Name: Michaela Lux
Class: Cleric
Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Blue
Age:14
Appearance: Height 5' 4" weighs in at 100 pounds even. Michaela has matured past the point of baby fat, but has yet to fully grow, resulting in a slightly lanky look.
Clothes: Having been raised and trained in a run-down church on the outskirts of Pherae, Michaela dons a worn mage cloak rather than the traditional religious garb most healers wear.
Born in: She was born into a small, impoverished village in Pherae, but was moved to a church at the young age of 2 after bandits destroyed most of her hometown and killed many, including both of her parents.
Story:
"Children? Dears, get up!" Michaela smiled lazily and streched out her thin frame before throwing her covers off of her. She glanced at the three girls she shared a room with imitated her movements, blinking the sleep out of their eyes. Their confused expressions caused Michaela to start, the room was still lit by the candle that went out after they went to bed...what was-- The door slammed open, causing all four girls to gave a little shriek that was promptly silenced when Miss Grey, their caretaker, entered the room. "I want none of the usual dilly-dallying from you ladies, get dressed right away, we need to move!" With that said, she stalked out of the room, probably to wake the younger girls. "What's going on?" The question was pitched by Aryll, the youngest of the four girls. Michaela ignored the question because she couldn't answer it, electing instead to look out the window into the black of night as she got dressed.

The halls were chaos as Michaela made her way to the hall, as everyone had no doubt been instructed as well. What could all this be about...? Michaela frowned and adjusted the clasp on her cloak as she strode briskly down the hallway...and then she was sprawled on the ground. "Oh, I'm sorry! I wasn't watching where I was going..." Michaela didn't need to look up to know who she had bumped into. Her cheeks reddened as she took the proffered hand. "It's my fault Wilhelm, you don't need to a-apologize..." Wilhelm grinned at her, his blue eyes sparkling under his curly blond hair. "Nay, nay, my lady. 'Tis entirely my fault!" He adopted a mocking tone, Michaela growled and shoved him, but gave up her act as she giggled, "Oh, quiet, you. Let's go." They walked side by side, the oldest girl and the oldest guy in the orphanage, Wilhelm being 18...he should have left by now, Michaela often found herself privately wishing it was because of her.
"There you are!" Lady Grey was at her usual place at the end of the dining hall, but she was pacing back and forth, constantly talking aside with the other adults of the abby. "I want you to gather your roommates and be ready--" Mr. Vren, the groundskeeper, practically sprinted up the hall to Miss Grey's side, after a hushed yet fervent conversation, Mr. Vren ran right back out. "What was--" Miss Grey overrode Wilhelm's question, "you need to be ready to go in 15 minutes, get moving!" Michaela looked at her questioningly, then turned towards Wilhelm and shrugged as they went their separate ways. Apparently the abby was taking a trip...in the middle of the night.
It was raining as Michaela lead her roommates outside. They had brought just their clothes, as instructed, this whole thing seems weird! Michaela's nose wrinkled in irritation as the occupants of the abby moved in a group down the road. All this rain, there's mud everywhere...and with mud comes fallen horses and twisted ankles... an excited smile ceized Michaela's face. Oooh! I wonder if I can help Miss Grey with healings! I'd just take--Michaela's face paled so suddenly that Wilhelm ran over to her, "Michaela? What's wrong?" His voice sounded muffled in the midst of Michaela's panic. I forgot my brand new staff!!! Miss Grey had given it to her after she managed to heal a scrape a girl had gotten playing in the yard.
"Wilhelm." Michaela spoke in a hushed, strained voice, "I need your help with something." Wilhelm walked closer and eyed Mr. Vren watchfully as he approached her. "What's up?" He spoke in the same hushed tone, he always seemed to catch on quick. "I want to go back to the abby--no listen!" Wilhelm was already shaking his head, they had been told they could NOT go back under any circumstances. "This is important! I forgot my healing staff! My very first healing staff!" Wilhelm's eyes widened, he had been hearing all about Michaela's lessons and knew how important earning that staff had been to her. "Michaela..." she could already hear his refusal, "please, Wilhelm!" He eyed her up doubtfully, and then his eyes seemed to glass over and Michaela gasped as he adjusted his traveling cloak to reveal a sword. She had heard that he trained in protection with Mr. Vren but to own his own sword..."Let's go, we can't let them see us go." Wilhelm was much more serious than his usual self, but they snuck off with no trouble.
Wilhelm drew his sword as they approached the abby...It seemed to be deserted, but they had agreed on the way back that they had been warned for a reason. "Are you certain I shouldn't come in with you?" He had heatedly insisted on being by her side the entire time, Michaela had a hard time not bringing him along just for his company, but she wanted to change into the cloak Miss Grey had given her alongside the staff. "I'm certain, just keep watch, I'll be five minutes!" Wilhelm frowned and Michaela suppressed a giggle as she went into the abby, such attention!
Michaela sprinted through the abby, her steps echoed off of the stonework as it had when she snuck out of bed to wander the grounds and watch the stars. She burst into her bedroom, the candle had gone out, but the moonlight lit the room well enough, everything was as they had left it. She fumbled through the semi-darkness to her wardrobe, her hands struggled to open it, but she got it. The blue orb atop of her brand new heal staff winked in the darkness. Her hands trembled as she caressed the worn wood, it was everything she had dreamed of. "AAARGH!" Michaela jumped, Wilhelm?! She accelerated the process of removing her traveling clothes and putting on her healer's cloak as she went to the window. Fighting! Three men against Wilhelm! I have to help him!!! Michaela snagged her healer's cloak and staff and charged down the stairs.
Michaela hesistated at the front door, hiding in the shadows. She had no idea what combat sounded like...but the front yard sounded deserted..."D-d-d-don't be afraid...." a small voice in her head tried to steady her, but it wasn't doing much, He's fine, Mr. Vren trained him well, and he's perfectly ok...If he's not...well, you know how to heal, nevermind that you've only healed scratches and are still training, everything is going to be ooook.... Michaela swallowed her fear, feeling a lump catch in her throat, and turned around the corner. There was a single figure laying in the front path, with a sword by it. The man's curly blond hair was lank from the rain..."WILHELM!!!"
Tears were already blinding Michaela as she settled by Wilhelm's side, "Are you alright? Where did those men go?! Are you hurt?!" Stop. The voice was back, but much firmer, Michaela realized this voice was Miss Grey's. Michaela stifled a sob as she reached out to touch Wilhelm's neck. Cold. The sob broke through and Michaela hunched over. "N-n-no! You c-can't be! Wake up!" She grabbed his shoulders and shook, the way he limply shifted in her grip made her want to vomit. "W-will, I wanted to...W-w-will, I have my staff and.....I have my staff!"
Michaela giggled through her tears as she picked her healing staff off of the muddy path, she was being silly with all this drama. Now if I just focus...Open my spirit...Elimine, let this work... A minute passed, two minutes, three minutes. Tears started to flow down Michaela's tears, mixing with the rain. Just a little more...here we go... Another minute, then two, then three...I-I can't...W-w-will... The orb at the end of her staff sparked, and Michaela felt energy build up in it. Y-yes! Now if I just direct the energy towards Will... Michaela reached with her mind, seeking Wilhelm's body, as she had with the girl's scrape she mended a week ago. The energy made contact, but Michaela gasped and broke down sobbing immediately after. Dead, she head felt his death in her spirit, cold, hard, unforgiving. "W-will!" The name faltered on her lips, and she sank to the mud, unconscious.
