With her life on the line, Helen managed to get her lance up to break the force of the blow. However, the axe slid down and gashed her right hand. Cursing the Bern man, she knew everything was all up and escape was the only way.
Cyril saw this as not enough. He recovered after his attack and brought a side-swing in towards the mid-section which she just managed to dodge. Now with her getting situated on her pegasus, she strained to keep control of her frightened mount. The bezerked man took advantage of this and yet again closed the distance. He attacked from overhead and cut well into her thigh, the leather armor collapsing on the sharp edge of the blunt attack. It saved her a limb, however.
"You damned Bernese!" She shouted, taking off. Helen dropped her lance and held her thigh in pain as the pegasus scurried to the top and out. Schweitzer, in his rage, attempted to throw his axe at her, but it missed and slammed against the ground with the sound of metal pinging against the stone.
He now turned to Selibas and the others, who were all intent on watching his battle. "So what!? Ye got me!" He shouted, raising his arms up high. He then turned his attention briefly to a pillar next to him and smashed one of his fists into it. "I dunna want ta be yonder in yer Bern cage! That's where so many a Bern's truest be held!"
He then stepped closer to Selibas, looking down towards him. "I like ye lad. Ye know ye got the courage of a wolf and that might'a one too. Thank ye fer tha chance to draw some of that biddy's blood." His eyes shot over to Obrem and Prudence and he gave them a mean scowl, maintaining it as he scanned over to the guards.

Zach was still standing in the spot he attacked from, watching the exchange between the two mercenary men. The bigger of the two's voice was nearly unintelligible, he finally concluded. To tell the truth, Zach hadn't really been listening to what he said the entirety of the time.
He took a glance behind him. Still no sign of his teacher, which made him feel a little uncomfortable. He wasn't a moron; Zach would think he'd check here first opposed to say, the local pubs. If not for all the history than for the fact people were crowding around the building, after the skirmish that had happened. Maybe he should slide over so he wasn't directly in front of the door, just in case his teacher did show up here.
Boy, that would be awkward.
He was almost glad this skirmish happened. He had a chance to try out his magic on something other than stone walls of varying heights with bright red targets painted on them. Shame he could only do the shadow ball trick instead of using the tome's full potential.
If the bald one was looking to join the Resistance, maybe Zach could tag along with him as well as Selibas when they shoved off!

Selibas had to question why the Wyverns had not attacked. He looked at them and they had no true emotion. They seemed indifferent to the entire situation. Well no need to involve them if he didn't need to. He moved away from where he stood closer to the Rebel, he whispered, "Maybe we should leave before anything to large and dangerous happens." There was no real question on the faces of the curators as Selibas carried the new sword out in it's sheathe.
The young Sacaen motioned for Zach to follow him. He grabbed his sword belt, and slipped off the large blade. Walking back to the downed male Wyvern Rider, Selibas took off the mans belt, and buckled it around his chest, over one shoulder and under the other. There was a slip just large enough to hold the large blade and it's sheathe. He placed the light sword into the last remaining loop on his left hip. The curator approached as he led his little band out of the museum through the crowd. He spoke softly to Selibas, "You wear Curtana, the Brand of the Sunrise. I'm not sure how I feel about rading one theft for another... but you've awoken some kind of magic that wasn't here before. As I'm sure your battle has awoken the coffers. If you ever feel the need to feed my family again, take something smaller. He faded back into the crowd. Selibas took a cloth from his bag and wrapped it around his head. No reason to take any chances with the guards memories.

Seeing how the guards were too timid to act against him and the two riders subdued, he retrieved his axe off the ground and placed it back within its holster. "Aye, lad. I'm with ye on that." He spoke, his demeanor cooling off back into the typical level-headed Cyril.
Even if the boy were luring him into something else than what he said, sticking around served him better off right now. Actually, Cyril was content on the high of adrenaline that drawing blood earlier gave him. By the time he reached back with Selibas, he was finishing up talking with an old man. The caretaker? Bah, whatever.
He followed in behind Selibas, not for a moment still keeping his eyes keen on those guards, who were clearly disgruntled. It made him grin that they were keeping their mouths shut only because they didn't want to get brutalized by the two.

Zach hastened after the big berserk and the young Sacaen. He couldn't help but feel a pang of envy after the beautiful ancestral sword Selibas had received from the museum curator. A sword like that was almost as rare and beautiful as a Regal Blade. It was worth a lot of golden coins too. Ah well, he thought, as he pushed the envy into the mental garbage bin of his mind.
"Erm, Selibas?" he murmured. "What's, ah.. the big one's name? He was too intimidated by the fighter to ask his name. Even now he saw bits and pieces of the bloodlust he craved, left over in his eyes. But who knew, he may just be very good company. Zach needed to learn to decipher that likely Southeastern Bernese accent, though. It was like trying to learn an ancient language, the way the man talked. Sure he could understand a little, but not much.
Meanwhile, as they walked from the building, Zach put his hood up. He was willing to bet gold to apples that he hadn't actually been seen clearly during the fight, but since he was closest to the door, he could never be too cautious. Unnecessary attention would only draw more unnecessary intruders. Not like they'd be hard to find as a group; he had only just noticed all of them were wearing a majority of the color green.

Ooc: After this, one post each, then we join up with Kelvin. Make 'em count.
Ic: Selibas whispered under his breath, "Not so sure myself." He raised his voice once more, "What's your name there smile of the patriot?" Did I just make an attempt at poetry? Selibas thought. Must be the new sword. He had all of his things ready to go, but the other two might need time to prepare. That was if they were even coming with him.
He stopped when they were a good distance away from the gathering crowds. He looked at the two men, "Alright, I'll be practicing by the city's southern stables for about an hour, any preparations you all need to make should be done then. I know this is sudden Zachar, but I heard your battle cry in there, and we could always use another Magi. If you don't meet us, I'll assume you decided not to come, and don;t worry over that." He turned on his heel, and walked away.

Looking around, a little paranoid of a guardsman to pop out and get a cheap shot on him, he replied to Selibas softly enough, although his scruffy voice cut through the air. "Cyril Schweitzer from mountains east a the big pond. Don't care fer what names folk put on it." Cyril almost wanted to punch Selibas in the face for his fancy wording. He wasn't doing much smiling.
"Me gear's stashed over yonder same stables. Let's get walking, then." Cyril said with a commanding tone, hurrying along at a quick pace. He was not so much noticing the scholarly sprout moving about, easy to overlook.
"Get movin'! Don't be wastin' time tha Eight gave us!" he growled, not wanting to turn back and fetch the lad.

"Urgh..."
Zach cursed himself for getting painted into a corner. He so desperately burned with the desire to join the two. On the other hand, he had literally nothing on him but the clothes on his back, a book that hurt people and some medicine. And if his teacher caught him during a revolt? Oh boy.. Mistress Khayri, that was the her name. She supported the Illian Occupation, despite being Bernese. He'd also be schoolbound for a month if he was caught now. He had to make a split second decision, there was no time to lose.
Just gonna have to sneak around her, she can't possibly be back at the house now, Zach thought.
He took one glance at the fighting men taking their separate roads. "I'm joining this brigade, whether it takes me a day or a season! If I'm not back... then I got caught. Right then!" He raced off towards the academy, as fast as his legs could carry him, praying to Saint Elimine--even though he didn't really believe in her teachings-- that he wouldn't be seen by any of his mates.
***
It went better than expected. He had gotten in and out with a pack on his back, held up twice by other teachers questioning him. By the time he arrived back at the stables, he was completely paranoid he'd be found. Sweating buckets, in fact. His voice sounded haggard as he belted out his sentences to Selibas, still practicing.
"Hah...hah... completely.. across town... got here as... fast as I could.. huff..."
He had made it with about ten minutes to spare. Almost completely spent, he dropped his pack and flopped on the ground roughly to sit beside it.

Ooc: We will be moving to Returning to service after this post, I'll introduce you all and all that. Thanks for your patience.
Ic: Selibas turned to see Zacharia arrive. Good, now they could leave with hours left of daylight. It would probably take him a day to catch up on Lightning, but the other two didn't have horses. At least Cyril didn't and Zach hadn't mentioned it so it was safe to assume. The small horse probably couldn't fit Cyril, but Zach wouldn't feel too different from his usual master. Odd to remember the little steed had started his life as a pack horse, and was now the noble stallion of three might heroes. Stop this style of thinking me. Selibas shook his head.
"Alright, we're leaving now. It'll take us two to three days to get there. Don't worry, I'm used to following people who know how to hide their presence, these men won't be hard to find. Zach, you're riding Lightning," Selibas patted the little horses rump to a startled breath, "this little fella' until we stop today. That's an order."
End Thread.
