With a great exhalation of air from his lungs, Kyle let out a mighty sigh. Taking back streets to avoid attention, he made his was to the tavern that everyone was supposed to be in. And he walked past making sure no one saw him. He continued out of the town the way the group was supposed to leave. He needed some time to himself, other people would just interrupt him.
Stopping at a particularly large and sturdy looking tree, Kyle began to pick up leafs and dress his dog in them before making it stay in a bush near the tree, quite unseeable unless someone were to specifically be looking for the dog. Putting the finishing touches on the camouflage, Kyle's attention was suddenly transfixed on something. It was there, on the bush, the only one there, a flower. The crimson red of the petals slowly faded to a brilliant purple then finally fading to a deep ocean blue near the stem. The flower held Kyle transfixed in it's beauty for moments that seemed like hours before he snapped out of his trance like state. He wanted it, it's pure elegance called to him, but picking it would be killing it, but also anything could also happen to it out here. Kyle had to make a choice that was much harder than it seemed, hard to him at least. Who knew what some of the brutes in his group would do to it. With a somewhat heave heart and mind, he picked the flower.
After picking the flower, Kyle looked up towards the tree and jumping up, his arms fully extended, he placed a firm grip on the lowest of the branches. With a slight struggle he pulled himself up into the tree and proceeded to climb the tree until he hit a well concealed part of the tree where two branches connected at the tree, making a V shape, a good place to rest. Crossing his legs he sat there holding the flower. What should he do with it?he couldn't think of any ways to keep it alive too long...... Wait. There was something he saw once, what was it? It was something like they put it in a book and kept it pressed into the pages. He only had one book with him though, and that was supposed to be his journal. He could just put it at the end, it wasn't too likely that he would fill the whole book.
Taking the flower, he gently placed it near the end of the book before swiftly closing the book and binding it tightly in a special, extremely complicated, knot that his father had made up his father said that knot could do anything. Feeling contented about the flower, Kyle slipped his book back into his pack and pulled out his bow and some arrows out of his quiver and set them on his lap. Feeling set up he closed his eyes and began to meditate, trying to help himself become in tune with nature and improve his senses other than sight. That's what his Father had instructed him to do. With that, Kyle began to clear his mind of the day's events.
