued speaking as he played the Spanish salsa melody.
“Foul Bandit, I am Calvin Toros and I will stop you, as friendship is my witness I WILL – HIYA!”
Aha very clever of young Calvin, that guard was most certainly not expecting Calvin to attack IN THE MIDDLE OF HIS OWN SENTENCE! Calvin leaped at the guard from the balcony, Soaring down to the floor below, his lute in his hand as he prepared to tackle the guard! Soaring, Soaring, CALVIN SOARED THROUGH THE AIR, QUICK LIKE A BULLET AND LETHAL LIKE A CANNON BALL.
“HIIIYAAAAA”
thump
Calvin smacked against the back of the Bandit, who was oh wait that’s right, he was a billion times bigger than him. The bandit remained entirely un-affected, not even moved an inch, and after painfully pancaking himself against the bandit Calvin fell backwards onto the floor.
((OOC: I love this.
So much. Hmm I hope Calvin isn't in too much trouble, someone kindly save him again?))
